I wouldn't recommend it for anyone over the age of 12. The guns aren't broken as others have noted-- instead, the ammo is so utterly bent out of shape that it doesn't stay loaded in the gun. I used a triad and would stand there for 30 seconds at a time trying darts in my gun to find 3 that didn't pop out half way due to damage. Not to mention the refs did absolutely nothing about a few kids that mysteriously were never "out", regardless of the amount of times they were confirmed shot. We just celebrated my sons 6th birthday here!!! It was amazing!!! All the staff was super great and very helpful. We had the pleasure of hanging out with Richard, who is also the owner, as our party captain. You can tell this is his passion. Even the other parents talked about how smooth all the transitions were and how great he was with the kids. The birthday party package covers Everything!!! Pizza, drinks, decorations, candles, goodie bag, even arcade tokens. You pretty much show up with a cake and they take care of the rest. The building itself was very clean, sanitizer stations everywhere. The bathrooms were clean and there is even a bar with a wide arrange of adult beverages. We came on a regular Saturday with another friend, who's also 5, and the owner/manager totally saved the day when he saw tears happening because of the generally intimidating environment the older kids' room created (plussome kids are just a-holes). He moved them over into the room where a birthday party was happening, where the kids were less aggressive and closer to their age, and they had a ball. This place is pretty good. They only have two arenas and one is for balls the other for darts so if you want a party you have to do it with tons of their kids. They let you pick your teams by then after every round they pick some kids to switch because birthday parties are coming in and out. The games are ok but they don't explain them very well and the mic audio is awful. The head of the arena is in this platform up high just yelling at people. The refs do nothing but stand there and they let the other teams just stay I. The whole time but when I didn't even get hit they made me out. I shot a kid 8 times and he still wouldn't leave. Also every single one of the cheap or free guns are broken and cheap. They had several staff members working and I felt like it was very well managed. The facility was clean and spacious. I never felt like we were crammed into the rooms or in the way. My son chose Dart em Up to celebrate his 10th birthday. We had a group of 12 kiddos. The team leader and referees were great interacting with the kids, and making sure everyone was safe and following the rules. We met the owner and he was very friendly and even ran in and played with the kids and wished my son a Happy Birthday. They supplied everything we needed including gift bags we only had to bring the cake. Everything is run in an efficient and customer friendly manner. I took my two boys (6 & 8) here during our visit to Austin. The place is very cool! My boys loved the dart gun selection. There are plenty of places for parents to sit. Clean restrooms. At some point, my youngest got shot and wanted to leave. The owner spotted him and lowered himself to my sons level so they could talk. He helped my son calm down and put a bandanna around my son's neck to help cover his neck! I couldn't believe how caring he was! Later, my oldest got upset, and one of the referees came out and talked to him. He showed him the arcade and my son instantly forgot he was upset. It made a huge difference. This place is a hidden gem. The great thing with Nerf guns is that even young kids can use them safely. We recently hosted a birthday party here and it was a great experience. Their support staff is amazing. They are always there and still non-intrusive. The owner was around and suggested that we go inside and click pictures. For this he brought a set of glasses for us to wear. The arcade area is reasonable but they give you enough coins to play for a long time. They take care of almost everything.
