Waterton Shoreline Cruise - Getting a seat on the top deck aboard The International on a beautifully sunny summer day.

We did the 2hr tour from Waterton (Canada) to goat haunt (in the US) with a 30 min stop there. I…read morethink the tour was very good--we learned about the area--very informative. At $85 each ($64 US) this tour is overpriced (compared to the US boat tours in Glacier that cost between $19 and $38 each). Also, it would be nice to reserve the tickets on line ahead of time rather than making sure we got to the dock by 6pm the day before to buy tickets in person. Tip: if you want a seat on the top (the best views and cooler) make sure you get in line 30 minutes before your cruise. Also, there are no bathrooms on the boat but there are restrooms in goat haunt. Glad we did it.

Unfortunately, this summer they aren't able to land at goat haunt because the US doesn't have enough parks workers. There are great views along the whole Upper Waterton Lake. We sat up top which is uncovered for the best views. It was a little chilly at times, but not too bad. They said you often see wildlife like moose and bears. We didn't see either, but we did get to see a bald eagle. I think this is a great thing to do to introduce you to the park.

Sadly updating my review- I was so excited to come back here. Unfortunately, the girl at the front…read moredesk was SO rude and really had an off putting tone which impacted the whole experience. I can accept the price raise from a few years ago, but I can't accept the underlying racist attitude. I genuinely try to have a positive attitude with everyone, and this lady was so rude. I observed as other families came in, that happened to be a different skin tone than me and the attitude was extremely friendly with them. Additionally, the amount of signs everywhere.. just felt so unwelcoming, if you don't want anyone to enjoy and be comfortable in your "vortex", skip the do not do this signs, and just close down. As I walked through the shop, I had never been so watched in my life. Not that had any intention of taking anything, but I felt so uncomfortable by this lady already on the few interactions we had. Additionally, I got there early before my tour and had asked if I could have the Wi-Fi password as I had a couple things to do for work while I was waiting. Instead of the lady just telling me didn't have it or she couldn't give it out, she implied that I was going to steal the credit card information off of her machine if I have the Wi-Fi password. Not only is this a poorly educated assumption, but it's extremely rude. How is a place that values themselves in science and new theories going to act so ignorant.

This house and spots with other source of mystery energy was something new to learn and experience for us. This Vortex is very questionable I know there's more than what we see because I learn the truth in the Bible so there's good and bad that we can't see but we do in a spiritual way. I'm glad I came to visit this place and now I will go done research. I recommend this place but it will be nicer if you do your own research first, this way you have better understanding of the vortex.

House of Mystery - Orbs that showed up in my photo, probably because of how strong the electromagnetivity was in the house!

This is a great way to give your tired of hiking feet a break and still experience stunning views…read more The cruise takes about 90 minutes with one stop along the way. Our guide was well versed in the history of the area around the lake and provided us with tidbits and facts. The day we were there, the lake was like glass but apparently windy days are more common. You take the boat from Rising Sun to the end of St Mary Lake. You stop at Baring Waterfall for about 15-20 minutes then continue on. We didn't see any wildlife but moose are common at the end of the lake and we did see some when we walked the trail the day before. The boat is a beautiful wooden boat with lots of open windows and an area in the front that you can stand in to view from outside the covered area. No more than 4 people at a time but on our boat, people went in and out of the area so anyone that wanted to could enjoy. Cost was about $45 each ticket.

I'm not sure I was terribly impressed with either; however, the McDonald one was around $26/person, and the Two Medicine one was just under $20/person. Where else are you getting a boat tour for that price? Checkin and loading were both easy. The driver/tour guides were both friendly. If I were paying $80-100/person, I likely would've been disappointed, but it's hard to complain for the this price.

Words of warning: activities with Algers, your wonderful guide, are not for the tame, but those with an adventurous spirit seeking some guidance from a backcountry expert. This is not safari, just time spent enjoying being alive in a beautiful place. My boyfriend and I chose to do a Jeep Tour with Blackfeet Outfits. Normally, I don't splurge on things I deem to be "touristy," as I hail from a resort town myself and am fairly comfortable outdoors. But, it was September, high bear season, a last minute trip and yadayadayada, so a jeep tour sounded safer. I am SO glad I didn't miss out on the Jeep Tour experience! Other than tranquil Glacier National Park, the time spent with Algers of Blackfeet Outfitters was the highlight of our Montana Excursion. I'm already looking forward to going back next year for fly-fishing, and renting one of the awesome cabins on the property. I saw some mixed reviews online of his lodging. I'm not sure where that stems from, although I assume it's because Babb isn't as glamorous as staying in the Park itself. It is however way more comfortable and a short drive to the Many Glaciers entrance of GNP. For those with RVs, he also has 17 hook ups on site. Best time ever.
