I spotted Dartealing Lounge several times when riding by on a SF #30 Muni bus (going from Caltrain towards downtown). A lover of tea, I was happy to finally try it with a friend this past weekend. The experience was good. Ambiance: the lounge is in an old (historic) building on 3rd Street in SOMA. The long room has a cozy feel with the cutest décor (decorative lamps, chintz curtains, a variety of seats and photos). It is spacious compared to another SF (Noe Valley) tea room I'd visited years ago - giving you some privacy. Food: the Proper Tea service was what the two of us ordered. It is composed of two pots of tea (separate flavors) in gorgeous, heavy china teapots and a 3-tiered plated tower with a mix of savory and sweet creations. We happened to be at the lounge while the June menu was " Latin flavor ". My absolute favorite things were the tea sandwiches. The shop makes their own sauces and recipes for these. There were two corn (elote), two chicken salad and two cucumber sandwich triangles per person - basically we each ended up with 1.5 entire full-sized sandwiches on soft white and brown bread. Yummy. The acclaimed scone was just okay. Having my scone sliced in half on the plate with a dollop of clotted cream and a spot of lemon curd on it (rather than keeping them whole and the toppings in side cups) was a negative point. The toppings made the scones a bit soggy. The scones also were small and being slightly toasted - they ended up being dry :( The two halves of scone were dainty-looking but not substantial. The puréed black bean (with chunks of bean) empanada was yummy but underbaked and the chorizo roll in puff pastry was nice but there was a thin amount of chorizo. Teas: I chose a black tea (Her Majesty's Secret Service - deep brown) and my friend chose a white, fruity tea (Cabana Boy). Both teas had light aromas and tastes. They went well with the food. Service: Very pleasant. We were asked to wait in the entry lounge for 5 minutes until our official start time of 11:30am commenced. Then right on time, we were escorted to our table - a cute round set up in a corner. The wingback chair I sat in was plush and I sank into it. The tea service was clearly explained to us and we placed our orders. We were asked how things were once and had the water in the teapots replenished. Interesting fact: the lounge has been in business for 17 years. That's some longevity!!! Overall, Dartealing Lounge provides a nice tea service at a reasonable price. The other patrons (Moms with daughters, Grandmothers with grandkids or just groups of friends) were enjoying the experience. The 90 minutes for this reservation went by so quickly that we had to box some of the food to takeaway. I'm sure others were like me wishing we were given more time to relax.

Friendly service in a cute little tea shop. Loved the variety of tables and seating. Bathroom is single occupant in the back past their kitchens. We were able to snag reservations on Valentine's Day which happened to have the Lunar New Year themed menu and decor too- super cute. The items for the Lunar New Year were on theme and tasty. One of my favorites was the cucumber garlic chive finger sandwiches. Street parking around the shop, but we took the ferry into the city and did a decent walk over, which wasn't too bad!

The best afternoon tea in SF in terms of value, quality of tea and food, ambiance, vibes, and service! $49 per person is a great deal. I came here with 4 friends to kick off my bachelorette celebration. We had a cozy seating area with two small tables, nice and out of earshot from the other tables & groups in the tearoom. We were able to pick 3 types of tea to share- we picked one green, one white, and the most popular: the Parisian Earl Grey. The earl grey was so good, two of us bought some of it to take home. The food was delicious, and there was so much of it that we took a box of sandwiches and a box of sweets to go. The sausage rolls were amazing! I also love how the scones (my second favorite food item that we got) were served pre-cut in half. I liked all of the sandwiches, as well. Our reservation was for 90 minutes, which was the perfect amount of time to enjoy everything and drink plenty of tea. They refilled our hot water as many times as we requested. Highly recommend this place for afternoon tea or a celebration! Book a reservation and pay a deposit in advance.

Had a great time at afternoon tea here with some friends. Tip- park on the cross street from 3rd. There was lots of street parking. We all loved all the food and service was great. We had a pre set menu and we picked our 3 teas. I loved how cute all the different tea sets were and overall the place has a very cute/cozy vibe.

