If you are an avid coffee lover, this is the spot for you. It's tucked away in a strip mall but the place has a lot of seating and options. Kind of dark inside but I would say it's a nice place to study. The baristas are super nice and helpful when it comes to describing the options they have and their recommendations. We were recommend one tonic and I got a custom drink with yuzu foam! Our drinks were delicious and we got to hang out there for around 2 hours. The coffee is STRONG too. I usually don't feel the effects of caffeine but I definitely felt it here. Not for those with a low caffeine tolerance. Everything was very flavorful and nothing was bitter. One of my favorite coffee shops in town! So fresh that I always grab a bag of fresh coffee grounds. The ambience is very cozy and dimly lit. My only concern lately is the unfriendly barista Alia, she never smiles and rarely says hello. And most of the time my usual latte tastes burnt when she makes it. Not sure why I haven't reviewed our favorite coffee shop in town, but here I am! We absolutely love Dark Moon! The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, whether you're popping in for a quick drink to go or you plan on staying a while. The staff is always very friendly and extremely knowledgeable with the various coffee and tea products they offer. We also enjoy that they do have a good sized menu offering both coffee and tea, as well as a great selection of coffee cans and bagged coffee beans to take home. I first found this place by chance, working a jobsite (landscaping) came in as such & I was warmly welcomed into a legit coffee shop set up that gives off a different vibe!! They have a really good set up, you can tell. They are passionate about the Coffee that they source and make, and if all of the extra machines don't do it for you. Was in the area looking for a coffee shop and came across Dark Moon. It's in a plaza that's not too busy so plenty of parking. Have never been to the shop but I feel like I have seen their brand somewhere! When you walk in it's kinda dark. Has limited seating and most people inside were studying/working. They do make their own coffee and you can watch them grinding in the back. The menu is small and they have a few pastries. My daughter ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte & Croissant. I had asked the girl for recommendations but all she did was point to the menu. Not sure if she understood but I ordered a Honey Latte. We were lucky to find a table in the corner. The store has a good selection of merch but just wished there were pricing. Our order was brought to our table and I like that they use different glassware to serve their drinks. The croissant wasn't anything special just a plain one. My latte was good, could taste the honey but more of the espresso which is what I like. My daughter liked her iced latte. The nitro cold brew was really good for the road. . Espresso tonic, they use fever tree tonic water. It's very good, and they mix in their syrup and then espresso shot. It's a very refreshing drink and definitely recommended. . Matcha latte, they use the ceremonial grade matcha so can't go wrong with matcha latte if your not wanting coffee. . Overall I would drive here and get coffee just to switch up the vibes from midtown las vegas. Drinks are good, but the inside sit down vibe is meh, nothing fancy just some casual seating. I think when I have coffee I want my taste buds full of sugar and the caffeine surging through my veins. So my vanilla latte was a little disappointing. However I love the decor, service was good, and i love the brewery coffee shop vibes. My friends lllove it. Its a little more dim compared to other shops so its a vibe for sure. Lots of parking outside. Pretty llimited seating of 5 small tables and 5 bar seats. Not great for big group studies, but small groups or individual is fine. Menu for lattes, teas,and coffees are pretty straightforward and basic. They dont overcomplicate the menu. They have some baked goods as well and a lot of merch. I did buy some kombucha to go to give it a try. Dont know when I'll try them to udpate the review but the buch is a fermented tea. I got the dry hop pear, hibiscus ginger, and bloom (blueberry, lavendar chamomile). Their cold brew is highly praised and you can get SO MANY TYPES. I was in the area and saw that they roast their own coffee beans. I stopped by to buy a bag of coffee and ended with the Nova Blend. That was an amazing bag of coffee. They use a blend of natural and washed beans (natural beans are really special and give a slight fermented berry like flavor) The tasting notes were spot on with a chocolatey berry flavor and was just what I wanted. I went back on my last day to pick up a 5 lb bag of the Nova Blend.. that's how good it is! read more

I've driven by this place so many times, and I finally decided to try it. The place is right next to I Love Sushi. I walked in and the place was very cute. Looks like a great place to study and just chill. I walked in and looked at their menu by the cashier, and it is a pretty simple menu. I ordered a cold brew with vanilla. I did not state that I wanted cream/milk. I didn't realize it didn't automatically come with it, which is kind of weird. So be sure to state that you want cream/milk or you won't get it. Since I went before work and was in a rush, I walked out with my black cold brew :( Buf it was actually very delicious! I don't usually like black coffee but this was really good! I was looking forward to trying the cappuccino as the reviews I read online supported it to be a good place for you strong cappuccino. For the moment I I tried the place to order things already started to go down but I said okay let's try anyway. My wife prefers to have one shot in her latte versus two as she likes a weaker coffee. The girl working at the counter said it's against our policy we cannot give you one shot I said white can you make the shot and dump out half of it she said the owner says we're not allowed to do that LOL I simply replied that doesn't make sense. We moved forward with the order, the wife decided to order a croissant to go with her latte. I guess the other policy is they're not allowed t0 warm the croissant. Once the cappuccino I ordered and the latte was ready nobody said anything they just sat it at the end of the bar. Then to make it worse my cappuccino was warm not hot. I drink it as a shot basically in 30 seconds. The presentation of The latte and cappuccino were nice but unfortunately that's the only positivity that I can give on this particular visit. Most likely we will not be coming back. Telling somebody that can have a single shot in there coffee is like going out for breakfast and being told that you can't have your eggs easy over eggs , you can only have scrambled. read more

