My car was repaired at Dave Sinclair Ford Collision after an accident. Upon completion I was told my car needed another several thousand dollars of work. I found this to be suspicious so I got a second opinion from a trusted friend who is an auto mechanic. He said this work was unnecessary and told me not to replace the part. He also pointed out that the dealership put used parts in my car for repair. Also, the dealership did not repair two of my sensors that were damaged in the accident even though i pointed out the error message of the sensors to them when i dropped the vehicle off. My glove compartment fell out completely once I got my car back home. This was working fine when I dropped the car off. The experience with this dealership was frustrating and disappointing. I have little faith in their abilities or integrity. read more

Rotten customer service, I have never been lied to by so many . Took a new truck back for hail repair was told it would take a day . 2 week later I called to se the status of repair , OH its done when I arrived there was a dent with missing paint eye level on drivers door . With some anxiety I agreed to leave with the loaner truck and upon repair the salesperson said hed deliver my truck to me and fill the tank with fuel for the misunderstanding. His communication was dismal at best I had to reach out to find out the eta of my repair , a 1 day repair that took 3 weeks . He had 1 shop guy delivery the vehicle to me at Dave Sinclair StPeter's. Now that I have my truck back there is an unidentified iPhone 9 connected to my truck that cannot be unhooked from the truck without being in possession. On top of that the rear windows no longer function . Now they want me to bring it back again 48 miles 1 way and leave it for them to take a look at . He was prompt with my questions and very good to work with, very knowledgeable of the product, and had my truck fully prepared upon pickup . There was no high pressure sales tactics, the transaction also went smoothly through finance and paperwork effort. I am very picky person when it comes to vehicles and the transaction, they where very thorough and courteous throughout the experience. They gave me a very fair deal on my trade as well as the purchase. If you want a best in class truck, that's Ford bar none, this vehicle is amazing. I recently called Dave Sinclair on a Monday morning. Hey, I've got some issues with my window. It is stuck open. I've also got my spare on. When do you have some time to look at it? I was told to bring it in. The shop was slow. I called Monday afternoon. Nope. We haven't had a chance to look at it. Tuesday afternoon. Same thing. By Wednesday afternoon I was hot. Three wasted days of rental car charges. My issue, yes. I needed transportation. But three days of nothing, to then be told that i could leave my paperwork in the queue and they would take it when they had time. Funny, I had been in the queue for three days and NOTHING but run around. I ended up making an appointment at another Ford dealership. Within one day, my window was fixed. Just a fuse. My tire was fixed and changed. My recall part, that Dave Sinclair told me would be at least September, has been taken care of. I also had my oil changed. Something I do religiously. Pretty Tricky! Basically everything you fear when taking your car to a mechanic. Took my vehicle in for a recall repair. 10 minutes after leaving the service department my engine light came on (has never done so before). Returned & explained the odd "coincidence". They insisted it was unrelated to the work they had done an hour before. Tried to charge me almost $600. After an unpleasant conversation with the service manager, they told me I was "welcome" twice as they would comp the "repair". The 20 minute labor charge was $399, so basically their labor is $1200 per hour according to their "gift" receipt. read more

They completely took advantage of me & screwed me out of hundreds of dollars. They lost a customer and will NEVER have my business again. Do NOT waste your money here!!! They are the WORST!!! I had a scheduled appointment to have a diagnostics ran on my vehicle on 11/11/2021. When I scheduled the appointment two weeks earlier I asked how much it was going to cost for just a diagnostic report. The lady on the phone told me it would be $162.50. When I went in this morning to my scheduled appointment I was helped by Kelly & for verification I asked her how much the diagnostic would cost. Kelly confirmed that it would be $162.50. I was content with that amount. She asked me what was wrong with my vehicle and why I was there today and needing a diagnostic report and I explained to her the issues I was having with my vehicle. As I am listing the things wrong with my vehicle I mentioned that my brakes needed to be replaced and she asked me if they needed to check those as well. I told her NO because I already knew that they needed replaced, but I was going to get that taken care of later. I only mentioned this because I assumed in doing a full diagnostic that this would show up on the report and I just wanted them to know that I was already aware of it so they could skip it. That was it. Then she tells me they are going to need to have me leave my car there for the entire day or maybe two days because they were so backed up in the service department. I was under the impression prior to this that this would be an in and out service that should only take a maximum of two hours. I had a full day of work still ahead of me and now I'm finding out that I will not have my vehicle to get to work. This instantly frustrated me that I was not made aware of this in advance. I had no time to make arrangements for a ride or a rental car. Thankfully they did shuttle me to my work, then I got a phone call while at work from Kelly saying that my car was almost ready for pick up by the end of that same day. I thought things were starting to look up