We used Dash Rooter when we had the very rude surprise of finding out we were on a failing septic and not tied to the sewer as we had thought for the last 15 years. Dash tied us into the sewer and properly abandoned the septic system. Adam was upfront, friendly, focused on safety and doing the job right. He and his team worked quickly, cleanly and safely, pulled all the proper permits and stuck to the estimated quotes which were very fair for the urgency and quality of work. They clearly have the knowledge and equipment to handle much much larger jobs as well but Adam called jobs like this their "bread and butter" and that is how it felt. Dash Plumbing and Rooter is the true definition of customer service. I had Adam come out to my house the same day that I notice water coming out of the sewage line. I assume it was paper towels and roots and that they were simply going to run the snake to clear it out. What I got was more and a better understanding of what is causing the issue, something that previous rooters did not bother explaining. He came out and use a camera to show me where the issue and to what extend the damage that roots have cause, eventually I will need to replace my sewage line soon. This was an apartment unit on the second floor. They had to install a clean out access , cut out stucco, cut out existing cast iron/galvanized drain pipe, reinstall new ABS pipe & install a new heavy duty access panel on exterior wall. Was having problems with my kitchen faucet so I searched trusty ol yelp for plumbers in the area. Dash Plumbing popped up with rave reviews so I gave them a call and it went straight to Adam. I told him what the problem was and he said he would come first thing in the morning and gave me an estimate of what he thought the problem was. He came exactly when he said he would and assessed the problem under my sink (the water pressure regulator needed to be replaced). He explained exactly what he was doing and instructed me on what to look for next time around as well. I also asked him to fix my bathtub faucet, which was a much more challenging task than anticipated due to some corrosion in the pipes. He meticulously worked, made sure to keep the area clean (wearing hospital gown boots as he entered), and he even cleaned the bathtub after he was complete. At the end, I was charged exactly what I was quoted the night before for the parts and labor. I waited a few weeks to write this review to make sure everything was good before commenting. Had the sudden need for an irrigation issue. (Cutting an old buried leaking pipe off, and installing a new hose hookup on the stub) Made the call just before 8am. I had Adam and Robert come out from Dash -- Robert came out first and explained my 1925 plumbing issues better than 3 other plumbers I had before. He managed to get the water flowing but knew exactly what I needed to do next so I wouldn't keep having the same problems. Previous plumbers just took my money and didn't have a clue why the issues kept coming up. Adam then came out with his crew and installed a new main line clean out for a good price and gave me tips so I could fix blockages myself in the future without spending more money. Adam from Dash is a plumbing artist and knows how to install/fix everything. I've been using Dash Plumbing and Rooter for small and large jobs over the years. After purchasing my initial fixer home in 2008, Dash was the company I went with to redo all the plumbing, pipes and fixtures. Upon selling that home recently, Dash came out to do a checkup, and EVERYTHING still works perfectly; Toilets, sinks, showers, tubs - everything. During my sale, I was advised to work with a retrofit compliance company to do my gas shut off valve. The company was recommended by my agent and they charged me $500 for the shut off valve and $95 for the certificate. The certificate was issued, but the Buyers agent wanted it to be permitted by LADBS (department of building and safety). The inspector came to my home and it failed inspection because the firefighter shut off installed was too small (and it needs to be the same size as the pipe. I called the company again, and they wanted to charge me $1000 to change the pipe and purchase the new part! SO, I called Dash to help me alleviate this issue. Dash not only installed the proper piping and shut off valve, but helped me obtain the permit with LADBS. He also saved me hundreds of dollars in the process. I am purchasing a new home, and I was traveling so my new agent recommended we use the sewer company to check the pipes. An entire video was made and it was signed off that there was no issue with the sewer pipes. When Dash came to my new home for the inspection, they reviewed the video and found a serious issue with the way the piping went to the street. Dash proceeded to make their own sewer video to showcase this major sewer issue and I was able to save $5,000 with my seller!! I had a pipe burst connected to my sprinkler system that wouldn't stop gushing water even with the main water to the house shut off. My regular plumber was busy and couldn't come out until the next day, so I turned to YELP. The owner answered the phone right away and understood the urgency of my situation. He was on another job, but had one of his employees take over and was at my house in about an hour. He looked at the problem, then gave me three options to fix it which he explained very clearly. I chose the middle of the road. He got the parts and it was fixed relatively quickly. The work looks professional and he left the old parts that he removed so that I could see how eroded they were. I was at work during the whole job, but a friend was there for me. I didn't have time to compare prices, but I think he was reasonable. He does charge for estimates, which I don't like because it leaves the customer stuck with paying and not having the problem fixed or accepting the estimate. But, in my experience that is normal industry practice. Overall, I am very happy with the services that I received and would recommend this company. read more

