Just learned that Dantana was just started in 2003, but it looks and feels more like a matured restaurant. I really like the location and the ambiance.It is really a hidden gem in Lenox ,even though I drove through here 100s of times I just found this one. My checking in here wont disappointment me at all. It's more like a sports bar with upscale ambiance,if they decide to drop the sports label then it will be surely an upscale restaurant. We waited 45-1 hour just to order our food. We sat before a huge party yet they received their food and drinks before us. Once our food came out two of our steaks were cold, one order was wrong, our roasted garlic mash potatoes were definitely instant mash potatoes, and vegetables had no seasoning and was burnt. The first manager Lisa, attempted to reassure us by telling the table our food was coming and that she had something for us. She gave us a bottle of champagne which some people at the table didn't drink alcohol. After prodding us to have faith and to wait to see how we felt once the food came out ( which was cold), we spoke to another manager higher than her whose name is Brad. Brad was giving us the same soliloquy about the kitchen and seating and after some time passed finally offered us 25%. We have been here since 7:00 and it is 10:22 and the server got our checks wrong a couple of times. Then he saw Brad braggadociously mock us to the other manager. This is one of my favorite sports bars to watch games at in Buckhead. They have a very large bar with lots of seating and huge TVs to watch several games at once behind the bar. They have a very nice outdoor patio area with multiple TVs outside as well to continue your sports watching. It's very shaded so you won't have to worry about being directly in the sun during hot summer days. I have tried several of the dishes on the menu and I've always been pleased with the food. The crab and corn chowder is very good. They also have a lobster cobb salad that's delicious with an ample amount of lobster meat on it. They have a very nice craft beer selection and they make great cocktails as well. read more

A friend of mine from L.A. was in town for a weekend and felt like having a good steak for dinner, but obviously not at a restaurant that can also be found in California. We turned to good ol' Yelp for a steak place near his hotel in Buckhead, and we came across Dantanna's. Located next to Lenox Square Mall, it was pretty close, so we decided to try it out. At first, we were told we would have to wait a while unless we wanted to sit in the patio area. My friend didn't really care, as long as he got to watch the USC vs. Oregon football game from where we were seated. The patio was spacious and pretty empty - except for the couple that was smoking. Now I don't know about you, but I hate the smell of cigarettes - especially while I'm trying to eat. So, after trying to tolerate the stench for a few minutes, I finally just told my friend that I'd rather wait for however long we needed to wait than sit out here and EAT while inhaling second-hand smoke. He didn't care either way, so I told the hostess that we would wait for table inside. Fortunately we only needed to wait about 10 minutes for a table (after the hostess had initially told us it would be like 20 to 30 minutes). And luckily for my friend, the USC vs. Oregon game was on the screen directly in front of our table. Although I am a Trojan, I was never really into football and didn't care about the game. I was really hoping the steak was good because I just kinda sat there (with my back to the screen) while my friend was enjoying the game. After looking at the menu for a few minutes and being a little appalled by the prices, I decided to order the 8 oz Top Sirloin ($21!!!) cooked to medium temperature. My friend ordered the 14 oz Ribeye ($28). All steaks come with your choice of two sides, and I decided on the Bearnaise Mushrooms and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. I thought the sirloin steak was good, but not the best I've ever had. And I recall that it was cooked more medium-well than medium, but I didn't want to complain to the server. The Bernaise Mushrooms, which looked to be a mixture of two or three different types of mushrooms cooked in the buttery and herb-infused Bernaise sauce, were really flavorful and delicious. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes were also very good. However, I could not see how the price of $21 could be justified! To top it off, when I got my check, I noticed that the server had added a couple bucks as an "extra charge" for ordering the Bernaise Mushrooms as one of my sides. The check indicated that it was a "premium side" or something. Funny thing is, nowhere on the menu does it indicate (with an asterisk or separate section) that any of the sides were "premium" sides that one would be charged extra for. So I informed my server, who then had to "check on this" and then came back with the corrected check. I know that Dantanna's is supposed to be an "upscale" sports bar type of restaurant, but maybe that's what I hate most about it. I mean seriously, this is NOT a nice place to go with someone who does not enjoy watching sports. However, my friend seemed to like this place as he got to watch the game he thought he was going to miss AND enjoy his 14 oz Ribeye. Two birds with one stone for steak and sports lovers! Overall, I feel that Dantanna's deserves 2.5 stars. The service was just "meh," my steak wasn't cooked as I wanted it, it was overpriced, they tacked on an unnecessary