Came to date night with my husband..... Didn't play too much because it's not as big as we are used to with other Dave and Busters we've been in. So really came for the food and drinks. The bartender was great. He stayed attentive. He had funny and entertaining conversation. I got the garlic fries (they were just ok, a bit soggy) and the chili lime wings.... The wings were great, crispy and spicy. We enjoyed ourselves but we also sat at the bar and ate dinner and had a few cocktails. I would go again. read more

We finally decided to check out the Dave and Buster's Reno last night as a family. We had a 5:30 hreservation and were seated with Bianca. I was anticipating this location was bigger from it's outter appearance. Service as a whole started off very slow to start with just waters. I found it strange and unsanitary that there were share plates just left on each table. Bianca greeted us and took the time to explain the eat and play combo deals. We took advantage of a few of them to use the credits after dining. We ordered a spinach dip for the table to start. I ordered fish and chips, kids ordered a chicken quesadilla, chili lime wings dinner, a kids cheese pizza and my old man ordered the steak. They have an extensive menu and we were impressed with the quality and taste of our food. We played for a few hours and still have plenty of credits to spare for our next visit. We enjoyed our food and drinks. Kudos to your kitchen! We had a great family night and thank you Bianca. We headed to Dave & Busters for lunch at their new Summit location. The building is very unassuming judging from the outside but once you step foot inside; it's a total sensory overload: jumbo-screen t.v.s are turned up full blast and all the sounds from the arcade on the other side of the room drowning any conversation you'll ever hope to have with your table-mates or your server. The day we dined (last Sunday), the server informed us they were sold out of salmon and the steaks; interesting because we made a reservation for 1:15pm and they were already sold out. We started off with a round of drinks: soda, iced teas and a mangorita mocktail plus a complimentary glass of water our server graciously brought over. For starters we ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and the pretzel dog. For our entrees we ordered the Philly Cheesesteaks, Bone-in Garlic-Parmesan Chicken Wings, Crispy Chicken Sandwich and a Double Cheeseburger (because they were out of the Bacon Cheeseburger). The drinks and appetizers arrived in a timely manner; I liked Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls and everyone seemed to enjoy the pretzel dogs (the dogs just kept slipping out of the pretzel wraps though). Our entrees were delivered to our table a few minutes after we finished with the appetizers and they were just alright: the cheeseburger fell apart at first bite which forced my sister to eat it with a knife and fork, the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was equally as messy and splatter my brother's shirt with grease-stains (which probably permanently ruined his shirt), my niece's "Crispy" Chicken sandwich wasn't crispy; she said it was soggy and tasted of sadness. Lastly, my bone-in Garlic-Parmesan Chicken Wings were good but I've had better. The best part of our meal was the dessert; we ordered the funnel cake "fries" and it was a tasty treat but not overly sweet or decadent. The service was good but ambiance made it difficult to communicate. The arcade side was a fun first visit but many of the games warranted repeat play except maybe the "Stranger Things" game-- that was a challenge and a blast to play. Overall, we had an interesting first impression of Dave & Buster's but overall, it was too loud and not being able to carry a decent conversation with anyone was a turn off plus the food was mediocre. I grew up with a D&B and always enjoyed the experience as a kid, but as an adult, I'm updating my review based on my collective experiences in the restaurant, which sadly, has consistently delivered an inconsistent experience, with the core issue stemming from staff and management that are either unaware of what's necessary to operate efficiently and support guests or simply not trained enough to accomplish the goal. This most recent visit was the worst, and as it unfolded I found out that my wife had some of the same experience on a previous visit. We made a reservation for 7pm as a party of 6 as soon as we arrived. On Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays they have a 10 Wings for $10 deal, and the wings are pretty good, so we were excited. We hit the arcade and arrived to check-in just before 7pm and found an empty host stand. We were seated about 10 minutes later at 7:05 and didn't receive our order until about 7:50pm. This was a surprise because the