Although I have lived in the area for over 25 years, I finally got around to trying Melo's pizza. I happened to see a TooGoodToGo deal for Melo's so we gave it a try. The pizza was good, crust is a little thicker, produce was fresh and adequate cheese and sauce. We like Danville Wood Fired Pizza, Amici's and Ascona's Pizza do Melo's is a bit different. We haven't tried the pasta dishes but I heard they make a good spaghetti and meatballs so we will be back to try the other dishes. Menu is on-line. read more

It's been a year since I've been back in this area, and I was craving pizza. I stopped in after 8:30, less than half an hour before closing. I thought they were going to tell me the kitchen was closed. Instead, they welcomed me in and seated me. I ordered a beer and a Melo's Combination, which came out in about 10 minutes. Pizza was delicious. Freshly made, hot, and the flavors were on point. They didn't rush me at all either. I was next to last out of the restaurant and they were very respectful and welcoming even after closing hours. Great experience! read more

First time here, and it has a nice feel to it, although apparently one of several locations - does not give off that "chain" feel at all! The patio outside is very inviting, but we opted for indoors - although next to a window! Second best to the patio view . . . The wait staff is very friendly and efficient (Thank you, Kendall S.!), and the menu offers a nice selection of appetizers, lunch items, and, of course, dessert! We finally decided on a Fuji Apple salad (Romaine and baby green lettuces, crisp Fuji apples, candied pecans, Point Reyes blue cheese, champagne vinaigrette), Gnocchi Del La Casa (with a creamy pesto sauce), and Porcini Mushroom Ravioli (In a creamy marsala wine sauce with sautéed mushrooms). For dessert, we tried the butterscotch homemade pudding, a tiramisu cake, and a cake I can't recall (lost the itemized receipt, too - a Yelper's nightmare!! ) All the food came hot, and the pastas were soooooo good. Two of us had a taste of each pasta; tried to save some for the "owner" as well! The mushroom one would be my favorite, but the pesto gnocchi was markedly better than the others I have had, so that's a close second for the future. The salad was delightful, fresh and tasty, with textures and subtle flavors all coming together in each bite. The butterscotch pudding was amazingly rich and flavorful. And the tiramisu cake was light and flavorful as well. Overall, a fantastic lunch. Great to have found this place, and will look forward to a reason to return. read more

Came here for dinner on a Thursday afternoon. It was nice and clean inside. We were seated quickly at a table. It looked pretty busy inside. Our server got our drinks and order quickly. We ordered the calamari, burrata bruschetta and a small New Yorker pizza with a thin crust. Calamari was crispy and pretty good. The marinara sauce was too thin and watery though. Burrata bruschetta was so good. Very light and refreshing. The burrata was so soft and creamy. The pizza was really good also! Cheese was yummy and a decent 12 inch size! We waited a while to get some peppers and Parmesan cheese because the server got kind of busy. But overall not bad and would come back! read more

Love this place! I've been coming here for years and it hits the spot every time! Everything from there main dishes to the pizza is the best! The chicken parm is amazing! 2 pieces of breaded golden fried chicken with sauce and cheese piled high next to penne vodka pasta with a few spears of asparagus! This is literally my go to whenever I come here. It's a lot of really good food that'll fill you up! I also always get a pepperoni pizza on white sauce. The garlic white sauce is the best I've ever had at a pizza place! The crust is always doughy and airy with a nice crisp to it and the cup pepperonis curl up and add a nice subtle crisp as well! I always recommend Melos when ever someone asks for a good Italian place to either get a great dinner or an amazing pizza! read more

This is our go to pizza family night. The vibes are casual but classy. Staff is always so helpful and attentive. We haven't tried anything we haven't liked- calamari, mozzarella sticks, PIZZA (shout out to the veggie), chicken parm, lasagna, gnocchi. We have loved it all. Oh Cesar is delicious too. If you have small kiddies ask for plain dough- they bring a small piece of pizza dough for them to fiddle with. Love love Melos read more

