We would go here every saturday night for geeks who drink trivia with quizmaster johnny. They no longer do trivia there so we no longer go there. Their food selection process was quite odd and since we went there for about 3 years we saw items come and go. Some made sense others even the staff wondered why they got rid of it. Some of the tops- open faced avocado chicken ranch melt pub chips ( think potato chips) freshly fried served with ketchup adult mac and cheese cheesecake any burger or chicken burger french dip pub wedge (think this one is a gone now) wings mimosas most items we have to say have 1 ingredient that they are trying to be cutey, or more irish and it makes the whole dish sound off. read more

This place has an extremely active trivia night on Saturdays. There were at least 30 teams and lucky for user came out 20th the week we came. If your party is more than 6 people, you'll need to split up. But there are plenty of teams of two, so no worries! People here are friendly. There are 8 rounds and and lightning question when you run up to turn in your paper. Send a quick thinker. Luckily, it's happy hour by the time your halfway through trivia night. They serve beer, and assortment of cocktails, and wine. I was happy to find the merlot. The appetizers work well with the cocktails and the serves are knowledgable and polite. If it's winter, avoid a table by the door. It can get a bit chilly. read more

Service is really lacking, and our waitress was missing most of the time. They added a tip to the bill after the check was incorrectly split so one was not added to one of the checks. Needless to say I would check your statements and make sure your bill from there is correct. read more

3.5 stars... no more, no less. I like their happy hour specials and appetizers. They are open until 1AM which is great. Darcy's is not one of those loud pubs that you may be used to in Denver. I like how it is sort of away from the night scene that is LoDO. The location is nice and parking is free. It is probably one of the best places around to actually have a conversation and be able to hear each other. Service was Meh, but I was happy regardless. They have a reasonable beer selection, but don't expect something like Yardhouse. Yardhouse is still the best place around. But Darcy's is an independent owned pub... so that is a plus too. read more

Someday we'll be able to do half stars and Darcy's will get a solid 3 1/2 from me. Went here for dinner tonight and had a burger and beer, everything was cooked just fine and my clam chowder was very hearty (much better than the "essence of clam" chowder you get at some places). The half star was earned by the man behind the bar, who I think was either the owner or one of the higher ups. He was incredibly friendly and knew his way around the regulars. So why not the bump to 4 stars? Well...because it was just food. Nothing amazing. I had the black and bleu burger and it was just a burger. It didn't pop in my mouth with a kick of pepper or seasoning or something to fulfill the "black" part of the name. Also, this was the fourth choice for dinner because all the other places I'd swung by had closed between 7 and 8 due to it being Sunday. So they won my business by default. So, the moral of this story is: if you need food and everything else is closed, they have food. If you're in the area and you want food, they have it, and it will be perfectly serviceable. But there's a reason I'm writing this review on the same night I dined there: because by tomorrow I will have likely forgotten all about it. read more

Located in a business park/hotel neighborhood this restaurant seemed to cater to transient patrons. No one seemed local to me. The decor was rather cold and bland. The menu was of similar design. Not much originality to the menu or to the food. It tasted like airport food. I cannot imagine a local clientele making this a return destination of choice. LOVE Darcy's! This is by far my favorite spot for happy hour, and yet I hardly ever make it in time because it ends at 7 (I think?) and the happy hour food ends at 6. The atmosphere is great, even when it's crowded it doesn't really feel like you're in a crowded bar. The bartenders are always great - they try to learn your name and your drink on your first visit. The food I've tried has all been tasty. I love the trivia on Saturdays, but I wish they'd have it on another day as well. The TVs are kind of small and hard to see, but I think they are not going for a "sports bar" atmosphere. read more

Hours are very inconsistent. Especially with their kitchen. It's tough to get ahot meal on this side of town. So when you show up and the kitchen or establishment is closed, it's aggravating when the hours online lie. read more

A wonderful Irish pub. I've been several times and the only reason it gets a 4 star is lately they've hired new line cooks that don't seem to taste the food as they make it so some of the food has been very salty. I'm sure they'll get that figured out though, and I'll update my review then. Otherwise, it's a great atmosphere, I've never been when it's been packed, usually I go on weekends as I live out of town. Anything on their favorites list is phenomenal. The only thing that didn't blow me away was the Shepherds Pie, but it was tasty and filling. Their Fish and Chips and Steak Boxty are especially wonderful. At the time of writing, the Bangers and Mash are simply too salty to recommend, which is unfortunate because they're usually amazing as well. If you go on weekends their Prime Rib is probably the best I've ever had. There's also a good brunch menu on weekends, but I usually end up getting from the main menu anyway. Someone else posted that the staff and service was good to great but the food was lacking - I agree 100%! If they have a certified chef (I imagine it's a simple fry cook or diner cook)they should be let go, it's that bad. The homemade blue cheese is runnier than wishbone brand blue cheese dressing with chunks of blue cheese thrown in, and then add terribly chosen buffalo wings with greasy skin that tears off when you bite into it, it's not crisp or fried - no flavor whatsoever.. As an Irish native, it's just ok, very much the sports bars feel, but at least they play European soccer, hurling, rugby etc. I am vegetarian so food choices are limited, but enjoyed the Smithwicks on tap. Located in the DTC area this is a nice pub style place that is good for a tasty lunch. You have indoor and patio seating and a staff is always cheerful and service has always been very good. It can get pretty busy at lunch though and parking can be a pain but they have a parking garage that if you get there early you'll get a space. I go here often for lunch and I must say that they have one of the best burgers in the business. The Angus burger is so fresh and juicy that you don't even need to add condiments. read more