restaurant was super slow for a football sunday, with the private/overflow area closed and only another 5-8 tables in the main dining room. Once the food did arrive, we found it was incorrect, with all three orders of chicken wings only having 8 of the 10 wings. Apparently this happened to my wife on a previous visit as well. The server had the kitchen make us each two more wings to complete the order, but we waited another 10-15 minutes for those to arrive. The promo is on the table tent too, facing the servers at every table. When we got the bill we found: 1) Wings were charged at $15.99 and boneless at $18.99 2) Root beer had accidentally been rang in 3) Multiple upcharges were included while the server asked the guests "Would you like BLANK with your meal" or "What side would you like with that kids meal" without mention of these items being upcharged 1i.e. garlic toast, fries with kids entrees After mentioning 1 and 2 to the server (Emily), instead of re-ringing the check to show the promotions and remove the item she accidentally ordered, the server and manager decided to do some odd math and apply a generic one line credit to the bill. I then had to ask what the credit was for to understand what it accomplished. I'm not sure why I didn't mention the upcharges then, nor did I catch that my kid's meal had a $4 charge for fries, but failing to tell a patron that something will result in an upcharge is not good form, nor do I think it's how D& B trains their staff, so I'm hopeful this feedback is helpful. It adds up fast. In this case an additional almost $10 on our bill, equating to $2 more on tip as well. Lastly, the management doesn't seem to know how to work with the POS, and this is observed over three visits. Anything corrective i.e. voids, corrections, promotions, seems to be very difficult for them and I don't understand why. On this visit I noticed a "NEW" dine + play package for $60 that included a 90 min card and an entree. We'd just bought the 90 min card at the kiosk but didn't realize they offered this package, so as soon as we sat down I inquired about paying the difference of $6 so we could get one of our entrees included. After the server spoke to the manager, they said there's nothing they could do. These are little moments to surprise and delight guests, teach them how to best experience the place, and make sure they leave saying wonderful things to everyone in the community, and instead, on each occasion in the restaurant I've left feeling something else. My first impression of Dave and Buster's Reno was simple. Fun. I came with my mom and my son, and all three of us had a great time. The atmosphere was lively, the food and drinks were solid, and it was a place everyone could enjoy. It is a bit on the pricier side, but the experience made it worth it. Our waiter Robert really made the visit memorable. He was funny, easy going, and great to talk to. The conversation flowed naturally, and he made us feel relaxed and welcomed the whole time. A fun outing with my grandson. Good menu options. I had the Philly Steak and cheese sandwich and fries and ur was very good. Went on a Monday afternoon which was prefect not crowded and kept us busy for a couple of hours. Great place to watch a sports while the kiddo run around having fun. Came in around 11:30am and basically had the place to ourselves--big win. We kicked things off at the bar with $3 Jell-O shots, served in syringe-style shooters (genius, by the way). Fun, easy, and on-theme. They've got plenty of beers on tap too. Tried the green tea shot--hard pass. Way too sweet, didn't look anything like the menu photo, and the portion was small for the price. Wouldn't recommend. We did the Eat & Play deal and it was worth it. Solid entrée selections. The double burger was the clear winner. The Goldfinger chicken strips? Not so much. The pieces were tiny and snack-sized, and the coleslaw was bland and honestly not good. Both came with fries. Pro tip: If you plan to play then eat, order at the kiosk first so you get your play card. You'll receive a receipt you can give to the bartender/server to order food after playing. If you order directly, your food goes straight to the kitchen. Service was friendly, and the place was immaculate--super clean and spotless. Plenty of seating and TV's to watch. Ample parking. Located at Summit Mall. All the D&B vibes you remember growing up. The game selection was fun, with some options you don't usually see at other spots in town. The mirrors make the space feel larger than it actually is. They also have good options for groups and parties. I was really disappointed with our experience. We were greeted by a very friendly young man who gave us a great first impression. He explained the menu, drinks, and arcade area, and we were excited to try this new place. He seated us and let us know the bartender would be right with us. Unfortunately, the bartender never came. We waited for 20 minutes while sitting at the bar, and although the bartender looked directly at us several times, we were never acknowledged. We were the only customers at the bar, which made the lack of service even more frustrating. We eventually left and went to BJ's instead. It's really unfortunate because we were genuinely looking forward to trying this place, but after that experience, we don't plan to return. The bartender could definitely benefit from additional customer service training, as experiences like this will drive customers away. read more

