BEWARE of 20% service charge for parties over 2!! We were visiting Pike Place Market, we were STARVING, and in the mood for Italian food. We quickly dropped into this restaurant, ordered a VERY expensive pizza (46.00), a beer and a fountain drink. As I recall, our bill was just under $70.00, excluding a tip. When I looked at the receipt after ordering, I saw that we were charged a 20% service charge. So the pizza was "decent" but worth about 24.00 in reality, and the service charge was a complete surprise, although it is posted on the bottom (small print) of their menus, so, bottom line, our bad but I'm posting my review as a warning. Had we known about the service charge we would have chosen differently. I don't want to bash this place but...in reviewing our other restaurant receipts, we did not encounter this charge at any of our other stops while in Seattle. Giving the employees five stars. They were all very pleasant, but seemed stressed,

Can get real pricey pretty easily but the quality makes up for that. This restaurant is a staple in the area and definitely a must-try. The food is made fresh and warm! The service is super friendly!

The food was actually pretty good (spaghetti and meatballs), but the service was a little weird and rude. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs at the counter and were asked if we wanted to eat in (there was nobody sitting at any of the tables) or get it to-go. We said to-go, but then changed our minds and told the person at the cashier that we wanted to eat inside instead. Then she said "No, you cannot eat here. You said you wanted it to-go." ???

Incredible vibe equally is good food, but Husband and Wife do a working together and absolutely care about the people and the food quality of what's happening at this establishment. A must go to.

Basically a hole in the wall tourist trap in downtown Seattle at Pikes market. Food was basic. Definitely not worth the price. $120 bucks for two for lunch. Was shocked that they charged a 20% service fee to pay for overhead. Not like it's a fancy place. Only 2 people working. Don't waste your time.

Best find! Super friendly owner and staff. The wait wasn't long. You order first and then they assign you a table. We got a large pizza, half Pike Place Market and half Meat Lover. So delicious! The side salad was big enough to share. Highly recommend stopping here. FYI- They do not have slices for sale.

Great place with amazing food and I'm assuming an awesome owner! Very friendly! Engaging while you eat some awesome foods. I'm not from here from the Bay Area but count this place looking so good and smelled amazing so I had to go check it out! Plus the owner is a boss who clearly loves good music and good moral values! He loved my Beanie! Go here if you're in pikes place market.

Good Italian food. My husband liked the meatballs. My pesto penne was good. Nice quick meal.

Food was good. Meatballs were delicious. Pest penne was good. I had a glass of wine. It's a nice spot for a quick meal.

We stopped in yesterday on a whim there are so many places to chose from and we figured you can't go wrong w pasta and pizza. But a few things that I can say was they charge A 20'percent fee to eat your food there? I have never heard of that so of course opted to get it to go. The Girls paid average of $30 for a lunch. But they were served cold pasta dishes in very small To go portions and $8 for mini bread as a side Just super disappointed in the food, the quality portion and the fee

Amazing food tasted fresh and reminded me of italy!!x The space was kind of small and cramped and service was quick. The food really tasted amazing and would be back to eat here again. Carbonara was amazing, the pizza was soft and sauce tasted natural.

The place looks fine. The main restaurant area for ordering at the register and seating is fine. There is more outdoor seating which we didn't notice until we left. A cheese pizza was $40... ouch. It didn't look great to me, yet it tasted good. We ordered a meatball sandwich for $20. It looked pretty sad. Small. Not very hot. 1 pizza, 1 meatball sandwich, 3 sodas & 1 beer = $108 before tip. We tried to get meatball as a topping on our pizza and were told they couldn't do that. We ordered a soda for someone in our party, who wanted clam chowder from the place next door. When he joined us, the staff was militant about not having him eat in the restaurant with us despite there being literally no other customers in the restaurant at ~4:30 pm. It sounded like the owner had drilled this into the staff. It took quite a while to get the food despite being the only people in the place. The food sat on the counter for a couple minutes before it came out to us. In short, this was not a friendly, accommodating place with good service. I'm not one for writing reviews, but this place definitely needed a 2 star review.

Spaghetti and Sausage with Homemade Marinara Sauce Mozzarella Bread Side Meatball

Spaghetti was horrible! Cost almost $30 including meatballs. And also almost $30 for few slices of mozzarella bread. $7 for non refillable nasty lemonade. They didn't not tell us there is a 20% service charge for dining in without service. Felt I was robbed. Horrible experience!

This is a bargain at $10 for a clamshell of yummy goodness. Also for purchase is her famous lasagna in the cooler packed in ready to warm up servings and also her homemade sauce. The staff we interacted with was super nice and described the pasta options available. We also noticed Michela's two books she wrote on display at the counter. We ordered for pickup, and our food was ready in about 10 minutes, which was a nice bonus. Finding the restaurant was easy--it's tucked inside the Atrium building at Pike Place Market. Just walk south past the famous fish market, and you'll see the Atrium entrance. It's a bit of a hidden gem, but it's definitely worth seeking out. I'd definitely come back just for this pasta!

So nice! I brought home a savory spinach breakfast item with me, which my partner greatly appreciated. Hint: Make sure you have cash on hand for a tip! They can't include tips on card purchases.

The meatball sub was hearty and comforting, while the eggplant sub had a rich marinara sauce that worked well with the sandwich. We were especially disappointed that the Cubano was sold out, as it was one of the main reasons we stopped by. The only drawback was the price--at around $20 per sandwich, it felt a bit expensive for what you get, especially considering it was just a 6-inch sub, even though the quality was good. We visited during a FIFA World Cup match, so the line was quite long, but it moved steadily and efficiently. No complaints there. The atmosphere is casual and straightforward, with indoor seating only. Its downtown location near the stadiums makes it a convenient spot for a quick meal before or after an event. Even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy during our visit, our server was extremely quiet and difficult to hear, which made communication a bit challenging. One nice touch was the complimentary bread service, which came with a generous amount of butter. We started with the artichokes from the seasonal menu. I was expecting them to be served warm or roasted, but they arrived cold, which was admittedly a misunderstanding on my part. The accompanying sauce was excellent though and definitely saved the dish for me. We also ordered the tajarin al ragù, one of the restaurant's signature dishes. Unfortunately, this was where my expectations and experience diverged. The pasta felt under-seasoned to me, and the noodles seemed overcooked. Rather than the silky texture I was hoping for, I found myself eating what felt like clumps of dough. It was a dish I really wanted to love given its reputation, but it just didn't click for me. We weren't looking for a heavy dinner, so we only ordered a couple of items. It's entirely possible we came on an off night or simply didn't choose the restaurant's strongest dishes.