I've been to Dartealing three times now for special occasions, and it never disappoints. There's street parking nearby, but it is San Francisco... so we usually just take a Lyft to make it easier. Booking was super easy--I submitted an interest form and got a text the same day confirming our reservation. The tea lounge itself is the nicest I've been to. It's clean, cozy yet spacious, and I adore their mix of cups, saucers, and teapots. Such a cute touch. The presentation of the food was gorgeous! The sandwiches were tasty, and the scones and sweets were delicious too. We each picked a tea and sampled one another's; my favorite ended up being the Cherry Blossom blend. Our server was wonderful--kind, knowledgeable, and great at walking us through everything. Highly recommend if you're looking for a lovely high tea experience.

Finally tried this tea house. Sufficient parking outside. When we arrived at noon, it seemed like a full house. Our waiter informed us the various teas including the finger sandwiches, desserts and mini pastries. 3 of us ordered our own tea and shared it. The food was delicious and we still had a lot of leftovers to go. There was only one waiter servicing all tables except maybe 2. It felt like I was in Europe. I saw one lady came out with to go boxes and gave 2 girls next to us complimentary teas in a bag. Must've been the chef that they knew. But the waiter was very helpful and prompt. One of the few tea houses I would like to return and tell my friends about. Definitely impressed with the overall experience.

I've been to dartealing twice - once in a large group for a birthday and more recently in a small group of friends. Both times were incredible. This tea lounge has a large selection of teas, including a few premium teas which cost about $5 extra. We got three different teas and shared. Each guest is able to pick one tea for themselves or to share in their group. We picked wings of the dove (a light white tea), spring eternal (fruity oolong) and Parisian earl grey. Our favorite was the Parisian earl grey with milk and sugar. Food was amazing. There was a variety of finger sandwiches, sweets, fruit and scones. Sandwiches rotate depending on the season. Dartealing has the best afternoon tea food pairings of all the tea lounges I've been to. They are also able to accommodate some dietary restrictions as long as you inform them ahead of time. Service was great. Staff is kind and knowledgeable about the menu. They frequently checked back in on us. Parking is fine, it's sf after all. I recommend parking on the cross streets of 3rd. Sundays are free parking. Would definitely come back!!!! Super cute and yummy place :)

We enjoyed the food, but the tea and ambiance were the real stars. Lots of variety and choices for tea. Quaint décor. Service was a little discombobulated, maybe because it was a busy season, but there were mix-ups in seating, tea, and food. Once they finally got us the right items, everything was fine. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall a nice experience

Busy Mother's Day weekend so longer to get served, reservation for 4 was 1-3:20pm and we got seated quickly but served around 1:40pm. Prefixe menu $49/pp with savory and sweet bites. Was pleasantly surprised by the Asian inspired menu! Savory bites and scone + Mac n cheese kimchi fritter: a fun little bite w this mayo like dollop (8.5/10) + Lemongrass pork sausage roll: most savory bite, yummy pork in a flaky roll (7.8/10) + Mango coconut sticky rice scone: tasted like the filling in Chinese custard bun rather than mango coconut sticky rice and scone was dry (7.5/10) Sandwiches + Potato curry croquette: curry flavor with crunchy bits (6.8/10) + Cucumber gochugaru: refreshing crunchy cucumber w super minimal kick (8.8/10) + Chicken peanut satay: savory curry like flavor (8.5/10) Sweets + Orange cardamom shortbread: okay, denser bite (6.5/10) + Pandan sago tart: light filling, nailed the pandan flavor (7.5/10) + Macarons: good chew but flavors were okay, primarily almond jello like (7/10) Teas + 221B. Baker: chocolate truffle notes, was surprised I enjoyed this so much, reminded me of milk tea (8.5/10) + Cabana Boy: amazing! Fruity flavor reminded me of lychee (9.5/10) + Spring Eternal: most disappointed by this one, had this artificial melon flavor (5/10) Overall, super cute and dainty environment and fun menu with great tea selection but I do prefer traditional plain scones with an assortment of curds and butters

What a lovely tearoom! My friend and I tried their fall 2025 prix fixe menu and were impressed with the assortment of finger sandwiches. Our favorites were the cucumber and butter radish (so refreshing!) and the turkey pumpkin butter sandwiches. The savory bites were great too. I would definitely come back to check out another seasonal menu.

