Went there yesterday for the works package $99. I did request Valvoline full synthetic oil for which they charged me $21.42 a quart for a total of $128.52 for 6 quarts. They did not top off my coolant. They over inflated my tire pressures. The tag on the door pillar says 30 psi, they were inflated to 35. They have to peel back the fender liner on the drivers side to change the oil filter, 3 of the push pin plastic fastners were removed and never replaced. However, I purchased a new car last year that is under warranty and also had an active recall so I booked an appointment at Darlings and must admit that I was pleasantly surprised. We bought a used car from Darling's and I was quite apprehensive at first. My salesman, Isaiah, was easy going, honest and worked very hard to not only get me a good deal, he personally resolved every issue with the car. The car had a broken key fob and they took it to the Toyota dealer, got me an extra fob and then delivered the car to my front door. That kind of service is unheard of in this day and age but Darling's will go the extra mile for you. I also appreciate that they didn't make me feel hustled or taken advantage of - everything was easy and straight. Darlings were fantastic. Through no fault of them, this was an overall worst buying experience of my life. Ford failed to deliver the vehicle I had chosen and had a deposit on. We have no idea where it went, but it showed up three weeks late. Darlings tried a dealer swap with a Massachusetts dealer, but they refused the swap because of some tree sap in the vehicle Darlings had brought for trade. Darlings then bought a vehicle from a New York dealer and brought it to Maine. They worked well above anything I would have hoped for. As it turns out, I like the vehicle they got in New York better than the original vehicle. Darlings did me a tremendous favor and worked exceptionally hard to get me a vehicle. I had an issue with a 1996 Ford 7.3 diesel. They said they could scan it for 120.00. If they went over that they would call, they wanted to bill me 240 because they had to put my truck back together after plugging it into a computer! They called with a guess, as to what might be wrong. Out the door repair would cost 1400.00. My wife said nope park it. I called a shad tree tech and it's running with a 25.00 cam shaft positioning sensor. Further more they don't know how to print a receipt either. complete incompetence! read more

I live in New Hampshire. I was looking for a new Ford Bronco. I have a vehicle to trade. I'm told "Our assistant General Manager Andre Lester wanted me to share that we are able to offer our Bronco's that are available for out of state customers but we actually offer them over msrp because we had some customers in the past buy them only to end up flipping them for profit which we want to avoid.". I'm trading a vehicle and I'm one state over, looking to purchase a new vehicle for myself. I think this dealer needs to look at the customer and use a little common sense. Yankee Ford Review So let me start by saying that I had no clue as to what to expect being that I just moved from Texas to Maine, but this service experience was beyond amazing: I brought my 2020 Ford Explorer ST in for service for a transmission issue and Shaun put us at ease that he would have it fixed in no time. I had my doubts because all of the current transmission issues with the Explorers had reduced supplies from Ford quite a bit creating a back order. Shaun put us in a loaner as close to the quality/features of a vehicle he could get which was actually very rare as they usually just give you something, this is service beyond words without even having to ask. We got a call two days later of the part that had failed and that it was on back order but he fought for a quicker turnaround time resulting in an entirely new assembly which was impressive considering the back log at Ford. Needless to say we were back in our Explorer with a new transmission in less than two weeks when there were reports of months of waiting from many other consumers. When we came to pick it up it was freshly cleaned and the loaner turn in process was painless and simple. They even helped my wife put the car seats back into the explorer. Just do yourself a favor and give them a shot as they are a very reputable AND reasonable dealer not just a marketing gimmick. read more

I want to give Yankee Ford in Brunswick, Maine a plug! I drove in and met some nice people in the sales department. I test drove two vehicles and in two hours left with a new $39,000 truck. I financed with USAA and wanted to use my AMEX to add $5,000 towards the price. USAA sent an email to the finance person who was great. I was out the door in a new truck with a prepaid envelope that needed three signatures from my wife to mail back. This is how a dealer is supposed to serve people and keep them as future customers. I updated this 11/12/2019 because I just saw a Lee Auto commercial on Fox News and giggled. Went to Darling's for a safety recall (airbag) on my 2009 Ranger. Service desk person came & reported that coolant reservoir empty, & recommended a flush & refill for $230. I declined, & he offered to "top it off." I said sure (he didn't say with water, I assumed he meant coolant). On October 19th, in Maine, with nighttime temperatures sometimes below freezing, they put in water. First, I have learned (from my trusted mechanic) that the reservoir is simply for overflow, so it being empty was meaningless. Second, water? In Maine in October? By adding the water, I now have to have system flushed, which was not necessary prior to their actions. It appears to be a case of a dealership attempting to leverage a recall to add additional services, but doing so by misrepresenting the issue to the customer. Either the mechanic was unfamiliar with the point of the reservoir, or he/she simply sought to take advantage of a customer. I'm glad I have a mechanic I trust. read more

