Okay Vegan options. I'm sure that there isn't that many Vegans living in the WM but they only had one decent vegan option. Aside from that its great for vegetarians . I ended up getting the sweet potato skillet & made it vegan with taking out the eggs & meat. Was good but wish they would have added more veggies in it since I took out most of the toppings in it. If you go on a weekend you will have a wait time. I went on a Saturday morning and had about a 30 minute wait time since they were super busy and we had a big group. Would have been faster if we were in a smaller group. There is lots of parking outside. Inside was very cute with lots of character to it. Staff was very nice and was very attentive even though she was very busy. Very spacious inside so they can accommodate big groups. read more

This was my third stop at Darci's. It's a pretty standard American breakfast/brunch spot with a rustic charm but the reasonable prices, big portions, and consistency make it a favorite. This time we got the bear cake--chocolate chip kid's pancake--and the farmer's Benedict. The pancake was a very big and sticky hit. I didn't love the Benedict. It sounded good in concept, but replacing the English muffins with portobellos didn't quite work. The mushrooms were cooked with balsamic that gave the dish a sweetness that clashed with the hollandaise. Without the bread, there was just way too much liquid from the vegetables and nothing to soak it up. I'd love to see this with sliced baby bellas and English muffins. That said, everything was prepared perfectly. The asparagus was great. The eggs were just right. I picked at it well after I was full. I ordered the Florence Benedict on a previous visit and preferred it. The service was good as always. Parking here can be a pain on the weekends, especially in summer. Earlier and weekdays are better for avoiding the crowds. Also, Darbi has some serious hustle. It's great to see a business owner doing the work and setting a great example for employees. read more

Our server was friendly and quick to take our order. The cinnamon roll is probably the largest I've ever seen. It definitely can be split between two people. This is a very popular breakfast place in Pinetop. If you don't go early you may end up waiting a while. But the food is worth the wait. They have a broad range of breakfast choices, including some great eggs Benedict options, which I love having for breakfast. I ended up just having regular eggs Benedict and while it was delicious the eggs were a bit over cooked...part of it was runny but not all. Also the hash browns were not as fried as I typically like. This is a Pinetop GEM! We stopped here on our way back to Phoenix from Greer and had the most delicious lunch. The photos say it all! They have an extremely large menu, salad bar, homemade sweets, bottled craft beers, and more. You feel like you're in a log cabin with cozy rooms, homey decor, fires going, and more. It is the best, especially in the winter! I ordered their grilled chicken, avocado, bacon, and Swiss sandwich on a croissant and it was incredible. The chicken breast was HUGE (marinated and grilled to perfection), with loads of avocado and all around great flavor. I also loved that they offer different options for fries. I got their regular fries but my husband's curly fries were pretty dreamy too. As we were paying at the front, I saw that they had a variety of homemade bars and so I couldn't pass one up! I really liked Darbi's, and their salsa is AMAZING. I'm not sure if they make it in house or what, but whatever they're using is stellar. Even if you ordered something that wouldn't naturally come with salsa (like a skillet or an omelette or whatever), you should ask for a side of their salsa. It was EXCELLENT. Service was equally amazing. Atmosphere was lovely, especially at Christmas time. Only reason I'm dinging a star is that our first waitress was really slow. We sat for about 10-15 minutes without getting any attention. It was a somewhat busy Saturday morning (think 15-20min wait to be seated) so I know staff was probably busy as hell, but what really ticked me off was that when our server finally got to our table, she didn't ask us if we were ready to order or anything--she just took our drink order and left. And then we had to wait another 10 minutes for our new server (lovely woman with blonde hair--perhaps Darbi herself based on photos I saw in the waiting area?) to come and take our order, which she did perfectly and promptly. Excellent breakfast place if you're in the Show Low/Pinetop area, and again, amazing salsa and a really lovely breakfast burrito and skillet. read more

We have eaten here twice now. Both times were great. They were able to do a dairy free skillet for our oldest, who has a severe dairy allergy. We ordered the meat lovers omelette and added veggies and also tried the eggs Benedict. The cinnamon roll is incredible and enough for 6-8 people to share. The service was so friendly and quick. The food at Darbi's was an A! The Arizona Roast Beef Melt and the Strawberry Salad were outstanding. But the sign on the door says masks are required by law until you are seated. A group of four refused, making the 20 or so of us waiting to be seated uncomfortable. The hostess asked them to out in a mask, and they replied that the election would put an end to all the mask nonsense. Instead of telling them to leave, she seated them! Sorry, but every credible medical authority says to wear masks. It's the law. And it's simply common sense. Shame on Darbi's for not having the guts to protect its customers. read more

Stopped here on my way home from visiting Pinetop. Amazing, great staff, it was nice to see a restaurant working so well and organized. I had the pancakes, sausage links, egg whites, hash browns & a side of avocado. Everything was good but I probably would not get the egg whites again because they were drenched in butter. But no complaints with anything else. They have pie to sell by the slice as well! I tried the Banana Cream Pie - I think next time I will try the chocolate. First day we came was so packed so we decided to come earlier the next day, Saturday. We got there at 8am and sat down right away. The place is adorable, twinkling lights, a big fireplace and an outdoor patio. Like most places in the white mountains, everyone was friendly and welcoming. I decided to venture and try the chilaquiles. I loved that they had the option of red or green sauce and happy they used queso fresco. Downside was that it lacked flavor and didn't have enough tortilla chips. There were more beans than the main dish. My husbands though food was good. This restaurant runs like a well oiled machine. They have a person that takes drink orders, and then a separate wait staff who takes your food order and delivers it. You pay in your way out at the hostess stand. Their business model is quick and efficient!. The food is delicious as well. I believe they serve breakfast and lunch any time during opening hours. You will likely almost always have to wait to get in, but let me tell you, it is worth the wait. I promise! The wait time they tell you at check in is usually pretty close and often sooner. The portions are pretty large as well. And take a look at the pies and deserts in the case on the way it and save some room. read more
