Checked out Dave's hot chicken and found the meal to be quite tasty. For fast food this is one of the better pieces of chicken that I've had. It is white meat but juicy, it tastes like it's been brined and the breading has lots of flavor both savory and a tiny bit sweet, nice combo. You can choose different heat levels from nonexistent to fiery and everything in between. We got fries and mac & cheese as side orders the fries I enjoyed but the mac & cheese was pretty plain, I'll stick with the chicken and fries. We will return. read more

I always wanted to try this place out. I drive by it all the time. It's usually pretty busy, so I thought today. I would give it a shot, I stopped in for lunch. the inside was clean with nicely decorated walls, which gave me a graffiti vibe. surprisingly, I was first in line when I walked in I stood there for a couple of minutes while the young man behind the register had his head down and was on his cell phone a co-worker said to him we have a customer he looked up at me I smiled and said hello I got no smile back or an apology for making me wait. In fact, he seemed very annoyed I was there he then said, "What would you like?" kind of rudely You can tell he didn't want to be there there was also a young lady with him behind the counter she was OK but you can tell she didn't want to be there either by the way she responded when I spoke to her about my missing soda I ordered. This bad excuse for customer service already turned me off to this establishment and I would not come back just because of how I was treated but since I was already there I just ordered for the first and last time. I got a daves #3 one tender and one slider with cheese and fries. The fries were the best thing in the meal, very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and very well seasoned. The tender was OK it came out hot but was a little dry. I wasn't much for the seasoning, though it had an off-putting sweetness to it that I didn't like. The slider was not that good, but also, a little dry inside, the kale slaw was watery and bland, and the daves sauce on it was just OK, nothing special. This combo meal came out to $19.59, which is very expensive for lackluster customer service and not very good food. This is a one-time try for me. I will not be coming back read more

The single blandest mac and cheese I've ever had in my life. If you're in a space where you're competing with Popeye's and KFC your mac and cheese needs to be on par. The chicken was ok. I had "hot" and it tingled a bit. It was strangely sweet. Not a fan of the kale slaw at all but I'm not a coleslaw person. Overall for me it's not worth the price point. Ahhhh! I will certainly return again. I ordered food online, i did request condiments and utensils which were not included. When i arrived the food was ready to go. The restaurant wasn't too busy, it has plenty of tables for eating in, and the space is nice and open. The staff were cleaning tables (which is nice to see). My mild chicken slider on extra soft potato bread. The chicken was well seasoned, juicy and had a nice crust. Fries were cooked and seasoned well. Very tender chicken and a good size piece for the slider. I only needed one for lunch. The slider is also served with slaw and pickle. I ordered the double sliders to share that comes with crinkly fries. For $14, this is a great deal. In my opinion, there was too much cumin. It was a bit overpowering. I did order the the mild. I can't do spicy anymore, so I can't speak for the rest of the spice levels. The staff was very nice and the order came out fast. The decor of the space is really modern and spacious. This is why, This is why, This is why Dave's is hot. Their chicken is awesome. I'm not sure it's totally authentic Nashville hot chicken, but it's crispy and flavorful. I was worried the wait would be crazy because of all the hype, but the staff keeps things moving and the space is big enough that you don't feel caught up in a mob. I was so excited to try this place when I saw it opened. I like spicy food, and I can tolerate it pretty well, but just be aware the mild chicken is still really hot! The flavors were really powerful and I find that in spicy food they aren't so prominent, but here they were. The menu is quite limited, but the place is new and I can only assume they'll expand in the future. The place is by the university so of course it'll be busy! The staff was very nice and didn't seem stressed even though the dining area was packed shoulder to shoulder when I went. I'm excited to try again. read more

I am addicted to this place. I tried it for the first time a few months ago and unfortunately have gotten it almost every week since. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the food or the service. It's exactly what I want every time and the employees are always so kind. The only thing I have noticed is how wet the takeout bag is. Every time the cardboard is soaking wet and the napkins are see-through because they're so wet. I know this must be because they just throw the chicken in hot off the press, but my god it is so wet. There must be a solution to this. I get that special hype for halal Nashville style chicken is very popular nowadays. The service was okay, the staff were fairly nice (not something you often see in these chain restaurants) and the Ambiance was that childish modern look with those walls that give it a really cool and unique look. When it comes to the food, I bread, sauce, fries and Mac and cheese were good. Pretty good. I unfortunately was too scared to try the Hot Chicken so went for a mild. The mild wasn't up to the mark unfortunately. It was a bit too salty, and the chicken didn't have that particular taste I was looking for from here. It might've been my lack of courage for getting a mild. I did go with others who tried the hot chicken and they were fairly satisfied and called it yummy. So although, I'm not impressed with the chicken when flavoured mild, the hot chicken might taste good! Can't wait to get back again to try the hot chicken next time! read more

Best chicken sandwich/tenders (whole breast meat) customized to your heat level, you'll find. Service a bit slow, but you can order ahead. Must try the dipping sauce. Chicken with or without a roll are your choices, except for a few sides. read more
