Food was great, I kept it simple with a ham and cheese on a sourdough roll. Good fresh ingredients, very nice staff, and best of all no wait. I'll be back if im in the area.

If you want only the best sandwich ingredients , look no further . Pricing may be amiss for some , but the flavors and the care in which they are made is unmatched , we had Grilled Rueben on sour roll grilled and a pesto turkey panini . All were well worth every penny

My coworker and I came in on Tuesday for sandwiches as we were hit with a power outage and had no cell service hoping we could try to get a cold lunch somewhere. We stoped by this small, familt owned restaurant hoping to get some food! I love how efficient they were to accommodate us while their business had no power! It was cash only, and whatever cold ingredients they had but they moved the line along and got out sandwiches for our group in under 15 mins. They handled the situation so well!

Pastrami with Swiss, heated of course

I tried their pick up option online so I could order and pay without waiting. The app even tells when your order is ready. I decided to build my own sandwich and ordered a roast beef and turkey sandwich on Dutch crunch with everything. Picked it up to a friendly greeting and smiles from all of the staff. Took it home to eat and wow this was a huge sandwich and full of ingredients. Unfortunately I noticed quickly it was all turkey and no roast beef. They forgot my meat. I sure hope they get it right next time. I should say that even without my roast beef this was an incredible tasty sandwich. Every bite got better and better. I honestly can say I haven't had a deli sandwich as good as this in a very long time. Probably the best Dutch crunch roll ever and so soft with the perfect amount of crunch and sweetness on top. This sandwich was pure heaven and so big but I was hungry and wanted to go right back for another. Still one of the best sandwiches in the Bay Area and I'm so glad there finally in my hometown of Pleasanton. I'll be back soon and very often I guarantee! It's a must try if you're in the area or even if it's a bit of a drive. Tell em Scotty sent you.

I recommend calling into order at the deli or getting the app for the cafe and picking up. The parking is also pretty tight so if you can grab and go that is the best way to enjoy the meal. They also have catering, which is a solid option for your events! If you order in ahead of time do not wait, walk up and ring the bell.

It is definitely on the pricier side, which is really the only thing that held it back for me. I don't think I'd drive across town just to come here, but if you're already in the plaza and need something quick and satisfying, it's a solid choice.

Welp Yelp, my familiarity with Genova's is based upon my long and well-established history with the…read moreG-Supernova in my hometown (Oakland), which makes me a little snobby in the sammich realm. Don't get me wrong, the Genova's in the big (little) Dub Cee does what it can to keep up and turns out some pretty decent sandwiches. It has all the trademark imported knickknacks (biscotti, multicolored taffy in well-worn bins, boxed panettone, etc.) as well as traditional staples like wine, fresh pasta and the famed Genova's brand boxed frozen ravioli for you to take home and spoil your family with in a variety of flavors like artichoke, mushroom and even pumpkin. But it lacks soul. It lacks spirit. It doesn't have any of the flavor that the Genova's in Oakland had and each sandwich churned out is indicative of that. It's just not that good. And for a sandwich you have to wait a mighty long time for, it better be good. Real good. So, I've come to terms with the fact that I don't have a Genova's left to go to and that's okay. Sometimes it's better to have loved and lost (a sandwich) than never to have loved at all.

High class prices and foods.....low class customer service!…read moreI drove 50 miles roundtrip from Oakland to their store in Danville on Saturday afternoon to purchase premium sandwiches for a party we were having. At 3PM I attempted to order 6 sandwiches from the deli department....the guy working there said he was out of rolls! What? Out of rolls at only 3PM? How can ANY huge supermarket run out of rolls? So, I went over to their bread department and found some rolls. He then told me he can not use rolls from their own bread dept to make sandwiches. I made it clear to him I was willing to pay extra for the rolls but he said he couldn't do it. So I went and got the store manager on duty, a nice fellow named John. John was very apologetic about having run out of rolls and he also agreed that his staff should have made my sandwiches with bread from the bread department, given they prematurely ran out of rolls. He went over and spoke to the woman behind the deli counter. She told the Manager that they never said they wouldn't make the sandwiches from alternative bread, it was just that I did not say I would be paying extra for that bread! That was not the truth. When I said to her directly you are not speaking truth to your manager and I said do not put words into my mouth, she insisted I never told the guy back there I'd pay extra for the bread! Who needs such confrontations and frustrations over sandwiches after driving 25 miles each way to buy some? I walked out. We will never be shopping at Lunardi's market again. They sure know how to apply excessive high prices to their goods while at the same time not providing any exceptional customer service! That store has some major issues with their staff and attitude problems. This is the fault of upper management not instructing their underlings what a "premium store experience" should feel like. I certainly could have gotten a more customer friendly, positive experiences from any local Dollar Store, compared to the circus I received at Lunardi's Saturday!

I was hooked. Today - Wednesday, March 26, is when local Jersey Mike's owners and operators are celebrating "Day of Giving" where they will donate every single dollar that comes in to local charities. And, during the month of March, customers will have the option to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or donate $1, $3, or $5 when placing their order. Charities include hospitals, youth organizations, food banks and more. This Walnut Creek Jersey Mike's is supporting the Special Olympics Northern California. Now to the good part. I ordered a Mike's Famous Philly Grilled onions, peppers & white American cheese and a BLT Bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Now I haven't been to Geno's Steaks or Pat's King of Steaks in Philadelphia, but I have to believe both establishments would be proud of the Jersey Mike's Philly. Perfectly cooked - tender steak with browned sweet onions, sweet peppers and really gooey cheese. I was in heaven. The BLT is a typical sandwich but good. It's my favorite so far. Fresh lettuce, ripe tomato's and bacon ---- ooohhh the bacon Like Danny DeVito says "Jersey Mike's is my happy place!" And a shout out to one of the hardest working restaurant staff I've seen in a long time. If you are near downtown Walnut Creek.
