We actually came back even after a horrible experience last year. Our youngest wanted to play her video games so we took a seat in the bar area and ordered 3 drinks( alcoholic). We'd just eaten in the mall food court so we didn't want to eat again. The waitress came back to find out what we were going to order food wise and we told her we were only drinking. She said we would have to either order food or vacate the booth within a half hour. WTH??? Who kicks people out of a seat when they are drinking? If i could give them 0 stars I would. Unprofessional waitstaff and management. Went here for a friends birthday and our waiter was really unprofessional in how he carried himself. His street cred seemed more important than serving his guests. Food was cold and asked for manager multiple times for our requests to be ignored. The waiter bucked at my buddy who wasn't having it and then all the managers arrived as we were heading out the door. Troy Fletcher and another manager were extremely disrespectful. I was told that I didn't need to tell them how to do their jobs when I recommended actually being on the floor observing guest/employee interactions. Under New Management now for a few months. Much Improved and the food is much better also. The facility has been upgraded with new carpet and flooring and TV's. Large Staff Turnover and improvement I have been there a few times in the last few months and know the new General Manager. Things are much improved. read more

We visited this Dave and Buster (Hanover Md.) Saturday July 5, 2014 for my son birthday, low and behold, they took my BANK CARD, held it, and charged my order and included someone else's order. My bank is now holding the other charge in pending status. Not only that, but the food sucks. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, especially if you have to pay using your credit card. What a mess! The hostess station was completely unmanned amd a mob of customers were waiting. Eventually we were literally waved to a booth and brought menus after a minute. The food was great however, our server took forever to separate our bill, and kept switching a menu item to the wrong check...25 minutes later we couldn't order our celebratory shots (because it's well after 1am) and the unaffected manager offered only a half-assed apology...as of now at 1:20am we're still waiting for our cards to be given back just to find out that now a person in our party was charged $177 on a $65 bill. And that same manager initially tried to refuse a corrected receipt showing the refunded amount, needless to say I'll come for the games but as far as the service in the restaurant I'd have to think twice. read more

Brought my kids there yesterday to get them out the house on their spring break. Usually the food is decent, but it was horrible. Usually we go on the weekend, so I don't know if there are different people working in the kitchen during the week, different management, or what the issue is, but it was much lower quality than usual. And this is already not a five star restaurant obviously to begin with. First of all, kids' drinks are not included in the kids meal, I paid an extra $6 for two small kids' sprite. Which is a rip-off! I ordered bang bang shrimp, mashed potatoes, spinach, and a watermelon lemonade margarita. The shrimp was ok. The mashed potatoes were very dry and pasty, and the spinach was bland and too watery, almost like a soup. There was way too much liquid in the bowl. The lemonade margarita was missing the salt around he rim of the glass, and the watermelon cubes in the drink. It looked NOTHING like the picture in the drink menu. I asked the bartender, and he said they were out of the green salt, and the watermelon cubes were 'melting' in the back of the kitchen. So they were not using them. Which made me wonder what else was not being stored at the correct temperature in the kitchen, possibly leading to food poisoning. Since they apparently had issues with their refrigerator/freezer. Yet I was still charged full price $10 for the margarita. Also ordered some kind of banana pudding pie, which was a small slice for the price, and underwhelming. Kids' meal macaroni was nothing but boxed Kraft, though my daughter enjoyed it. The chicken tender kids meal seemed to be the only decent meal at the table. My fiance and I wanted to get a drink before our movie last night and was sadly dissapointed with this place. I will never go to Dave and Busters in Hanover MD again. We sat at the bar while the bartender continually passed us over to help others. We sat right in front of him and asked him nicely if we could be waited on and he never came over to us. We sat there and watched him wait on others. I have a friend who works as a waiter here and when I asked him to speak with the bartender he went over to another bartender and asked him if he could assist us and he didn't bother to come over either. Our friend brought us some waters while we waited and we waited and waited. After 30 minutes of getting no service we left. I've been here multiple times, figured I'd finally write a review. I've only eaten food here once and honestly I don't even remember it, so it was neither incredibly great nor terrible. The fact that you can buy beer and then go play arcade games is awesome though - if you don't consider yourself too old to play arcade games, of course. But even if you do consider yourself too old to get down on DDR, there's also pool tables to the side and a bowling alley (side note, I think the bowling alley is like $40 an hour in their prime hours which i do think is a ridiculous price - but it's also $15 an hour during their off hours which is pretty good) The arcade is great, I feel like every time I visit they have one or two new games. They have plenty of options to choose from though a lot of their machines are oriented towards winning tickets. I just went last weekend and they had revamped all their prizes - they've actually got a ton