I went to dave and buster's,with a friend last thursday.We were there for an awesome,rocking buisness meeting!...anyway,i love this palce!...a great bar area,plenty of video games to keep the kids entertained,a party room,and good food!......i was not too hungry,so i had the small ceasar salad,for $4.95,and a diet coke.....salad was very good.....crisp,cool lettuce,croutons,and a savory ceasar dressing!.I know that i should have done this review,on a bigger meal,but i was still impressed with dave&buster's.plenty of free parking,and the party room,is great,for meetings,birthday parties,or family reunions!.hope to see YOU there next time!. read more

Took our hockey team for lunch in their party room. TERRIBLE AND I MEAN TERRIBLE service. Too big of a train wreck to even detail. Missed orders, wrong orders, slow service, manager called, finally sort of served. Then it took 4 staff including manager MORE time to separate the bill. Finally got the bill and they took off no discount for the terrible service and marginal food so I told her to go back and put a discount on there. A good manager would have put a discount on everyone's bill and after the apologies to attempt to get us to ever go back there. STAY AWAY until they figure out service issues!! The only reason I'm giving them 1 star is my mac and cheese was reasonably good. read more

Meh. I was not impressed. We walked in and stood by the hostess stand for 5 minutes before someone came to seat us. Then we sat at the table for 10 minutes before our server came. We ordered food and drinks all at once, just my fiance and me. Then he came back a couple minutes later, after we ordered but before we got srinks, and asked if we decided on food.... then the wrong food was brought out, and then the wrong bill was brought out. This place is a legitimate embarrassment to video games, 70% of the games do not work properly if Working at all. You are lucky if you can play a shooting game where both guns work properly. I really like DB but they need to enforce the curfew on the weekends. I don't want to look at kids after the curfew. Why have a rule if it's not enforced. It should have a bar like atmosphere where adults can do their thing. I don't even know why people bring their kids here, I saw a couple with a newborn at 11pm. Really? Wow. Anyways, the games are A1, the drinks are hit or miss and I haven't tried the food because it looks overpriced for the quality. I can eat at all the restaurants in the Maple Grove area. We arrived around 6:00 on a Thursday evening. It wasn't very busy, and we were seated immediately. Our server never showed up until we went back to the host and asked for help. He found somebody else to take our drink orders and find our server, this was about 20 minutes into our visit. We had to ask for silverware. We had to ask for plates for our appetizers. The food was so/so and overpriced. The games were so/so. Bottom line, the service was terrible and you don't get what you pay for. read more

I read a few of the reviews of this Dave and Buster's before actually going there. And I must say, a lot of them are probably outdated. I was on an outing with my mom, my friend and his mother. We were seated almost instantly. My friend and I took about two to three minutes to survey the arcade to see what kinds of games they had (Mostly because we're game enthusiasts, but that's besides the point). We came back to our table, and the server was already taking orders. We received our food in possibly less than 20 minutes, which honestly wasn't long at all (taking into account that there were four people situated at our table). The food was great - I had the Eat and Play Chicken Taco platter. The food was excellent, to say the least. Filling, too. However, as an avid gamer, I thought the arcade selection was a tad sub-par. I personally have a thing against games that disperse tickets, mostly because they require vast amounts of luck to win. I could estimate that almost half of the arcade (which wasn't too big at all) were luck-based. I didn't come to an arcade to gamble my money away, that's what casinos are for! It's almost like a gambler-in-training play place, in lighter terms. The other half of the arcade was okay at best. One thing that disturbed me a little was the Fruit Ninja arcade game. Seriously? I didn't come to an arcade to play things that I could have on my iPod Touch (or at a nearby Apple store)! I was disappointed by a few other games, such as a seemingly brand-new multi-player Pac-Man machine. I could have played that online or the local Mom-and-Pop diner in my town. Basketball machines - could just play that at the local park. Needless to say, most of the rest of the arcade was just racing and shooting games. That might just be because of American culture, but still, I felt like the arcade felt a little lop-sided when it came to the variance of game genres. It wasn't all bad, though. There were some new games there since last time I visited - a new Infinity Blade arcade machine with TouchFX controls (Although I didn't have time to play this, I should expect more of these types of games in the future!) and the Pac-Man multi-player machine. Other notable machines were this trivia game I didn't mentally note, Guitar Hero Arcade, the famed Derby Owners Club and Pump It Up New Xenesis. Should you come here if: You don't like to play games? Only if it's your kid's birthday. You're 5-13 years old? Definitely. You're a young adult? Perhaps. You're passionate about games? Turn away and walk out of the door. Of course, I can't just submit a review and not give constructive criticism. I'm not expecting the owners of this Dave and Busters to read this particular review, but some arcade machines I know are popular (across different gaming communities): - Mario Kart GP (EVERYONE loves Mario Kart. Why not?) - F-Zero AX. (This used to be in the Gameworks in Minneapolis. Tons of fun.) - Pop'N Music and/or Beatmania IIDX. (There is a large and growing Bemani fanbase, but a lack of rhythm games in the Midwest besides DDR [and the Pop'n Music machine in Rosedale]). - Street Fighter multi-player/single-player cabinets. (There's a big fanbase for this game, too. You could even hold tournaments and attract even more traffic. Great from a business standpoint.) - There seemed to be a slight imbalance of action/adventure games - just Infinity Blade. I could suggest Gauntlet: Dark Legacy - oldie, but a goodie. Probably cheaper than most arcade cabinets. So, in summary: The arcade comes off as a money leech, and there isn't too much of a variety of games. It seems like this particular Dave and Busters is in the process of buying new machines, but slowly. Of course, money doesn't appear out of nowhere. I hope to see great things out of this Dave and Busters in the years to come. There isn't much entertainment for teenagers in America, and the arcade industry is vastly undermined, especially in the Midwest. All teenagers have here are cinemas, eye shopping at malls and Best Buy. Where's the fun for us? Consider this a tip from a 19 year old gamer! Thanks for the entertainment though! As harsh as the rating is, it's only from a gamer standpoint. Keep in mind your audience - the people coming for your arcade are not just ten year old birthday parties! read more

