Heard about Dave's online and was eager to try it once I found out there was an Albany location... my girlfriend decided it would be a good idea to try it without me and went ahead and did just that. She loved it, so naturally we went on a date and boy oh boy does Dave fry up some delicious chicken! First time I went it was delicious and had me dreaming about it until it was an acceptable time for me to have it again. I have to say the 2 slider meal is a clear winner, the juicy chicken on a soft bun with pickles and slaw drizzled in the nice sauce, can't get any better than that. Now if you ask the boss, my girlfriend, she's a fan of the 2 tendies meal so i'm obligated to say that's the best choice (it's definitely not). Their fries are pretty good too for a crinkle cut but isn't the main attraction at this park. The explanation of the differences in heat was not the best, but that can be hard to explain. "How hot is the hot?".... Hot. Our order was to go, so I tried it when I got home. I ordered the medium, and Jughead got the mild. Neither of them burned your palate. What I can say us they had seasoning, though. It was possibly a little too salty, but the flavor was good. My only issues with any place going this route, it's all fried chicken (large tenders here). Sometimes, it can lead to dryness (theirs isn't too bad), but I wish some would find an alternative to just FRIED spicy chicken. read more