Wow... Talk about a very disappointing visit to this place. I have a four month old Ford F-150 and noticed a pretty severe leak coming from it. I decided to take my chances and drive it the short distance to bring it to Brunswick Ford. I was greeted by a man at the service desk who was very opposed to making any eye contact as I told him my issue. He then told me I could return the following Monday to have someone even look at it to tell me what's leaking.... Seriously, it's a new Ford truck and you can't take 20 minutes to check this for me? Ended up waiting three hours for a tow truck to bring it to Wisscasset Ford who were very pleasant over the phone and when I finally arrived. I would not suggest anyone to go to Brunswick Ford and travel the few extra miles to Wisscasset Ford, where they actually seem to grasp the concept of customer service. read more

Disclaimer: This is for the service department only, no idea what the sales staff are like. I've been here twice. The first time I came, I was getting an estimate on some damage to my 2014 Fiesta after some genius backed into it while it was parked. I got there right at closing, and I said I could come back later, but the guy working said it was no problem at all. He came right out, took a few pictures, and he emailed me an estimate the very next morning. The guy was great. The second time, I thought my car might have been making weird noises. I knew I was probably being paranoid, but it was under warranty, and I wanted it checked just in case. I called in and made an appointment for a couple days later. I had called Casco Bay Ford, and apparently there was a two week wait. So I brought it to Brunswick. One of the guys checked it out, took it for a short ride. He explained to me that it was fine, and I might have just been hearing the transmission clicking. I'm sure this is a really simple thing if you know anything about cars, but he did a great job of explaining this to me and NOT making me feel like an idiot. Spot on. I made the mistake of buying my car at Casco Bay Ford (read my review of them), but from now on, if I need a new car or service to mine, I'll be heading to Brunswick Ford. We had an awesome salesperson, Kegan was respectful, helpful and certainly presented the impression we were his most valuable customers of the day(s). I would strongly recommend asking for and dealing directly with Kegan at Brunswick should you decide to deal with Tucker or Yankee Ford. However --- Not at all impressed with the "detailing" department. We purchased 2 used vehicles which both presented as clean however once we arrived home and inspected more closely the interior windows were dirty, inside had not been vacuumed or cleaned as we found sand and dirt and the seats had definatly not been given anything more than a light wipe down. And SOOOO not impressed on Saturday afternoon when the owner?? came barging out of the business yelling across the lot to 2 salespeople who he felt were not paying attention to customers. I don't care how angry you are with an employee you do not yell in front of other customers at an employee - most unprofessional and frightening conduct I have ever witnessed. He received out business but certainly not our respect. If we had not already signed paperwork I would have left immediately despite Kegan's great service. read more

It's hilarious that they changed name from "Brunswick Ford", maybe to avoid carrying their bad reviews but they do anyway. When trying to purchase a new Ford Escape, I kept being redirected to buying a used Focus that I initially had interest in but instead decided to go for Escape. You would think that they would want more money on sale, but ineptitude is rampant on sales and maintenance side of things here. This was back in 2012 - Harry Price was sales guy. Lies lies lies. I finally did getvmy Escape, but went to NH to avoid sales tax. Whenever a friend or co-worker says they are thinking of buying here I relay my experience and warn them not to. read more

