We had our work 20-7 Kick Off party here and it was a blast. We had a large room with a buffet and so many waitstaff running around, my drink was never empty. The buffet was tacos and they were stupid delicious and way better than I was expecting from a glorified Chuck E. Cheese's. The brownies changed my life and I am now a better person, caring and kind. I don't have much to say about the games, I played a couple on my way back from the bathroom to the bar but there are an overwhelming number of options so do with that what you will. If I could award as "zero" rating, I would. Service was abysmal at best and went downhill from there. Food order (two burgers) was ordered online through their app because the wait staff was "too busy" to take our order. The food still took over an hour to get to the table. Soft drink refills never arrived... "I'm not your waiter, you have to find your waiter," "I'm only the busser, you have to find your waiter," "I only deliver bar drinks, you have to find your waiter," "Not my table, you have to find your waiter," "This is my table, but you should know that we're very busy tonight," variations on a theme repeated for 3-1/2 hours. Never did get the soda refills, or dessert. Payment and tip required in advance. Here's a hint: Increase staffing when you know it will be busy. Won't be a problem because we will not be back and will relate our experience to any- and everyone so they benefit from our terrible experience. read more

The games are fun, but they have really gotten expensive. You can drop $20 on games before you finish your first drink. Some of the games cost over $2 per play, and it's not a long play. i still like the concept of an adult arcade combined with a sports bar. I never understood their attempt at "upscale dining". Fancy dressed wait staff hustling burgers and chicken fingers doesnt equate to fine dining. Always makes me laugh though, and the kids seem to like it. The drinks are also expensive, if you don't hit some kind of special. The food is not bad, but it is dressed up fast food. Ah, Dave & Buster's. You are overpriced, kind of fratty, and your food is only OK and kind of expensive. And what's up with your little cover charge later at night on the weekends? Aren't you bilking your customers for enough cash with your overpriced food and video games? Despite these beefs with D&B's, sometimes I can't resist. There just aren't many places for adults to entertain themselves after 9:00 anymore. Plus, their interactive boxing game is the best exercise EVER. Put me in front of that thing with a charged up game card and I actually enjoy working out. Now if I could just get one of those at home... One thing that D&B does well is smaller corporate parties. We took a group of about 20 there once and they fed us, split us into three teams, and had us competing against each other on various games (a driving game, skeeball, the basketball game, and that horse racing game). The competition aspect of it was really fun and we all had a great time. D&B ain't perfect, but on those days you just need to get your game on, it'll be there for you. read more

I don't know why, but I thought a night at Dave and Busters might be fun. I had never been there, and we were looking for something a little different. For those who haven't been there, here is the first mistake we made.... skip the food. We thought it kind of "went together", you ate and played games. We found out that there was a reason nobody was eating... the food is pretty terrible. Both of our meals were bad, the only good thing is that we both got 10 dollar cards with our meal, but this was a special at the time. The gaming part of the evening was better. We were only interested in the lame games, Skee-ball, basketball, etc, so we didn't hit up any of the hardcore games. To tell you the truth I kind of expected more from the arcade.... it was kind of disappointing. A lot of things were broken or broke while you were playing them. The cool games were all way too expensive. I'll go back for some of the games, but I won't be coming back for food. If you're looking for a night like Dave and Busters just break out the gaming machine at your house, order some good food, invite some friends over and go at it. Started out with great service but the table was sticky and crumbs were left from the previous customer and it was gross. The menu is simplified but is lacking really good food, someone could have made a better selection. The food was ok and the cheeseburger was disappointing and not tasty at all. "So we were wondering if you wanted to go to Dave & Buster's for your birthday?" is the question I heard on the other end of the line. I'd never been there before, but I knew that everyone coming along would ensure a great night. All I'd ever heard likened it to an adult chuck-e-cheese and that's exactly what it is. The games are a great time and are capable of inspiring gambling addictions. The prizes are only slightly more rewarding than they were at chuck-e-cheese, but hey. I now own a 4 foot tall PEANUT-BUTTER-JELLY-TIME banana man and it totally made my night. The food was decent, but the service was a little troubling. There were several parties of the same size who signed up well after our party and were seated before. When we were finally taken to a table, it was still being cleared (despite there being a number of open tables which were clean and weren't being filled). The hostess seemed very uncaring to the situation. The napkins that were brought to the table were at least fresh from the wash, which we knew because they were more than damp. Our server was nice, but it was a pretty standard dining visit. I very much did enjoy myself on the games end and had a great time with my friends there, but it'd be nice of the dining end to shape up to provide the one-stop-great-night that Dave & Buster's is supposed to be known for. read more

