I have always found Darcy's to be a nice place with decent food but today (4/22) - YIKES! I had lunch there (around 12:30pm) and ordered the chicken pot pie. A couple hours later I began to have nausea and stomach upsetness. By 5 pm it was much worse and I threw up violently five times. An hour later I threw up three more times but not as violently. My stomach upsetness has continued past 9pm but is gradually getting better. Clearly a case of food poisoning. This was the only meal I had all day so the logic is inescapable. After a quick cruise through DTC to find someplace for dinner, we decided on Darcy's. Parking is extremely tight and my first though upon opening the door was something along the lines of "holy noise, batman". On most occasions the noise wouldn't bother me, but we literally just moved to the area and my ears are sore from my parents "helping". Although it was crowded, we were almost immediately seated in the back room area (much quieter, because apparently most people over the age of 90 dine back there). Their menu looks pretty extensive - I had the "adult" mac & cheese, which was really yummy and extremely cheesy. Whil had (and liked) the fish & chips & beer, the Tues nite special - a much better deal than fish & chips alone. I'm looking forward to heading back for the lobster relleno - sign me up! read more

This place is passable. Nothing special on tap, and food is "just ok". Nothing on the menu really stands out. The service has not once been exceptional (slow, and it almost pains most of the servers to smile or it's like they have someplace else they'd rather be.. I went here on a first (and emphatically last) date. Bad company aside, I had a positive experience here, starting with drinks and ending with cottage pie (shepherd's pie made with beef instead of lamb) for dinner. Darcy's is a local Bennigans, If you love the place, sorry. I'm not going to pay extra for drinks and food just cause the rent is high in the tech center. Don't get me wrong the food is very good however the shepherds pie leaves much to be desired, it reminded me of chili with mashed potato on top. There's little to no parking, but the beer is served very cold. I had fun there on St Patty's day but only because we lived across the street. If you want a genuine Irish pub try O'Shea's on Belleview and Yosemite. read more

Great service and great food. Our friends told us about Darcy's when we first moved to DTC but they said it was a dive bar. It's far from that! It's a wonderful Irish pub with tons of character - from the staff that is! They're genuine nice Irish guys and want you to have a good time. Happy hour is great and their entrees are also tasty. First of all come for the food and stay for the friendly atmosphere. I am from out of town and our hotel is directly beside this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by friendly staff. I ordered the Brie, bacon and truffle oil burger. It was absolutely delicious and life changing! If you are in the area I would highly recommend coming here for sure. The staff was fun, friendly, informative and made us feel right at home. I don't think I've ever hated a restaurant more than this. They served me undercooked chicken and when I pointed it out the waitress brought me a plate to remove the chicken and just eat the rest. I told her I couldn't do that,I'm not eating your pan seared salmonella. Someone is going to get horribly sick at this place. She then said she took it off the bill but split my bill with someone else so yes I paid for undercooked chicken I didn't eat. Great lunch spot in the heart of DTC! It is very yummy and has a big menu. The chicken pot pie and the mushroom burger are two of my favorites. Also the fries are some of the best in town. Our server Nick was very attentive at lunch today. The only thing thar brings this place down is the lack of hostess. It seems the waitresses just walk around and if you're waiting to be sat they take you. I've waited for long periods of time before I'm sat before. Another issue is parking this lot is somewhat small and used by many places. Usually I've found parking in the garage, but that can be a long walk and sometimes time consuming. read more

I couldn't cut the brownie with a steak knife. The Shepherd's Pie was ground beef with the consistency of dog food. The salad was the usual weeds and sticks bag stuff with very strange dressing that had been cooked and separated. Not good. read more

I don't know what it is but I just like this place. I usually sit either outside or near the outside where I can feel the breeze. My favorite place to relax a little bit on a weeknight. To let loose but not get too crazy....I've had steak and wine there before and really enjoyed myself. read more

Me and my buddy go for geeks who drink trivia night Saturdays which is fun and entertaining, I personally am not a trivia geek and I still enjoy the night.. It's a nice place to chill drink and maybe meet a new friend. I'm glad we found this spot and we'll definitely keep it on the list. So far I've only had the Irish nachos and the adult mac n cheese and I'd say two thumbs up for awesomeness! Easy parking makes is a big bonus. read more

I seem to remember this place being better than it was. I had the fish and chips the other night and they were ok, albeit bland. The chips were ok as well. The beers on the other hand are good, and I've been here for happy hours where they've got killer food deals. The parking lot sucks, especially around happy hour, service is good, and it's an "upscale" pub. Personally, I'd rather go "down the street" to the Landmark and Slattery's for a bit better food. read more

I'm really disappointed. I lived near Darcy's for over 2 years. Their Chopped Chicken Salad is my favorite salad anywhere. I recently went in to order the salad and was shocked to find that the price had risen to $14 and they cut the size in half! I used to get the full size salad for $11. I won't be back. read more

Had a great time at Darcy's when we visited after our meetings in Denver. DO NOT sit up close to the front door, you will freeze to death when it's cold out, just a warning. They need to fix how slow the doors close, I needed my jacket on the whole time so I didn't freeze to death, toes got a little numb. The food and beer selection was excellent, and the restaurant manager walks around and checks on you from time to time, which I liked. We got appetizers first, the mussels and calamari was superb, especially for pub cuisine. I got the Reuben as I always do in Irish pubs, Deeelicious, a very good Reuben. Loved the stylish Rye bread, very fresh and tasty, the corned beef was fresh and hot, and it wasn't piled full of sauerkraut, just enough to make the perfect Reuben. Clean atmosphere, a good place to unwind after work. 4 Stars... fix the slow closing front doors, so Texas visitors don't freeze when seated near it ;) read more

I've been going to Darcy's for over 5 years and have watched it go from an authentic irish pub with great food to a struggling bar with weak bar food. They use to have unique menu items but it's very apparent that they are struggling and are more concerned with profit instead of authenticity and quality. No more Irish mustard, horseradish or artisan marble rye. The day I went to lunch they were even out of smithwicks beer, how does that happen? Went for Saturday night trivia. It was soo loud we couldn't hear the trivia lady. She talked too close to the mic so it sounded all muffled. She talked in a weird sing-song type voice, we couldn't understand any of her words. We left halfway through the 2nd round. Wouldn't recommend going to their trivia nights. read more

Can't comment on the food, but loved the outdoor bar. The food is the same as Casey's, Landsdowne Arms etc. They own all the bars. Casey's is dog food, Landsdowne Arms is good and I heard this place is good. read more

Hot damn this place has some tasty burgers. I ate here once in a Tuesday, got the special (burger and a beer). Went with the black and blue burger medium with an IPA because I'm a grown ass man. Burger was cooked perfectly, beer was cold and tasty, and it was all delicious. Came back on another Tuesday and got the special again. Went with the bacon cheeseburger this time and I'll be damned if it wasn't better than the first. I don't spend a lot of time around the tech center but I'll be hitting this place up every Tuesday that I'm here. read more