The arcade is decent but smallish and more expensive compared to others available in Reno. The ticket exchange rate for prizes didn't seem great, but the app works well and I like the personalization. There is a good variety of games that are new and we'll maintained for now. The bar seems like a good place to get a drink and watch a game but I haven't tried the food yet. The location is perfect to spend some time before seeing a movie next door. read more

You guys have to ensure you are serving a gluten free item to gluten free people. Completely unacceptable. When my burger was brought out I actually said, is this gluten free? Considering I'd been here a week ago and got the same thing... and this bun was the same as my husbands burger which was not gluten free. The guy said yes it is gluten free you can tell by the lavender stick in it.... I'm lucky that my burger was actually wrong and came with sauce on it that I had asked to be removed, so I sent it back. My new burger came out with the correct bun, and a lavender stick in that bun as well.... Luckily I'm not celiac but I do get sick from gluten. I never want to give one stars, I especially don't want to give one star to a business I'm trying to make a regular place to go.... I'll update next Thursday on how it went... still gonna try for a 5 star experience because I think it could happen. I reallllly like the smash burger!!! We wanted to do something with the kids to celebrate the end of summer, so a trip to Dave and Busters was ultimately decided on. We checked in with the host and were told it would be about a 30 minute wait. We hung around and received a text when our table was ready. Food menu is pretty extensive, but I thought it was strange that there didn't seem to be prices listed on the adult beverages. Anyways, we decided to do the eat and play combos. We opted for the $39 eat and play combo, which seemed like a really good value. Food- I would give the food a 3 star rating, but ultimately, I wasn't expecting much for a less than $5.00 entree, and all things considered, I think was a pretty good value. Games- I think the game play is where the combo really is a great value for the price. We got to play a ton of games for over an hour, which compared to some of the casino game rooms was a really great value, especially if you're comparing it to fast food prices. Anyways, I think if you go into it knowing that the food is not going to be the reason why you choose to dine here, you will be able to manage your expectations accordingly and can still have a decent meal and some great entertainment! read more

I came to visit the much anticipated Dave and Busters and although I'm not much into the games, I did want to check it out for when family comes to visit. I walked around and both kids and adults seemed to be having a good time and noticed that many of the games have huge screens. I did see two Security Personnel and there were various employees or as they are called, "Game Crew", wiping down machines and providing assistance to customers. All in all, the gaming area is very nice, although smaller than I envisioned. The Bar was another story. I found the Bartenders inexperienced and disconnected. We hadn't had dinner, so we figured we'd give it a try. I was expecting grill food, but there were actually some dinner entrées on the menu, so I ordered the Chicken Parm and my husband had the Cajun Shrimp Pasta. Both were underwhelming. In fact, I didn't like my Chicken Parm at all. There was no sauce on the pasta, just shredded Parmesan and the Chicken was served with sauce and cheese, but it just wasn't that great. To top it off, my husband ordered Wine and almost fell out of his seat when he saw it being pored from a can. Our fault for ordering wrong, but probably not motivated to come back any time soon. We've been here a handful of times, mostly to walk through and check things out. This most recent visit I noticed how every time we walk in there is absolutely not one employee in sight. I think Reno should step up their game and have greeters and people available to guide you right when you walk in. Anyways, this time we decided to play some games and it