The location and games are very fun and they have beer and some wine. And a bunch of hangover makers in the menu. The management staff is VERY helpful and friendly, but the waitstaff has repeatedly seemed put out by doing their job even when not busy which can be frustrating but I get it, it's chaotic in there sometimes. However, the food unfortunately is hardly even decent. Menu looks great but food tastes like it's old and gives everyone a sour stomach. Eaten there four times since opening trying to find something that's better than gas station warmups but have to give up on it. Any bar has far superior and usually cheaper food. I went on opening night on a Monday and ended up coming back again the same weekend. The energy was nonstop, the staff was dancing, the DJ kept the party going, and the crowd was loving it. I ordered the Bacon Smash Burger, and it was loaded. The burger was juicy with crispy edges and stacked with thick-cut bacon. Every bite hit. The Funnel Cake Fries were golden, crispy, and covered in powdered sugar. Sweet, light, and exactly what I didn't know I needed. Easily a favorite. Drinks were on point. I had the pink Patron and a few jello shots. They were strong, fun, and served fast even with a packed house. The wait was around 45 minutes on the weekend, which is pretty normal for a grand opening weekend. That's the only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five. The food, vibe, and service were worth it, but I'd recommend coming during the week if you want the full experience without the long wait. Happy hour during the week and half off games on Wednesdays is where it's at. No line, same vibe, and all the flavor. read more

People definitely don't come here for the food. My daughter got the creamy chicken pasta (aka Alfredo) tasted like the Alfredo was straight out of a jar. The garlic toast was literally probably Texas Toast from the freezer, the ranch is bottled ranch . The only decent thing was the fried cheese stack my son got. I ordered the cantina nachos for my entree and when they came it had steak on it? Said it just came with chicken. So when the bill came I made sure to check they didn't charge me extra because they don't give you a printed receipt so you can check things over! It's just a glorified "adult" chuckee cheese. We should have known, but here's your warning, don't come, it cost a fortune. After dinner we went to the arcade. While playing a game the guy next to us was playing some game where you throw a ball. Well he threw the ball pretty hard, which was totally fine but it popped back out, hit an alcohol glass that was left on a table between the two games we were playing. The glass shattered and the glass got all over my arm, cut my arm, shards of glass in my dress, alcohol all over me in my shoes etc. The guy was super apologetic and made sure I was ok. The staff however handled the situation so poorly I was shocked. Not one of them offered me any help in cleaning myself up. No rag, no towel, no asking what they could do. I had to hobble to the bathroom because it felt like glass was in my sandal. Came back out and asked for a rag to clean up my dress. The staff was more concerned about finding the guy to kick him out even though he didn't do anything wrong, he didn't do anything intentional. We tried to tell them but apparently they didn't care because as we were leaving we saw them kicking the guy out, making a total scene and just being really ridiculous about the whole thing. They could have comped us something, apologized, but they decided to make a scene which scared my daughter because she thought the guy who did it was going to be mean to us thinking we asked staff to kick him out. The best part about the whole situation was when I just called to complain about how the staff handled the situation I was routed to f*cking INDIA!!!!!!!! You can't even call the business direct!! That is INSANE!!!!! They outsource their direct line to INDIA! So if you have an issue don't plan to get it resolved. The guy from India told me to go back to the restaurant which we were already on our way home because my daughter was all nervous nelly so we left. We don't even live in reno! I frequent Dave and Busters a lot in CA. I would say I've been to 7 of them in the last year or 2. This location in Reno would be the 8th location I've tried. So Dave and Busters isn't new. They have a lot of locations in the nation. I didn't try the food at this location in Reno because I'm tired of Dave and Buster's food. This is a chain/franchise so the food has been all the same. So I'm willing to bet there is no difference here. All I can say is skip the fish and chips--the choice of fish they use is meh leaving an aftertaste that is not desirable. Their burgers and the barbacoa quesadilla are good safe bets. The rest is typical bar type food. With that said we go here mainly for the entertainment. THIS location in Reno I was very impressed with when it comes to their games. I would say it is up there with the most games I've seen at the locations I've been to. That is because the space they have here is pretty big. And of course being that this is a brand new location, the games are new, clean, and the rest of the place is as well. So there is really little reason this location wouldn't be one of the best ones yet. If I had to criticize it, the ticket redemption for prizes seems small given the size of the games area and selection. But in summary, when it comes to comparing THIS Dave and Busters with OTHER Dave and Busters, this is one of the better ones when it comes to games and entertainment--because IMO that is the most important aspect when it comes to even coming here. Food opinions, its all the same, so you either like what the COMPANY offers or you don't. The food is ok to good IMO. OH, this is a great place to have drinks though, especially during their happy hours. I'm old and remember when D&B had 50% off all drinks during happy hour but those days are gone. I was so excited we were finally getting a Dave and Busters in Reno. There has been so many times they would say we were getting one... but never saw anything come of it. Finally...this is the moment. It was smaller than I thought it would be...but there are enough games to stay entertained especially in a smaller space. Food/ drink service always seems slow here... been here numerous times... and although its never busy... food/ drink service is always slow. It took my friend the other night like 15 minutes to get a soda and a water. Of course... half price Wednesday is always exciting... if you're a night owl and stay past midnight here though... you'll get charged full price price from midnight to 1am. Idk why bc this never happens at other locations. Right now through the end of the month half price games Sunday through Thursday but remember to check the game price after midnight. Also Dave and Busters has been changing a lot of rules like how many tickets you can earn in a day... so we'll see if anything else changes. I rate it a 3 bc I'm excited we have one now... but slow service... the size of this location...game area being on the smaller side....bar area just ok... if you're on one side and the bartender is on another they cant see you... probably a bad design... but also probably why it takes so long to get service. First couple of times a lot of employees talking to each other and on their phones. Eating area smaller. (All "smaller" comments are compared to other Dave and Busters I've been to. And definitely a lower rating for being regular prices after midnight. read more

