It's been a while.since I have been to a Dave & Busters. I had forgotten how much of a nerd I am when it comes to playing the games. I "think" that I a complete Ninja when it comes to playing Fruit Ninja. I get my power stance ready and slash away at the fruit in the screen. I think that I am a Ninja. But as a friend kindly pointed out, I seriously looked like I may have just been having a moment with my arms flailing all over the place and a manical look on my face. Yep, gotta love friends. I came out to celebrate with a group of people for an event. So we had one of the meeting rooms reserved and a package deal where we had a set menu to choose from..the menu choices also included game play. At the end of the shenanigans our server took our power cards and checked the totals to see what point levels we had. Since we were having a competition to see who could get the most points. It was a fun time. The food was good. And of course so we the drinks. The service was spot on. My GPS was confusing since it took me outside of the mall. I didnt realize that there wasn't a separate entrance for Dave & Busters. Luckily when I was walking through the parking lot, I heard a couple talk about D&B so I followed them. It was a good time. I realized that I need to come out and play. I used to really enjoy going to Dave & Busters to watch football on their many TV screens. read more

It's Dave and Busters and the same as every other D&B. Your experience will vary with your expectations. It's loud, boisterous, and fun for older kids who loves games, and grownups who like to sit at the bar and watch a game on TV. The food is pretty yummy. The Nachos are my favorite item on the menu and big enough for two adults. Is it pricy? Yes, very. However, for a once in a while treat, it's worth the expense. I can bring my 13 year old and a friend or two, they go off gaming, and I get some peace and quiet. D&B is fun in small, occasion doses. read more

Checked into a table just before 7pm, by 8pm, not one server had stopped by the table to take our order I tried to flag down several servers, I watched servers and other staff playing games, talking to each other, and generally walking right past without so much as a check in or acknowledging my attempts to get attention. I figured I'd order myself a drink and dessert while my dad & kids played games. Spent over $200 on credits and kids picked out prizes and were ready to go before anyone came. I really enjoyed my time here. This is one of those places where you like it for what it is. I really appreciate the fact that they have things on the menu for everyone. You can find something to eat if you're a vegetarian or trying to watch your weight. The atmosphere is fun with a lively arcade. Last night my server was perfect. Hence the extra star! Every table was dirty and no bus staff in sight. Had to ask three different employees who could care less about the condition of the restaurant. The service was great! We had a waiter that was very attentive to our group, came out to check us consistently and was very cheerful of a gentleman. (Had a cool mustache too). Had a bit of problem with ambiance as we went to watch the Padres game but UFC and Boxing were on all the major screens but they did change it at request one of the TVs for us. I took my two kids. We waited for 30minutes and ended up having to chase the server down to get food. Then at the end after spending $50+, you go to the ticket store and my kids couldn't each get one tiny piece of candy or a 5 cent toy. Worst part is that we spent about 20minutes convincing them to get the smallest thing and then we could even get that. We got to spend the afternoon with our grandson and this was the perfect place to take him. There is lots for the kids to do with games and delicious kid friendly meals and great meals for the rest of us. My husband was low carbing and we found it easy for him to stay on his diet. He had a delicious Caesar salad with grilled chicken on top. Now if you want something really tasty like fries and great hot dogs and burgers this is the place for you too. I walked back to D&B's to try and come to my old favorite hang out yet the lingering cloud of pot smoke made me cough so bad I had to leave the entire mall immediately. Get your employees to handle their responsibilities and be concerned with customer care. There were many children probably stoned from the second hand smoke. You can guarantee I won't be bringing any of my kids or friends to this place ever again! Oh and I've left 2 messages die this corporate phone number and NO ONE has called me back and I have a gold member card from the first D&B's in Dallas. Come on at least call me back if you want to hear more about my numerous issues with this Carlsbad location. I want to go back bur it gets worse every time despite my reviews and issues that I thought could be resolved on the store level. Unfortunately, I cannot give you zero stars because if I could - I would. I cannot even begin to describe how incredibly disappointed I am in the complete lack of service today. We had a party of 20. Janette was our server. She took the kids' order - came back and took only the appetizer order. When the appetizers came out - she took only 2 out of 6 adults' orders. After the 2 meals came out by the busser - we asked him why she never came back for the rest of the adults. No answer. The busser said he would get her - another 20 minutes goes by and she still is nowhere to be found. I ask to speak with the manager and she said she would get her. Another 20 minutes goes by and she finally shows up to take the rest of the order. The food comes out staggered and she never got the 6th adults' food put in. Our drinks were never refilled and the table looked like a bomb went off. She kept coming by after all the food was out and kept asking me to close out her tab. Uhmm. Why are you in such a rush now?! She made it clear that she was no longer working our table and someone else would take over. But obviously no one ever did show up again. Having spent over a $1000 today on food and games you can bet that I'm beyond livid. In this economy - for someone to want to spend money with your restaurant you would think that you would up your customer service level to at least making sure the orders are done right, drinks refilled, and tables bussed. Not a whole lot to ask for. Don't even get me started on Nathan at the front desk. He messed up my 12 game cards numerous times - one time trying to charge me $750 instead of $500 until I pointed out that it was a mistake. When the Power Tap bands weren't working (which costs $10 each) - he refused to take any responsibility saying that we needed to make sure it lined up with the machine. Come ON. It's a child's Power Tap and there are NO instructions saying that. It should be simple as tapping which is what it says on the bracelet. When asked - he sent us on a wild goose chase to go find the manager with the radio. I went to the manager and she said - oh we need to find the tech. The tech comes by and says - I'll take you to go play. No - I'm not playing - the kids are. I'm not following you anywhere. A ridiculous day - a waste of over $1000. Go somewhere else where your money is valued. It was an absolute embarrassment to bring my friends and family there. read more