Got here at 5:15, we were seated, and forgotten about for 25 min. We has to flag someone down, then 2 people went in search of our server, rather that just getting us started. the server had almost no idea how power cards work. She also had to ask my order 3 times. Then before she left, she asked if I needed a soda refill... I didn't have soda, I had ordered a miller lite. Then she came back and asked for my food order a 4th time. The whole restaurant seemed disorganized. They are way too expensive, to have such poor service. They must have poor management, and even worse training. We spent over 200 dollars, on sub par food and over priced games. I would recommend just going to chuckie cheese. read more

I have been forgetful to update my review, but since the Head Honcho of Dave and Busters was kind enough to reach out to me regarding my review, I feel obligated to give them an update. They offered me a $100 to come back and give them another try, so I did, two more times. They do get a bump up from 1 star, but no more than that. I have figured out after three visits That NO ONE should come here for dinner. Because that is where the worst of experiences happen. My friends dinner was terrible. Food took forever and a day to come out. When we all finally did get out meals we asked for silverware because none of us had any. A couple minutes passed and the server did not return, so we asked another server and she said no problem. Well she never came back either. I refuse to eat pasta with my hands, so I went and told the hostess we need silverware and now! Even after we got our forks the disappointment did not end there. We wanted refills and more drinks, but we never saw our server again. So we had to go up to the bar and get our own drinks. I warned my sister-in-law to not have her sons birthday here, but she said it is what he wanted. She quickly regretted it. We had a group of about 20 and were split up into two tables on other sides of the party room. Which I did not understand, we had reservations, so why aren't our tables next to each other? We told the server to have all the bills split and she said sure no problem and even went through to trouble of ordering one family at a time. When the bill came, it was ONE long very expensive tab given to my sister-in-law. Her reaction was, "we told you we wanted our bills separate!" The server said she could not do it. (Bull, I have been here two other times and they split the tabs) This server did not even split it by table! So, we sat around for another 20 minuets, trying to figure out what 20+ people ordered. The server was getting mad because she had to keep running back and forth to run credit cards. The only reason they get a one star bump up is because I have never been unhappy with the bar service. We arrived at 6pm with 5 adults. We understood that it would be busy out and anticipated a wait. There was a 45 min. wait. My receipt it says our server's name was Matt K. but our waitress was Mallory. She was cold, unfocused and appeared very rushed. Mallory got our drink orders and appeared very uncomfortable. She asked us for I.D.s as my brothers ordered beers. I informed her that we have an open tab and would like to transfer it. Mallory talked to the bartender and stated he requested we close our tab because she didn't want to get a manager to transfer the tab. I was agreeable and closed it. We were not ready to order right away so she left. Once she returned with our drinks, we did not see her again for a good thirty minutes. It was not until I caught her eye at the register that she finally did return. We asked for straws because she did not give us any and my sister was looking for something to sip her pure patron drink. We asked for a glass of water because my sister was not feeling good. Mallory said she would get it right away. Our food arrived at 9:40pm. A couple rushed to drop off our food. Mallory popped in once to ask how the food was but remembered she forgot the water and left. Two of our dishes were both supposed to have bacon wrapped around the kabobs and there was none. After we ate Mallory stopped by to give us our bill. I asked for a menu for desserts. She also finally brought us the glass of water and steered us away from the brownie-ice cream dessert because "the brownies have not been very good lately." We shared a fondue plate that had brownies! I asked Mallory if she could take away some plates because we did not have space to share the dessert. She told us, "We have busser. I don't know where they are but they should be doing this." She took our plates and we requested utensils since we received none for dessert. After this experience I am very unlikely to return to Dave and Busters at Maple Grove, MN. on a trip to minnesota with my friend, we stopped in at dave and busters for we don't have that in the seattle area, but they tease us all the time with their commercials on cable tv. it's like a chuck e cheese for adults and children, but much better variety of food and better food in general. even the prices are better and you get the after meal entertainment at the arcade and carnival type game area. the eat n play combo is the best, huge portions of food and game time for less than $20. it's kind of like the cheesecake factory meets chuck e cheese. i wish they had a dave and busters here, i would take my family there and have a good time. the parking lot is huge, the ambiance, dim lit at night, but loud and fun because of the entertainment. read more

