The kids invited us out for dinner so we obliged and had a great time! Had the fish and chips. Not fresh but they were pretty good. Not great but good. The burgers are where this place shines! And the fries!! Damn those fries are good!!! Had an old fashioned and they make them per good here! Staff is pretty good, a bit slow where it's not a busy night but not to the point of really questioning your decision making skills. The place is clean and all staff members are friendly.

Stopped in here after seeing a special and thought we'd check it out. We were pleasantly surprised with this little gem and found that the place was really busy on a weekday at lunch which seems to be more and more rare these days. The prices seemed reasonable and on par with other places, if not a bit less and the selection was pretty impressive- it was hard to decide what to order! The interior decor is also really nice with the High Desert vibes you would expect from the name. We each had one of the specialty burgers (Valley burger and I forget the name of the other one). They were both very tasty and the portions were generous. They have amazing fries- both the regular and sweet potato. Service was great (it was so busy we had to sit at the bar since we were in a little bit of a hurry). We plan to add this place to our rotation as there is a ton of selection that looks amazing and they have a pretty decent looking happy hour food & drink specials too. I couldn't get a good look at all the taps but that selection also seemed to be pretty impressive compared to what you see elsewhere. A good first impression and am looking forward to checking out more of the menu!

Yum yum yum!! I have been to the daves valley grill location and I have to say I enjoyed this experience better! The ambiance of this restaurant is great- low key, large and quite beautiful inside. Service was great, we were seated quickly and the food came out super fast and super fresh. I got the eggs benedict with carnitas, it came on green chile biscuits and the hollandaise sauce was out of this world. So lemony- maybe my new favorite in the city! I will def be back!

This #albuquerque restaurant review was stuck in drafts for a minute, but Shawn (spellcheck) from @daveshighdesertgrillabq snuffed me out, as these things happen, especially given that we've been to so many restaurants ! (He was a great sport and we had lovely service). The bar was popping and it was a warm day so hubby and I decided to dine Al fresco. I got the bourbon BBQ bacon burger because it came with an onion ring and it was so delicious! 5/5 will return!

Okay another great local spot! Came here to try something new and glad we did. The service was great, everyone was friendly and the food and drinks were all prepared well. I had the Cajun Andouille Burger, the candied jalapeños and sausage was great. My guest had the Meatloaf and he said it was wonderful. For dessert I had a White Russian coffee cocktail and shared the biscochito peach cobbler, dude this thing rocks and stole the whole show. I would come here just to order that again. Seriously perfect for fall or winter. Give this place a try support local businesses.

Dave's High Desert Grill is a great low-key spot for breakfast or brunch. Our waitress, Sarah, was very friendly and personable, which made the experience even better. The food prices are reasonable, and the portions--especially the desserts--are huge. My favorites are the Lobster Benedict and the salmon dinner. If you're looking for a quiet, chill restaurant, Dave's is a solid choice. One note: the menu lists a half rack of ribs, but it comes with only four pieces.

We are always searching for breakfast and brunch spots on our vacation and this place was AWESOME when we visited Albuquerque. We had a Sunday Funday brunch here, the mimosas were very refreshing and the food was very filling! We sat outside and the staff was great about opening the umbrellas to shield us from the sun - the inside of the restaurant had beautiful floor to ceiling windows. Our server was really nice, he had a lot of great suggestions and steered us in the right direction. I had the avocado toast - delicious fluffy scrambled eggs on a buttery and crispy slice of toast. My boyfriend and I shared the Whiskey Banana Walnut Pancakes and holy smokes were they delicious. If you like sweet treats I would definitely suggest this - but it was very very filling so be prepared!

It was extremely busy and loud. I didn't wait in line to order, but it took them 50 minutes to prepare our salads. The service wasn't very friendly or helpful at first. I'm hoping it was because they were so busy. We had to leave 10 minutes after getting our salads so I had to take most of it home which was disappointing. On a good note, the salads were amazing. They were the best salads I've ever tasted which I why I'm giving three stars instead of less. My mom ordered the 505 Cobb and they forgot her chicken which was frustrating after waiting for nearly an hour. However, they did make up for it by making her extra chicken! And their chicken was absolutely delicious!! I ordered Persephone's Lunch which was outstanding. I added chicken to it which made it nearly $20 for a bowl salad. The seating is open and you order and sit down wherever you can find. The seating is hard on your backside and uncomfortable, especially when waiting for so long. The salads and fresh ingredients are delectable. If I ever return, it will be a to go order that is put in very early. Cheers!

Although they do sell coffee, soda, water and sports drinks. By the way, you arent permitted to bring your own spirits in either. A bit disappointed with that because I just won't drink soda with a fine cigar...its just wrong in every way. So I decided on a medium roast coffee, because they were out of a dark roast, which was made from a Pod and not freshly brewed. The lounge does have a humidor with a variety of cigars. And not that they had a poor or a small selection, but lets just say that I was happy I brought my own. The gentleman who greeted us ( Raul) gave us the run down of the lounge, was polite, informative and professional. Although I wish we had known or was informed of this, but we unknowingly entered an open doored area that was apparently only for its "members" and was asked to exit the area. No big deal. Although my daughter is of the legal age of 21, unfortunately like many businesses in Albuquerque, they wouldn't accept my daughter's vertical drivers license. And I understand NM has their own laws on vertical vs horizontal DL's, but to not accept a US Passport was a bit too much. And trust me, I do understand I was in New Mexico. I maintained my bearing, professionalism and discipline. As a law enforcement officer in a state where the laws are much stricker when it comes to the sale of tobacco and alcohol products or services to a minor, trust me I understand completely.... but to say they don't honor her United States passport? Well, that really sort of put a damper on the nights experience. Okay...maybe its just what I may be accustomed to, but I want to enjoy my Padrons in comfort and with a feshly prepared adult beverage and not be nudged or climbed on by the residents bulldogs. If my review seems a bit harsh...Its not meant to be,but I'm built different and I believe in being honest for criticism for future growth of a business or establishment. I do wish this establishment luck in its future endeavors because its does have potential.

I think the restaurant should swap for a nicer EVOO, but the complimentary bread was a nice tide-me-over while we looked over the menu. My only other note: cleanliness of the dinnerware. He found a food bit dried on his fork and requested a new one, but then (the exterior of) his wine glass was smudged with something crusty, too... Not the server's fault by any means, but definitely something we hope the restaurant will pay closer attention to in the future. I got chicken Parmesan, and he got the traditional gnocchi. The server was kind to accommodate my request for Alfredo on the pasta side, and we were both super impressed by the house made tomato sauce. My chicken was perfectly cooked, and the pasta wasn't overcooked - which was a marked difference from M'Tucci's (and other Italian-American restaurants we've tried in the ABQ area). We agreed that we want to return to Joe's because it was a quick, easy, affordable, and super satisfying meal. Thanks, Joe's Pasta House! See you again soon.

She also seemed very distracted and did not have good recall when we were putting in our orders. This also happened the first time we came to eat at social house a year ago, but it felt more pronounced this time. And the restaurant was not full. Probably a third full of patrons? We were seated at 6:45 and our food did not arrive until 830. Quite the wait if you ask me. Finally, the kitchen was having some sort of smoke issue. If you've never been in an establishment where the grease smell and smoke is visibly accumulating in the air, you know it's quite distracting from a dining experience. It was so smoky inside. I actually caught myself blinking my eyes to see if it was just my vision being blurry or if it was the room. Our food was fine, the pork belly was a standout. Otherwise, I'm not sure I need to come here again. I wish that they would get a better handle on service timing, because that seems to be an ongoing issue.
