The kids invited us out for dinner so we obliged and had a great time! Had the fish and chips. Not fresh but they were pretty good. Not great but good. The burgers are where this place shines! And the fries!! Damn those fries are good!!! Had an old fashioned and they make them per good here! Staff is pretty good, a bit slow where it's not a busy night but not to the point of really questioning your decision making skills. The place is clean and all staff members are friendly.

Stopped in here after seeing a special and thought we'd check it out. We were pleasantly surprised with this little gem and found that the place was really busy on a weekday at lunch which seems to be more and more rare these days. The prices seemed reasonable and on par with other places, if not a bit less and the selection was pretty impressive- it was hard to decide what to order! The interior decor is also really nice with the High Desert vibes you would expect from the name. We each had one of the specialty burgers (Valley burger and I forget the name of the other one). They were both very tasty and the portions were generous. They have amazing fries- both the regular and sweet potato. Service was great (it was so busy we had to sit at the bar since we were in a little bit of a hurry). We plan to add this place to our rotation as there is a ton of selection that looks amazing and they have a pretty decent looking happy hour food & drink specials too. I couldn't get a good look at all the taps but that selection also seemed to be pretty impressive compared to what you see elsewhere. A good first impression and am looking forward to checking out more of the menu!

Their chicken nachos are incredible. Salsa is authentic homemade New Mexican salsa! So filling and satisfying. Great service and friendly owner

Yum yum yum!! I have been to the daves valley grill location and I have to say I enjoyed this experience better! The ambiance of this restaurant is great- low key, large and quite beautiful inside. Service was great, we were seated quickly and the food came out super fast and super fresh. I got the eggs benedict with carnitas, it came on green chile biscuits and the hollandaise sauce was out of this world. So lemony- maybe my new favorite in the city! I will def be back!

This #albuquerque restaurant review was stuck in drafts for a minute, but Shawn (spellcheck) from @daveshighdesertgrillabq snuffed me out, as these things happen, especially given that we've been to so many restaurants ! (He was a great sport and we had lovely service). The bar was popping and it was a warm day so hubby and I decided to dine Al fresco. I got the bourbon BBQ bacon burger because it came with an onion ring and it was so delicious! 5/5 will return!

Okay another great local spot! Came here to try something new and glad we did. The service was great, everyone was friendly and the food and drinks were all prepared well. I had the Cajun Andouille Burger, the candied jalapeños and sausage was great. My guest had the Meatloaf and he said it was wonderful. For dessert I had a White Russian coffee cocktail and shared the biscochito peach cobbler, dude this thing rocks and stole the whole show. I would come here just to order that again. Seriously perfect for fall or winter. Give this place a try support local businesses.

Dave's High Desert Grill is a great low-key spot for breakfast or brunch. Our waitress, Sarah, was very friendly and personable, which made the experience even better. The food prices are reasonable, and the portions--especially the desserts--are huge. My favorites are the Lobster Benedict and the salmon dinner. If you're looking for a quiet, chill restaurant, Dave's is a solid choice. One note: the menu lists a half rack of ribs, but it comes with only four pieces.

We are always searching for breakfast and brunch spots on our vacation and this place was AWESOME when we visited Albuquerque. We had a Sunday Funday brunch here, the mimosas were very refreshing and the food was very filling! We sat outside and the staff was great about opening the umbrellas to shield us from the sun - the inside of the restaurant had beautiful floor to ceiling windows. Our server was really nice, he had a lot of great suggestions and steered us in the right direction. I had the avocado toast - delicious fluffy scrambled eggs on a buttery and crispy slice of toast. My boyfriend and I shared the Whiskey Banana Walnut Pancakes and holy smokes were they delicious. If you like sweet treats I would definitely suggest this - but it was very very filling so be prepared!