We have been looking for a new truck for several months. We had a 2006 Ford F-350 Diesel 8 ft bed, excellent condition, but no bites on selling it personally. My husband found a truck that he liked for price, 8 foot bed again and now gas...needed the trade-in to be reasonable...according to their online info, the trade would have been in our ballpark. Drive from NH in our truck ready to make a deal...our salesman took us for a ride, brought us in and asked us what we're looking for for a trade, we told him the top number in what their online info informed us, Ford financing, cash down...he went to finance, came back and said DEAL! Best and easiest deal ever! Great people!!!! Love their new facility too! Oh and we were traveling with our dog, Sonny, they welcomed him for the test drive and then inside to make the deal! I brought my girlfriends vehicle in because it had like 7 codes popping up and had intermittent stalling issues. The garage I normally go to said I should use them to get a diagnosis on what the issue to avoid replacing unnecessary parts from false positive codes. They quoted me $50 to $150 to diagnose the issue and said they would call if it went beyond an hour ($118 per hour). I received a call the next day and they said they updated the PCM software and couldn't get any codes to pop up since and that they would run it in the morning when the engine was cold to check for codes again (I had told them it happens more so when the engine is cold). I got a call the next morning and the same codes were all back and they quoted me $1600 to replace everything from all of the codes but recommended I start with a few parts first. I asked how much money it had run up for the diagnosis (that accomplished zero that I didn't already know). Jay, the service department manager told me $350!! I told him they specifically said they would tell me if it was going to go beyond an hour and that they didn't. He said that I had signed paperwork with a quote upwards of $150 so he could just charge me that instead. They tried to rip me off for $200+ on a diagnosis that left me exactly where I was when I arrived. Total ripoff. They tried to take advantage of me and inflate the time they spent on the vehicle. I doubt they put much time at all into it. Avoid this dealership. read more

I bought my truck there. Do not have it serviced there. I drop my truck off December 26th for a 27th appointment. I hear nothing all day the 27th so I call around 4 pm service rep puts me on hold to check status come back tells me they haven't isolated the noise yet. Dec 28th I hear nothing all day go shopping with my wife. Heading through Brunswick I decide to swing into tucker to check the status of my truck. The first service rep I meet ask about the truck and I express my frustration to the lack of communication they have demonstrated. The next sales rep comes in as the other looks for my paperwork I express to him my frustration, he apologizes and explains to me what they did on the 27th. So the truck was done on Thursday, and no one ever called me, and they never found my paperwork. I get better service at a mom and pop garage. I know they are a new dealership but they better get it together quick, there is too much competition to operate like that. read more

While other dealers tell me they can't find or identify problems I report, or that nothing can be done about a problem, Brunswick Ford stubbornly persists until the problem is identified and fixed. I have tried twice to buy a car from them but both times nothing but bait and switch and empty promises. The first time I approached them to purchase a car the salesperson insisted on knowing how much I would like to spend. I gave him a ballpark figure of 5K plus my car as trad-in. I told him what I wanted for features and sure enough he found me just what I was looking for. I took it home and showed the wife and she liked it. We went back to Tucker to close the deal and all of a sudden the price is now 10K plus my car. That salesperson knew that my budget was 5K but steered me into a more expensive car. A couple hours wasted and the bait and switch tactic. I left without buying. A few weeks later another salesperson contacted me. He assured me that Tucker wanted to make tings right with me and win me as a customer. I used to be a customer of Brunswick Ford. Anyways, another hour spent going over hat I could spend and what I was looking for. That salesperson told me that he should be able to find what I was looking for and to give him a chance and he will contact me. 4 weeks later and I have never heard from him again. Just an empty promise. So, if you like to be lied to and feed some BS, be sure to waste your time at Tucker Ford. These guys are awsome!!! My rental car broke down near Brunswick. The rental agency was no help. I called Brunswick Ford and talked to their service department. There were no appointments available that day, and we needed to get to the airport. The service man asked what was wrong, and after we described what the car was doing he told us to bring it in - he thought he knew what was wrong and maybe could get the car working well enough to drive. They took us as soon as we arrived and ran diagnostics. Their guess had been correct! Then they looked up the car in Ford's vehicle database and discovered it was under warranty. They replaced some parts to fix the car and didn't charge us anything! They had us back on the road in less than an hour. Awesome service! Thanks so much guys! I had called in the morning to make sure a specific vehicle I was interested in was there. I was told by Gary that it was and that he would have it ready for me that afternoon. He knew I was coming from an hour away. Upon getting there I was told that he had found out the vehicle had been sent to Rockland 10 minutes before I got there. You could have called me to let me know and save me driving all the way there or you could've called and had them turn the car around so I could see it. He then brings his manager over. Their solution...wait two hours and bring the car back. He did offer to take some money off the vehicle, but at that point I had enough of the rude treatment and was ready to walk out. The manager then insults us by saying if we weren't happy with the price we weren't going to buy it today anyway. I wouldn't drive an hour to see a specific vehicle and not be ready to buy. I also would not agree to a price on a vehicle that I hadn't even seen! The next day I received a text that if I still hadn't found a car they could bring the Edge to me. If you had offered that while I was sitting at your desk I would have been happy with that solution. I took my business elsewhere, spent more money that same night on a similar Edge, but was completely satisfied because I was treated respectfully at another dealer. The way you treat your customers goes a long way and I have already told people I know in the Brunswick area to stay away from Tucker Ford. read more