The food to me, is a cross between chili's and Cheesecake factory and feels like a place you'd go back when it was cool to go to Bennigan's and TGI Fridays. Just a dated, boring menu with greasy, fried, cheap quality food where everything is EXTREME and has bacon and lots of cheese and is fried. A menu that appeals to the lowest common denominator for the purpose of being able to satisfy children and child-like tastes to get them into the door so they will spend their money on video games. The cocktails are a joke. Margaritas with sweet and sour mix just dont cut it when you just as easily can use fresh juice, and it makes a big difference. Just stick with beer or something that doesnt require a recipe or creation of any type or you will be getting a dumbed down, watered down, high fructose corn syrup mixture rather than quality, fresh ingredients. The games are passable. There are a few that are enjoyable, but really nothing that made me want to return unfortunately. The concept is nice in that you can get dinner, drinks and play games, but I'm just not the target audience as the food, drinks, nor games really were my preference. read more

Dave and Buster's missed the mark today. The waitress we had started off by just getting our entire table water which is fine but she didn't ask for our drink order. Half of our party got their orders and when I inquired about the rest of our food to the person who was bringing the food out of the kitchen he shrugged his shoulders and with an attitude said "I don't know" and walked off. I then saw our waitress at the table that was next to ours so I said "ma'am" and she turns around and very rudely just said "what's up?" I then said "do you know where the rest of our food is?" She says "usually the kids orders come out first" I said but half our table already has their food and even adults have food already. The lady at the table next to us got the same meal I ordered but I still haven't got my meal and we were seated and ordered before them" she just said okay. (The people with meals were almost done eating that is how long the delay was from when they got their food and we got ours) So finally she comes with the food and it was cold and soggy. I knew our order had been sitting out there. After that she never came back to our table. My part of the ticket was $93 and it was only two adults and one child. I feel so upset that we received such bad service and the food was not good and we paid so much money. No one even asked how our meal was and our waitress was nowhere to be found . We ended up paying by scanning the QR code. Such a disappointment. read more

I took my family here for my boyfriend's 39th bday. My kiddos range from 15-19... Unless you count the big one haha. Anyhow, we all had a blast! To feed 5 of us and entertain us for 3 hours under $200 I feel like we couldn't have chosen a better place. We had game play cards for all 5, two appetizers, 4 alcohol beverages, 5 entrees, and memories to last a life time. We went on a Monday around 5:30 and didn't leave until 8:30. Which worked out great because it was 1/2 priced drinks and appetizers. It wasn't crowded at all. Our waitress and the staff were prompt and helped us with all of our questions without making us feel like a bother. Many of the games we played we were all able to play at the same time. When it came time to cash in our tickets, we were allowed to combine our totals which the teenagers lovvvved that. All the prizes seemed decent (nothing cheaply made). Good times had by all and we will definitely return... Maybe on a Sunday for $10 unlimited game play! read more

Here's a really stupid reason to like Dave n Busters -- I am not and have not been a gamer since the days of the old pinball machines, buuut I like the sounds they make when you got a room full going. Ok not every day, and not all the time, but every once in a while it's fun to sit and eat a greasy burger ( the ones here are more than just passable, there're pretty good) have a drink and and watch people bang cuss and grimace as they try to get top score on a machine. You can see some pretty good pool and some pretty funny pool being played, and if that bores you, check out what's on the TV screen. Don't expect service to be five or the meal to be five star, but go to have a good time, make a little noise and just " Blow the stink off" as an old friend used to say when we'd drop by the place. read more

First point: Jeff is most attentive waiter I've ever dealt with at ANY Dave & Busters. Had my first "real" Pina Colada here yesterday and it was pretty darn awesome. The food smelled great, but I wasn't there to eat. Everyone there was very friendly and the place was much cleaner than most arcades, and definitely most bars. Some of the games have issues, like the horse races that have about 1/4 of the horses scratched for each race, but that was the only one I played personally that had any function issues. The Guitar Hero game is a total rip-off though, you get to play ONE song. I really recommend the boxing game, you can keep playing until you're knocked out and it's a crazy awesome work out. Their pump-it-up machine is set so you don't auto-fail during songs and still get to play a 3 song set, no matter if you get an F or not. For two people to play for an hour, including two intense air hockey battles, we got a $20 card. Wednesdays are 50% off on games. read more