was a lot of fun, however, we ran into a few malfunctions with basketball and ski ball. Dave & Buster's is nice to have in South Reno when you have absolutely nothing to do. We haven't tried the restaurant here, but we do hear good things about their burger. I came here sunday to celebrate a friend's birthday. For a sunday, they were super short staffed it seemed like. It took a while for drinks to be made because there was only one bartender. Food was okay overall. The wings were decent, but unfortunately had a couple feathers still on them, which was a bit off putting. The spinach dip had good flavor, but the cheese was all congealed together instead of being smooth. On top of that, a lot of the food options were out of stock due to a late shipment, which limited choices. Service was great and easily the highlight of the visit. Our server checked in on us often and was very attentive. They even helped us troubleshoot the virtual dart board, which we really appreciated. Ambiance was exactly what you would expect from an adult arcade. Nothing too special overall, but the booths with virtual darts and shuffleboard were a fun touch and stood out compared to the rest of the space. My server Jazmyn was awesome and very attentive, she works at the bar area. The food is okay, but could been better. The batter is over cooked, but the cod is warm and moist, the tartare sauce could used a bit more seasoning, especially the fries. The fries definitely need seasoning, a little cilantro is nothing. It's needs salt. I would give 5 stars to Jazmyn ( server) 3 stars overall. 1) the food, is over cooked.. Jazmyn is apologetic but that's not her fault . 2) the biggest down fall of the night is the arcade area. While on the arcade are... one of the arcade attendant while sweeping he swept dirty cups onto my shoes, I called him out on it, he shrug his shoulders and walked away. It's seems like he is horse playing or didn't care. Wow this location has newer machines and it's so nicely maintained. Never thought I'd see cup holders with the wizard of oz coin pusher. Never thought I'd see tornado and cosmic tower!! However, it's strange how there's no exact front desk; only a hostess/host. Generally, if you have gift cards and want to use them, a human has to do it. Very very very odd how nobody at this location knew what was going on or how to recharge the power card with gift cards. BUT I appreciate how they resolved the issue and recharged my card. I didn't try any food or drink. Restrooms clean. Ticketed prizes (and there's a skateboard plus iPad!!) / WIN center is fully loaded and neatly arranged. Tech team is nice but strange how they operate vs what I'm used to. Lots of parking. read more

I can only rate based off of the drinks. Following a movie, some friends and I stuck our heads in to the Dave and Busters next door. wow, all of the games sounded fun where I wanted to jump in and try them out. I saw that starting priced for the tickets was about $28 so I said another time. My friends and I sat at the bar, we were attended right away. I wanted to order a Sparkling frozen raspberry rita but it seemed they were all out which was weird with it being a Saturday night. So I was offered strawberry. I went with that. It was really good. The food menu looks good as if there is something for everybody. I would love to come back to play around on the games and try other goodies. read more

My family and I visited Dave & Busters yesterday for the first time and it was not what we expected. The Arcade: the arcade was fun and very spacious. There was a variety of games and not one was out of order which was amazing. You also get a lot of games for the amount that you pay for . The down fall was the prizes. 300 tickets for a baby bottle pop?!! Like what that's ridiculous. Service: Seems like our server was new like it was probably his fist day new . He didn't really know the menu, he constantly forgot our drink orders, and he kept putting things in front of my 1 year old. When he took our drink order he took everyone's except my boyfriends. Food: We were 6 and a baby . I ordered Wings and a side of fries . The menu says you'll get wings with a side of celery stickS. My face was in shock when I saw my one little sad celery stick by itself. My boyfriends niece ordered a chicken salad and that was the saddest chicken breast I had ever seen it was super thin and rubbery . My son got the chicken strips that he didn't want to eat cause they too were supper rubbery as if they made them and then stuck them in the microwave rubbery/dry. My sister in law got a burger and fries and she spent the night throwing up the burger. The others got a variety of stuff and they were all subpar . We also got fried pickles as an appetizer which were the smallest pickles I've seen and not really fried texture more like