Our elderly parents are in their 80s. They were taken advantage of by Tucker Ford in Brunswick. They were pressured into buying a new vehicle that day they went in. They were there just to look and see what deal they could get. They were given HALF the price of what their trade-in was worth, per Kelly Blue Book. They paid CASH for their new vehicle and paid hundreds of dollars OVER sticker price. They came back three days later after putting a deposit down, and they wanted their car back and to cancel the deal. They were told they had sold their car already and can't back out of the deal. I have found on Carfax that they actually did still have the vehicle at the time. They paid the balance and left, in cash via money order, thinking there was nothing they could do. The salesman's name is Ethan Duval. I contacted Tucker, and explained what happened to the manager, Bobby. He basically said they will do nothing to make it right with them. Also important to note is our mother has a cochlear implant and cannot hear very well at all. Our father has been deemed by the Doctor as no longer able to make financial decisions etc. due to dementia. They were clearly taken advantage of, And because Tucker Ford refuses to do anything to make this right, I am trying all avenues so that they can get help to make Tucker refund them the amount they "stole" from them. read more

The best service department I've ever used! These guys are skillful, professional, crystal clear in their explanations, and spot on with their estimates. Brent and Matt (hope I got your names right!) especially have been great, and have gone out of their way to accommodate my chemical sensitivities, which make it difficult for me to be around tires, repair shops and gas stations. They've taken the trouble to find out when my extended warranties cover necessary work, and helped me figure out how to get the most bang for my limited bucks when they don't. SERVICE DEPT. NIGHTMARE!!! I took my Explorer here and they told me that I needed to get a new Master cylinder, Slave cylinder and clutch - charged me $2500. They tore off my military stickers on my back window, I guess they don't support veterans. On the way home after the repairs, pieces of metal dropped out of the bottom of my car. I turned around and took it back. They said that the problem had nothing to do with what they just fixed and charged me more to fix it. I knew then, I wouldn't ever go back. But to top it all off, 5000 miles later, all three (slave cyl., master cyl. and clutch) went out again. I took it to another mechanic and he took it apart an informed me that Ford never replaced the clutch or master cylinder, but only repaired the slave cylinder. So they charged me $2500 and never actually replaced two of the parts they charged me for and the labor involved. Worst automobile experience of my entire life, and they obviously don't support our military. read more

They got me in the same day I called and got it done quickly. I had work I needed to do while I was waiting and they even got me set up at a desk so that I could get my work done comfortably. On top of that, when I went to my car after they were finished, they had washed the outside and vacuumed! They begged me to write a review so here it is. Almost every single thing that Tucker Ford has done to make the buying process of my new vehicle has been messed up in one way, shape or form. The miles listed online were different from the actual mileage by about 10,000.... nice. The CPO I bought was supposed to come with a full tank of gas, it did not. I went in and talked to the salesman, showed him the paperwork and he is appearently cutting me a check for that. The car was supposed to come with 2 sets of keys, it did not. Why wouldn't they have the second key made before someone comes in to buy the vehicle? Amateur hour. I made time to go back to Tucker for the key and the key they had ordered was WRONG and now i have to go back AGAIN. The paperwork I needed to cancel the warranty on my trade was WRONG and took way more time and frustration than needed to correct it. They got my email address WRONG after giving it to them at the time of sale and later on when trying to get the paperwork figured out. They have it on file... c'mon guys! The warranty I bought was different from what the paperwork stated and i didn't notice it until almost a week later. Ridiculous. The salesmen and finance manager are both pretty friendly but I think management needs to step up and work to try to make this process smoother.
