Super Loud Place, Good Pool Tables, Decent Staff... We killed an hour and a half here playing pool and snaking while we waited to see a movie... They have good pool tables, but you really need to search for a straight pool cue! lol... They have a good menu of snacks to partake in... I liked the Brownie Tower, I wished it was a bit larger.... Staff was pretty decent, not mind blowing, but 3.5 stars out of 5... Seems like a pretty loud and chaotic place for me, I am probably too old for this environment... Having been to a few D&B in Florida I found this one a little under par. BUT it is pretty legit for Alaska standards Not a huge fan of the set up. When you walk upstairs you have to walk through all the chaos to get to the restaurant part. I'm sure this is a tactic to get more people to play games or something. We split an appetizer of nachos. Delicious! I definitely recommend them. Service was decent. It's an awkward set up. Restaurant is seat yourself though you'd never really know that. Bathrooms are in the way back by the bathroom. Check there website. When I logged on to yelp I saw a "buy $20 in coins get a free $20 in coins" coupon. That was a nice surprise! The games are a lot of fun and reminded me of being a kiddo again. Well, I ended up eating here. Once I discovered that Dave and Buster's is the only local purveyor of the highly-acclaimed "Impossible Burger", I just had to. What is the Impossible Burger? It's a plant-derived meat substitute that's stealing headlines as the closest approximation to the real thing. My expectations were high. To cut it short, this burger lived up to the hype. You have to taste it to believe just how amazing it is. The winning ingredient here is the texture of the patty. And I cannot describe how much umami they pack in. The rest of the burger was fine, although the bun tasted somewhat stale. Vegetarians and vegans alike will be amazed at just how flavorful this burger was. I would gladly convert if my diet consisted entirely of these burgers. Someday, Impossible Foods products will be lining store shelves and there'll be no more reason to head over to Dave and Buster's to try this exclusive item. But until then, you might as well order a beer tube and play a few games while you get to experience one of the greatest breakthroughs in food science. read more

Slow food service. Took an hour for 3 salads. After receiving our salads, they gave the wrong dressing and it took another 15mins to try and get some salad dressing from another wait staff.. Staff opened the doors for us right when we got there (with a stroller, I appreciate this) and they were nice and friendly and accommodating the whole time we were there (about two hours). Because we went during school hours it was not packed at all. First we ate, bought an eat and play deal which is a good deal if you plan on doing both. Our server (Carmen) answered all of our questions and even showed us the party room which you can rent for $150 for 3 hours. Not a bad deal and is comparable to other kids birthday places. But their party room is nicer than most we've seen. The food was good and service was really fast. Again, this place being brand new I'd recommend going during school hours. My husband had shrimp and chicken Alfredo Mac and cheese which was delicious and I had pizza pretzel pieces. The game attendants were super friendly and made sure we didn't lose out on any tickets (they load directly to your card). The games are all brand new and they have a big variety of games. My favorite is the giant connect 4. The redemption part is easy too- they have several places to insert your card to check tickets and there are tons of prizes I'd actually choose from. We will be back, actually probably later today after I pick up my son from school. read more

Dave and a total "Buster".... This place is only getting one star. Why? Because it has video games, my kids had fun. There is this key thing in the food and beverage industry, it's called customer service. Well we experienced zero, Z.E.R.O. There was this person who was supposed to be the "waiter" for our large table. Well, they failed are almost every item under their job description. It probably didn't help that he was high as a kite. I mean he could have been just randomly sweating, inattentive, awkward, and had a weak bladder, but I still think he was high. Some highlights are as follows: Charged for two Sprites, only received one. 2 hours later. Need a reminder to even have the one delivered. One of our table ordered a meal, it never showed and was never even added to the ticket. This "resturant" has the tablets that the "waiter" takes to the table with them. There was even an awkward conversation about the item being order, yet it never made it into the tablet. Three shots of Tequila took 45 minutes and a reminder that we ordered them. The "waiter" awkwardly sat down, joined our