Off the bat I don't go here for real food, its just not that great. I come here to drink while getting to play games. It's like Chuckee Cheese with Vodka (take notes Chuckee) I'll usually get a light snack like the poppin potatoes (try them, they are good!!) and my drink is the adult snowcone. Its GREAT!! Only problem is my 6 year old who thinks he's a big kid because I let him have soda once now thinks he should get some. Mama don't play like that kid, HANDS OFF MY SNOWCONE!! Remodeling in progress, but the flavors in the food, the coldness of the drinks, and the fun in the games are all the same (except some newer selections now). I have been to this location more than 3 or 4 times and each time has been good. The staff hustles to get you food and drink and the games are just as good or getting better each time. They have recently changed over to a credit system for tickets and offer some slick deals on certain nights with certain games. I admit, some of the routine (but fun) arcade games now provide ticket credits..so you get a quick play with a decent amount of credited tickets. I have mixed feelings on Dave and Busters. I used to go here for some fancy schmancy drink happy hours way back in the day. Where for some off the cuff day you could drink your fill at a lowered price. I went there a few times for dinner, had a salad or two and wasn't too impressed. Then...there is the arcade. Yes ladies and gents,not just a restaurant/bar but a big kids arcade. With a billion games ranging from arcade games and a basketball shooting thing to a machine that "electrocutes you"...shakes you until you cant hold it anymore ( well everyone has some sick fascination about trying this. ) Imagine this...10 or so 20 or thirty somethings having conniption fits as they race madly around the arcade playing games and trying to collect lots of little tickets so they can buy some bizarrely non useful item from the gift shop that costs maybe 6 times what it would in the real world. I got a shot glass!!! My friend got her boyfriend a pair of boxers!!! I almost had enough money left over to buy a little plastic bouncy ball!!! You get my drift. They have a card that you have to put money on to play the games, and you have to buy the card. The staff always looks annoyed an pissed off, which is sad in a place that is supposed to be a break from all that. They do have some specials where you can get dinner and a card with money on it for cheaper then the real thing, so check that out if you go. Verdict: Fun for a short while, but you probably wont find me here more then once a year. Also, keep your arcade card so you don't have to buy another. read more

Man, this place is boring. I've been here three times since I've moved here and the third was a company outing, even with free credits it was cringeworthy. Let me save you the trouble of going and explain the entertainment they have available: Racing games, shooting games, ticket machines and phone app games. There's no variety, if you play four games, you've played every single one. The games have no challenge and not even a shred of fun, they've all been so obviously designed to take money. Even if you're an expert at them, you won't get more than 60 seconds of play. The play card credits are an interesting product of psychological marketing research. You put money into a machine and it gives you a larger arbitrary number of credits attached to a dollar value. All the machines take something like 3.2 credits. It's all so you lose the idea of the value you're pumping into the machine. If you actually converted it, you're paying something like 4 dollars to play a stupid race game for a lap. Such a rip off. To top it off, the food was pretty bad. I guess the only redeeming value would be the bar, which is kinda cheesy but for a sports bar I guess it's not terrible. read more

I love coming here to hang out with friends at nights. Mostly we are here only for games. Varieties of games to choose from. Usually $30 per person for an hour, but it really depends on how you spend it. Video games (shootings, racings, or arcades) are usually cheaper than other games (coin pushers, fortune coins, or other games for lots of tickets). Food is expensive here for the qualities, but ample of space for parties. Lots of dinning seats and big area. Bar has pretty good selections, but it's pretty pricy as well. ($7-13 a drink). Tips: Come on Wednesdays for half price. Or sign up with their bi-weekly emails to get lots of coupons (food and games), or sign up with the reward card to get $10 on games for free. read more

Came here with the kids. To be honest the had a good time but how could they not? Food was below average. Service simply put it over the top as far as leaving you wanting more! I was really disappointed about this Dave & Buster's. Driving back to Dallas from San Marcos, my friend and I wanted to stop by an arcade to play some games (and get me a adorable stuffed animal), and this place was a disappointment. The employees here didn't seem to enjoy their job, there was barely anyone walking around to help us, I had to go up to someone at the shop or at the bar to get some help. This place is a mess, drinks were laid out everywhere, trash were in particular regions and games and everything I touched felt oily. Also, there weren't any good prizes to win in the store. We decided to keep our tickets, come back to Dallas, and see if there were any good prizes there. I will not be coming back to this Dave & Buster's. read more