of really cool stuff now that you can buy for tickets from videogames, boardgames, yo-yo's, headphones, etc. - some of it is obtainable, but some of the stuff is unrealistically expensive. (12,000 tickets for a game of thrones Risk boardgame. We spent $70 and only managed to win 2,000). But if you're one of those people who is good at saving tickets, i say go for it My fiancee & I had our first date here. I did a proposal that involved a scavenger hunt and D&B was one of the stops along the way - I don't recall the managers name, but he was super helpful with setting everything up. Go for the games, not for the food. Subpar wait service which my party and I could look past. However, the kicker was finding a live bug/fly crawling out of our marinara sauce. When management was alerted, they offered to comp it which is great but then the choice was to offer another food item for free in its place. Why would we want to eat anything after that?! The staff to my surprise is actually deserving of 5 stars, well at least the front desk staff, game repair staff, prize staff, etc. The wait staff and food managers eh 2.5 stars. The food gets 3.5-4 stars. 1 star for location. I so wish this was a stand alone Dave and Busters. Being in Arundel Mills means two things, one you will spend 45-90 minutes in search of a parking spot, two there will be a million and one unattended kids here. If you've ever accidentally stepped in an ant mount, and saw all the ants run around in a frenzy around your ankles, think of this location as the ant mount, the teenagers and kids as the ants. It's like this is where parents drop their bad kids off on the weekends when they don't want to get a sitter while they go to Maryland Live next door. So I've spent the better part of an evening reading and laughing at most of the posts on here. This is my first review for Dave and Busters and I've been coming here for years. Long overdue. Food: 3 Stars Well, It's typical fried food with some "unique" classier entree's in there with them. Honestly...it's an Arundel Mills Anchor store, people! You can SEE IT FROM THE HIGHWAY.... OF COURSE it's going to be busy, it's going to take a minute to get your food! If you wanted cheap, quick food, here's a few suggestions. One, go to McDonalds. You can eat in your car and look at that, you serve yourself. No waiting for that pesky server who's taking care of 100 more annoying tables like you. Two, If you want 400 modifications to a sandwich or a burger, go to Burger King, where you can have it your way. Seriously, I get it...some people don't like tomatoes, pickles or even lettuce by the size of most of your waist lines...but just because you don't like it...doesn't mean you're ALLERGIC to it. Pick. It. OFF. It saves you time, and saves the server and the mgmnt from dealing with your trivial issues while there are tickets PILING up in the kitchen. You, are the reason restaurants have slow ticket times. Service: 4 Stars Might just be me(working in the industry) but I have a higher expectation of the level of service that I get. Then I see what I would think would be 12- 12 year olds...in hip huggers, boots with fur and very skimpy tops. This isn't a Beyonce music video...it's a "family" establishment....To the parents.... WHAT is WRONG with you people!? There are SIGNS everywhere to the effect of "Everyone under 21 needs to have a chaperone." Do your job or stay home. To the Staff and management, I remember when you had a curfew...and I think it's time to go back to that..and a metal detector. ... . . You'd probably get more business and nicer (and cleaner) clientele coming in on the weekends. To all who bitched and complained about the included gratuity....get over it. To let you know..the national average is 20% now...get with the times. When we were in there the last time...about 2 weeks ago, We saw it on the menu, twice and once on the actual check, and it says if you want to tip a different amount, PLEASE TELL A MANAGER....now with that being said, 16-18% is NOT alot of money. Maybe they're having an off day? Does that happen to you? I know it happens to me. If you want to leave less (and unless a rat came and tap danced on your PLATE and twirled his hat with your fork...if not, shame on you) just tell the manager, and they'll take it off. It's not undeserved money...most of the time it's a stupidity tax. Also, if you're going to a place on a WEEKEND... It's going to be busy, parking is going to suck and you're probably gunna have a server that has worked over half their 15 hour shift. A little patience goes a long way. And stop claiming poverty when you come out...to D&B or any restaurant. If you don't have money..stay at home or get dollar menu, genius. My 2 friends and I decided to go bowling on Friday night at the Arundel Mills D&B's. We went because one of my friends had a $50 D&B play card that he received last time he was there because they lost his ID at the bowling check-in desk. You would think that if the establishment lost your ID while you were bowling, you would be able to use the gift card for bowling? Nope, we were told it was only for arcade games, which we were not there for. During our first game, our lane kept sweeping the pins before we bowled and we let the person at the desk know. It happened maybe a total of 10-15 times during the game making the score of the game irrelevant and decreasing the amount of fun. The employee that came over saw it happened and told us it was probably because the sensor was reacting to the people next to us bowling. He said he would have to talk to this manager to see if we could be moved. It happened once or twice more, and we looked behind us to that employee talking to his manager who was in the back near the bar watching. They continued to talk for 5-10 minutes, yet the manager did not come over to us to ask us if we wanted to move or apologize for ruining the game. The bowling alley was not that busy and there were lanes not being used. Eventually, the manager left the area and we did not hear back from the employee or manager. We got no discounted price for the tainted hour of bowling we had, and we definitely did not leave satisfied. The least we could have gotten is an apology from the manager. read more