I have only had the pleasure of visiting this chill place once. Met up with some friends for an early morning hike out here in Henderson. Walking in the vibe is really laid back almost like I want to lay down and take a nap, but wait it's a coffee house right?! I may not drink a lot of coffee but I love exploring these places primarily to smell the beans and chat with friends. This place offers tasty cold brews and other coffee drinks. That's certainly a counterintuitive name when they focus on products in the bright sun. Dark Moon Coffee Roasters is one of the newer coffee roasters in Henderson. They actually do serve beer (rotating selection, drafts and cans) and wine too, and I'd become aware of them when they participated in a series of coffee-infused beans in collaboration with a local brewery and one of my favorite liquor stores. The Dark Moon variant ended up being my favorite of the four. I finally stopped in today due to Dark Moon's participation in the local beer week. They had some cans of coffee-focused beers which we've seldom or never seen in our market, and nothing else of interest was happening this morning anyway. I won't review this because it's not a regular thing, but I did order some goodies to enjoy beforehand. Nitro Cold Brew ($5 / 13 oz): brewed in 5 gallon kegs and served via nitro-infused draft. I couldn't tell ya what this means, but hardcore coffee connoisseurs would appreciate that the barista mentioned that both Ethiopian and Guatemalan beans were used here. The coffee wasn't awesome at first, but once it settled on my palate, I got past the bitterness (not what I search for in cold brews) and grew to appreciate a fantastic, complex layering of flavors including some chocolate-esque notes and an amazing toffee-like backend/aftertaste. However, there remained an impression of acridity throughout. It's not to the extent of something like Stumptown (which I thoroughly detest), but I've enjoyed other local cold brews without that unpleasant note. Dark Moon Dunker ($0.75): basically, a renaming of the cronut holes baked at CRAFTkitchen down the street. The airy and delightfully chewy interior was every bit as lovely as I remember from CRAFTkitchen's own display case. Nice cinnamon sugar coating too. If you're not going to visit the source, then grab one or as many as possible here. (There are a few other CRAFTkitchen baked goods available too. I don't make the rounds of local coffee shops as much as I should, but if you do, Dark Moon is a must-visit. They have drinks for everyone (including tea folks) and a love of what they do. read more

I've had this coffee shop on my list for awhile and finally made it in recently. I needed a Toys For Tots drop off location and was excited that Dark Moon was on the list. I love when I can check off a to do list item and try a local business at the same time. The shop is in a slightly hidden shopping center on Eastern. It's next to I Love Sushi which is behind the Taco Bell. Plenty of parking is available right in front. Inside the coffee shop there was a masculine feel with lots of wood, leather, and clean lines. Somehow the shop still had a cute feel. The shop felt spacious which would make for a comfortable hangout. The pour over coffees intrigued me so I tried the Colombia pour over. It had a slight bitterness and was a strong coffee, but I liked it. As someone that normally only has one brewed cup a day this coffee really perked me up which was great! My productivity really increased after drinking this. I also ordered an iced green tea. That was also good. People looking for a little bite will find some pastries from Craftkitchen. This was a really chill spot. I'm glad it's here but sad to see that most of the other buildings no longer exist. I frequented this area a lot back in H.S. as I lived up the street. The plus side is that there is tons of parking available. The barista was really nice. She was very approachable and knowledgeable. She talked with me for a bit about how they make all their own stuff right there in the building. It's pretty cool. The outside really looks deserted so I had no clue this place was over here. However, once you get in it's really cool. The seating arrangement is a little rough as everything is just wood benches so can be tough to sit there for too long if you're wanting to work but there is plenty of space and the way they set it up is great for if you are working in a small group. This place I saw advertised on my Instagram, so I definitely wanted to check it out. I went on a weekday it wasn't too crowded and the drive wasn't too bad it's just right off of Horizon and Eastern. It's right behind the Taco Bell and the walgreens. We walked in and was greeted right away, I forgot what his name was but he was really good at helping us out on making suggestions. We went this past wed in the afternoon around 2:00 PM, so whoever was working that day he did awesome. My boyfriend isn't a coffee junkie like me, he is slowly learning about coffee. He was a bit confused on what to order, felt kind of bad because he tried this one drink that was eight dollars just was a seasonal drink. It had some kind of dried apple on top and espresso in it with some kind of other flavored shot over ice and I totally forgot what it was called. It was a apple drink... It was a bit strong for him with that espresso, so he added a little bit of sugar in it and he drank half of it and I drank half of it, he was not really impressed by it. If it was a little bit sweeter I think he would've liked it. It wasn't that bad tasting for me, but then again like I said he isn't a coffee drinker, lol. But I had an iced vanilla with oat milk and it was absolutely delicious, I really enjoyed it I would definitely be going back. read more