group and started doing paperwork. In the middle of the meal and commented about his own perspiration problem. Dropped tickets on the table that were not ours. Dropped new tickets after every item was ordered. Waiter only had two tables, so being "slammed" is null and void. Order truffle fries, yet was served chicken parmesan. "Waiter" commented "ah that was my bad" and walked off when this was brought up. It was bad, real bad. Some of the worst, if not the absolute worst service we have ever experienced. The game staff and front desk people were great. I think the highlight of this whole experience is the fact that as I type this review, it says "this review is looking pretty epic! nice" just below where I am typing... Our server Kiki was the only highlight to my whole dinning experience. The food was all sorts of fucked up! The manger was useless and incompetent, one of the bartenders decided to say some very disrespectful stuff and when I approached him on it apologized. So we thought we'd kill two birds with one stone and have a fun outing and grab food, big mistake on the food part. First let me start by saying the beer menu is horrible. A place like anchorage and all the craft beers made and they have a few local selections and the rest domestic mop water. So we ordered an app of pepperoni pretzel, gross! Soggy and no taste. Then our order came out, I had the pulled pork sliders with ribs. The sliders were just ok, not very good. I didn't finish them. The ribs were disgusting. I tried to eat one and couldn't. Slimy with a bad after taste. I honestly think they were bad ribs, tasted ruined. My kid had the boneless wings and fries and said they were just ok too. I spoke to the manager about the food, she was apologetic but that's where it ended. Not sure why I expected to get a decent meal here, but we left to go get something edible....after paying $50 for the garbage served here. Honestly PASS.... this place is over rated, mediocre and over priced. I always get the same thing, the steak salad because it's safe. I would never freely come how're, but for work events, it's kind of a mandatory event... They did not follow up on the status of our order after we asked the first time. We received our food order at 9:00 pm. We made the mistake and order the food through their online system. So I've been here a couple times with friends and coworkers, and I've always enjoyed myself. Great place to catch a sports game after work with some co-workers (some of mine are diehard hockey fans). The food is hit-or-miss, I personally like the Sliders and the Cheese Curds, but a lot of the food is fairly mediocre. The drinks are more of a fashion thing than an alcohol thing, but I love the Backwoods Blueberry Lemonade (contains vodka and moonshine). The issue here is that the service is pretty poor. The servers are always nice, but it takes on average around 15 minutes to get a chance to order, 20+ to get your drinks, then 50+ to get your food, and that's the low times. I'm not sure if the restaurant portion is understaffed or what, but if I hadn't been hanging out with great friends, I would be more annoyed. The games are pretty good as well, with a breadth of genres from a Luigi's Mansion game, to a Jurassic Park shooter and most things in between. There are some claw games if that's your jam, and some old style carnival games as well. The ticket-to-game ratio is fair, so you get plenty of tickets for what you play. On top of that, it doesn't take that many tickets to get some really cool things at the Prize Corner. I love that I can get a giant plushie or a trending card game for fairly cheap (in tickets). Security and safety is not a concern either. There are always officers patrolling the floor discretely, which I appreciate later in the night. The door security are also very accommodating, and are willing to walk you to your ride if you've been drinking. Overall, if you are looking for a fun get together with friends for some drinks, apps, and games, this is a good place for it. I personally would recommend coming in later in the night, closer to the 21+ time, to avoid when parents bring children far too young in while they play, if you are in for the games and food. If you are there to catch a game, just ask to be seated in the back area, as it has bigger tvs, the service seems to be faster, and it is a little quieter. read more