until Kelly started reading to me the diagnostic report over the phone and mentioned that they were charging me $162.50 per diagnostic report that they had to do .... I was under the impression I was ONLY paying $162.50 in total!! I have NEVER heard of anyone charging separate diagnostic fees for each individual thing that they are checking such as a check engine light, a back tire with a slow leak, and a trunk door. $162.50 each!!! $487.50 total just to LOOK at those individual things!! How absolutely ridiculous!!!! And to add to that Kelly mentioned that they were almost done putting the brakes on my car. I NEVER asked them to put the brakes on my car!!! I was infuriated and I told Kelly to stop them because I did not want the brakes. She tried to call the Technician to stop them but it was too late and the brakes were already on the vehicle.... they charged me $537 additional for the brakes. By this point I am so mad and upset that I am in tears. I went in to have a simple diagnostic ran that I was told was going to be $162.50 and now these people are saying that I owe them $1,024.50 & I can't pick up my car until it's paid. I went off!!!! Kelly finally went & talked to her manager Adam who agreed to "waive" the diagnostic fees & since I had no other option I was forced to pay $540 for the brakes that I did NOT ask for. As I'm paying I notice that there is no diagnostic report attached to my paperwork (apparently there should've been 3). Come to find out they did not "waive" the fees. They threw away my reports!! Thank god I took notes when Kelly was reading the diagnostic reports to me over the phone earlier, because the Service Manager Adam blatantly lied to my face & said the Technician never completed the reports. If that were true then why on earth were they trying to charge me for reports that weren't even completed?? LIARS!!! Do not get scammed by this dealership!!! If I could leave 0 stars I would! Bought our SUV in April. Maybe 3 months later I need a new battery(not knowing that a battery was covered under warranty ) After spending about 25K on purchasing the vehicle. Then a month later, the fuel injectors go out and same for the spark plugs. There's another 2K into it. After contacting Ford with knowing we have an extended MECHANICAL warranty they basically told us nothing they could do AND it's on us. They took their time getting back to us with information about our warranty, they were rude and simply just didn't care. I have brought my car in Three times now for the same thing and today being my bird time bringing it cause of something they did not fix the first time I now am out a car for yet another day. On top of that I made an appointment for 8am and called to check on the status today at 3:15pm and they were just now pulling it in and said they would not have answers for me until tomorrow morning. I came here to test drive a vehicle and wow was it disappointing. I arrive and ask for the rep who I was told would be working with and big surprise hes now "not available" and I get stuck with someone else. While I'm sitting at this new reps desk as they get me into the system, I realize the rep I was assigned to (which turned out to be the sales lead) was just sitting there with two other workers making crude jokes. The sales person I was put with was absolutely horrendous, when I asked about the features of the car I was told "uh it has a lot" and I had to clarify everything I was looking for, and they were totally unprofessional and uninterested. In addition, even with St. Louis experiencing a massive surge of covid, not a single person in this dealership seemed to care. Not a mask in sight, no social distancing, and an empty bottle of hand sanitizer on the desk. This sales person even told me 4+ times that I could take mine off even after I explained that I live with immunocompromised individuals and am fine with the mask. Now they continue to harass me with test messages, emails, and physical mail to my address, even when asked to stop. Overall I'd give them a negative score if possible and I will never be back. My car purchase process was fine, but service department has been "busy" and understaffed for the last 3 years I have been returning for my warranty service. They have never washed my car with service, not a deal breaker but would be nice to include. Service staff was condescending. Had my transmission lines break while I was driving. And I was close to Dave Sinclair Ford. I pulled in, I left my vehicle. Picked it up a few days later. they were very nice and gave me a ride home. Brought it home and park in the driveway . Then backing out I noticed oil on my driveway. They did not clean the oil off my truck so it just continue to drip........ You pay for premium price you expect premium service. Next I noticed my RITC 30 ounce mug was missing. Along with a dark pair of fishing glasses with readers on them. Usually I go to the Lincoln store because there's a conflict with the Ford store. We entered on a nice Saturday afternoon. They were swamped. It was understandable. I wanted to test drive one of the 2013 Focuses. We waited around for about 20 mins (even had receptionist overhead page for an available salesman.) Then we decided to leave and go to the Hyundai dealership down the way. Afterward, we came back and the receptionist got a salesman for us. The guy was older, but I had a guy to help me, so I was cool with whoever. I told him exactly what I wanted to test drive because I'd done my homework and I had been obsessing over the Focus for a week. We walked back to the cars, found one and he had to move two cars out of the way. Afterward, my husband got on the back (behind the driver) and I got in the passenger seat - because the salesmen have to bring it out of the 'back lot' Fine - no problem. Before he gets in though - he starts to explain - point by point - every freaking feature: Antilock brakes, power locks, etc. I interrupt