OMG the worst experience ever. My friend and I stopped in here after the movies on Saturday night, and because Du Claw's was too crowded. We (un) luckily found the last two seats at the end of the bar, at the pass I guess they call it.. Let me first say that while we had a bad experience, the manager I complained to did make it right, by way of deeply discounting our bill. But nevertheless, the gesture wasn't enough to make me ever want to go there again! First of we ordered two beers,easy enough. We ordered an appetizer of wings which came out so fast it made my head spin. I commented that they must have just had them sitting back there waiting for someone, anyone to order. They seemed slightly undercooked for my taste and we didn't finish them. I then ordered the Turkey Burger BLT, minus the B, and asked for it with American cheese, my date ordered the Philly cheese steak with light onions and peppers. Again, both meals came out lickety split, and wrong!! My turkey burger had no cheese, and his cheese steak had no steak, lol. It was laden with onions and peppers even though he asked for light on both of them. The sweet potato fries with my burger were not hot. When I asked where was my cheese our bartender/waitress said they'd bring me out a slice! HUH?!?! Typically I like my cheese melted on my burger but I didn't want to show my arse in front of my date. However when I started to assemble my burger while waiting for my cheese, I noticed that my bun was not toasted, as it was described on the menu. So I told my bar/waiter that I just wanted to send the burger back so they could do it right. She took it back. Meanwhile, my date is halfway done with his food, and then 3 minutes later out comes a young man with a slice of cold cheese on a plate for the burger I sent back over 5 minutes ago. Soooo, we're watching several of the servers come behind the bar to make mixed drinks. Any of the drinks that called for crushed ice, I feel sorry for whomever was drinking them. Seems the general practice for all of them is that they fill the glass with the crushed ice from the machine, then put their fingers on top of the ice to press it down so that more ice can fit!!! They do this a couple of times pressing their fingers on YOUR ice and then pour the ingredients on top SOOO GROSS!!!!!!! Glad I only had a beer. Anyway out comes my burger, now with bacon that I asked to be omitted!! OMG they just can't get it right, I took the bacon off, no biggie, I eat pork, I just didn't want any that day. Halfway into my burger, my date taps me and points...there's a damn roach crawling across the bar!!!! Dude behind the bar kills it discreetly but I'm done after this. We ask for our check-$58 damn dollars! which had the nerve to include a 16% service charge. Now I never complain, but this was just a bad experience from start to finish. I flagged down a manager and told her our troubles, and she did apologize for our experience and in the end we only paid for our two beers (so I made this one my treat LOL) But D&B needs to get it together on so many levels before I would think about going here again. read more

Went here last night 8-20-14 before hitting the casino. Absolutely the worst. We were seated, had to wait 15 minutes before I flagged down someone to ask about service. Then the server, bless her tried her best to take care of us but it was only her fist week on the job. She took our orders a party of three got everything right. Got our drinks out as quick as she could. The food got out a short time later, the food runner was rude and blatantly lied and said they had no more lettuce when we asked for lettuce and tomato with the original orders. He said and I quote "we ain't got no lettuce, but I brought you tomato though, what you want me to do." Then two other tables that came after us were served with lettuce all over their plates. So that aggravated me. The fries were super salty had to send them back. So I asked for a manager he came talked to us said he would try and rectify the situation left and we never saw him again. Management at this location absolutely SUCKS. I was going to celebrate my 21st birthday here -- had about a party of 20 people. All who were either 20 years of age or older. Because a few locations card and expect 21 and up, I called ahead of time to this location to make sure it was 18 and up (AS LISTED ON THEIR OWN PERSONAL WEBSITE) to confirm. The employee I spoke to over the phone clearly said over and over again to me, yes we are 18 and up; not 21 and up; you and your party will be fine come Saturday. As I get to this location, there's a line at the door with the MANAGER carding people. I get to the front and speak to the manager asking him what is going on. He says we are carding people, you must be 21 and up. I tell him about my previous conversation with an employee that works at his establishment and all he says to me is "oh well, we have a 21 and up policy that just started".... WTF If you were going to start a 21 and up policy on the weekend, your employees should have been well aware of it so that they can inform people like me who are CALLING AHEAD OF TIME to ask about age requirements. I was absolutely livid. The manager was SO rude and gave absolutely no consideration or concern to my problem (not to mention the 20 people behind me that were coming all the way to Baltimore to celebrate my birthday with me). DO NOT go to this location until they change managers. I will DEFINITELY be calling corporate and complaining as well. Even if the policy had changed and the manager was nice about it, I would have been fine. customer service seriously sucks! I swiped about 3 times and the game took my money each time, but