I love Dantini pizza and it's our most frequently eaten takeout pizza. Flavorful crust with the right amount of chew, reheats pretty well. Toppings are good too -- get a white pie with mushrooms and caramelized garlic, you'll won't regret it! And the pizzas are pretty large, making it a relative bargain for Seattle (we can feed our family of four on two pies with leftovers). Only off note is that the cheese has been pretty sparse lately on the red deluxe -- hope that's a temporary blip! read more

A tale of two restaurants. We have been there several times and had the regular pie with red sauce and pepperoni, and other varieties of ingredients and it is always FANTASTIC. Like some of the best pizza we've had, and my wife is from NYC. However, this past weekend we went and they let us know that their oven was broken and so they could only do grandma style pies (square with thicker fluffier crust for the newbs). Thinking there was no way that the grandma pie couldn't be as good as the normal pie, we decided to proceed - but while ordering we were told that they were out of half of the toppings etc that we wanted (no peppers, no roasted garlic, no blue cheese dressing), we thought twice but still proceeded opting for a GMA pie w red sauce, lots of cheese, and pepperoni. We asked specifically for extra cheese and to make the pie extra crispy. We arrived to pick up the pie a few minutes later and brought it next door to Holy Mountain. The GMA pie was a joke. It had barely any cheese - some slices had no cheese at all - and was limp and not good and crispy (like how their pies normally are). Had very little red sauce, which tasted different from their norm, and maybe 1 piece of the confit garlic if any at all. My partner Hillary legitimately thinks it was a frozen pizza that they used because of the stark contrast in quality from what we normally receive. Either way, we would've rather opted for Pizza Hut where we could've paid $5 and got what we want, rather than $30 to deal with a sassy cashier man and a poor quality pie. Word to wise, don't sacrifice your established brand by selling a product of poor quality. We will come back but we will make sure that they have the normal pies available and over fixed before visiting again. Review based solely on normal regular pie would be 5/5, but the grandma GMA style pie would be a 2.5/5 read more

We were tired and weary travelers, it was raining and we were on foot. Dantini's was very close to our stay, so off we went. It is placed in the bottom level of a parking garage, sharing a space with a distillery. Warm wood, industrial, with warm lighting and plenty of large wooden tables. We placed our order to the right (the pizza business) and then placed our drink order to the left with the very talented bartender at the distillery. (Old Log Cabin Distillery) We were a party of 5, and we ordered two hand-tossed pizzas (one pepperoni, one sausage with onions and mushrooms) and a kale salad to share, along with breadsticks. The manager of Dantini's was helpful and friendly and he explained the menu well. The kale salad with Green Goddess dressing was superb and the breadsticks were simply sliced sourdough with melted mozzarella cheese with a side of homemade marinara. So so good! The pizzas were thin but ample and the toppings were fresh and delicious. It was a bit pricey ($94 without drinks) but good. We had leftovers to take with us and we were hungry! The menu was a bit limited but we were completely satisfied. Recommend and if we're back in the area, we'll stop in again! read more

This place is great. I number of people told me to check it out, so it's my second in line to a Capitol Hill pizza spot. The pizza has a ton of flavor and it speaks to the fresh, quality ingredients they choose. Very odd place to find as it's tucked next to a brewery, but the better reference is it's in the same building as the fencing place. You can't go wrong getting a pie from here. read more

Dantini is, or maybe was, my favorite pizza, but the last two pies I got from them were overcooked, especially the last one. I love that they get some char on the crust, so when I say it was overcooked I'm not talking about that. This was simply burnt and there's no way whoever put it in the box didn't notice. I could actually handle it if it was just the crust, but it was overcooked enough that the cheese and sauce were all dried out making it a tired, tough, old pizza. Better to make me wait another 10-15 minutes for a good pizza, than to put something like that in the box. I give restaurants 3 strikes before I write them off, hopefully the next pizza I get from Dantini isn't the last because when it's good, it's very good. read more

I feel like all pandemic long dantini Pizza has been a white whale of mine. But on Super Bowl weekend I made my dreams come true, and not only that but the secret Pizza of the week combined the two pies that I had hoped for into one. Ricotta cream pizza, with pepperoni and garlic confit. It was everything that I hoped for and more. Also do yourself a favor and get some of the smoked pepper flakes, they're delicious. The cookie I got was a bit over salted salt (and I love salty treats) but I'm not mad about it. My New Yorker boyfriend said it was the best NY style pie he's had in Seattle. I've really loved the other times I've gotten pizza here, but I just have to say that yesterday we picked up a grandma pie (they weren't making anything else because of an oven breakdown situation) and it was honest to god awful. Basically raw in the middle, little to no cheese, soggy crust. So incredibly disappointing. I was soo excited about this spot but left feeling a bit disappointed. I got the white pie and added a couple toppings. The crust is really thin and crispy so if you're into that you'll love it! I just think it was bordining on too crispy, almost cracker-like, missing a bit of chew that you'd expect from NY style pizza. The pepperoni was really good. My other gripe was with the mushrooms, which were about the size of my fingernail and tasteless. I'm sure this isn't the norm, but I wish they had just told me it was a bad mushroom day and to switch it for something else. We tried the pepperoni garlic confit, it was just ok. There should have been more garlic and pepperoni. The cheese was strong flavored and not melted, I think it was their sharp provolone instead of mozzarella that was on the description of the pie I ordered. SOOOOOOO GOOD. If you sat down at holy mountain wondering if you should get pizza next door instead of your plans to go out in Ballard.... DO IT. Just order the pizza. We especially loved the white pie with added on chorizo and olives. Not sure what it was but there was some sweet taste of cinnamon or nutmeg that really complimented everything and made it BOMBBBBB. Ok this was literally the best pizza ever. Being from NYC I avoid eating pizzas outside the city, and so I was a bit hesitant when my friend suggested Dantinis. We got the margarita with chili toppings and it was honestly one of the best meals EVER. The pizza had the perfect amount of softness and crisp and it tasted so good - perfectly melted cheese and overall was just so tasty. I can't wait to go here again!! Also the location is around another bar/ brewery, which makes the overall experience great. You can grab a pizza and a drink and sit there and chill. Where did this place come from and how did I only just try it? Their pepperoni pizza showed me that I actually need heaping amounts of garlic on my pizza. So good!