Really lovely afternoon tea service. The interior is cozy and welcoming; a place that doesn't shy away from a little self expression and whimsy. The service was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. It's clearly a small creative team working on something they love. When the tea tray came out, it was absolutely bursting with delicious food; savory finger sandwiches, scones still slightly warm from the oven, and teas that were perfectly paired with the meal. I will definitely be back soon and cant wait to recommend Dartealing Lounge to my friends.

We came here for afternoon tea and had a great time. Nice tea selections and the treats were fresh and tasty. We especially enjoyed the scones, they were fantastic!!! It was beautiful inside, very cozy and like a high-class setup. The teas were flavorful and good for beginners, as there was a lot of flavor. Service was attentive, he refilled out pots a lot. Only minuses were that there was not enough food by any means, we left crazy hungry, and it wasn't good for kids, all the tableware was very fragile.

Dartealing Lounge is one of my favorite tearooms in the SF Bay Area. They were offering the new Asian themed menu and that was a pleasant surprise. The menu also included the recommended tea pairing list which was very helpful to select our three for our table. I like all their food but their sandwiches are especially my favorite, always made with layers of deliciousness and so tasty. Presentation is beautiful and attractive. I'm looking forward to the upcoming seasonal menus that were mentioned!!

It is a nice mixed use building like a nice cozy maze to explore the nice layout and architecture of the old print shop. Every experience has been outstanding. The food is consistently delicious. I've enjoyed everything from simple buffet-style meals to elegant prime rib dinners complete with sorbet palate cleansers between courses. They truly offer options for every budget, and you definitely get what you pay for. One of my favorite memories was a New Year's Eve party. After an incredible prime rib dinner and a night of dancing, they surprised everyone just after midnight with a complimentary sandwich-making station to help soak up the alcohol before guests headed home. It was such a thoughtful touch that everyone appreciated. Their Mother's Day and Father's Day brunches are also fantastic. The food is always excellent, and they have plenty of seating for large groups. Even when we've made last-minute plans, they've been incredibly accommodating. The venue itself is another huge plus. The space can be transformed to fit almost any theme. I've attended everything from elegant quinceañeras to fun jungle-themed celebrations, and each event felt completely unique. Their room rental fees are also much more reasonable than many other venues, allowing you to spend more of your budget on decorations--or simply save the money. Parking is free and plentiful, which is a huge convenience for guests. Most importantly, the staff is amazing. Everyone is friendly, professional, and attentive, making every event feel special. I will absolutely continue hosting my family's celebrations at Dominic's Catering and highly recommend them to anyone looking for great food, exceptional service, and an affordable, versatile event venue. Also not worth the price. Cloud matcha was not what I expected but it eventually grew on me and reminded me of mollytea. Ended up tasting pretty decent but not sure I'd get it again at that price point. We also had trouble ordering sushi on the kiosk- ordered at the counter and took a while to get our food. It turned out just okay, unfortunately. I haven't tried anything else so maybe my review is a bit skewed and there may be some food options that are worth trying. Generally, the vibe was pretty good but I'd still seek other options, especially considering our cafeterias have better prices for (sometimes better) food.

He allowed us to come in early at 2:00 PM to set up flowers and told us there was "no rush" to leave, letting our group stay and enjoy a drink before our dinner reservation. The Space is Stunning: We held our ceremony upstairs in a beautiful, dry, and welcoming space featuring a gorgeous mural. It was the perfect backdrop for our 10-person group--intimate, stylish, and full of character. Personal Touch: Carlos even provided his personal cell number for day-of coordination to ensure everything went smoothly. That level of care is rare. Carlos, thank you for your kindness and for helping us make our wedding ceremony so special. You lifted a huge weight off our shoulders, and we can't recommend Marigold enough!

The venue had all the amenities we needed -- including a bar, screen projector, an area for the DJ, and plenty of tables and chairs -- which made it easy to accommodate our guests comfortably.
