They have classic slices available to-go and plenty of seating if you want a fresh pie with some unique fusion options that I can't speak to, but would love to try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will note their outdoor seating is explicitly off limits for to-go customers and it isn't too difficult to find parking at least on a weeknight within a block of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got two slices to-go and they were toasted in a few minutes so the crust is perfectly crunchy and the cheese revives to a nice gooey texture. Rocco's Pizza in Seattle made my birthday unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. The manager's complete lack of professionalism and courtesy was staggering. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon arrival after 9:00 pm on a Tuesday, we asked to set in one of the booth but they said no because of their strict policy for the booth the used x 3 or more people. Meanwhile, all 4 booth were empty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The kind waitress then offered to move us to the bar booth if something opened up, we kindly agreed and simple went on with our night at different table. While on the table my friend picked up 3 small little flowers from the base and said happy birthday to me, and I put the little flowers on my hair, then I told the waitress I hope you don't mind, my friend gave this little flowers from the table it is my birthday, to which the waitress replied happy birthday, I have no problem with that!. Then comes the manager, and tells me sarcastically, that is a cute flower but it is not yours to take, you should have asked permission anyways, I told him with a smile, but is my birthday and it a tiny flower may I keep it? He stated no, because other costumers will come in and there are no flowers in the table. I told him to replace it with another from another table and he said No give it back now please. It is not yours to take!!! Me, already feeling unwelcome and missed treated, yet still stayed but couldn't even finish my pizza because of how upset I was. I told my friend I wanted to leave. After closing the tab, I walked upfront and waited for my friend. Upon walking outside, the managers comes after us screaming "hey give me back the flower" you took it, at this point I was still walking ahead on my friend and I can hear the manager yelling "she stole it" give it back now, she is a thief, you come here to steal is that it? I repeatedly, told him I didn't take it and even open my purse and told him to come search it, but he stormed back in while insulting and yelling to me IN PUBLIC! - I was deeply humiliated in front of absolute strangers. I didn't see my friend taking the flower either, and if he did, he never gave it to me otherwise, I would have throw it at his face. The luck of hospitality, professionalism, and simply compassion and dignity from this person is Absolutely Unacceptable. I was treated with far more respect and the Four Seasons (and they did give me flowers), than this ridiculous place. It is a shame that the owner would allow someone like this to be the front of the business. And I feel deeply sorry for their employees to have to endure this person as I saw on their eyes the embarrassment they felt. I deserve nothing else but an apology for the way I was treated. I too work in hospitality, I know what is like to provide costumer service providing healthcare and never in my wildest days would I ever treat anyone with such disrespect and unprofessionalism. This was by far the most priciest ($60) mid pizza I've ever had. I give it a 7.1 at best. The online reviews and pictures gave it the illusion of a good pie. Not even close. The pizza was a floppy mess, terrible undercarriage, and very greasy. We ordered a full large pie split between a pepperoni and pepperoni-sausage. Overall flavor was lacking. The sausage was the consistency of chorizo and was ass. If anything a large pizza here is worth $17-20 at the most. Compared to Luigi's Pizza in Brooklyn NY which is some of the best pizza I've had, has their large pie at $22.75. Do not come here for the pizza. P.S. the meatballs and focaccia were good. read more

We stopped by here on the way back from Pike Place to our hotel by the Space Needle. Food was great and the service was also very good, but it's still a little hard to justify the price for a pizza place. Then again, I'm biased since my wife and I tend to pick fast casual places over fancy sit down experiences. It wasn't too bad so we'd probably get it on next time. We also split a half portion of the mushroom pizza, aptly named "Fun Guy". It was absolutely delicious, and their portion sizes are plenty big enough for my wife and I. Mushrooms were plentiful and the sauce went perfectly with the pie and shrooms. Like I mentioned, I still think the prices are a little high, but it's probably what you'll need to expect for downtown Seattle. I think the hype here is to order the 20 inch pizza, which you can split in half to taste two different types, and that's exactly what we did. We ordered half chicken con queso and half three little piggies. It came out fairly quickly, and it tasted good. The flavors were slightly off for us and a little too greasy. Overall, our service was good. It filled up quickly after we arrived (6:15pm on a Sunday), so I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. The ambiance inside is great - it's a bit on the darker side, which could make for a great date night, but it's not very romantic, if that makes sense. read more

