Came to this location last night for some drinks. Every time I've been to this location the same bar tender helps me. Brown haired guy with tattoos scattered across his arm. He was super cool. Had an impersonal experience at a bar previously and told him about my experience. He turned that experience I had into a more personal experience. I asked him to mix me a drink that's his signature. He asked if I wanted vodka or tequila. I'm a tequila girl so he made me a strawberry tequila mixed drink. It was great and ended my day on a better note! First time here....okay the bartender and drinks were actually good!! Great service and strong drinks. But I strongly agree with the prior reviews about the bathrooms. OMG THE WORST. Both times I went in there was no toilet paper or toilet seat covers! The trash cans were overflowing with paper towel and trash on the ground. Let's not even get into the toilets themselves. Always a great time here! One of the servers looks just like Kevin from this is us and I regrettably did not get his name. He makes THE BEST drinks and is so cool! I have heard of Dave & Buster's before but never stopped into one until a recent hockey tournament trip to Irvine. Our team dropped in after a game for a late lunch. We arrived to a fairly slow time of the day and were able to take over an entire section. Each table had a sticker with a QR code to allow for ordering by phone. The method was easy and the customization of the dish without any difficulty. In fact the entire order phone process was impressive up to the point of putting the order through. A black screen with a spinning circle indicates the order is processing. Everyone in my group watched it spin and spin and spin. Eventually one by one each one of us noticed the order come up on the servers screen near us at his station. That is, all but mine. My server had to go to the kitchen to verify that the order made it. When he came back to tell me, my circle was still spinning five minutes after putting the order through. My son had the pepperoni pizza and I took a bite of his and it was pretty darn good. I had a Philly Cheesesteak which is a French Dip with mushroom burger on a roll that was juicy all topped with garden fresh veggies. I was quite impressed by it and would love to have it again. The arcade section is much like that of Chuck E. Cheese's. You are playing for tickets to redeem at the store and walk away with basically nothing. I guess I look at this as gambling. If you go in knowing you're gonna lose lots of money but you're doing it for the entertainment then that's not a problem. We set a budget of the minimum required purchase price of $25 which gave my nine year old or a good time to be had. There was a really good selection of games and it was a huge area. The one thing I didn't realize is there is also a bar in the area so parents can enjoy themselves while kids are playing games. To me this is actually a problem for younger kids to be in this environment. If I had known prior I would've not let my boy play by himself and I would have been there with him the entire time. It's not to say that this is not a safe area because of the people there but it is a very large area with a mass of bodies. It was really hard to find my son when I went to go looking for him. I would heavily encourage any parent with young children to tagalong with their kids while they play their games. Overall this was a really fun and good place to eat. We were there during the NFL playoff game with the Cincinnati Bengals against the Las Vegas traders. It was a great game to see the Bengals win. So yes, it was a good day. read more

They advertised on their screen inside the restaurant a bucket of twisted teas for $16 but they ran out of the twisted teas and gave us the sun cruiser tea instead but said they can't honor the bucket price any longer which I believe is not cool! Called the manager over to see if he would still honor the price but he said, sorry not our fault we ran out.....really? That's how you treat your customers due to poor management/planning on their part by not making sure they had enough in stock for the weekend! Poor customer satisfaction! read more

