I think I should've ordered the pancakes because after ordering I saw the folks next to us get them and they looked soooo good. The French toast was okay (the Texas actually being better than the sweet in my opinion!) -- the extra $1.50 for real syrup was probably not worth it though (I think I have absurdly high syrup standards). I wish it was open later than 1 because I'd love to grab lunch here too, but at 12 I was still able to order breakfast food which I always appreciate. read more

I just love everything there is about the family owned Diner. My father went every Sunday , he passed away last year... they have his airforce picture on there wall. I come to visit my Mom every weekend from NYC...our 1st stop is always Destiny's... The staff always greats us with a big welcome and my favorite is Donna the owner... her and family all work there. 4 friends went there on Friday 11/16/25 for lunch . The waitress was great, funny, friendly and efficient. There were many specials to choose from. We each got something different. I had the steak bomb and it was the best I have had in a long time. The onion rings were crisp and tasty. And if that wasn't enough the prices are so very reasonable, I was shocked. Tried this local breakfast place for the first time this morning. Had the Ronda's Special - 2 eggs, sausage, bacon and hash browns. (You could get home fries but I wanted to switch it up and was glad I did - the hash browns were crispy on the outside and well seasoned) I thought it was a very solid breakfast at a very fair price - the place itself is quite large - we sat at the counter and had fast, friendly service. Absolutely delicious. There are a lot of comments on how it was really bad service I am thinking maybe the pandemic was a decent way for them to mitigate breakfast rush. I loved how they put fresh fruit on my sons pancake and it was shaped like Mickey Mouse. Breakfast sandwich was good along with yummy home fries, yummy greasy breakfast. My only downgrade would be they did not offer real maple syrup (but I am a syrup snob with thick New England blood, and I didn't ask) my son didn't notice and didn't eat it and I'd rather take it easy on the sugar anyways. This was my second time there because I was just in the area. I had the Destinys special, which is French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage. The price is very good. I was asked if I wanted toast or home fries, and because I wasn't looking at the menu I thought the special came with it. I really think you should be told if somethings extra. I had the homefries and was sorry. 1, because they were awful, and 2, because I had to pay extra for that privilege. They were were mushy and literally blackened. I have been there one other time when it was quite busy and the wait was awful. My food came cold. This time there was tons of seating, and the wait was a bit more reasonable. I have to remind myself never to order their home fries again, and the sausage had a weird chemical taste to it so let's not have that again either. read more

Simply had eggs, home fries, toast and coffee. If you want home cooking and conversation it's a must to eat here. I was afraid to ask for a spoon to stir my coffee as I wasn't given any silverware. Been coming here for breakfast during my brief vacation here in Bristol while visiting family. My husband had ordered the Rhonda special. Definitely the best diner in the area. When we walked in two waitresses we're arguing with each other behind the counter. Popped in for a cheap quick bite while I was washing dog beds at the laundromat next door. Horrible service. Waited fifteen minutes before we got coffee. I had to ask someone if there was a waitress that was serving that section. We were served coffee by a local paying customer that doesn't even work there. How ridiculous is that!?! We finally got service ten minutes later and then it took another fifteen minutes to get our breakfast. The food was horrible. Eggs were definitely from a box and my omelet had no taste at all. If there were a no star rating I would be clicking that instead. The diner was busy and slow this morning and I understand that restaurants get busy and slow, but that does not mean being inconsiderate or rude is okay. At least greet us and tell us you will be with us when you can. Our waitress did not greet us, and throughout our awful service did not ask how we were doing or how the food was. We had to ask for a menu, ask for drinks that were forgotten about and then ask for our check. The food was good but not great. Service from our waitress was awful, I'm pretty sure our waitress was the owner so needless to say Destiny lost 6 customers that could have potentially been a great place for us on the weekends since we live so close. read more

Worst dining experience of my life. Very busy for them on a Sunday morning, waited for a spot to sit. Ended up at the counter, we were all super hungry. I asked if I could look at a menu while we were waiting. The girl said, " my mom has to give it to you". I was dumb founded, so I asked again thinking I misunderstood, receiving the same answer and "Yeah we all have jobs and that's hers, but I can clean you counter." (By the way took her three trips to clear the counter that just had napkins and cream containers while two others girls stood at the register looking at us) Our waitress, the mother, walked by. I was fired up and said "is there anyway I can peek at a menu? She said "I still have to give them menus, take their order and pour coffee, then you'll get your menus". I was in shock, I only wanted to see wtf I wanted to eat while I patiently waited my turn to order. Finally it was our turn, "the mother" came over to greet us with nothing but a frown. Asked my mom if she wanted coffee. Then proceeded to get the pot, pour my moms coffee and looked at me like I was trash saying "you?" I shook my head no. (By the way Rhonda I don't drink coffee!) Her response, "this isn't going to get any better so why don't you just leave" & stormed away. I sat there in shock, with my 12-year-old daughter and 75-year-old mother. She comes back and says "why are you still here?" "My family is hungry", I replied. "Well I'm not taking your order so get out!" Then her husband starts screaming at us. Found this hole in the wall while parking for Ace Hardware which shares a strip shopping center in Bristol. Breakfast all day so why not at 1:00 on a weekday. It's brightly lit with 8 ish tables and an equal number of stools at a counter, just as one would expect. About 25% full, seemingly all regulars. I see what another reviewer felt about the " banter" behind the counter, somewhat negative and somewhat humorous. Some people just interact that way. I took it for humor. At any rate, we're here for the food, right? Simply had eggs, home fries, toast and coffee which I would characterize as " adequate". Scrambled were over done and the fries were soggy with onion which was cut big enough for me to remove. Price was 5.64 including tax. There are numerous, better places for breakfast within a couple of miles so, though I won't say never, I probably have this one out of my system for a while. read more