Service has been consistently slow, inattentive, and lacking some basics. Came as a large group. Had pre-reserved 2 reservations for parties of 10 so a total of 20 guests. We were seated in the bar area at 3 high tops and 1 long table. Around us were several empty booths. Our guests were a mix of adults and children. One family of 2 adults and 3 kids showed up to our group and sat at one of the empty booths near us made for 4. They were part of our party and the area was becoming cramped. They did not know the table was not part of our reservation. A team member asked them to move. We were ordering drinks and meals and appetizers. We were never offered the additional table for space and it remained empty during our entire stay. Bar and food service was extremely slow (which isn't the first time here). I had to ask 4 times for the waitress to bring a kids milk. After my child finished eating, we were told there was no milk after all and we weren't offered a substitute. Our group wasn't out of control or rude or drunk. We just wanted to celebrate together and let the kids go play games. This is one of now 4-5 times we have dined here and been disappointed with the service level. As an example, my husbands meal came out as the wrong order (they delivered an appetizer dip in stead of the sandwich he ordered). Rather than leave the appetizer as a complimentary dish, they whisked it away without asking after it had already been touched by the group and would have to be tossed anyways. We sat at the bar to watch TV while waiting for food, and even played a game before eating. I had a lot of fun, but don't think it will be part of my fun-time repertoire just maybe a sometime thing. The food was okay but not great, and games were a bit expensive. Great service at the bar. I paid $23 for 120 tokens, but with many games being 9.5 tokens that's like 12 games, or about $2/game. Pretty good. Got to the party late so I only ended up grabbing dessert but they have a wide variety of foods. Ranting from finger food to really beefed up burger. It all screams American food, but nothing we got was ever bad. I nibbled a bit of my brother's nachos and they were pretty good. Loaded, and I mean loaded nachos. For the dessert we picked the churros and basically brownies, yummm! We didn't leave a single piece when we were done. So, my children finally broke me down and I gave in to taking them for a afternoon out with the family. I have to tell you, that Alaska continues to disappoint me with its execution of national chains. The service was shoddy at best. The staff seemed unmotivated and had no sense of urgency or concern for customer needs. During the entire meal I saw our server once. No drink refills and had to track her down for our check even though our meal had been completed and the plates were empty for over 30 minutes. The food itself, was nothing notable and I certainly was disappointed with the cost. Very overpriced for the quality and the amount of food. They definitely have a lot of work ahead of them to iron out their systems. Never heard of a bar their size only allowing a few individuals to cash you out. So after you order your drink from the bartender, they take your card right away, but they can't run it? After you receive your drink you have to flag someone else down to cash you out. It's ridiculous and a waste of time. We spent like 30 mins just to order a pay for one round of drinks. They were also out of a lot of things for drinks. Not sure why they wouldn't overstock for opening weekend. As for the food, it took 40mins for them to get it out to us. I asked for medium rare for my steak and it came out burnt and dried out. Not sure why they would serve it to me like that. But it was opening weekend so I wasn't trying to complain and send it back. Overall, they have potential to be great. I can't even really give this place one star. We got up and left. We were seated and sat for 10-15 minutes. We were looking at menus and talking to the kids about what they wanted- no big deal. During this time nobody came to get drink orders or greet us. About 5-10 minutes after that (20 or so minutes total after we sat down) we flagged someone down. He said he'd "send someone right over". Three or four minutes later a waiter came over. Very nice, very confused, to get drink orders. Another 5+ minutes passed and we saw both the guy we flagged down and the waiter walk past numerous time. At this point, 30ish minutes in with no drink or our food order taken, we gave up and left. There were at least 5 waiters on the floor, only half the table were seated. Maybe 10-12 tables total? We had a fun time playing games though! Our son was visiting and we decided to try out Dave & Busters this spring. It was late on a Friday afternoon when we got there. We decided we wanted drinks and dinner before playing and unfortunately the service was horrid! When asking the server what she recommended she cringed and said "I don't like the food here!" After the three of us were unable to not look shocked and confused, she proceeded to try to back pedal a little bit by telling us what items were popular. We ordered three adult libations, which two of them were less than mediocre. My son had a rum & coke, you can't really go wrong with that. Two mixed drinks that were specialties were just downright horrible. Even mentioning how bad one of them specifically