Great place to watch UFC if you have a big group-- you can reserve a table (they cover a pool table with a table top and throw some tablecloths on there) and as long as you make the minimum, you're good. No cover, no charge for parking, at least 3 big screen TVs handy. The only downside is, the sound is not super loud. This is a plus if you actually want to listen to your friends' comments about the fight more than Joe Rogan's. I don't know the minimum but it's not hard to make-- we had a group of about 12-15 with people ordering appetizers, salads, drinks, and a few entrees. I like that we only had to put down a drivers license for the table and the food was decent. It's on the pricey side for bar food, and it's not haute cuisine, big surprise, but the homemade mac & cheese with bacon was given 5 stars. The fish & chips was thumbs-down for being too small a portion and not terribly flavorful (and there's no malt vinegar.) I had a salad that was just fine. We didn't play any of the games or whatnot. We were just there for the fights without a cover, especially because we live north. read more

I really remember the original location on lower Greenville ave in Dallas. This location was a short drive from my second house in Garland and I use to spend an inordinate amount of time and money in this place. Great adult entertainment place for the benefit of our inner moppets. Yes, I'm a big kid at heart and like to combine poor video game play with too much alcohol, just so I can get away with drinking and driving without hurting anyone else except my wallet. I was shocked to see that this Dave and Busters had such a low rating! My husband and I LOVE to come here! It's one of our favorite date spots. I will say we don't normally eat at their restaurant but it's not because of a negative experience we've had there; we usually go for their arcade and drinks and both of those are awesome! The drinks are always delicious, we've always had great service at the bar. They have a bunch of great games to play of all varieties. Traveling through the Austin TX area, my wife & I decided to take a break. We started looking for a place to watch the final race of the NASCAR season. Called this Dave & Buster's location to see if a TV was broadcasting the race and the hostess told us that none was scheduled to show it. Asked to speak to a Manager to see if an out-of-the-way TV could be changed to the race in exchange for us spending a fairly large sum of money eating/drinking for three hours. After waiting 20 minutes for a manager to come to the phone, the hostess had to personally find him to ask him to take our call. The manager never bothered to take our call & simply told the hostess "No". We then drove into Austin, stopped at Champions Sports Bar & our request there was immediately accommodated. Apparently, "customer service" is reserved for only this manager's select customers and not for out-of-town" travelers. read more

Yes, I am a parent that takes his boy to Dave and Busters ..... don't worry he isn't one of those obnoxious kids screaming and throwing tantrums (but don't all parents say that?) OK so bathrooms, someone had just been in there and cleaned (very much happier than the last time I went) my son is a "hit a fish with a bat" prodigy, he won the jackpot 3 times in a row .... pretty impressive, went to the winners place to see what he could get .... Nice surprise - when my wife and I had been dating we went to Dave and Busters a lot, and saved up tickets .... 16,598 of them ..... so 2 Nintendo DS games later (a driving game which got low marks from my son who loves driving games, and a puzzle game for Sudoko my wife is an addict) I am unfortunately more in favor of Main Event at this point (maybe because of my son) I hear they have a rock wall, and I have been wanting to get back to climbing for a while ..... Their child's menu isn't just a bunch of fried stuff (though mostly), they actually had spaghetti with butter on it (I think it is gross but it was a hit with my son) as for my chicken whatever, I really would have preferred McDonald's, at least my fries would have been hot (not body temperature) read more

I came here for a work function, played video games, had a couple of beers, ate a bizarre meal of tiny hamburgers and other strange things that didn't really belong together. It was sort of fun, somewhere between a broken arm and falling off a swing. I did come back, and come back every so often for one reason. Air hockey. Forget all of the fancy blipbloop geewhiz video games. My girlfriend is from Canada (no, seriously), and there is some genetic need to play this thing. Downside is it is uneven, sticky with drink, and I never win. There are many video games here, from Ms. Pac Man to House of the Dead (#). There are billiards, ski ball, and a western shooting range (using light guns) for the analog set. Probably most fun with a few friends are the racing games. The good ones don't have enough seats, though, so someone gets stuck watching. read more

This place was packed on the weekend but where is it not packed on the weekend in Texas right? They seemed really clean. I did not try the food so I could not tell you much about that, nor could I tell you about the drinks but all the machinery was up-to-date and well maintained. The layout of this location is really awesome and easy to just walk around and play a few of your "childhood" games but also play some fun and spunky new ones. This review doesn't actually involve any of the games at Dave and Buster's because after all of my frequent visits, I still haven't played one. Haven't really felt tempted either. I came to Dave amd Buster's for their late-night Happy Hour (Sun-Thurs, 9pm-11pm) with a friend. I ordered my usual, Cherry Berry Mojito (yumm!) and the Chargrilled Sirloin and Shrimp. The portions for the food was a tad on the small side but was overall very flavorful and the meat was cooked just right. The wait staff doesn't bother you too much here, which is a nice change. You can always flag them down for another drink, shot, what have you. I don't know if the games are any good but the atmosphere is really laid back, fun on the weekends, and the drinks are delish. read more