2/1/25 3:00 pmish What a complete disaster can in to eat at the Dave in busters restaurant did not intend to play just eat and show my 18 month old all the lights of games after we eat. All the problems started with our waiter "Emily " she was kinda rude at first and then turned to total disrespect, first I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and my wife ordered a regular chicken sandwich. My meal came out about 10 minutes earlier than my wife's and I turned around and started looking for my waiter when what turns out to be the manager noticed that I was looking for something and asked me can I help you with anything and I said yes I'm looking for my wife's food he seen that I was about halfway done eating my meal and went and got my waitress to deliver my wife's food when it got to the table we noticed that they delivered the wrong item so we mentioned it to the waitress we said oh that's the wrong item. We ordered it original chicken sandwich. Her reply was no you didn't you ordered chicken tenders my wife then said excuse me I know I ordered it a chicken sandwich. She then said I know exactly what you ordered and you ordered chicken tenders. We thought that was the end of it so my wife said no worries just take that off of my bill and we will pay and get out of here. She said OK and then went took two other tables orders and started cleaning tables, my wife walked outside to put the baby bag back into the car while I sat there for approximately 20 minutes waiting for a check after about 20 minutes. I walked up and asked the hostess if I could speak with a manager, the manager came over and was super nice respectful and took care of the entire meal. I didn't get the manager's name, but he was really nice. Do feel like I should have paid for my chicken sandwich and my appetizer, but he was super embarrassed for the company and ended up just covering the entire meal. i'm glad that he took care of me but as a business owner, it would be a really cool environment to throw a work party and have work meetings there as the restaurant is not that loud I would recommend anybody that got Emily to request a new waiter. Manager was a super nice guy and I don't think that the waitress shows a complete representation of Dave & Buster's as I have been going there since I was a kid, and I know that usually waitresses are nice to their customers. I truly hope that they took my meal out of her tips. I wish I knew this was a place where I could host work parties but honestly, we have had better service at a different place called South 40 in Reno hopefully we have a better experience in the future here we will most likely try it after a couple of years read more

The server was kneeling with the table next to us, going over he bill, and so the 2 arriving couldn't sit until she moved. It literally took her 5 min to move out of the way. It was odd that she couldn't move so our party could sit. Anyway, food was ok. I got the chicken parm. It was obviously cooked frozen as it tasted like freezer burn. The pasta had been microwaved and came in a bowl shape under the flat freezer burn chicken. The steak my husband ordered was thin and fatty. Not much flavor. The other 3 ordered flat bread pizza. They were ok....not a meal that anyone would seek out. Beverages had no prices on the menu, which was odd. They seated us at a 4 top with an extra chair they had to go find. So we were cramped, it was ok. Not great. The arcade did not have the human claw machine that was advertised. The game selection was ok, machines were all New and working. It was convenient using my phone to store my credits. But it didn't update the entire evening with my totals including my tickets. So I had to keep going to the scanner at the shop to check my balances. It was a bit too hot for my liking in the arcade. Overall, the whole night was meh. The card scanners on the devices all worked pretty well. We were half way through our "chips" before finding out the "blue" ones don't give you tickets. I felt like the server was more interested in selling packages than clearing our plates. The total came and we had purchased a play and dine deal. You could not see what was food and what was the "chips" purchase to tip appropriately. Coconut Bowl and GSR are better. We probably won't go back for a meh experience. read more

Be careful when the server brings a tablet to collect your payment. No paper itemized bill to look at and the suggested tip is based on the total amount of the bill, including the cost of the game cards, not just the food and drink. They got about $10 extra by including the game card total in the suggested amount. We also thought the food was awful. The fish and chips was greasy, strong fishy taste and overdone and greasy fries. First timer at D&B's at the Summit, South Reno. My husband and I went there for dinner and sat at the bar. The bartender was our waiter and he was pleasant, although rather distracted even though there were maybe 3 other couples at the bar. I ordered the Apple & Pecan Salad with grilled chicken. It looked nothing like the picture in the menu. Instead of bright green crisp romaine, it was very pale and the ribs were starting to turn brown. The size was more like a half a salad - like they had run out of lettuce and what I got was leftovers. There was no apple in the salad, and the pecans were chopped so fine they were insignificant. The chicken itself was good - not overcooked or dry. When the waiter asked how everything was, I shrugged my shoulders. He asked what was wrong, and I only mentioned that there wasn't any apple. He came back with 5 paper thin slices of apple on a plate! That's what they would have put in it instead of a whole chopped apple?! I didn't even comment on that. We usually take pictures of really good looking food at restaurants. I'm wishing we had taken a picture of what I was served. I felt sorry for the waiter who was just doing what he was told - he didn't make the salad. Regardless, he stopped by and told us my salad was being "comped" rather than saying they were taking it off the bill. Same result I guess. Anyway, a very disappointing experience to say the least.