never gave the coins to play it. I called for an employee, she arrived 10 minutes later. After trying to fix the game for another 15 minutes she asked for my card. I gave her my card and I followed her. She loaded the game points back in my card. About 30 minutes later, same thing happened with another defective game. Same employee arrived to help. This time she states, "DO NOT FOLLOW ME, IF YOU FOLLOW ME I WILL TAKE TWICE AS LONG"... I said ok, just want to make it easier for you to give me me card back. So I don't follow her and SHE NEVER BRINGS ME MY CARD BACK! My card has about 2000 tickets on it too. I had to wait another 40 minutes to find her and finally get my card back! Her excuse was " I COULD NOT FIND YOU", even though I was exactly where she told me to wait... I waited 40 mintues! TRASHY DAVE'S! ... I am not surprised by the bad reviews. I had a horrible experience with a waitress freaking out and yelling at me. I am a great tipper so she probably blew a great tip for the night. I told the manager about her and he was apologetic but also I wrote D&B and told them my concerns but they didn't respond. I would have expected some type of comment to my feedback from a professional organization. But since they decided I wasn't important enough to respond to, I am never going back. Me and a group of friends decided to go to late night bowling at this location. First the getting in the door was a complete show, there were groups of kids trying to talk there way into the door. My question is why isn't there a police officer at the door to help with crowd control. So we finally get in and to the lanes and it's a hour and thirty min wait. Ok cool I leave my number and wait for my call or text to tell me my lane is ready. So we play a few games get a few drinks enjoy the night. Now a hour and maybe 15 mins go by its maybe 11:30 and no call no text so I go back to check on the lane. He sends me to lane 4. The table wasn't clean and there were bowling shoes everywhere!!! So I get a young lady to come over and clean the table at least. So I said by the third go around I'll try and find a waitress to get our food order. Here comes the third row and now I'm searching for a waitress. Come to find out the young lady I asked to send someone over was my waitress but did she come no. So I hear last call for food and drinks, still no one has came over to see us or wait on us. So I have to order my drinks from the bar. I asked if I can do my food order with him he says no you have to get a waitress. Oh great this again, so I go over to their like area and two of them are right there one tells me "that's not her area and to go find Meagan." I'm like well who the hell is Meagan oh yea the girl that won't look me in the face or come my way. So again I hear last call so the bartender finally finds someone to get us food. I ordered wings usually when I come the wings are perfect not this time. They are wet and disgusting!!! By this point I'm thru and just want to leave. So I pay 12.00 for some nasty ass wings. So far, I've been here twice and both times were by accident!! The first time was with a friend and we were looking for a place on a weeknight to go chill. This place had a promotion where you could get a meal and play games on a card for about $15 bucks per person. Not bad I thought. The food was okay but it was just fun being an adult and running around like when you were a kid at Chuck E. Cheese's. The second time, I bowled at the full bowling alley they had. Although it was a bit dark, I liked it because it had a loungy feel rather than being all bright like most bowling alleys. Plus it had "booths" for each lane so you have privacy from other people. It was fun imagining that this was all in my basement or something. Added bonus is that there's a full bar that serves food too!! read more

C'mon Yelp, give me the option of zero stars! This location is the worst! Way too many people & games packed in way too little space. The best I can say for the staff is they're ambivalent. They could care less about the quality of your experience. It's clear all they care about is quitting time! Not exaggerating, nearly every game my kids played was out of tickets! They probably spent more time waiting for the techs to replace tickets than actually playing games. The adult pedophiles that seem to stalk this place hog all the good games (yes you dude who scores 999 on speed of light). It would seem to me that management should monitor this more! There should be a maximum capacity for this place. You can BARELY walk in a single file line and even thought I was holding my 6 year old's hand, we kept getting separated! I came in last night with a friend to catch up have some drinks and play some games!! The bartenders are HORRIBLE!!! they don't look you in the eyes they act like they don't even want to acknowledge that your even there! After 2 disgusting drinks we played some games than sat down to eat. The only area available at the bar was dirty we sat down n realized they may need a minute to clean it up so we didn't fuss...the male bartender too my order ignored my friend I had to walk over n tell him we weren't finished they NEVER cleaned the bar tip I had to use my linen as a place mat bc it was disgusting! I am restaurant manager! And I would never let thay go down in my establishment. I get it it's a big place but I guarantee there were atleast 2 or 3 managers there at the time I saw 2 different decently dressed managers myself! Come on guys I've worked in some difficult establishments but my Staff knew that if they weren't taking care of our guess they were out the door! There are plenty of people begging for jobs!! Especially in that area!! I will not be back and I will be contacting dave and busters personally to let them know about this! Makes me sad I love dave and busters and you were the only one left close to my house!! I hope you get it together! You might want to reconsider that automatic 18% as well!