One of the worst services ever! Family of 8 was coming home in 1 car from San Diego to Oxnard. Of course we left SD late got traffic on the way home, mother n law was tried and wanted to come home before 2pm. I suggested we stop at a nice family Establishment like Dave & busters kids could go play I can watch RRRRAAAAIIIIDDDERSSS game it was a win win and we would leave at half time. Mother in law was angry because the salad took for ever to come out and WE DIDNT LEAVE AT half time. ( I knew we weren't going to leave at half time I wanted to stay for the whole rraiiiddder game!) Beers finally came out Warm. The bill was wrong 3 times the server Jeff was nice but just took for ever! We watched a whole raider and post game show. I was laying home sick for several days and finally got better couple of days ago . We decided to go enjoy our favorite place with whole family to Dave & Buster's . We always spend good amount of money here and never regret till this day after having a rude and disrespectful conversation with a David Area Operation Manager. I forgot my id in a car and my wife was trying to get alcohol drinks but unfortunately we got rejected because I don't have one. We had a long conversation with Manager name David why my way can't get a drink but David said that he is a Boss here and I need to run to my car right now and bring him my ID if I want to get a drink. I did that. David made me to run to a car and then suddenly when I came back with my id David said it's to late for me :( and I'm not going to get a drink :) so he made me to run to my car .. bring my id to show that he is a real boss here how he said . And final action was to reject my alcohol order to enjoy his power over a costumer . I think this action shows that working staff here is low trained to work in a service industry and deal with a conflict situation. Area operation Manager Davin was driven by his EGO to over use his authority to get satisfaction and feeling of control and power. That's not good Management skills and I bet stuff who works here have notes that I just described before a lot of. David moved this situation personal for no reason. Also he prohibited bartenders from selling drinks to my wife my wife with who he even haven't had a chance to talk saying that she will share her drink with me :) at this point David showing magical skills of predicting the future and also using his power in a way that not pleasant to clients. My wife felt humiliated and we think Mr Big Boss David actions is a scream of help inside his soul because he don't like his job but likes his Position in a building. We fell sorry for David. Thank you guys we love Dave&Buster and recommend coming here! But my own experience suggests you to train or pay more your workers so they are not that mad at their work leaving their EGO at home. It's a Thursday on a "game day". We are here for the ayce wings. The service is slow. They are nice but the speed at which servers get to you is crazy slow. I think I sat for 15 minutes before anyone came to me. There's an employee who "directs" people where to go but I use direct loosely. He just says sit anywhere. He doesn't take any order. He just stands there. I question what his job is. I think he only ever directs large groups of people to table. New plates and utensils are dirty. The plates we received had residue sauce on it and the napkins wrapping the utensils have sauce prints on them. One of the plates had a white crust like Krispy Kreme glaze. Food is taking 15+ minutes to prepare. The screens are large and clear. The floors are decently clean but a bit sticky. The restroom is a mile away. I appreciate one of the waitresses at least giving us an update every 15 minutes between orders of wings. We decided to queue up wing orders to not be excessively between wings. Wings a mid. Only flavors are plain, honey bbq and buffalo. They are decently large but lack consistency. First batch was cook well but the second and third batch felt overcooked and was comparable to frozen wings. read more

The menus at the Irvine Spectrum location are FILTHY!!! We have visited twice this summer and ate in the midway area (game room) and both times the menu pages stick together and you can "hear the page turning". We were there today and same experience ... they also smelt bad. It would be awesome if the staff would wipe down the menus for hygiene purposes. We visit close to opening so it isn't a result of a busy day but rather of not caring about the facilities. Aside from that, they keep changing up the game offerings so there is always something new. I've been coming here since I was a kid, but my service on Monday is making me rethink taking my business here. I showed up (on my birthday nonetheless), with a few old cards that had some playing credits and tickets on it. My boyfriend and I decided to use the remainder of the playing credits that we had. When we went to the prize booth, we thought we had enough tickets to purchase a certain prize, and so we went to the kiosk to get it. The attendant was unfriendly for the entire experience. He complained that the cards we had were "old" so he would have to swipe them instead of tap them (how hard is it to swipe a few cards?) As he swiped each card, he would throw it down aggressively on the table and say "you need more" with a spleenful tone. We had about 7 cards (these were accumulated after YEARS of going to D&B), and each time he aggressively threw them down on the table and sternly said "you need more" or "you don't have enough" We ended up not having enough tickets overall, which was fine. Sure, I could've picked another items to get, but his poor attitude and aggressive behavior ruined my mood, so we left. For an establishment that serves a lot of kids, this behavior is not okay. If i was a kid and an employee acted this way towards me, who knows how I would have reacted! I'm so upset having to write this review since D&B's has been a cherished arcade of mine for years. read more

Used to choose this DnB for football Sundays often during the season, but had not visited recently since everything reopened. Sadly, this will be the last Sunday my friends and I will meet here. I'll start by saying that the bartender did give great service and had a very positive attitude, that part was the highlight of this visit. The food however.... I understand there's chicken shortages, but really? Worst wings I've ever had. Horrible consistency and tasted like a budget freezer bag from the grocery store. There used to be great wings here. My friends chicken sandwich was super dry, which he ate bits and pieces of one 1/2 of it and wasted the rest. The menu is so limited now (about 1/4 the size) as well. After seeing the rest of these reviews sober the last 5-6 months. Seems like it's a theme here. Several better options in this center alone. read more