I work close by and come occasionally for lunch. The food has always been great, it's just the service is sooooo slow. It's very hard to get in and out in an hour. Darcy's is a lot like Landsdown Arms in Highlands Ranch, going for that upscale Irish pub feel, with an extensive beer list, and food that definitely surpasses the quality of normal pub fare. Darcy's, despite a smaller patio than Landsdown, is actually a better spot. They've been able to approximate the neighborhood pub more effectively by containing both the bar and restaraunt area in a single open room. They've also done a better job with the food, as I've ordered half of the items on the menu and not been dissapointed with a single selection. If you're looking to have a private happy hour, or perhaps a birthday dinner, the library room in the back is a great choice. This place is great for the casual beer, or a tastey dinner. I go to this place quite a bit...not because it is good, but because it is close & has decent happy hour specials. I like the Irish & English beer on draft, but the food is so-so (not bad, but not great). The service is hit & miss. There are a couple of great servers, but most are just okay. Service at the bar is pretty bad...the bartender more interested in talking to his friends than keeping up with patrons (isn't this a tip business?). My new favorite place! I have only been there after 10pm but that's when they have one of the best happy hour specials. Dollar soft tacos and burgers which will be the best 2 bucks you've ever spent along with 3 dollar drafts. Good cocktail service and a nice up-scale pub atmosphere with a heated outdoor patio. I was looking for a fun place to go on St Patrick's Day, no not the Saturday before St Patricks Day but actually St Patricks Day. After researching opportunities near DTC I landed on Darcy's to start my day, WOW, I am glad that I did. I had an Irish breakfast that tasted like it arrived strait out of Ireland. The rashers and sausage were as authentic as they get. I also really enjoyed the yorkshire pudding, Irish soda bread and cooked tomatoes. It reminded me of the breakfasts that I enjoyed every morning on my tour across Ireland. I also decided to indulge in a bloody mary, not to Irish but very tasty. It had great seasoning and just enough spice to clear out my nostrils. Given the rave reviews that I have for the food and drinks, my only minor disappointment was the service. I found the staff friendly and engaging but at times it appeared as though they were overwhelmed and somewhat inattentive. On another day this might have been a bigger deal but, this was a lazy Sunday and St Patricks Day so I didn't mind as much. I will be sure to return to this quaint little establishment to see if they can win me over with other wonderful dishes that remind me of my amazing trip only a few years ago. read more

I have always found Darcy's to be a nice place with decent food but today (4/22) - YIKES! I had lunch there (around 12:30pm) and ordered the chicken pot pie. A couple hours later I began to have nausea and stomach upsetness. By 5 pm it was much worse and I threw up violently five times. An hour later I threw up three more times but not as violently. My stomach upsetness has continued past 9pm but is gradually getting better. Clearly a case of food poisoning. This was the only meal I had all day so the logic is inescapable. For whatever random reason, possibly related to alcoholism, this was one of 3 irish pubs in different parts of town that I'd visited in one day. They've got 90 Schilling on draft, so they get at least 3 stars just for that. They have a pretty nice patio for a place in DTC. It's a pretty good place to have a few drinks after work, but for whatever reason I don't ever want to stay for too long, I always feel like I'm drinking at work. This was an interesting place. I came here around 9pm on a monday with some friends I hadn't seen in years. We all grew up around here and somehow found our way back for the holidays. This is an Irish themed pub but I was surprised that for a Denver bar, they only had one local brew on tap. They had some great ones, but sometimes i just want a good local beer. I work evenings so when I heard Darcy's has a late night happy hour I decided to check it out. For being an Irish pub I was surprised at how dismal their beer selection is. With so many great micro brews in Colorado the selection of generic every day beer was disappointing. I settled on a Guinness. The happy hour menu looked decent but taste wise it was mediocre. Chips and guacamole tasted out of a bag and jar and the pot stickers were probably frozen ones heated up. The bill came up to just over $30 for four beers and two appetizers. First of all come for the food and stay for the friendly atmosphere. I am from out of town and our hotel is directly beside this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by friendly staff. I ordered the Brie, bacon and truffle oil burger. It was absolutely delicious and life changing! If you are in the area I would highly recommend coming here for sure. The staff was fun, friendly, informative and made us feel right at home. Checked out Darcy's again last night since friends wanted to do GWD trivia. I was totally reminded of why I was so unimpressed the first time I went. My friend and I sat at our table for 15 minutes with no sign of a server so we had to order from the bar. I opened up a tab and then the bartender came over to me and said she transferred it to the waitress. What waitress? Oh, the one who was horribly inconvienced by having to serve us. I would have rather gone thru the bar TBH. When trivia was over she was pressuring us to close out our tabs and seemed upset that we actually wanted to stay, drink more, and order food. She also forgot my drink and then said I never ordered it and then remembered that I actually did. Thanks for basically calling me a liar. Really the service here is TERRIBLE. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the atmosphere and food are decent. read more