The food is good, and there's a great menu selection. And bar selection, as well as about 10 beers on tap. We just had our corporate event during lunchtime yesterday. We did the contract and the whole shebang. We had about 40 attendees. We chose the party and play and had the Mediterranean buffet and added additional veggie pasta. What came with the package was unlimited coffee, tea, water, and soda. We ran out of beef kind of quickly because it was REALLY good. We had a little bit leftover chicken I think, and a lot of leftover salad, and also the hummus with the (very yummy) two different kinds of chips (pitas?) that came with it. I am SO PLEASED. We had a great time playing the games (very many to choose from) and we had a LOT of room to sit and socialize while eating and not playing games. We had an event manager that tended specially to us, and then a staff of 2, who were VERY attentive and very professional, polite, and sweet. For the last 3 years, we had been having our event elsewhere but it changed locations. This place is centrally located, has ample parking, and it was a very good time. I spend way more time here than I would like to admit. It is usually my go to place when there is a UFC fight. This is one of the few places that has Angry Orchard here AND it is on tap!!! Saturday was kind of meh though. We came here for lunch and had the Ancho Caesar Grilled Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Chicken Street Tacos. The lettuce wraps were not as good as they usually are. The street tacos were realllllly good. My boyfriend asked the person that seated us if he would put on a soccer game and the guy said he would but then went back to his station and never changed the channel. The service in the restaurant part is good but lacking. Your cup will definitely hit the bottom before you get a refill. Condiments will always be missing on the initial run. And if you get the eat and play combo, you may have to remind your server. If you go outside of the eat and play combo, you'll see that you're basically paying the same price for just the food and miss out on the "free" $10 game card. Happy hour prices for drinks are remarkable, 50% off a lot of drinks, beer, wine,and spirits. I always give 5 stars for places that will get be buzzed for under $10. But D&B is much more than a drinking place, it's for family entertainment or something. The games have gone up in price slowly and they have taken away the gold member perks (something like 10000 tokens purchased). Still, they do a good job of getting new machines in and keeping the prizes fresh. It can get really expensive if you don't budget yourself, but $10 can leave you with a lot of tickets or a couple of hours playing arcade games. Main Event (another entertaiment/arcade place in Austin) has D&B beat on price and entertainment (bowling, laser tag, mini golf), D&B is much cleaner and has better food. I've been a returning customer here. And the service is always amazing. As soon as I walked in my partner and I were greeted. We were here on the third of august. We asked a couple of questions to the staff just because it had been a year since we have been here. We asked about pricing what's a good amount of tokens for the arcade etc. We were about done with the night have spending about $300 and we saw you could redeem your tickets for appetizers etc. We went to the bar to order but it was 20 minutes to close. The staff happily took our order asking what else we may need. And several staff came over to apologize for the wait. We explained that it's honestly our fault and we ordered late and that we were in fact sorry. 5 minutes to close we were greeted by the manager who then apologized and asked what we needed and explained the situation. We were unfazed by the wait and told him that there was no worries and we are more than glad to wait. When the food came out he handed us the bag directly. This was our first trip to a Dave & Busters. They dont have these where we came from. It's basically an up scale Chuck E. Cheese. I'd much rather eat the food here and the cost is probably the same. We took the kids with us and they had a good time. We got the deal where you get a $10 card with one of your meals if you pay a little extra. Pretty good deal really. For just that $10 we kept the 3 kids busy for about an hour including picking out prizes with the tickets they won. I'd recommend it to people with kids but definitely try to go earlier in the day/evening as the place turns into a more adult atmosphere later on with alcohol and adults acting more like kids. :) The food was nothing special. My wife's salad was drenched in dressing. The chicken tacos I ordered were OK. The rice was especially good though. Think about this for a second: If there were no kids who grew up playing video games in arcades during the 70s and 80s, there'd be no Dave & Buster's. Does that mean the newest generation of video gamers, the ones who grew up on Playstations and XBoxes (with equal or better graphics than what the arcade industry can produce), will want to come to a place like this in, say, ten or twenty years? That's hard to say. Of course, it's kind of