My husband and I love Dans grill and visit quite often when we are at our cabin in Suches. This past weekend, my brother and sister came for a cabin weekend and I decided to take them to Dans for dinner. I would like to make a suggestion for better service. We ordered the appetizer sampler and when the server brought it to us, we asked her what each item was and her reply was "I don't know, I've only been here 2 weeks." That's understandable, but when a customer is asking a simple question, the reply should have been, I don't know, but I'll be glad to find out." When she returned to our table later, we then again asked her if she found out what each item was and again we got "I don't know." She seemed like a very nice young lady, but needs to learn at her young age; the correct way to give customer service. Awesome food! We make the 45 minute drive to Blairsville monthly, just to eat there. The Churasco Steak is the best I've had, and the skinny fries complement it perfectly! Service is always great and the restaurant is always spotless. read more

Best food in town, highly recommended. This Cuban food is fantastic and the service is good. The food is better then many Cuban restaurants in ATL. The prices are reasonable, around $10. The only complaint I have is that they use iceburg lattice in salads, meaning it's a pretty low-end salad. Cafe conleche is great. read more

Hands down the BEST restaurant in Blairsville! Very consistent and always fresh! Delicious and authentic Cuban food as well as many traditional dishes. We visited Dan's recently. The food was very good, authentic Cuban. The plantains (platanos) were seasoned just right, not overly salted. The Vaca Frita (seasoned flank steak with grilled onions) was good. The portions were a little too big IMO, just a personal observation. Rating a restaurant is not just about the food, but also about the experience of the staff. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. However, our experience of the hostess was not favorable. She wasn't interested in our questions about how some of the dishes were prepared, and just wanted for us pay the bill and move along. Kind of put a sour note on our experience of the evening. But I won't hold it against the restaurant. Give it a try if you're in the area. read more

Best restaurant in Blairsville! This is our family's go to place and where we bring all our friends from out of town. You truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu! We have been here many times. We went last night at 7 pm. We asked the hostess ( older woman) if we could sit in a booth. She rudely responded "if you insist" and then muttered something under her breath. The only waitress present was folding silverware packs. As we were seated, she said loudly "well I guess I am not going home early". We felt like we were not welcome at all. We are locals so not sure what the issue was, however we won't be going back. Customer service is so important ! We like the food there but don't need the rudeness. read more

Great Cuban food. Rude owner guy from kitchen yelled for is to sit somewhere else after no one seated us when we entered. Were ignored by our waitress (wife of the owner) the entire meal she never checked on us once or refilled our drinks because she was too busy chatting with friends who came in. I have eaten at almost ALL Cuban places in the metro Atlanta area, Dan's Grill is at the very top in their food quality. My wife and I drove two hours from Lawrenceville, Ga and were rewarded with one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Everything tasted fresh as it sure scratched my itch for good Cuban food. We are from Miami, and we find this restaurant to have better food than most places in Florida. Dans is family owned and it feels like we are eating homemade cuban food. I tried this restaurant for the first time last month. I ordered the ropa vieja with congri and steamed yucca. The ropa vieja (shredded beef) was well seasoned and delicious. The congri was executed right and the star was the steamed yucca! A friend mentioned to me that they have had better in Miami.