We moved to pleasanton about a year ago, and had trouble finding our go to local pizza spot - and then we realized, why not drive 5 more minutes for melos! They have good pizza, pasta, and everyhting is quality American-Italin food, we love their pizza and mushroom raviolis! Yummy! Tonight I wanted something easy for the family so I grabbed a couple of pizzas. They were delicious! They were thin yet hearty. Service was fast and kind when I came in. The resturant was very clean and organized. I always like when you can see into restaurants kitchens. That's how you know it's clean! While the host wasn't overly friendly the efficiency of getting a table was appreciated. Our server, Summer, was attentive, helpful, and made sure our dining experience was excellent. ​The kitchen was also impressively fast. We started with the Zuppa Clam Mussel appetizer, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. For our entrees, we enjoyed the classic spaghetti and the linguine with clams. Both were absolutely delicious. The meal was capped off with the Lemon Creamsicle dessert, a bright and satisfying end to the meal. ​My only real complaint was the cleanliness of our table which felt sticky, and there were several flies buzzing around our table throughout the entire meal and distracted us. I am not at all happy with the service I received. I ordered a $36 lasagna and all I received was scraps. Whether you dine in or takeout, the service should be the same for you to actually send this out for someone to eat is unacceptable. We though the pasta portion looked small at first but it ended up being perfect, loved the cheese on top too. Very nice and spacious venue to enjoy some Italian cuisine. I also appreciated the extended outdoor dining, however today was too hot. As we walked in, we were greeted and were instructed to sit where we wanted. The service was really friendly and the food was delicious! We opted for all individual pies, I ordered the Melos combo which came with a hefty portion of meat! My only gripe was the crust was super soggy, I'm thinking it was a bit undercooked. We literally ate at Melo's for the past 3 weeks! From take out to dine in, it's a kid friendly and family friendly establishment. The kids pasta is actually a great deal. Feels like this would be a great place for groups. I really like Italian style/NY style pizza (as in I do not enjoy chicago deep dish) and I feel like Melo's hits the spot for being so close. read more

This is the 3rd time I have ordered from Melos thru door dash and the 3rd time they have forgotten the bread I ordered. I called to ask them to deliver me the bread as I have company over and spoke with Gabby. She would not deliver the bread and said she would credit the bread amount, but that is not the point, I wanted the bread with the specific meal. She asked what she could do, so I said deliver the bread, but she would not do that so I said give me credit for a free meal and she got indignant and thought missing bread for my guests dinner was not a fair exchange, I told her she was losing a customer and she did not seem to think that mattered.. very bad service 3 times , will not order from here again read more

Melo's has been a favorite for years. We went to the San Ramon Marketplace until it closed down. At that time, the closest one was a couple of towns away. Recently I re-found Melo's Danville on Yelp and went back. Melo's is as good as we remember. Today we went for a late lunch. The server nicely split our Mediterranean salad. The artisan salsiccia fennel sausage pizza with added mushrooms and cold tomatoes after cooking was excellently prepared. The thin crust was nicely prepared and had some nice brown around the edges making it reminiscent of a wood fired pizza oven. The restaurants has a nice layout and can handle various size parties. We recommend you give Melos a try. We will be back. They have a large menu to satisfy many desires. read more

This was probably one of the worse choices I've made in a long time. I decided to eat in the restaurant today as a treat to myself and I feel like I was just forgotten about. My waitress changed for some reason. Maybe that's why I forgotten about. I don't know but finally one of the waitresses saw that my pizza was sitting up there waiting to be brought to my table I guess because she walked over to me and said, "is this yours, I'm so sorry.." I guess they don't communicate with each other if someone leaves and has a table needing to be served their food still. The food was decent. The raviolis were mushroom in a creamy Marsala. It had a good flavor. The pizza was pretty good too. It was cold by the time I got it. If I come back I definitely would just get a to go order of maybe the pizza. I just don't have a desire to come back to a place that treated me like they could care less to see that I had a good experience. Anyways hopefully other customers have had a better experience. We love Melo's! It's the best pizza in Danville (out of the 20 pizza places). Always consistently great food. Service is either excellent or bad, no in between. More often, it's great. My only recommendation to Melo's is to change the sizing of the salads. The large salad is the most miniature salad we've ever seen at a restaurant, and at $18, it's laughable.