A few days ago, i discovered that i wasn't getting any hot water in my house so i guessed it was something to do with my water heater. I came to Yelp to find a plumber. That led me to Dash Plumbing because of 5 star review rating average, lots of good reviews, and then, what i read in the reviews, it sounded good, especially the availability, that had been a major problem for me with the previous guy i had used. i could see people had good experiences with these stressful kinds of situations. That's what i was looking for. I saw that the company information said their hours were 24/7. This was at night that i was looking at Yelp, probably about 9pm or so. I decided to call, and if i got an answering machine, i would leave a message and expect to get a call back the next day. Adan answered the phone. I told him what was happening and he said he could come over the following day. After i hung up the phone, i felt cheered up. I was feeling stressed about not having hot water and not having a solution, until i talked to him. Adan came on time the next day. He checked my water heater, he tried to light the pilot but it wouldn't light. Before he came i had read up about it a little using google and he said what it said on the page i was reading, it was probably the transcouple or something like that, they said that was the most common problem on the page. He presented detailed information about the condition of my water heater. It was 10 years old and that was about the age when things start wearing out on them, and he detailed the options, repair or replace, the reasons for and against each option, and the price estimates. i was not pressured toward any option, i was just given information, and when i asked questions, i was given clear patient answers. I thought about whether to replace the water heater at this time and decided to go with the repair instead, for current financial reasons, realizing i am taking a chance that something else may go wrong on the water heater because of its age. i gave it careful thought and decided i would be able to absorb the hit if another repair was needed and i could get a new water heater at that time. Adan needed to go to a supplier for the part. He learned at the supplier that he couldn't just replace the transcouple but needed to replace the whole assembly, the part wasn't sold separately and he called to tell me the price increase above the original estimate, and i was OK with it, it seemed reasonable and still worth the investment. He returned and went to work, he methodically performed the repair, as well as cleaning out lint. He explained various things to me about maintaining a water heater. He gave me the impression of someone who likes people and likes being able to help them and put them at ease as much as possible, knowing how stressful it can be. I enjoyed the way this service went and had a good feeling after he left, of accomplishment and the relief of putting the fear and stress behind me, and enjoying my nice hot water more than usual. I won't hesitate to call Dash for other plumbing needs, including replacing my water heater. I can see that Adan is honest and is a good communicator, has been repairing them and doing plumbing for 20 years and is ready to share useful helpful knowledge. He was professional. He called the next day to check and see if the water heater was OK. It was. It's been working great. Mission accomplished. When he was here, i also asked him a question about my sewer because my neighbor had told me that he had to have major work on his which cost him $40,000, and that the people that repaired it told him all the houses on my street would need that work eventually. Dash Plumbing was terrific from start to finish! I got in touch with Adam about 3 plumbing issues a few days before the 4th of July holiday, and he said he could come out on Saturday -- i.e., the 5th of July -- even though most folks were closed that day! Once I explained our known issues, he asked if I could send him a couple of pictures just to make sure we were on the same page, and to ensure that he could come prepared to replace the things that needed replacing. When Saturday rolled around, they arrived on time, and took care of everything we asked for, quickly and efficiently. Then, in the process of checking their work, they identified a few additional issues we hadn't known about. One thing Adam noticed as soon as he turned on the water at our kitchen sink is that the water pressure feeding into our house was way too high. Turns out, unbeknownst to us, our water pressure reducing valve had broken. Since they had the needed part on their truck, we asked them to go ahead and replace it, and they took care of it in about 15 minutes. The other issue they showed us involved roots is our sewage line, which we will likely have them come back to take care of later this summer. Great company, excellent customer service, and a job very well done! They take their time to explain what the problem is and what needs to be done. Then they get the job finished quickly and clean up nicely. I live in a condo complex where, in order to make any repairs, they had to shut off the water to the other units. Knowing this, they worked quickly and made a repair within minutes allowing the water to be turned back on to the other units and then they were able to continue working on the other issues. They replaced my leaky bathroom faucet and two stop valves. They even went above and beyond by replacing a broken shower knob that I had with an extra one they had in their truck! I have been meaning to write this review for a while. It's been almost 3 years since Adam / Dash repaired / replaced my sewer line - a big job - and it still works perfectly with zero issues, so I think that makes this a stronger review than someone who just got something fixed yesterday. The first thing to know is that Dash is a full service plumber and sewer service contractor, not just a rooter guy. Adam does everything from small home repairs to giant commercial sewer projects. He has an iPad full of thousands of photos from hundreds of jobs he's done, and he can use those to illustrate what is going on in your situation, which is very helpful. He is also the boss, so he can negotiate with you and come to a win-win situation in the way that many other plumbers and contractors can't. This all started when my house's plumbing backed up. I called one of the major rooter companies from a coupon. They sent a guy who failed to clear the problem and wanted to charge me over $1200 to use his water-jet rooter machine. He was trying to rip me off, and he