The crust is perfect chewiness and perfection with the right amount of airy and right about of thin and the sauce is amazing! You will NOT be disappointed! They also fulfill my special requests with ease and a smile! I have told thousands of flight crew about this place as it's right around the corner from our layover hotel. I bid this layover ONLY to get pizza. Yes, I gave up a Hawaii, Cancun and Costa Rica trip for this layover for Mucca Pizza, so that should say it all! The pizza arrived at the table, the wife and I have varied tastes so we each ordered a quarter pizza. Mine was pepperoni, the wife had a veggie. The pizzas looked right, square, caramelized crispy edges, heavy toppings... and then on the side of the plate was this cup of ranch dressing. Duh! "Ranch" obviously has to have a good ranch, right? I dipped my pinky finger in the ranch and took a taste. You would not think one ranch can be so far ahead of the others, but ranch is the place for ranch, as well as pizza. My first bite brought a smile to my face, it was just, right in every way that a Detroit pie should be. I have been back to try their #4 pie with sausage and ricotta, and I am looking forward to more trips. If all that was not enough, the service was friendly, the food came out so quick (about 10 minutes) and the place was nice and clean.

Whether it was the lack of sauce, the sauce itself being quite bland, or simply an imbalance of flavors, the end result just wasn't pleasant. The biggest issue is the value. A $25 cheese pizza doesn't need to be life-changing, but it should at least taste better than Costco's. In this case, unfortunately, it didn't. If your goal is to enjoy great pizza, I'd recommend one of the many other pizza spots in the area instead.

Staff are just like NYC: no suck-up, extra sarcasm, and if you stand at the register for 5+ minutes fumbling with your wallet, they might make a snide comment. But it's endearing grouchy, not really mean, and it adds to the "flavor" of the whole place. Parking in NW 23 is usually very hard. Additionally, if you dine-in, there is an entire bottle of oil on the table that you are encouraged to use on your pizza. It is delicious, and really completes the pizza flavor profile! They used to automatically include two small containers of oil per pizza if you ordered to-go. Current policy appears to be to not include any oil with the pizza (unless explicitly asked) and to only provide a maximum of two oils (even if multiple pizzas are ordered). I don't know if there is an oil shortage or what, but this is silly for a place that charges so much for their pizza. Life of Pie is a typical Portland restaurant that expects you to tip before you receive your food (and also expects you to bus your own table). To me, this expectation alongside with the inconsistency of the food for the price, is disappointing, and does not encourage people to go out of their way to return. When the food is good it is a solid place, however I would expect much more consistency for the price they command.

2 stars because I like location. Went there on Sunday morning for breakfast and met the worst JERK waiter ever. He was so rude we left and did not place an order. Troy & Bonnie should reconsider this dude. his over the top, bad customer service, smart mouth, terrible attitude, condescending and patronzing ways makes you want to choose another location. I've been to Darcys quite a few times and my only major complaint is the consistency of the food. Sometimes my burger is amazing and just what I wanted, sometimes it's pretty blah. The taco salad I ordered once was flat out terrible. But, the service is always super friendly and fast, so I continue to chance it. read more

Located at the corner of Glisan and 74th it is a short drive from just about anywhere. It is also a favorite among workers at Providence Hospital, which is where we heard about it. Parking is mostly available on 74th, there are scant few spaces behind the bar and one handicapped space. The menu is mostly based on their proclivity for making some amazing fried chicken and other fried appetizers, but there are sandwiches and burgers, fish and chips, and chicken fried steak. Service was quick and friendly and food came out within a reasonable amount of time. There were five of us in our party so we ordered appetizers like mini corn dogs and fried cheese curds. Both of which were wonderfully prepared and worth checking out. The rest of the plates were the fried chicken and one order of fish and chips. The chicken is definitely the star here, although I was surprised at the size of the pieces of fish, quite large. Bring an appetite or friends. Side dishes were mainly either fries or jo-jo's and we had a variety of side salads, mac salad and cole slaw. All reported to be excellent. I am looking forward to coming back to try the breakfast menu soon. The rest rooms were well stocked and clean, the tables were also clean. The bar was equally well stocked with everything from your basic draft beers to any kind of alcohol your liver desires.