I kind of didn't believe it because it's an Italian restaurant, but the baked goods are phenomenal. I got a dozen donuts, some croissants, pastries, and a whole loaf of bread for an amazing price!! Local walking in order tables and chairs comfortable absolutely fine for what it is. Food... I had their special bratwurst hoagie... Small sausage big roll light on the peppers and onions. Not bad but I would certainly not come back for it. French fries were freshly cooked and crispy... Yum. Service... One woman working in the front... Justin from another job with the other jobs T-shirt on... Didn't seem to know much about what was going on. Another woman who was serving food that where the orders were took seem to know the score there in terms of the menu. But she wasn't family. She didn't ask if I needed anything else when she brought my food and never came back. I got a sandwich with yellow mustard on which I absolutely do not like ever, but ate it given the circumstances and wasn't feeling like I wanted to wait for them to redo it and the environment with the lack of service. I must say too like so many places you pay they turn around for you to sign and then it asked for a tip and I absolutely refuse to tip before I get service. Or if the service is just taking an order or buying something. It's crazy. Anyway, between the food and the service, I would definitely not come back to the café. If I live closer, I'd probably come check out the bakery. That was pretty busy while I was sitting there.

I've been going there ever since. A few years ago, they added a bakery. It is chock full of delicious cookies, eclairs, cannolis, and you can even get a wedding cake there. Most recently, I went with some coworkers for lunch and ordered the Bella Mozzarella sandwich. Beautiful, thick slices of fresh mozzarella, loaded with tomatoes and basil. The bread was super fresh, and the potato salad was very flavorful. My coworker got an eclair on our way out. I just had a bite and it was divine. The older gentleman behind the counter was courteous and friendly. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the side wall is covered in shelves that contain imported pasta and various other products from Italy. There's a freezer case filled with premade meals and meat. If you haven't been there, it's definitely worth a stop

Over the years I keep going back, about once a year: I've had their sandwiches, their pastries, their pies . . . all kinda "meh" and all priced pretty reasonably but not inexpensively. Sandwiches give you a lot of everything . . . except flavor. Pastries are . . . fine. Pies are . . . fine, and kinda small (and not inexpensive, maybe reaching towards pricey); it's the kinda thing you are willing to pay for in order to bring it to a gathering, only to find almost no one bothers to eat it. And so you don't bother. The cookies are pretty good, actually. (And, yes, I know Italian delis - my Italian grandparents brought me to them in New York when I was a child. However, I'm not judging Tully's against these (as in "it's not as good as Back East"), I'm just saying it never really turns my crank.) Today I had a hot chicken, cheese, onion and pepper sandwich, the Carmela. It was a lot of food. But . . . not a lot of flavor. A whole lot of drippy mess in the bottom of my basket, though: water absolutely sopped through the (completely unmemorable tasting) bread loaf and pooled at the bottom of my basket as I ate in. The potato salad served alongside was fine - like what you'd get at Albertson's. The chicken was tender and . . . essentially without flavor, not even salt. There had clearly been a little marinade (I could sense some oregano and maybe garlic in there) but man could this thing have used about five times as much seasoning and then a healthy dose of a vinegar/garlic/oregano dressing on top of it. Bland. Lots of food in that $17 (almost $25 with tip) sandwich, but not a lot of enjoyment. I've had other Tully's sandwiches (both for here and to-go) that were better, but I can't really recall any of them . . . and I _never_ rush back. Like I said, this is a place I think about ("Hey, I'm right nearby; I should try Tully's again!") about once a year . . . and then, meh. To be fair - I believe that I am pretty out in left field on this take: Tully's is popular and always hopping. Get here early unless you want to stand in line. I only had to wait about three minutes to order, but by the time I left at noon this Friday there was a line to order all the way from the counter to the door. In terms of the room, it's a deli. Reasonably well set out with a decent amount of seating set out well, as well as some outside seating that you might want to try when it's not in the nineties. You order at the counter, pay, go get your own fountain drink (they also have some beer and wine, which they will serve you), find a seat and they'll bring it to you. When you're done, you bus it yourself. Pleasant staff - I don't regret tipping, although they don't do much. (As others have mentioned, if you get a cup of water, Tully's generously gives you a decent sized Solo cup - another plus.) It's fine. If you go, at least get yourself some cookies - they're pretty good.