him and tell him I understand all that, I just want to drive it and see if I like it (and if my husband likes it - he drives my car sometimes.) No problem - he drives us to the front where he needs my drivers license and insurance card. I hand them to him. As he gets out, my husband - who wants to move up to the passenger seat - is locked in (child safe locks.) He tells the guy he's locked in and needs out. As the guy is explaining how power mirrors work (before going and making a copy of my stuff,) my husband interrupts this time and informs him that we know how to work a freaking power mirror (I'm paraphrasing.) Then, my husband informs me that he is *not* test driving with this guy. So he goes and explains that and gets another salesman. This guy is better, but not much, and he had food in his teeth. We wanted to feel how 'zippy' the car was, but that wasn't gonna happen - the guy was like 6'5" and not thin. No - we certainly weren't going to see how quick the car was, not after that. After we came back, we dropped the car back (which I drove all the way to the back and parked it where we got it - go figure), we went to the bathroom and quickly moved for the door. On the way out, I saw a younger salesman with a couple and he was using his iPad to show them options and features. I was pissed. Worst service ever, and we went to 5 dealers that day. Well I was waiting to write this in hopes that someone from this place would actually give me an answer or return a call, but weeks have gone by and...nothing! Long story short is I went in for a brake light issue on my 2014 Ford Escape. It ended up being some electrical module that was making the light go 'in and out'. This was covered by warranty and is completely fixed, no big deal there. My issue is I bought the car with an after market remote start. This remote start worked perfectly. When they did the work on the electrical they never reconnected the remote start. I brought the car back in, they looked at it and said their 'after market guy' doesn't know how to reconnect it and that I should take it to an aftermarket retailer to get it reconnected. So here are my issues 1. I brought something in, THEY broke it and now THEY want me to go hunt down another retailer who will inevitably charge me to 'reconnect' it. They didn't even warn me of the potential issue when I brought the car in. Just gave it back to me with a non-working remote start. 2. I left a voicemail with Matt in service 2 weeks ago...no response. I talked to a service manager (I cant remember his name) a week ago who said he would look into it and call me back. Here we are a week later and no call back. This has been going on since October. I am sick of constantly calling only to have someone tell me 'ill call you back'. 3. They claim they aren't 'responsible' for after market parts even though they broke the thing. So if you have anything after market on your car...don't take it here. I'm talking wheels, stereo, any kind of part because they might break it or damage it and tell you to go buy a new one. 4. What happened to 'if its not right we will make it right'. Everything was right until your incompetent employees touched my car. In my opinion they should put a new remote start in if they don't have anyone capable of fixing it. So here we are, I have a two year old son middle of December, remote start that doesn't work so car is freezing anytime we get in it. Guess my next steps are reporting to the Better Business Bureau and further possible action to get this rectified. Sucks because my wife bought her Chevy Equinox at Dave Sinclair GMC and the salesman was fantastic and their repair shop was wonderful when she got rear-ended. I feel like I should review from when I was here last November (2015) I wasn't dressed my best (basketball shorts and a t shirt, not bad I thought) and was 21 at the time and went in with my fiancee. So we obviously look young and I guess they assumed broke because I felt as if we were in the way, unimportant even. Eventually after a little waiting an older gentleman came to help us. He was quite blunt and walked quickly with no small talk. We knew what car we wanted to see and followed him to the back, but it was just odd, the guy at the time didn't seem like he even wanted to be with us. It also was wierd that he rode in the car with us all the other dealerships, aside from Jim Butler (go read my review there 'o') let us ride alone. I had bought the full service plan and the plan I bought included a free rental car . I was able to get all my errands done on my days off. I can not say enough good things about Dave Sinclair. We purchased a used truck from here. Our trade in had some body damage, so naturally we understood the trade in value would be lower. We agreed on a price, but our new truck was a fresh trade in and still needed to go through the shop.. so we couldn't take it home. They gave us a piece of junk loaner (that had sweat stains on the seats) off their used lot to drive while we waited for our new truck to be serviced. My husband gets a phone call from the salesman the next business day wanting our claim # or check we received from our insurance so they can use it for repairs on our old truck. This was never discussed or put in writing and the salesman got angry with my husband and kept saying that money belongs to the insurance company, when he refused to give him the information. In fact, we told the salesman we had received a payout from our insurance, and we used that money as a down payment on the new truck. Our old truck had an expensive 5th wheel hitch in the bed that we had asked to have back repeatedly. We never got it back. This dealership is shady and runs on deceptive practices. read more

