I hadn't been to Dave & Buster's in ages, and was skeptical about what I was to find. I had a $15 gift card I had to deplete so I figured, what the heck, let's go have a burger and watch some sports. I was pleasantly surprised, it was exactly how I remembered it. Clean atmosphere, reminded me of being in Vegas, all the lights, sounds and games. I sat at the bar, ordered a few beers and the Black and Bleu Burger, boy oh boy, that was one delicious 1/2 lb burger. Plenty of food, and very well prepped and cooked. Service was great, the bartender took care of me. I then proceeded to walk around and play a few games, loved it. Visited the racecar section, raced a few races. Then being "old" now, I found the corner that had legacy games like Centipede, Donkey Kong, and Pacman, man did that bring back some memories, I played for a while with a smile, bringing back my youth. All their games are in great condition, plenty of room to move around, bar area and seating was nice, food was superb, wasn't too loud or rowdy, just had a nice flow to the night. So this was my first exposure to D&B and I gotta say...not impressed. Billed as an "adult arcade" I guess I was expecting...more? I had dinner in the dining area, and though the fare is priced as you might expect, it is not anything mind blowing. Our waitress was great though and appeased our multi-photo pop requests. The arcade was a lil disappointing in that you really don't get much bang for your buck. $14 ($10 PowerPlayCard+$2 Super Charge+$2 Activation Fee) got me about 7 plays...so u are looking at about $2/game. The skew-ballesque horse race and 4-player air hockey were really the only two games that wow-ed me. As for tickets and their redemption, it is the "it's cheaper just to buy it" scenario you see at any other arcade. I spent $30+ for 3hrs of food & entertainment...I just wish we would have come during their eat, play, win combo hrs for $16.99. read more

We've been to many different Dave & Buster's in the Chicago and around the Chicago suburbs so we know what to expect when it comes to Dave & Busters. The Austin Texas is a little different from the cities and the one in Addison IL. For one the security guy says they don't card anyone if they aren't at the bar. So they let kids and families stay there all day and night to play games. Another thing that is different at this Dave and Buster is that they have a cleaning lady attendant for the restrooms. That is good because all the other Dave & Busters especially the one in Chicago area is nasty restrooms. So this was very nice to have clean restrooms. It was fun to play there my husband and I had fun splurging on games and whatnot to get points for prizes to bring home to our kiddies. read more

The games are really cool, just expensive. I'd come here again for the games and beer but not food. Dining: I would not eat here again. For the price, I would expect food with more flavor or bigger portions, but that wasn't the case. In addition our service was so awful. We came on the night of the NBA draft and there was a separate section for a watch party nearby. Even still (knowing it's a big night in sports and they had a large party booked) the manager eventually told us that the kitchen was understaffed and food wait times are doubled. This was AFTER we had been waiting 60+ minutes for our food. The waiter took 10-15 min just to bring us water, another 15 min for beers. The waiter never apologized or explained why the wait was so long. We could never even find him to ask. The whole dining experience was just so disappointing. We have always loved Dave and Busters and will always go. I took my two 16 year olds yesterday and they had a blast! My only gripe is this super confusing new system for food and game play. Back in the day you just walked in and bought a card from a person or machine and got to playing. Also you would sit at the bar and/or the dining area and order food and then eat. Now you sit first and then are asked by the wait staff to order the game card through them (prices were written on a sloppily written little card) but you have to scan a qr code and order your food and pay on line and of course tip before service is experienced! Yet the waitress was able to take my money for the game card?? Also if you want more food or drink you have to order online and tip again! This doesn't seem too well though out. I'm all for progress but this ain't it. You should be able to order with a person and tip after you are done dining. Everyone was very nice and helpful and the food and drinks were great! read more

We came here as a group of 4 to watch the UT basketball game. The setup is great but more importantly our server, Eric, is by far the best server I've ever had. I hope he makes a killing here because he was honest about certain menu items, gave his recommendations, and was easy to talk to. 5 star service and think he deserves a raise if he hasn't gotten one already! read more

Only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating is because it gets hotter then fish grease in there when you're playing games and grubbing. Other then that, the place is great, a lot of fun and I love their food. Open seating at the bar and you can order food from the menu also. The games are always fun to play and compete in. I've always liked Dave and Busters, but not after the experience I had in the restaurant this weekend. We went to the dining room to the left just as you walk in, and it may be the worst service I've ever had in my life. The host was rude to my wife, and the waiter was horrible. I felt like we were inconveniencing them by being their and requiring them to work. The waiter was very unfriendly and slow. Never even took our menus after we ordered. Lastly, the food wasn't great. Maybe it was okay, but just hard to enjoy when the staff acts like they're annoyed by your presence. The Patron margarita was good. I'll probably still come for the drinks, appetizers, and games, but that's about it. read more

I haven't been here in so long, I got a couple power cards from a buddy so decided to take the little sister and nephew. We had a blast, cool games, a little pricey but comparable to other arcades. We won a ton of tickets. Really enjoyed our time. The reason for the 3 stars, is the place smells really bad, like BO. Everywhere, it wasn't anyone there in particular, it was like the building it self needs a deep clean. We will return, next time will rub some cologne under our noses lol. read more

