I frequent this pizzeria often over the last 15 years.. to me it's amazing to watch a business decline due to unfriendliness and constant changing of pricing... we went in yesterday and ordered a large soda and one plain slice each. We each paid 6.80 which is a lot compared to others.. the very next day we went in and a woman was working with dark hair.. She charged us 7.25 for the same thing! And gave us the smallest slice you could possibly imagine.. aside from the fact that there's too many other better pizzerias he is the most unfriendly person as a pizzeria owner... he doesn't say hello. Total dissatisfaction, I have to say this USED to make good pizza! Not anymore they are dirty! As a customer for over 4 years they completely lost me after I ordered a $15 salad which was completely wilted with dressing all over it after I asked for dressing on the side. Not sure what happened this time. My last post states that Dario never disappoints. I definitely take that back. I know times are tough in all businesses in todays world but I've never be so disappointed as my last trip for pizza at Dario's. We had a guest from out of town visiting and wanted to show off Dario's pizza. It was the worst lunch we've ever had!!! We ordered slices like we normally do but clearly these pizzas were hanging around all day and we're ready to be retired. They were heated I the oven but sure weren't served to us hot! I had ordered a salad that was totally uneatable. It tasted moldy. We didn't say anything while we were there but be sure we were totally embarrassed by the lack of quality of food served to us that day. First and last time! Went there based on great reviews. We are in the beginning of a second wave of Covid and was turned off by the young lady with her mask under her nose and no gloves. Touching the pizza without washing her hands or putting on gloves. Took my payment and gave me the change. I asked if there was any sanitizing liquid and she said no. Nice little pizza spot. A huge selection of pizzas by the slice. I got the buffalo chicken, chicken caesar, and white w/ tomato and brocoli. All three were decent. The chicken itself was very good on both slices, but the sauces were a little overwhelming. Buffalo was a little too hot and caesar has just too much dressing. Those are easy fixes and maybe its not always that way. I would have loved to see a chicken bacon ranch or chicken club with all the chicken selections they already had available. That would be great because the grilled chicken is so good here. Also didn't see a menu anywhere other than a little chalk board with a few specials, like desserts. This place has potential. Dario's has become one of our favorite places to order out from on a Saturday night. They have a great selection of pizza, pasta, and other dinner selections. The chicken lubrano was delicious as was the chicken Sorrentino. Our son loves the penne and vodka sauce. My daughter loved the eggplant rollantini, I thought it was great too, I had to try some. I've been eating pizza from this place just about from the day it opened, known as Pizza Plaza back then. The Lubrano family are loved by our community year after year. I worked a summer here after high school as the worlds fastest delivery boy with several tickets to prove it! There was this green blur in the shape of a Mitsubishi Eclipse with a sign on the door that was barely legible due to the ludacris speed it was traveling. . Def try my absolute favorite, the Broccoli Mozzarella Foccacia pan pizza. It's must be what the tears of angels taste like. Angelic pizza bliss. This employee literally handled our pizza without wearing gloves. When I walked in he was cleaning counters. So imagine why don't you....employee with a dingy rag and blue solution cleaning up after other STRANGERS bare handed; going right from doing that to asking me, "how can I help you." But the gross part was when he just picked up slices of pizza GLOVELESS or with out even rinsing his hands off and sloppily threw it in the oven to reheat. I don't usually write bad reviews, however, their situation with the "Italian" sub has forced my hand. Let me first start by saying their pizza is above average and they have a large selection. I am a connoisseur of Italian sandwiches though and usually get one anytime I am in a pizzeria. Being as this is the closest to my house, I was hoping it would work out....but alas it has not. They put 2 slices of ham and a slice of salami on a half stale roll. The worst part is they use white...yes white onions and roughly chopped romaine lettuce on the sub. Would it kill you to buy a bag of red onions and use them for sandwiches, or not take the lettuce from your caesar salad mix and slap it on my sandwich. I highly recommend the chicken bacon ranch pizza. It has its own taste like I never taste before. It is kinda expensive place, but defiantly worth it. Just bring your own drink so the bill isn't $700 dollars lol. read more

It's called Dario's now (the owner's name, who took it over from his parents years ago). I've coming here for years and has always been my favorite pizza. I won't try and tell anyone it's the best in the world, because no one has eaten at them all, but this is my absolute favorite. It never lets me down. And I haven't even lived in the area for the last 8 years but when I come back to visit family, I make sure I eat from here at least once. Other than pizza, the subs are great too. Date night with the Mrs. She was in the mood for Pizza. I was happy to oblige. We happened upon Dario, and we are so glad we did. Immediately upon walking in, we were blown away by the huge variety of pizza options... of which we tried none. Go figure! She had the Chicken Broccoli Roll, and said it was great. I had the Shrimp Parmesean, and while the shrimp was slightly over done, the dish was still very good. Then we noticed the dessert specials! Oh my!!! She had the Tiramisu... excellent! I had the Coconut Creme Brulee (if you've read my post about Charcoal in Kitchener, Ontario... then you know how I feel about Creme Brulee). While the texture could be less grainy, the flavor... decadent. Simply wonderful! Dario will be seeing more of us soon! read more

I have never thought to have to ask if there was beef or pork put on a chicken parm sub but Which my sub was made with meat sauce. When I asked Dario if they always put meat sauce on a chicken parm sub and he said yes. Weird. So for anyone who doesn't eat beef or pork. Be warned. I ordered two plain slices of pizza and the slice was so thin i couldn't even pick it up...It wasn't thin because it's "thin pizza" it was so thin it was like they cut the dough in half to save money. The cheese was barely there and couldn't be classified as cheese...It was basically thin see through dough with tomato sauce.