My son had an appointment for 2 p.m. on Monday. We dropped it off Monday morning and they said we will let you know. It was still under warrant. They didn't look at until Thursday! People need their car. Then it wasn't ready until the following Monday. We dropped our car off when we picked his up on Monday. They said they would look at it Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning. It is now Friday and they have not looked at it yet. "Maybe Monday"!!!! What is going on and why is it taking so long. We have been down to 2 cars for 2 weeks. It's hard to manage this. Dropped vehicle off at scheduled time Monday morning at 9am to determine cause for an error message on my dash. It is now Wednesday at 4:30 pm and have not received a single call with status. Said they only do drop off appointments as they have no idea when they will actually look at vehicle. Meantime I am without vehicle for at least 4 days for a simple error message. This dealership is full of liars, I thought it was just one slimy used car salesman but deception seems to be the standard for how they do business. In helping a friend buy a car I wanted to work with one specific lender, my credit union. I have excellent credit and plenty of income, have been approved by them previously and I let Mike Havicon know that. Mike ASSURED ME REPEATEDLY that he was only asking for my SSN and other data to match it to the credit union's system to pull my loan application from them. Lo and behold, a hard inquiry from their dealership appears on my credit report. I tried to get my friend to leave this scummy dealership then since they proved themselves to be liars from the start but he'd fallen in love with a car on the lot. Fine, but I talk to J. R. Willett to 1) let him know that I did not consent to that credit pull and 2) explicitly state that I wasn't consenting to any more. He gave me permission to record him confirming that I was not authorizing any additional credit pulls and that my information would not be submitted to any additional lenders... lo and behold it's barely been 12 hours and I'm getting calls from lenders all around the country about a car loan I already finalized with the credit union I came to Dave Sinclair with. Avoid this place if you expect a shred of integrity, truth or decency when buying a car. read more

As I'm writing this review, my truck is sitting on their lot for the last 12 days. I have been given four different completion dates. The first excuse was that the service adviser forgot that my technician was off on vacation. The next excuse...sorry but your truck is in line waiting for the transmission mechanics to work on. As each deadline approached, the only way I would find out if my truck was ready was for me to call. Never once have I been notified of the progress, or in my case, the lack thereof. Two of the items to be repaired this time, are both items that were not fixed the first time. There was no problems buying the $65,000 truck. Service after the sale is proving to be exhausting!! I'm of the opinion that Dr. Sinclair puts all warranty work behind any pay repairs. Very dissatisfied. UPDATE.........Day 14 now. The adviser was going to call me at noon to give me an update (on their lack of progress I'm sure). Of course, no call. At 1:40pm, I called to find out they were just begining to take the transmission out. Almost embarrassing to tell people who ask where truck is...oh, it's been sitting at Dave Sinclair for the last two weeks. Go to Bo is sounding better and better as the days go by!! Not once did I state I didn't appreciate the gestures...upgrade the rent-a-car (truth be told, you didn't upgrade the rental, that's all they had available at the time). Paid the tab on the rental? That was going to happen either way. Nice that we didn't have to go down that road. Fill the tank- (very nice). Clean the truck- (very considerate) even though it was very clean when I dropped it off. One of the issues to be taken care of while it was there for the ridiculous amount of time, was the cooling seats did not work. The back of the seats did not blow cool air....STILL NOT FIXED. I'm hesitant to bring it back down. I would hate to have to deal with anymore drama. Mike Baugh was great. Ordering, and purchasing the truck went very smooth. Your sub-par service dept is unfortunate. I gave a very fair review on the whole ordeal. Your Service Manager did his job well. He gets paid to help put out fires, and he once it escalated to him (by me) things got back on track----Tom Bedberry maybe? The reveiw is about the services you provide. My review was about the service you provided to me. Gratuities aside, I would have rather filled my own tank, and cleaned the truck myself, if it meant I would have had it back within a reasonable time frame. Do I want to change my review---- No. Forgot one thing; You mentioned free oil change? As part of my warranty package, I don't pay for oil change, tire rotation and whatever else it comes with it anyway. Just wanted to clarify that read more

These people took advantage of my grandpa. They locked him into a $700 a month lease(which is what I pay in LA for rent) for a Lincoln. He ended up falling ill and never driving it. Do your self a favor and pass on this place. read more

Awesome place for service. Unlike the other ford dealership I've had service at these folks did the service washed my truck and gave excellent customer service. The dealership is farther from me than another but I'll go here for here on if they give this level of service regularly. Sunset ford didn't even wash my car, these guys cleaned it all up real nice when they were done with the oil change and tire rotation. Great dealership and if this is the norm I'll buy my next truck from them, they deserve my business with this service level. Thank you Dave Sinclair ford. I was almost don't with ford trucks because of the bad service I got at another ford dealership but you've won me back over. Great service department, and great auto body shop as I had to have repairs after a deer strike. Thanks Dave Sinclair you know how to do business and I appreciate it!