extra charge, and I just did not like the idea of the upscale sports bar. I feel like a place should be either a nice restaurant OR a sports bar, but it can't be both. Dantanna's provides the upscale sports bar atmosphere of a FOX Sports Grill or ESPN Zone without hitting you over the head with the big corporate souvenirs and name brands of the other two. The prices are similar and the viewing atmosphere is comparable, but the food at Dantanna's is typically better than the other upscale sports bars. Dantanna's has one of the biggest TV's I've ever seen in the bar. The picture quality is phenomenal, and it's a good atmosphere to get a group of friends together to watch a game. The staff is good, service is much better here than FOX or ESPN Zone as well. The final touch that puts it over the top versus its competitors is the big patio that overlooks Lenox Mall. True, the view is kind of blah, but outdoor seating with plasma screens so you can still watch sports is a winner with me every time. read more

We went here for my mom's birthday because she used to talk about this place all the time. I told her I picked it because I thought it was one of her favorite places. They must have had a special section for birthdays this particular evening because literally the table in front of us and behind us was celebrating birthdays. I've now been to all three Dantanna's locations and once again had a great experience at the Buckhead location. I am giving this location 5 stars because I had really outstanding service from one of the waitresses working in the bar area. She was friendly, polite, and took good care of me without being overbearing or intrusive. As with the other locations, this Dantanna's is excellent for sports viewing with a theater-like experience provided by the big screen behind the bar and the curving seats in front of the bar. There is a lot of excitement from fans of different teams rooting for their team. The food is several notches above your typical sports bar food, but is not much more expensive than most other sports bars, at least for the burgers and sandwiches. I had a BCS burger which had a huge patty of high quality beef with some cheese and mushrooms. It was juicy and moist and extremely tasty. They have about eight drafts on tap. Most are from local breweries. I assume that some of these are rotating drafts. I had two different beers: an Eventide stout and the Three Taverns Single Intent. The Single Intent was not my style and I wouldn't order it again, but I appreciated being able to try out different beers that I haven't had before. I enjoyed the Eventide stout, but have had better stouts. The parking, by the way, is easy and convenient, with a free lot available with plenty of spots when I visited on a Saturday night. I strongly recommend any of the Dantanna's restaurants, especially for people who want to watch a game while they drink or have a meal. read more

We came here for a family dinner, and it was a nice atmosphere for that. We were looking for a place to get a classic American meal, either steak and a baked potato or salmon, and we were very satisfied. I ordered a sirloin, medium rare, which was cooked to perfection and tasted about as lean and melt-in-your-mouth as a filet (albeit with more flavor), which to me is a sign of excellent preparation. Both parents got the blackened salmon, and the restaurant was accommodating of one's request for it to be lightly blackened and cooked well. Both parents were impressed, and I must admit the salmon was as good as other fish places I've eaten at. Returned two times since then, got the steak once more, and most recently tried the oysters, which weren't quite as good at the steak compared to other places, but still a good meal. The place is intimate. It is reminiscent of the Cheers bar. My friends and I met there for a Secret Santa gift exchange and they definitely accommodated us well. We were sat comfortably and the host and servers were great. Our food came out timely and hot. However, I was not very impressed with it. I ordered the Cajun chicken eggrolls and they were not seasoned or Cajun at all. Another lady ordered them and echoed my sentiments. I've heard of Dantanna's for several years and decided on New Year's day to give it a shot. When I walked in, I thought it looked a little old and tired. The service was very good. Our server did a really nice job when we got the order the shrimp was greasy and was not all that good. the salmon fillet was actually quite tasty, but I didn't understand mushroom gravy on it. One thing I thought was interesting you got charge for bacon and cheese for a loaded baked potato. I don't know that I've ever seen that before however, to be fair, I don't believe I ever noticed being charged for it. Overall I wasn't overly impressed. Dantanna's has a nice atmosphere. I definitely recommend it for a date night. I sat outside and it was a really nice view. They had TV's set up everywhere do you could catch any game going on. The waitresses were professional and ours was able to memorize our entire order without a pen and paper. My memory sucks so I was throughly impressed. The food is a little pricey, but it is so delicious. I ordered a burger and dressed it up with all the toppings. I think both our bills together came up to $40 so it wasn't too bad. Over the years, I've passed this restaurant many times. My husband and I finally decided to give this place a try and we keep coming back for obvious reasons. We've ordered the She Crab Soup every time we come here, I think the soup is good, but my husband raves about it! I've had the Wasabi Tuna (rare) with garlic mashed potatoes and garlic spinach - very good dish. I would have really wanted more shiitake-soy glaze on my tuna, but I can live with the way they made it. One of our friends had the Braised Lamb Shank, and he said it was very good. I didn't try it because I don't like lamb. The steaks are also good here, but I've only had it with Dantanna's house dry rub, so I can't really tell you how the sauces are. Overall, our experiences are always good, and I never had a bad experience here, and the service it great, so I will be back. read more