My wife and I had dinner and drinks the other night at Dave & Busters and our server Damian was incredible, we have been going there since the place has opened and the staff most of the time are not very attentive. I've been here before just to play games. I visited last weekend for dinner with a group of ten people. It was so hard to get a table in the dining area because it was so unorganized. Yet they had more than enough people at the register to charge/refill game cards. I was very disappointed with their set up. I waited an hour even though there were plenty of empty tables. I would have just gone somewhere else to eat if it were up to me to decide for the group! But we ended up getting seated after all ten of us pressured the poor guy with our presence (and taking up a lot of space in the walkway). Games: better than Round 1, in my opinion. There are fewer claw machines and photo booths for sure, but it's not hard to rack up digital tickets on your card. I like the piano game! Prizes: I like their selection, but most big prizes are so costly! Food: overpriced food with average quality. Drinks are ok; their cocktails are fun! Parking: lots of free parking in the lots or structure at Irvine Spectrum. Coming from the I5, there's signs that will direct you. Currently, though, construction is going on in the structure. Notes: if you have a card from another location, get it reset at the card table in the front. Eat + Play combo only works on weekdays. Signing up for their loyalty program gets you a coupon for bogo $10 game play, but the email takes 48 hours to send. read more

I had a great time and it was my daughter Felicity's first time. I got the chimichurri bowl and was surprised to see that it wasn't a bowl but a plate and the portion was generous. The vegetables were so fresh and grilled to perfection. The rice was amazing too. I also got the strawberry lemonade and it was great! I loved the paying option where you can pay from your table by scanning the table. My tab was automatically in there and I didn't have to wait for the server. Also, the restrooms were clean and very spacious and they had a nice changing area to change my baby. We had a great time and will come back again, Lord willing. read more

This place is pretty amazing, a bunch of giant TV's for most sports, pool tables, video games, food, and adult beverages. Great place to do parties, events, or just a night out. Only knock I have about this place is that they need to have two pool table rooms one private and one public. The one room they have is public but if a party reserves it they don't allow anybody else to get on any of the other pool tables. Also had food here but was not impressed. We had the unlimited wings, bbq ribs, and sliders. Wings were more batter than wing, ribs were over cooked, and slider meat looked like cafeteria food. Enjoyed the drinks but prob won't eat here again, price doesn't match the value of the food. Bathroom cleanliness is horrible, most of the time is bad only when they have a bathroom attendant working the restroom. read more

This place has really gone down hill. I don't like there new system. You have to order everything through their app. No menus, or just telling the waitress what you want to eat. Food was fine and arcade basketball is always fun. The experience today is based on the restaurant service. Took 5 people at the host desk to check if the waiter "wants to help" us. Certainly not understaffed but it seemed like everyone was in-training, which is certainly possible while we're in the pandemic. Food was ordered via the phone, so aside from the hostess seating us and the food brought out by someone else, our waitress was nonexistent until she came by to say the beer ordered and already paid for wasn't available. No rounds made for silverware or napkins. Maybe it's the hybrid approach of wait staff and web orders, but there seems to be a disconnect in overall service. Just got home from D&B and needed to write this review for the bartender Ali or Ally! My group of 4 came in at 10 pm for happy hour, we order our first and second round of drinks when we sat down. By 11pm we order our drinks for last call, keep in mind this is an hour before they close. Thirty minutes go by and we are still waiting for our drinks so we talk to our server who ends up saying that the bartender did not WANT to make our drinks and when management (David) was spoken to they said that if the bartender didn't want to make it then go by what they say. That was a very unsettling experience when going to an establishment as big as D&B, to have a bartender (Ally) who is refusing to do her job which is to serve customers drinks as well as management (David) to go along with her incompetence. If there were an option to choose zero stars, I would because my happy hour experience was interrupted by unprofessionalism and amateurish behaviors from staff!!! So if you enjoy being cut off EARLY for absolutely no good reason other than the bartender simply doesn't want to make your drinks because she can't handle the work load. Then by all means, come on down to Dave and Busters so you can wait an hour and a half just to be told that the bartender doesn't want to make your drinks! read more