I came in with a large group on a Sunday (1/17/15). After being told the wait for a table was upwards of 1 hour, we tried to grab some tables in the bar to order appetizers. We were told this was not allowed, but with nothing else to do but stand in the freezing entryway, we waited until some tables opened up in the bar and sat down. We were PAYING customers at this point as we ordered appetizers and drinks, just like everyone else in the bar. We were treated extremely rudely by our horrible server, Casey. Casey was rude to our entire party. Casey checked on us rarely, and when she did there was attitude. Casey never gave us pens with which to sign our bills. I can count on one hand the number of times I've tipped a server less than 20%, but Casey got less than 10% for my wife and I's experienced. She's lucky she got anything at all. Food is subpar and the service is just terrible. You seat yourself in the game area and then wait 20 minutes for a server to notice you. When they finally come they take your order and that's basically the last time you see them before the check. When the check finally comes to the table we told him we'd like separate checks actually because he never asked. He didn't seem to pay any mind about making sure what was going to who because when he split them he did it wrong. We didn't want to fight it anymore so we dealt with it among ourselves. When he came back to run our cards he stacked them inefficiently and it showed when he ran the wrong cards to each receipt. Again we dealt with it ourselves because he was clearly not coming back and was definitely stoned. Maybe that's where he was during our whole meal. Teens loved the atmosphere and games but we definitely won't come back for the food. Small portions potentially at an edible temperature for a laughable price. read more

I am so mad at them. I was there for a birthday party. I wanted to do the right thing and pay my bill before I took my 4 year old out to play. The food was ok and my 4 year old had fun playing games. My bill was $125.98. But on Sunday when I checked my bank they authorized $392.48. When I called and asked about it I was told by a manager I was charged for the whole group even though we all had separate bills. And to wait to see if the whole thing clears then they will give refunds. Who these days has $267.00 that can just be on hold for something you did not buy. What if that was all the money I had. How am I suppose to feed my family . I was going to have my daughters birthday party there but not anymore. I have been to a lot of parties with big groups at different places and this is the first time one persons has been charged for every one even though we has separate bills. The kids love the game part but this place has the worst food in Minnesota. I have had the ribs and turkey burger. They don't even try on the food. I am not a foodie. I would eat McDonalds or Mannys a million times before I would eat here again. They have to know how bad the food is. My kid ordered their double cheeseburger and without me telling him what I thought he said dad I can't eat this it has no taste. This is an edit of a previous 4 star review. I have had fun experiences here in the past but this last visit has ruined them all for me! My group (celebrating a birthday) arrived and was told that it would be about a 15 minute wait for a table, which was fine as we wanted to play some games anyway. We were given a buzzer and went off to play games. Almost an hour later we hadn't been called to our table. When we inquired as to why our table wasn't ready, the host said that they had seated a bunch of fantasy football groups and there weren't any tables available anymore. So while we were waiting for a table, they just seated everyone else before us! It was almost an hour and a half before we were eventually seated. And it just went downhill from there; our waiter dropped an entire tray of our food on the floor, when we finally got the food half of it wasn't what we ordered, items were missing, and the free birthday dessert was just vanilla ice cream covered in whipped cream. For all of this we got exactly one very half-assed apology. I think it's safe to say that my group and I will not be returning. read more