neat that, although almost every local video game arcade has gone the way of the dinosaur, there's still a place you can go to play arcade games--both new and old. But not only that, you can catch whatever's on ESPN, shoot a game of pool, have a drink, and even a bite to eat. Oh, and lest I forget the best part, D&B has outlawed the kiddies after a certain time of the night. I know, it's a huge chain (which is very anti-Austin) and kind of a ripoff (the "credit" system is a genius way to overcharge customers), but hey, I grew up in a different time where video game arcades were a child's Mecca. I like the service. You are greeted by someone who usually checks your ID. You have the option of going to the game room or a seating or eating area. If you want food here you have to wait for forever! they want you to spend all your money on games. There are lots of TV's here as well along with a bar. Three stars because the slowness of this place. The people in the game room also don't take your tips if you offer them tips which doesn't make sense to me. games are pricey though some nights they have lower prices on games. This place is smaller compared to most of the Dave and Busters I have been too. It was fun and went on a Friday night, yes full price name. I was there for an hour and a half and spent $26 dollars with the coupon buy $20 dollars worth of games get another free. The service was great and they greeted you. Unfortunately they did not have the Dave and Buster's smell to it. The arcade games where the same as in Milpitas, but had newer games I have never seen before. I have not been to the one in Milpitas in ages. No Match'em up though which is one of my favorite games. The prize selection was actually good, but cramped up. Food and service here....pretty bad, and I didn't have that high of expectations going in. I'm not sure what was with our waiter but he seemed very confused and out of it the whole time. I thought it could be because we had a big group, but wait a minute, shouldn't they be used to that here? One of the trays with half of our food on it got dropped which caused half our group to have to wait longer for our food. It wasn't that big of a deal but there was no offer of anything for those of us who had to wait while they remade our orders. (I'm just saying, a free appetizer would have been nice!) I ordered the bar burgers which are supposed to be their specialty and I like to feel like I'm eating 4 burgers instead of one. Instead of 4 individually made mini burgers, they plopped a regular sized cooked burger on 4 mini buns and cut it into quarters. So all the corners of the buns had no burger in them! I guess this could have been because of the aforementioned dropping incident but I was still disappointed. As for the games, just OK. Great hang out place for groups of friends, coworkers, and/or family. Large dining and game area. Happy hour specials are good as well. The food/service can be hit or miss depending on when and what day you go. But the best part is all the games, lots of fun games to play, but at time quite a bit can be out of order which is lame. Seemed like your standard chain restaurant food, which isn't a bad thing, because most likely people are coming here to also play the games,not have a unique or fancy meal. The games: this kept us busy for a couple hours and was fun. There are a lot of arcade games that take up most of the floor space. I think it would be even better to have more varied styles of games. The cost was a bit pricey (I can imagine for a family) , but since it's not a weekly thing and it was 2 of us, it isn't that crazy of a cost. We were able to get a price from the shop with our tickets because a friend let us use their tickets. You might have to come here quite often and hoard your tickets to use it for anything worthwhile. read more

There was even this one family that paid over 36 credits all at once, so there was no way to take a turn in between. And to top it off, they were using it barefoot. I've had the food there before, and I don't think it's as terrible as a lot of people here are claiming. It's pretty standard chain food fare. That's really all that needs to be said about it. Now, on to the games. I love playing the games here. Why? Let's see, for starters you pay to play the games but earn tickets to get items. Probably not all that great for occasional visitors but if you go there for fun often you can earn some cool stuff...or in some cases very useful stuff (CD/DVD repair kit, blender, rice cooker, etc.). It's very easy to have fun and earn a lot of tickets in one visit off of 10-20 bucks if you stick to the right games. My favorites are basketball, Deal or No Deal, Trivia (which is great for lots of tickets if you're good at trivia and lots of people who aren't good at trivia are playing), and the machines where you push coins over the edge to get tickets. My wife and I go there about once or twice every two months...and now that we've discovered half priced Wednesdays, that may be the day of the week we stick to from now on. Overall, in my opinion, this place is a very good value for a couple of hours of entertainment. read more