By far one of the worst experiences I have had in being served. It was a Tuesday night around 7PM. We were a group of about 10 for a birthday celebration. The scene is set up in the dining area, about ten tables filled around us making it a semi-crowded however manageable room. The waiter, whom I have the largest problem with, started with a friendly smile and a slight off-demeanor taking our orders for food and drink. Easy enough right? Now to set it off this staff member REEKED of weed. I get it, sometimes we need to take the edge off and I accept drinking or smoking before work to relax the mind, however it becomes a dead give away when a waft of smells follow you, especially in the food business where scents play a large part in the consumption of food. With about a five minute conversation between each person while taking their order, sitting down at the table, and pushing his own personal business, he finally left to gather the orders. We proceeded to call two staff members passing by to get our drinks since it was 35 minute wait time before getting anything to our table and no sign of our original waiter working the floor. We also had to ask for the table set up (silverware, plates, and a reminder to our drinks). The food finally arrived first, the drinks 50 minutes after us sitting and receiving our meals. The waiter proceeded to come back to our table several times just to talk and continued to verbally inform us he had smoked previous to waiting us. The next request was plates for a cake that was brought. At this point it was about an hour and a half into the meal to where it took 30 minutes for that request. This brought us to getting silverware from other tables and going up to the bar for a second round of drinks, to where the bartender was a bit better but not by much. It took about 10 minutes to let her recognize I was hailing for a drink, fixing glasses and talking to other guests. Our night ended with the waiter telling us about his singing career and proceeding to sing to us, writing down his number on the receipt and asking someone in our party to text that number to another among our table, and about 35 minutes of screwing up the bill that he did not split properly after marking down the meals we ate. I met this man again when I had to go back to the waiting area to activate my play card since he neglected to account for. The manager put 40 free credits on it for me however did not proceed to apologize or even make eye contact with me. Dave & Busters was stuuuupid packed. Mind you it was a Saturday night so it was expected. I got overcharged because the server mixed up the checks. And I'm STILL dealing with the refund process. My check was supposed to be $56.00 and she charged me $122.00. I contacted customer service the day after (January 8th) and I still haven't gotten much response other than "they are working on it". The server was great though other than the mix up. But I will probably never come back because this is stupid that it's taking 2 weeks to get this figured out. Also Mind you I also tried calling Dave and busters but they have no phone line that actually goes to the establishment. So that's why I went online to submit my issue. 0/10 customer service experience. So I went to arcade games and had a full day pass. I had restrictions on which games I can play with that card. Problem is they only have handful of games I was eligible to play. Basketball, car racing, bike racing and some mission games where I had a gun and had to kill soldiers or dragons or Transformers. All in all I would like to see more variety which was included. Plus the food and drinks on Saturday are so expensive and not at all tasty ... quantity and taste both were not matching the price. Drinks lacked alcohol and so even after 2 drinks down, you wont feel anything. All in all I could only spend an hour in the arcade with the whole day pass and had couple of drinks and some food and it was okay but not a great experience as I had imagined. read more

We came here in March for my son's 9th birthday and everyone had a BLAST. We had a reservation from 10-12 which I thought might be too early but they had the run of the game area for an hour which was great as it did start to get busy later. I'd never been here before and we had a table on the stage in the main dining area and I was sending kids back to the game space without realizing how huge it was! If they're younger, you definitely need a few adults floating around back there to make sure no one gets lost. The kid's food was ok and we ordered some separate things for the few parents who stayed which was actually pretty good. The kids loved the self-service drinks station and we brought our own cupcakes. They all got credit for the games and spent ages in the store at the end and the service team were friendly and pretty relaxed about our leaving time. All in all as my son said: "I knew it was going to be super fun but I didn't realize it was going to be MEGA fun!" One star off for being pretty expensive and one server talked to us way too much but didn't really explain the different types of credit on the wristbands very well. read more

The bang bang chicken is something I always get at this location. I feel like they added WAYYY so much sauce on it this time but it still tasted pretty good.