We don't go for the food we go to play games. Recently they added a bunch of new games and spread them out more so there's a lot more to choose from. Music is always blasting and there's free Wi-Fi because you will not get service inside. The games are always on and there's a lot more attendees now then there ever was before. Which in my opinion is way more enjoyable since I no longer have to flag someone down when a game isn't working. read more

I'm so glad we now have a Dave And Busters here in North County! So many games! No more tokens (yay!!) - it's all on cards. I brought my 13-year-old son and two of his friends here on a Saturday. Got a booth, ate/drank and checked my email ... the boys ran around till I texted them there was food at the table. Perfect situation. My awesome server (Juve) was so patient with me as I tried to find the coupon code for a free appetizer (after filling out a survey). She got the manager to help (he was super helpful too). We went here as a family on a Saturday morning and it was an amazing experience. Our daughters are 5 and 3 and have been asking to go to an arcade and this with perfect. The prices are fair for 2024 and they were able to play a ton of games. Also everything was incredibly clean and all the games were working perfectly. The food was good but the service was kind of lacking. Still tipped the waiter decently because he did a good job. Our order was taken in a reasonable time frame, the waiter checked back to see how everything was, and was very courteous. Downside to the experience was that the person greeting us at the door didn't greet us, the machine to buy passes wasn't working or I was using it wrong either way no help was offered. Usually I wouldn't be irritated by this but there was one person in front of us who had been seated in between the time I was messing with the machine to receive the pass and no one behind us (pretty slow). I just gave up and asked if the front counter was where we asked to be seated. The lady at the front confirmed and took us to a table that was not clean. I walked back up to the front counter and asked if we could move to the next table that was cleaner and the greeter told us it was fine and that we should move the table settings to the next table ourselves and they'll take our order. We finished our food and saw another party get seated at the same table we complained that was dirty. They also complained and it finally got cleaned. Pretty good game selection, a few machines might need some upgrades or just need a new one. Food service is just okay, some days they come out fast and hot, some its just warm. The alcohol drinks are a hit and miss in my opinion. Either bland taste or too strong. Now, the bathrooms. I do not understand how they let the bathrooms get so dirty. Its an automatic flush as well, but sometimes it doesn't work and I haven't see a button to manually flush it. The door locks barely work, which is annoying. Good place to kill time and play games. I came to D&B to get a few drinks and just relax and it was a really great atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and asks if you're ok and if you need drinks once seated at the bar. After a horrible experience here a couple of years ago. I was dragged back here reluctantly because I'm a good aunt. Lol. Our party of 16 went for my nephews birthday and we were lucky enough to be seated with in 20 minutes of our reservation. Erin was our server and he was fabulous! He was on top of drinks and refills, had a great attitude, was polite, and brought our food out quickly. The hostess station can still use work. And the cooks are just ok. This was a much better experience than our family's last visit. I gave 4 stars just because this place is insanely expensive and the gaming area is about 115°. read more

Today was the first time my son and I were able to have a fun day at Dave & Busters in over a year and it was well worth the wait. While changes are in place due to COVID-19 (such as limited seating), it was great to play games and have lunch with my son as coming here is something we love to do together. I will say that this Dave & Buster's location is one of the better ones I've been too. The happy hour deals are good and the food is even better. Buyer beware!! my family twin sons went to spend the late afternoon evening with my granddaughter for games and family fun..my sons wallet went missing with almost Hundred$ in it he just got payed didn't have time to get to the bank yet.. no surveillance! However security had his wallet with no money in it! moving forward no cameras except over cash registers? Families with children are always here.. I couldn't ever feel safe here again especially after this happened.. if you plan on going make sure everything that's of value stays on your body!!! The food is mediocre at best!! Fun place to drink and play games with your friends, food is mediocre, the bartenders definitely need to get retrained, I had a bartender come up to my friend and start harassing my friend and trying to fight with him out of nowhere with no cause, security had to get the bartender away from us and they also told us it wasn't the first time he came up to a customer in a threatening manner. read more

Food was good but we had our picture taken and paid $32 for two copies. We left them at our table while we played games. After we were done we went to our table and they were gone. So we went to the front desk and asked if they had them and they said no that the photographer had left so then we tried getting a refund and the manager said it's not his problem with horrible attitude.