Amazing creative pizzas from global recipes. My mom and I shared a Vegetarian Banh Mi Pizza which was expensive but well worth it. We even had slices to bring to the hotel for leftovers before our ferry to Victoria. My son and I saw the good reviews and thought we would try this place on a Friday evening after a long travel day. We were walk-ins but were seated at the bar immediately. The bartender let me sample a craft beer before I chose a full pour of a craft cider. My son enjoyed the bartender's choice of a whisky sour. I recommend reservations during peak times and only order a large slice if you don't want to take some home. I don't know why several people trashed this place in reviews. Overall rating is a 4/5 because it is really good and it has nice ambience. Food is good, it is on the pricier side but, what do you expect from a nice place in Downtown Seattle? Follow the pizza boxes. That's essentially what I did and it's how I ended up at Rocco's. I was feeling a bit peckish one evening and needed something light to eat. I didn't want a full blown meal, but decided that a piece of pizza would work. It felt a little more like I was going to a nightclub than getting a slice, as I had to wait outside the restaurant, then wait at a host stand, and then order. I appreciate that the slices were piping hot and heated to perfection. And yes - I did say slices. Because even though I wasn't super hungry and came in for one, I left with a regular slice and a pepperoni. (I did save 3/4 of one for later.) The slices are a good side, so you are getting your money worth -- even though it might be the most expensive slice I've ever eaten, ha. Worth a stop in if you're curious about the hype. This late-night joint has everything you'd ever want at a restaurant: large portions, whimsical drink menus, and a divey-bar kinda vibe. As a party of 4, we opted to split a 1/2 Stacey & Tina's Night Out and 1/2 Tator Truffle Shuffle for only $60! Is it a bit pricer than your average slice? Yes. But is it absolutely delicious and will fulfill your pizza craving? Also yes. Majority of the table liked the tator truffle a bit more. The potato and truffle ooey gooey-ness was such an indulgent, we felt very guilty after. The Stacey & Tina was good as well, but it didn't pack as much of a punch for us. My friends got drinks and they were fine. Service was adequate--didn't feel like we were neglected any time of the meal, but also wasn't the most attentive. Perhaps one of the closest resemblances to a New York Style slice! My SO, friend, and I craved some pizza. Being I'm from NYC region, the best pizza I had on the Northwest so far is down in Oregon. We heard of Rocco's and decided to give it a shot. One small complaint I had was the pricing, it's currently about 6.50 for a regular slice and 7.95 (don't quote me) for a pepperoni. I'm used to paying about 4-5 bucks for a regular slice back home (NYC ain't a cheap place either). I just don't think a regular slice should cost that much, but I digress. I understand it's somewhat more upscale so. I found it funny we were told that the slices were big to possibly share, but it was the same as a regular back home (not sure if that means I eat a lot lolol). The crust is perfect! No flop, nice crunch, they absolutely nailed it. The sauce is pretty good as well. My only big complaint is that it is incredibly cheesy, making the slice pretty greasy. Now I know that's just something you get with eating pizza (especially if there's meat on it), but it felt greasier than normal. Nonetheless, still enjoyable. Staff was friendly and attentive. Rocco's is solid east coast style pizza in downtown Seattle, but it's too much for my liking. Too much toppings and too expensive. $50 for a plain pizza with only cheese seems a bit pricey - $60 for something with toppings. The pizzas are 20" which is really nice in a world of 14" "larges", but I am not a big fan of the topping quantity. We had a half meat trio pizza and half cheese and there was enough meat on that 1 half of the pizza to make at least 2 whole pizzas. The flavor is good, though I'm not a big fan of the multiple different cheeses on the plain pizza. I'd prefer just a high quality mozzarella. The funkier asiago gives it a tang that I'm not looking for on my pizza. That and the overwhelming amount of meat on the other half were just too much for my liking.
