Great people running the restaurant, easy going friendly , and helpful. The food was amazing, I really loved the cornbread in the eggs Benedict. My husband really liked the walnut pancakes they are truly homemade dishes. Their green salsa is sooo good highly recommend it. We went on a Saturday morning no wait for us around 7:40am and the food didn't take to long to come out. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because it seemed like their "inside" was more full so it was helpful that I preferred their "patio" (closed and heated), the host sat me exactly in a spot I would've loved right next to the window with nice views but then she came to ask if we could move over to the other side of the room next to the wall. She said they're having a big hiking group that they were wanting to accommodate... I was respectful and moved but would've preferred not to have even been asked to move after already been seated. First time here for dinner. If you are in the area this place is a must. Have had breakfast many times but never dinner. Craving a fish fry and they have a Friday special that includes cod, shrimp, choice of side (fries, curly fries, coleslaw) also a salad or soup. Fish was well cooked not greasy and shrimp were outstanding. First time having shrimp with a fish fry. Cocktail sauce is the best I've had. We also shared the fried pickles which were perfectly crispy and batter was great. My son had the spaghetti and he is a picky eater. He crushed the kids spaghetti. Loved it. Came to pine top to enjoy the snow and just relax. I ate breakfast at this place and found the waiting staff to be nice and provide good service. I ordered the two egg breakfast that comes with a choice of gravy and biscuits, toast, or pancakes. Breakfast came quickly with 4 slices of bacon cooked to perfection (crispy) and the pancakes were delicious. The meal was about $14 with coffee. Stop in this place is a good eat. read more

You may need to wait a few minutes as they serve the crowd of absolute fans of this great place, but don't worry, its well worth the wait. OMG!! Just what the doctor ordered!!! So excited that we tried this place! I happened to read about it in an article I stumbled on for "10 Must Try Places in Arizona" the very night before and it just so happened to be where we were! It was super busy with the locals on Sunday morning, but we got right in and sat up at the counter, which was no trouble at all because we were hungry and on our way out of town and just needed some good food before the drive back. Boy, did we get good food!! I had the Farmers Benedict and my boyfriend had the Tombstone skillet. Both were to die for! Staff was running around like crazy trying to please their customers and they were super friendly while doing it. They were working so hard and it definitely showed! I was recently in the White Mountains and looking for a good breakfast place. I looked at Darbi's menu online and had to go there. I had a Denver omelette that was quite tasty but my favorite thing of all was the biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was a meal in itself and it was melt in your mouth tender and perfectly browned. The texture and the taste were amazing! The portion size of the entire meal was quite generous and the leftovers tasted just as good for dinner as they did for breakfast. The service was good also. They were fairly busy but my food came out in a timely manner, served with a smile. My only complaint would be that they are only open until 2:30, and only serve breakfast until 12:00. I would definitely eat that breakfast at 2:30. Overall it was an amazing meal and I will be eating there next time I'm in the White Mountains. read more

Very good breakfast. Large crowds on weekends and busy vacation weeks. In our case it was spring break. However, this restaurant is large and capable of handling the crowds. If you have not been here it is a MUST! The best breakfast in town and I came here every single time we are up in the mountains. Ever single thing we have had on this menu is amazing. We have had the omelets, skillets, breakfast burritos, crepes, pancakes and everything was amazing. The wait is usually 30 minutes plus on the weekends so prepare for that. There is also not a ton of parking you might have to drive around a few times. We sometimes do take out which is just as good as well so we don't have to wait. If you are coming through this area you have to stop at Darbi's! Their menu offers a wide variety of items and every single thing tastes phenomenal! They offer a coloring page and crayons to kids and have a breakfast, lunch and kids menu items. Their fries are some of the best I've ever had and customer service is always amazing! Our table got the Carmel Apple french toast (that was AMAZING!! we all at the one till the plate was clean). Country scramble. (Gravy was delicious and creamy. Biscuits were perfect, not dry) #1 omelet (sausage was amazing and eggs were cooked perfectly). Poached eggs, biscuit and gravy deal. (Honestly I am blown away by how perfect they cook their eggs.