flimsy. Overall I would not recommend to eat at Dave and busters . Hold on to your hat, dear reader. I'm about to drop a hot take that will blow your mind. You ready for this? Dave & Buster's has the best burger in Reno. There. I've said it and I'm not ashamed. I'm not going to review the games nor the experience. The wings were fine, the cocktails cheap ($6 margarita. It was happy hour) and weak (I had two, and barely felt a thing, dang it). Let's get to the real reason why we're here, okay? Unless this was some blue moon, one-off abnormality, the Buster's Bacon Smashed burger ($16.49) is an exquisite thing of beauty. Two smash-style burgers cooked to a perfect medium rare with a seasoned and charred exterior and a blushing rosy pink center swaddled in a boatload of applewood smoked bacon (I'd have to guess there were eight or so slices on this bad boy), melty American cheese, umami-rich bacon jam, crisp lettuce, cold tomato, snappy onion, and a house-made bacon aioli generously slathered across a toasted potato bun. This sucker was huge. I was hungry and I could only eat half. It held together well and didn't melt into a greasy puddle of bread and meat as other, more careless burgers do. It held its head up high, and maintained a high-level integrity throughout, as a lady of virtue might do on her wedding night. If they can keep these coming just as they did that one fateful night, then it is the burger I wish to have and to hold from this day forward, to love and to cherish, till death us do part. I expected things to be pricey, but the drinks didn't even seem to have much alcohol in it for $15!!!! My first complaint begins on the website where no accurate prices are displayed for food, beverages or games. The practice continues on the MENUS. Our server offered to tell me the price for anything and explained the no price policy is because prices FLUCTUATE! Now to the overpriced food...the French fries were good, that's it! My grandsons enjoyed the games but thought in game value and prizes were all overpriced. South 40 has much better food and game play value AND there are QUIET spaces for adults to sit and relax and not be made nauseous by D&B DEAFENING SOUND levels. read more

My husband and I went to check it out. Where we are from we had a Dave and Busters and have also visited the one in Boise. So we were excited to see one was out in here in Reno. I can't speak on the food because we did not eat there. The space was clean and pretty busy. The game area was very small, they put a large mirror on the back wall to make it appear larger. We bought a card for $45 and ran out of games to play. Most of the arcades at the casinos are bigger. Probably wouldn't go back, but wouldn't tell people not to go. read more

Hostess greeted us right away and sat us. It was the end on Monday Night Football, so the crown had disappeared. It took a while for the server to come and get our drink order. I truly thought she forgot about us on getting us our drinks - water and soda. She took our order and the food runner brought it out. Our server came back as we were done with our meal to ask how it was and left. We never got a drink refil nor were we asked if we wanted one. She came back a while later and asked about dessert. We declined and she gave us our check on her electronic pad. She then stood over me as I paid and stated I had to pick a predetermined amount for her tip. First time in I can't remember that I did not leave a tip. She should not be a server. If it was a busy night, I could understand her lack of service - it was not busy! Had sorta mixed feelings about my expectations and my experience if I'm being completely honest. I brought my girlfriend for a date night and I think we had a great time. The games were pretty cool and I personally enjoyed the retro games and the claw machines. The beer was awesome the whole atmosphere was pretty awesome and we got there before the big rush. But the food was subpar unfortunately, don't get me wrong the chicken wings were in fact cooked nothing was raw but spending 150$ and then leaving hungry is a hard sell for me. Haven't eaten here yet, but the arcade is super fun! It feels fresh and clean, has high quality games, boasts a great prize store, and doesn't feel too big to be overwhelming for a parent of younger children. There's really something for everyone here - the adults tend to hand around the coin pushers and the kids are more in the arcade style video games areas. It's just fun for everyone and even the prizes are more geared towards the older audiences. You can even exchange tickets for food or rental space, which is very cool! We grabbed the seasonal pass since we love nearby and it's a pretty epic deal. All you can play, any day of the week, 12 weeks, for about $150. We will be in once a week with this fun little pass.
