French Onion Soup with pretzel stick toasts
Neva G.

Visited again, and tried the French Onion Soup. It was as good as I've ever had, with deeply flavored broth, and chewy cheese. It's served with two toasted pretzel sticks. I'm impressed with the chef's presentation. For a neighborhood pub, they truly do it nice.

Nice little spot in the tech district. I had the fish n chips (delicious) and their bread pudding desert (massive and amazing!). Bar tendress was very friendly and attentive, chill little pub with a nice outdoor seating area and a half decent happy hour no terribly corporate vibe! Also great HH special on Dales! 4 bucks!

We came in the day before Saint Patrick's day and this was everything we could've wanted and more to celebrate the holiday. The place was very cute with great Irish themed ambiance and a lot of Saint Patrick's decorations. I loved the Dubliner's Sandwich, I couldn't put it down once I took the first bite. The bangers and mash were very good too. Our waitress as also very fast and friendly. This might be a new annual tradition for us!

Shrimp Fettucine

This restaurant is weirdly incognito. They don't have a website. No menu posted online. I came here for a Meetup event that was held in their private conference room. Definitely felt extra secretive! LOVED the Shrimp Fettucine I ordered, though the bread it came with tasted a little stale. I'm appreciative of the hard-working wait staff that kept busting through the hard-to-open conference room doors to make sure we were fed and hydrated. Wouldn't drive all the way over here to come back again but enjoyed my experience when I had the opportunity!

Fish and chips

The service here was fast and friendly and the food was hot, fresh and tasty. My fish and chips was deliciously prepared and the coleslaw was fresh, cool and creamy. The dinning room was clean and presentable, but the parking lot can be a little tight for larger sized vehicles. Good experience all around.

Darcy's Breakfast Burrito

Made it for brunch, and not bad. Menu was a little weak but had all the staples you need for brunch! Had the breakfast burrito and mimosa and 7/10. Mimosa was a great pour! Kailua chocolate cake was fantastic 10/10! This might become my new neighborhood hang out!

Great place to eat and grab a drink. I'm In town for work for a few weeks and I've been here twice. All the food is great. The service is top notch. I think the waitresses name is Nicole. She was very knowledgeable and made a great recommendation. I will come back!

Incredible homemade bread pudding with whipped cream & whiskey!

First of all, enough already with the Fish & Chips reviews for Darcy's! Yes, they make great Fish & Chips. BUT, look at the name on the sign -- Darcy's is a "Bistro", and WOW, they have some amazingly creative "non-Irish" food items on the menu that really sets this kitchen apart as a genuine gourmet treat for your taste buds. I've been here at least 10 times in the past 4 years, and Darcy's consistently gives you Great Service, Great Food and Great Ambiance vibe! Check out my photos. On recent stops, I had an incredible Bison Shortribs, slow cooked to perfection in a red wine reduction, it fell off the bone and was mouthwatering to the last bite! Served with terrific grilled Brussels Sprouts and creamy Mashed Potatoes, the entire plate was good to the last crumb! On another night, we had the delicious Tilapia Filet, drizzled in lemon butter, served with tender steamed broccoli on a bed of diced potatoes--YUMMY beyond belief! And for dessert, you have to get Darcy's absolutely scrumptious Bread Pudding with Irish Whiskey and whipped cream. OMG!!! So, now, do you believe me? Forget the Fish & Chips -- Darcy's serves 5-star Bistro fare that is fare more creative and delicious than an Irish pub. Darcy's rocks!!!

For an establishment that markets itself as an Irish pub, there are three things that should be…read morenon-negotiable: a proper Guinness pour, Irish Coffee, and authentic Irish food. Unfortunately, Slattery's misses the mark on all three. The Guinness is consistently disappointing. Anyone familiar with Irish pubs knows that Guinness requires proper technique and patience to pour correctly. The results here are often subpar, which is surprising for a place that prominently advertises its Irish roots. The menu leans heavily toward generic sports bar fare rather than traditional Irish cuisine. The overall experience is also inconsistent. Service can be good one visit and disappointing the next. Food quality varies from visit to visit, and the restaurant often feels loud, crowded, and not particularly well maintained. My most recent visit was especially frustrating. I took a client out for dinner, and the patio tables were dirty when we arrived. Between four beers, one appetizer, and two burgers with fries, the bill exceeded $130 after tax and tip. That price might make sense for a high-end restaurant, BUT NOT AN IRISH PUB. It does not make sense for average bar food. Nothing about the meal justified the cost. Add-on charges for sauces, and even credit card usage only make the value proposition worse. The biggest issue is value. This is supposed to be a neighborhood Irish pub, not a Michelin-starred restaurant. Dining out has become expensive everywhere, but charging premium prices requires premium food, premium service, and premium execution. Slattery's consistently falls short in those areas. If you're looking for authentic Irish food, a properly poured Guinness, or a reasonably priced pub experience, there are better options in the Denver area. Save your hard-earned money.

The service was very friendly and welcoming - I chatted with both the bartender and the server on duty and they were very nice. They gave me the low-down on trivia nights and sports games that play on the weekends. There is a really nice patio as well. The food was pretty decent. I had eggs benedict which was ok, and a bloody mary that really hit the spot. It had just the right spice and the bartender asked me how spicy I wanted it - it was perfect! Overall, I'll head back again. I looked at the steak salad which looked pretty good. And the staff was super friendly and nice.

So I don't want the review to seem dated, but I think it's current enough based on our experience across those three visits. It's a great place, a great sports bar atmosphere, great food, a nice bar with great offerings of beer, wine and liquor. However, our experience on all three visits has been while the initial service is great, getting seated, getting your food served, but once that happens, then the staff seems to forget about you. It may be a staffing issue. But on our last visit for Father's Day, it appears the chef was running food to the tables as well, so we understand staffing can be difficult. That is really the only complaint we have. It's close to family, has gluten-free offerings so somewhat of a favorite so we'll continue to visit but the service drop off after your meal is served is our only complaint.