Upon entry you're greeted by friendly professional staff, it ends there for the most part, the wait staff is rude, unapologetic and rude. The management make up excuses for their behavior.I would give an overall 5star to my bartender, she was very attentive to my party needs and request. Management did apologize for the rude staff, it doesn't seem like they even cared. I will definitely return to the bar for ordering food ,drinks and just go and play the games. All I can say is that I felt that we were in the Twilight Zone here tonight. We were told at the front to download the app for gaming and to seat ourselves for dinner (seemed weird thinking of making sure all servers are getting customers dispersed evenly). Well, it made sense once we sat down because we literally have not seen our server in the 45 minutes we've been seated. You scan the QR code and order digitally for everything-drinks, apps, entrees. I at least expected for the person to come over to greet us. The appetizer took about 30 minutes to come out, drinks another 15 minutes. Finally, we had to ask for napkins from the food runner because there's none at the table and no one coming by to check up on us. The entire experience, as I said previously, was very bizarre. Why tell the server's name on the app if they don't engage at all? Food was okay. Truffle fries were drenched in big chunks of garlic, which was good at first but got overwhelming. I came here with some friends after work for some food and games on a Friday night. Although I didn't order any food my self, I tried everyone else's at the table. Over all, it all tasted good. Nothing really stood out but it tasted fresh and came out quickly. We also ordered two beer towers which were great. They stayed cold the entire meal. After the food, we went out to the games and played around for a couple hours. Its a ton of fun to play the games that allow you to challenge all of your friends. Some of these games include horse racing, car racing, 4 person air hockey, and 4 person pac man. I am not big on the shooting games but it was a fun night with some co workers. read more

I have been to Dave and Busters many times in my life but I haven't been there for several years. I decided to bring my employees for a fun dinner, drinks and game night. There were about 14 of us and they brought our food out one plate at a time spread out over about 30-45 minutes. Folks were done eating before others were even served. No apologies, no explanation. The food was good it was just weird that they did it that way. As a result dinner took about 2 hours for everyone to get their food and finish. I didn't complain, I even tipped the waiter a nice tip. After dinner we moved over to the bar area and I ordered drinks for my guys, the bartender asked me for ID, I am 61 years old and look every bit of it. I thought he was joking and made a joke back but he was actually serious and wouldn't serve me until I showed it to him. I couldn't believe it and felt really disrespected by this twenty something kid. I then went to the bathroom and it was a filthy mess. I remember going to Dave & Busters in Dallas back in the 80's and early 90's and it was kind of upscale, the service was always excellent and it was packed every night. There weren't many customers there at all last night, I thought that was odd when I first got there, now I understand. In Dave & Busters parking lot on Research Blvd and our car window was smashed and all our items stolen (at 2pm on a bright and sunny day). Police officer came to fingerprint the car and stated she's at this location all the time to deal with this and also at the hotels on the other side of the block. So please be careful when parking at this location. And don't expect any help from the Dave & Busters staff. They don't even know who's the cameras belong to right next to their logo. Do not go to this Dave&Buster they will steal your money. The General manager and his manger won't do anything but kick you out. So I had a game card for over a year we had money to play videos games and the card gave us a error code see the manager so I go and see the mangers and told them what was going on with that card that wasn't working so the manger was like let me see what's the issue he goes and takes my game card with him and he's like there's nothing wrong with the card so I said here I show you. We swipe the card and same error code he's like when did y'all purchase this card I said we've been having the game card over a year now. So he's like let me go and see what's the problem so we waited over 20min he comes back and says oh this card doesn't exist I was like you just told me there was nothing wrong with the card. Then he's like I this point I don't know what to do I was like what do you mean I had money a tickets there. And he's like here I show you that the card was purchased today. So he hands me the paperwork that said that the card was purchased today and I said no you're wrong. He goes to the back again and prints a history of the card and I laugh and I said look at the time and year he's like exactly it's today date I yes but the wrong year so you guys are giving me the wrong information so he laughs at me again a said a you stupid or what. I said don't call me stupid I'm just trying to prove y'all wrong that you guys are making that paperwork seem like todays date and wrong year and he's like I can't do nothing. I'm already mad because they basically stole my money and Coupons. So the GM comes after I'm trying to talk to him and he's like you need to get the F***k out of here I said I'm not leaving to you guys fix my problem y'all stole my money. He laughs at me and he's like you need to f***king leave . Horrible service. During a fight night they lack waiters to tend to all the tables. Tables empty and dirty due to lack of workers and they don't even pay attention to their tables. Gone are the days that Dave and Buster's had a bowling alley, D&B Downs horse race game, Murder Mystery Theater, the best, 9 foot billiard tables, shuffle board and the BEST scratch-made food. It was a classy place, with mahogany paneled walls, self propelled "steampunk" ceiling fans and the yellow brick road that lead to the Midway. Fast forward 20 years to today; No more billiards tables or shuffleboard, a million flat screen televisions on every wall, watered down drinks and an ever-changing, less than mediocre menu. No more Murder Mystery dinner theater, and the whole vibe has changed to a "club" atmosphere. If it wasn't for the games, I probably wouldn't step foot in this place, but for nostalgia's sake, I always give it a chance, thus my four-star review. read more

This used to be mine and my friends' favorite place to watch UFC fights. Early 2017, they began renovating the place to revamp the bar and create a very nice sport lounge lower floor and bar area. Unfortunately, someone screwed up the audio wiring setup and even after 6 months the multitude of speakers above the sport lounge does NOT work for any of the screens playing your sporting event. You can be assured the pop music and table availability announcements do come in loud and clear, but the sport event you came to watch will be barely audible. It's been a good run, but I'll be finding a new venue and recommending others to do the same. read more

I came here on Wednesday with a few friends for their happy hour and, at first, was unpleasantly surprised by the slow service and difficulty that our waitress had with getting our orders put in and drinks brought out. However, they got us another waiter and he was friendly, funny, quick, and really made us feel like we were taken care of. I had a couple traditional mojitos that were really tasty and nachos that were OKAY, but filling enough. The only thing I would ask them to change is to put prices in their menus for drinks (there were none) and have a separate menu for happy hour that lists what the prices are for things during that time. Based on service, wide availability of seating, and lively atmosphere, I'd give this place an 8.5/ 10. read more