was, she didn't seem phased nor offering to remove it from the tab or remake it. The food that came out was decent, nothing to rave about but typical chain restaurant fare. We have been to DB's down in the lower 48 and had an awesome meal, killer margaritas and were able to take our drinks into the game area. Nope, not in Anchorage. No adult beverages outside of the dining area. By no means were we looking to get drunk, but we were looking forward to having a good time with our son that had just turned 21 a few months prior. The game room was fun, plenty of games to play as a group of 2-4 which was fun! We really enjoyed that. It was nice to have a single game card to use. We were there for a few hours, including dinner. You were able tell that it was a Friday night around 7pm and it got much busier, making it more difficult to get on a game. The arcade was alright, nothing better than any other arcade I've ever been to, but the food service was absolutely horrible! We got there at noon on a weekday so it wasn't very busy (all the servers were standing in a group texting), yet we still didn't get our drinks until 12:45 (they were out of pretty much every drink we ordered). Then we were finally able to order our food around 1:15, and didn't see any of it until close to 3:00.They got my order wrong twice (ordered the shrimp/steak pasta), didn't receive the correct dish until close to 4:00 (no refunds, no discounts, just excuses). While D&B is best known for being a fun place to spend a night out. I would avoid eating there altogether. The food is sub par at best, the wait staff is barely there, the kitchen didn't even know what kind of lettuce was on the nachos, which was wilted romaine covered in Hormel chilli. All this and they are priced as if they serve gourmet delacasies. Bottom line, go, play, drink. Just eat elsewhere. read more

Giving one star is generous. I had to order online just to get my food under an hour later than ordering. Worst service from the waitresses they're slow every single time. If you want to eat here please keep in mind ordering anything takes an hour or longer and they're rude. I'll post this when we're finally served. Shaun is the best server in Anchorage. Legit service. He was super attentive, always knew what you wanted before you wanted it, and just over all personable. He spent time talking to us and getting us to feel comfortable. He should teach servers how to be a server. Actually coming back on Thursday because of service like his, and this other female (I haven't caught her name) but she's always making sure we are okay in between Shaun coming over to fill us up! Let me start by saying the actual "gaming" part of the experience is fun. While the location is fairly small, there are quite a few games there, including some of my favorites such as Mario Kart, Luigi's Mansion, and Star Wars. I was disappointed to see that the new Halo game was not yet added, but it's a bit early in the summer - oh well. With that being said, the dining experience I had was very disappointing. I came here with my wife, my sister and her husband. It was open seating so we picked a booth near the back. After sitting down, it took over twenty five minutes and my brother-in-law telling a waitress about our table before someone came to wait on us. After ordering our drinks, appetizer, and dinner, it took another fifteen minutes before we finally got our drinks. To say we were already disappointed is putting it lightly. Another forty five minutes later, we got our appetizer and half of our dinner order. The appetizer - apart from it not arriving before the dinner - was cold as was the food that was brought to our table. One of the orders was wrong and had to be returned and I never received my order. I had to tell our waitress I was still waiting on my order, to which she responded by retaking my order and asking how I wanted my steak done. Didn't we do this already?? Getting fed up with the constant waiting and disappointment, I told the waitress to cancel the two orders we were still waiting on and to bring us our check. To add salt to the wound, our waitress split our checks incorrectly - putting all the drinks on one order and not splitting the appetizer between our two groups of two. While the waitress was friendly, she acted totally unaware of the poor dining experience. When I complained, she was not at all apologetic and was totally baffled by my complaint. She wasn't at all rude, just somewhat of an airhead; not at all situationally aware. The gaming experience is what keeps me from giving this Dave and Busters a one-star rating. The dining experience is trash and needs a strong manager to keep the wait staff in check and the customers happy. I hope this place gets its act together as I really like other Dave and Busters that I have visited. In the end, I would recommend coming for the gaming experience.