FLAMIN' FINGER! I'm aware that yes, Dave & Buster's is a nationwide chain and yes, it is like a much nicer version of Good Times. However, if you can overlook your adult pretension for a few hours and embrace the cheesiness, you'll have a pretty good time. We started out with food, and I figured, what better way to kick off a round of arcade games and scavenging for the cheapest toys I could trade for tickets than with chicken fingers and fries? The chicken fingers were pretty sweet, I'll admit. We both got the $20 game card deal, which meant that our dinners each ended up being only about $3.99 apiece. Not too shabby. I also applaud D&Bs for not trying to make their dining room "zany" by sticking a bunch of goofy incongruous shit on the walls. The decorating scheme was refreshingly simple and focused on dark wood, large potted palms, a checkerboard floor, stained glass windows, and a system of ceiling fans curiously operated by some sort of pulley mechanism. Anyway, onto the games, or the "midway" as D&Bs calls it. This is where you piss away your hard-earned cash to shoot at aliens, zombies, raptors, drug dealers, and what-have-you, along with race jetskis, X-wings, and the like. There's also a small cluster of old-school arcade games, such as Millipede, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, and Super Mario Bros. Yup, that's definitely where a good chunk of my game card went. Up yours, Kong! There was also some sort of trivia game, which would have been fun to play had it not been hogged by the cluster of 30-somethings on their "big night out" away from the kids. Sigh. Soon we tired of the arcade games and wandered over to the "token-eaters". You know what I'm talking about: the games that you play over and over again, just so you spend all your credits and can get the hell out of the arcade and not feel like you completely wasted your money. This is where Skee-Ball, the basketball game, and Flamin' Finger--Jason's personal favorite--came in. Between the two of us we racked up over 500 tickets and spent the next half an hour trying to decide what sort of cheap crap we'd spend our tickets on. I suppose that if I'd wheedled enough, I could've gotten Jason to fork over his tickets so that I could have bought the pair of LED earrings, but it simply wasn't worth it. The decisions I had to make: should I buy the Beyonce dog tags? The spinning rims necklace? The glittery temporary tattoos that said "Angel" and "Tease" that I could have stuck on Jason in the middle of the night while he was sleeping? Eventually I settled on a kazoo, some candy, mini guns that shoot sticky darts, and a couple of other cheap doodads that'll surely further contribute to the clutter my desk. We left, our money well spent and a cramp in my arm already forming from playing Skeeball over and over. Perhaps another time, D&B's. read more

Yeah, I'm one of those nursing a joint-Gold card carrying almost as many points as my salary. Embarassing? Sure. Expensive? maybe. I think that's why we're hoarding points, rather than spending it on crap we could probably buy at face value for 1/5 the amount we're spending on games. But we view D&B's like Vegas -- you go in to spend money, not getting any value in return except fun. My hubby & I usually split $20-25 in tokens worth - -I like the gun games (so no tix at all!), we both spend a few spins on the big-ticket-return items and usually hit the jackpot... And their chicken parmesan is the best I've had. Shameful, but no lie -- I like the crispy texture, no sauce, no mozz to weigh it down. Perfect with the side of pasta (which is just okay, I'll admit, but man, I crave that chicken parm). And their specials for $10 free bonus play when you buy the entree at $15.99? I mean, yes, sounds pricey, but you're just going to play their games anyway, so a decent entree for essentially $5.99 is awesome, in my book. read more

I've been here many times and been satisfied, and many times my expectations have not been met. Let us focus on right this moment, restaurant only. The fried mushroom appetizer seem like it's been in the freezer a long time before sadly disgracing our unkempt table. Sure, it's Monday night, but at most restaurants, the wait staff removes sugar packets and other random trash from the table while you eat. The frozen atlantic salmon was decently cooked, but the fish n chips... I had to blot before I could start typing this. It's flaky and falls off the fork, but squish it just a tiny bit and watch the grease flow. And the ketchup was expired. That stuff is supposed to last for years. Apparently, it tasted funny, but I couldn't tell. Oh and the chocolate shake was your basic hershey's syrup meh. No oomph whatsoever. So why 3 stars? Because sometimes it's not this bad. Just understand that the restaurant is not the main course at D&B. read more