After about a year of working across the street from Dantanna's I decided to finally give them a try last week. From first glance after walking in it appears that Dantanna's is an overpriced sports bar, but that is what one would expect next door to Lenox Mall. The prices here are reasonable for the area, and the service and food were great making it worth the money spent. For lunch I asked the server for her recommendations and she suggested the Rubin sandwich, so I went with that. The Rubin was delicious with it tender corn beef on marbled rye with sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing. The fries that came with the Rubin were just OK; would have been better if they used fresh cut fries that I was expecting from a place like this. Overall, Dantanna's provides a great meal. Went in for brunch today with a dear friend and even though the weather was beautiful and a bit chilly, we decided to sit out on the patio with the heaters for a change of scenery. The service was better than the last time I came even though the waitress was a bit slow at times. I will say that even though she was slow, she explained where the delays in service was coming from so that made things better. We sat outside for dinner and it was not too busy. Service staff was amazing very courteous and knowledgeable. For starter we had the oysters, mainly a selection of east coast oysters, not that great almost seemed like they were water logged, no real flavor to them. Next we had soups I had the gumbo it was good, but a little too spicy for my liking. We shared the seared tuna plate. Tuna was prepared well, but again nothing to write home about. We ordered our food promptly and after 50 minutes, we still didn't get our food. Our server hadn't checked on us since we got our drinks an hour before. We talked to the manager and she said that the kitchen got our ticket 8 minutes ago because of a printing issue. No apologies or empathy from her. We asked if we could get our food to go. We went to dinner here on Friday night. I ordered the Dantanna 's Cioppino. I was disappointed because the description included lobster, king crab, shrimp, and fresh fish. There was literally a single small king crab leg on the plate and what looked like half of a split lobster. There were about three shrimp and a whole lot of fish chunks. Though the portions of the good stuff were very skimpy, everything was delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was tasty. My partner ordered the ribeye with the Dantanna's house rub, blackened shrimp, and garlic mashed potatoes. She enjoyed her meal. We had a Margarita and Moscow mule and both were tasty. The atmosphere was nice, quiet, and laid back. The lighting was dim. Quite nice! It took about fifteen minutes before the server came to greet us, which is a little longer than I'd like. When she did come she was very pleasant and attentive. We finished with the chocolate creme brulee, which was also good. I would revisit Dantanna's, but the traffic around Lenox was a beast on a Friday night so I'd try a different night or a different location and I would not order the Cioppino again. I wanted to sit outdoor with my family, a party of six. I was told they are not seating parties of six outdoor, only indoor. That is not problem, it is a pandemic. I said OK, I will just make a reservation for two parties of 3. I did not ask for the tables to be near each other or anything. The hostess begins to talk to me like a child and says " I have you down for a party of 6 indoor, like I said. Why would I split your party up when I have other parties here". Well, overall the experience was good. The steak was tasty the beer was good and the service was pretty great. With all that in mind, my steak was ordered med rare and could have been a little less medium with a little more rare. I ordered the ribeye with mashed sweet potatoes and a salad that came out before with champagne lime vin and it was very good. I ordered the Kentucky Bourbon barrel Ale to start and an old fashioned later... I sent back the old fashioned because it just didn't taste right. Honestly I am particular about how you make an old fashioned because so many people get it wrong. I ordered it conservative (no muddled fruit) and that's how it came. The server was really nice about it and the manager as well. The replacement wasn't much better so I just went with it. Overall I will most likely return to this place. Just placed an Uber Eats order during my lunch hour. I ordered the Bison Burger and the Mac n Cheese. The Bison Burger was cooked perfectly and was VERY flavorful. I think this may have been the best burger I have ever had! The Mac n Cheese was delicious. I was so full but couldn't stop eating it! It was the perfect mixture of creamy and cheesy. This place has such high quality and tasty food! I would definitely order from here again and am thinking about visiting on a weekend for dinner! read more
