A former customer recommended me to take my car here when there was something wrong with my car's exhaust and muffler. They also forewarn that this shop is usually busy; however, would be worth the wait due to quality services and affordable pricing. After reading the reviews, I've decided this is the place to bring my car for the repair. I'm not sure when is the best time to call since they are usually busy. Fortunately, I was able to secure a spot on a short notice. Two days later, I dropped off the car right before the shop opened and got it back within two hours. I went here to get my exhaust system fixed three guys sitting down on their phones. They were very rude and indirect and acted like they didn't need my business.They seemed racist they told me it would be 600$ for exhaust and 450$ for Cadillac converter.I didnt pay because they we acting like i didnt have that much money I found another place that only charged me 450$ i would never go here again lost a good customer. read more

Dave's is the best place to go if you need your exhaust repaired. You simply can't get a better deal on a custom exhaust! Dave will completely build your exhaust for you, and that makes it a much better deal that if you buy the one that is pre-fit for your car. My favorite part is watching them create the exhaust. It's quite amazing! They have a machine that bends, expands, and cinches the metal. (Those are probably not the correct terms, but you get the idea!) Therefore, they can get the parts to fit together, and under your car, perfectly. Dave has also replaced mufflers for me, and does a great job at that, too! Dave will customize what you are looking for. If you need it to look absolutely perfect, he can do that. They make wonderful, beautiful, custom exhausts. But if you just need an old car to be functional, he can help you out with that too. I would never go anywhere else for exhaust work! read more

I was super happy to find an exhaust shop that was able to be able to help me replace my flexpipe on short notice. This summer was hard on my car, and I was able to get an appointment in to take care of it for me, as my regular mechanic I go to had to have surgery. I got the flexpipe replaced for a pretty good deal, but wasn't aware at first that the shop is cash only, so be sure to get an estimate first. The only drawback is the neighborhood isn't the greatest and there isn't a waiting area. Be sure to have someone lined up to give you a ride and these guys will take good care of your car! read more

Went to Dave's today thinking I needed muffler repair. Had a 9AM appointment which I called in just the week before and was able to get scheduled within a few days. When I arrived I was greeted promptly by Dave himself. I felt welcomed right away! Dave brought my car in within minutes, got it up on the lift, he and his mechanic checked it over. They took there time checking things out thoroughly. Found out my muffler was just fine and I needed no repairs. They went over a few other things and advised me on what going on with my vehicle and what should of be addressed and corrected. Dave is exclusive to muffler repair or I would have had the needed repairs done there. Dave gave me much insight as to the repairs needed and took the time to explain things in much detail which was something he did not need to do. The courtesy I was given was over and above any place I've ever had when getting vehicle repairs. I was not charged for the his time or the vehicle inspection. I left Dave's feeling very respected with much insight on needed repairs. I WOULD RECOMMEND DAVE'S TO ANYONE NEEDING MUFFLER REPAIRS OR REPLACEMENT!!! Naturally it was my turn and some assheap cut out my catylic converter. Other shops quoted $1200 yet Dave did the job for $220 and straightened out my exhaust pipe. I had an estimate from Lancer in St Paul for 400 to replace everything, they said it was rusted through and through. I brought my 2000 VW to Dave's for dual flexpipe replacement after my general mechanic quoted first $2100 and then $1200 for the job (including extensive part replacement) because they didn't feel there was enough good pipe to adequately weld the new parts into. Made my appointment about a week out and dropped off the car, walked down the street for coffee, and he was done in about an hour. All this at a charge that was a fraction of my mechanic's quote. AND he guarantees his work. This was such a painless process that I can't recommend him enough. Note: bring cash or checks--he doesn't take cards. My mechanic (Wilbur's Auto) recommended these guys years ago and I have gone ever since with several different cars and they have repaired every issue! They also can custom make pipes which will save you a bunch with hard to get parts. They are often very busy but if you can get in, you will be happy with their work and price! read more

Going here restores my hope in people, as Dave could be making a lot more money and charging more, but he keeps his help very accessible for low-income folks like me. I have always went to Dave's for muffler repairs. Their prices were fair and they can fix it pretty quick. 2 years ago I went in to get my muffler pipes replaced. They told me that my mufflers needed to be replace too because there were holes in them. So I decided to go ahead with it. They installed their custom mufflers to my 98 accord including their chromed SS tips. It cost me $130 for the pairs which was pretty good. 2 years later, I needed to replace them again because my car was getting loud. I took it in for them to look at. They told me that whoever installed those mufflers didn't even install the correct ones. He told me that those mufflers aren't made for my car. I was like what? I told him that they were the ones who installed them on my car. He said no they didn't and that it wasn't their mufflers. I stopped him again and told him that their shop is the only one I go to and that they were the ones who put them on. He still denied it and asked me for proof of receipt. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Besides, I didn't have the receipt because I didn't know where it was. It's been 2 years. Disappointed, I left shaking my head. They lost a loyal customer. I will never go back to that shop again. read more