wasn't even able to clear the drain anyway, even with his "jetter". I got rid of those con artists and called Dash! Adam came over with his super-powerful truck-mounted jetter, offered to do it for $400, zero charge if he couldn't get it cleared, and zero charge if I hired him to do the work to fix the underlying problem. He used his drain camera (for free) to show me the problem (tree roots had busted into my house's sewer line and smashed up the old clay pipe). He was then able to use his jetter to clear the obstruction and repeatedly checked with his camera and jetted more until it was cleared well enough that it would last for several weeks if necessary until I could get around to having the pipe fixed / replaced. Insurance generally doesn't cover sewer lines or pipes, but in this case, the damage was caused by a city-owned tree, not my own tree, and Adam patiently worked with me to get me the quotes that the insurance company needed to pay for a significant amount of the work! That was huge! Kudos also to Amica insurance! There was the option of "lining" the existing pipes (cheaper, but with issues) or replacing all the clay pipe with a new unbreakable plastic pipe using the pipe bursting method (which costs more but comes with a *very* long guarantee). Since the insurance money helped, I decided to go with the permanent fix. Dash has a lot of expertise in excavation and laying sewer pipe. Liners are not really their specialty / preference, but they will do it for people who need a 3-10 year fix and can't afford the higher price of replacing the old pipe. Adam and his crew of diggers were courteous, professional, and cordial. They were happy to show what they were doing and explain how it all works while they dug over 10 feet down. They made sure that the drains kept working during the few days of work that the job took, except for the few hours when the pipes were apart. He handled the city permit (this job required excavation into the sewer main in the street and encasing part of the repair in concrete) and satisfied the inspector. He cleaned up everything to leave things nicely when the job way done. Overall, he did a great job and I felt like I was treated fairly and like a valued customer (not like just a job or someone to rip off like that other place tried to do). I am a very picky / particular / technical person, so from me this review is VERY high praise :) I would absolutely call Dash again if I had a plumbing problem. read more

I attempted a DIY project, but was quickly frustrated with I had a problem with the length of a pipe I purchased from Home Depot. I called and spoke with Adam - it's been stormy with torrential rains, making it nearly impossible to get a same day appointment. We called on Adam and Dash to take care of a really big issue - our septic tank failed and we needed to connect to the city sewer line. It was not an easy process to get the permits, and we are on a hillside so a lot of contractors weren't too interested in the work. Adam and his team were very helpful throughout the whole process, and the quality of their work was impeccable. Adam was on our jobsite for almost 12 hours some days, and he was careful to leave our yard the way he found it. We had a few plumbing issues in our new house that our old plumber wasn't fixing, and Adam was able to get us up and running immediately. We had a major plumbing issue at our house where main sewer line connecting to city's line had to be replaced. We got an estimate from another company which was way too high because the other company did not even have a license to dig on the street. Yes, you need to have a separate license, not just regular plumbing license when it comes to digging on the city's street. I'm so glad I was introduced to Adam and his team before I start replacing my main sewer line. While these are flattering comments, it's difficult to assess a contractor and compare them to thousands of others who receive the same praise. Reviewers need to see something convincing to differentiate a company from others. Well, I'll tell you what I saw that really got my attention dialed in to Dash Plumbing & Rooter: 81 photos of his work on Yelp. If you notice, many of them are excavation photos of him and his crew performing large-scale, complex and dangerous work. You don't have to be a genius to figure out that this type of work takes serious know-how! Just ask yourself how many other plumbers are licensed to do that type of work. I'm guessing not many. That was enough visual evidence to give Adam of Dash Plumbing & Rooter a phone call. Adam lived up to what I read on other reviews. Honor, integrity, pride are the words that come to mind when I think of Adam's customer-is-everything vibe that I got from him. I leave you with three takeaways from this review: 1) He figured out the solution very quickly. 2) He carefully and thoroughly performed the work, making sure it was done right. And made the place look like he was never even there with no sign of mess. 3) After he fixed the problem I called about, he noticed a tiny slow leak from my toilet (I knew about the leak and was planning to fix it myself) and just fixed it...then took a look inside the tank to make adjustments for greater efficient use of water...and I still ended up paying far, far, far less than what was quoted on the phone. Dash Plumbing is one of the best companies I was lucky to find in time of need. While we were extensively remodeling our home, we encountered a major sewage issue that needed to be fixed immediately. We called a major plumbing company who came over and said that it is a big job and wanted obscene amount of money to fix it but only if we agree to it right away. When we said that we will not agree to that, they cut their quote by half and than by half again. By then we knew that we are not dealing with a reputable company and asked our contractor for help. My contractor told us about Dash Plumbing and it's manager Adam Deniz. Adam is the young man who knows his job and is a contractor not only for major projects for major cities but also for many plumbers who are not qualified to the the complex and extensive sewage lines work. Adam quoted us a firm reasonable price and performed his work to perfection and on time. His crew was professionals who worked hard and were there as long as it took.