Came to Dave & Busters for a good time with our daughter. We decided we would eat in the restaurant at around 2:00 p.m. This was a debacle from the start. The hostess had no people skills, she just grabbed enough menus and started walking away. Then after we were seated it took 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were even there. Another 10 minutes to get a waiter. So we ordered everything right away because we rarely saw this guy. Spent most of his time on the other side. Had to ask multiple times for a spoon. They charged us three different times for 1 bill. My family and I have been displaced by a fire and wanted to get your if the hotel for a bit. We are charged $113, $107 and $130. The only correct amount is for $130. They cannot do anything about this until Monday. I asked to see the GM and he said sorry about your house but I am not giving you a free meal. I don't want a free meal, I want you to do the right thing and only charge what I owe instead of three times the amount. Then he went to snatch back the game cards that they tried to give us to make everything better for over charging and not being able to do anything about until Monday. That GM should not be in management, and definitely needs a brush up on his people skills. I never said I wanted anything free, and you shouldn't assume that. We had a great dinner even though it wasn't busy and our server was hard to find. But he made it up in his personality for sure .. at the end of the night we wanted all our points and tickets on one card because we had a hand full of them and we're sick of trying to remember what one was what... we went to the bar to have the bartender do that for us. After we got the card back we checked the tickets and over half of them were missing and so was on of our cards ... so we went back to the bar and waited a long while since there was only one bartender on and a full bar. This was my first ever time at a Dave and Buster's; my friends and I came to celebrate a bachelor party. We kept refering to DNBs as the promised land and were super excited to get our geek on. Unfortunately when we arrived we were not as pleased as originally hoped. We were immediately told we could not sit in the area we wanted because we bad too large of a party and were instead sat in a corner with table pushed together and a door Next to us that is constantly being used by others guests. Our server was seemingly less Than thrilled to take our orders and serve us as he ignored several of our requests for more information and walked away several times, i never Ended up getting a glass of water and waited 15 minutes for a Stella Atrois that tasted like michelob golden. After we finally got our Food order in the server told us to go play games but never bothered trying to tell us when our Food was done. The games were a lot of fun but our Food was ice cold. The manager stopped by but didn't seem interested in how we were doing she just wanted to drop off another Item our server forgot. To conclude, my bill came to over $40 dollars because I was forced to pay 18% gratuity for a cold double cheese burger and fries, a game card, a premium beer that was not what I ordered and was completely flat and the worst service I have ever recieved. To top it all off I can't even tell you the servers name because his nametag said "Golf" and was mostly illegible, he didn't even introduce himself. We were there maybe 3 or 4 hours and I think the server did less than 5 minutes of work on us, but thats okay he didnt do much because he still got a ton of money from us right? Games are fun but you would NEVER make it in the restaurant business without those games. If I ever return I Hope this business tries harder and the service sucks less. read more

Food was ok...nothing to right home about. The atmosphere is fun. My problem is with the games and the credit system they use. Whenever I go there I've ended up with multiple cards (once for a work Christmas party where coworkers gave me cards they weren't using, once with my wife where we both had cards, etc). You need to get an employee to combine cards onto one. Twice now I've noticed I ended up with fewer points after the cards are combined. The first time I had more than 40 credits on one of the cards but after they combined the cards, there was less than 10 total. Then last night we had 2.8 points on one and 4.3 points on another. I know this because I checked specifically before going to the waitress. We couldn't play any games with the cards on their own but combined, we could. Once the waitress added the credits together, I had 0.5 credits. I explained this to the waitress but she didn't really care. She pointed to the "0.5" on the screen and to her, that was the end of it. I know it doesn't seem like much but it's annoying. If you're ever in that situation, make sure the employee sees the number of credits on each card before they combine them. As for me? Fool me once, shame on them. Fool me twice, shame on me.
