The teen and I ordered delivery through Grub Hub, we got two strips with mac and cheese ( mild because I am still not eating spicy things) and two sliders, medium because my kid was putting a toe in the hot chicken waters, add cheese, with fries. We ordered extra Dave's sauce, honey packets, and milkshakes- one chocolate and one vanilla.The shakes were creamy and good. The Dave's sauce is pretty tasty (like a fry sauce). We both liked putting the honey on the chicken. The crinkly fries were all right, and the mac and cheese was pretty good but a little goopy for me tbh. Dave's Hot Chicken was lunch as my kid saw one of them and wanted to try. He got the medium sauce for his strips and liked them , the strips are pretty good size. I got the meal with a slider & a strip and it filled me up, I got the hot and it was definitely hot lol. Drinks don't come with the meals which kinda I'd surprising based on the cost but it was worth it. I'd been to the other location a few times...excited to have a closer one! I had my first visit yesterday, Sunday for lunch. Not knowing how busy they'd be since they'd recently opened, I opted to order online. The parking at this location is plentiful, but busy and crowded. They've got a bit of outdoor seating as well as a small indoor dining room. They've also got a pick-up window for online orders...great idea to keep the indoor crowds down a bit. Although unfortunately the sign wasn't lit up above the window from outside, so we didn't even notice it until we'd returned to the car with our food. They were definitely busy, but not crazy. My online order stated a pick-up time, but it took 15 minutes past that time until our order was ready. They had a good rhythm going inside to keep the orders moving and numbers called. However, our online order name was never called out...we checked in a couple of times and luckily asked only a minute or so after our sack had been placed over onto the take-out shelf. Our plates were made to order, although compared to the older location my slider was slightly off. Still yummy, but with only a bite of slaw to be found at one end of the bun. lol after waiting in line at Powell's for what seemed to be an hour, I decided to bail. It was 2 pm and I was "starving". Unfortunately my parking choice was assuming that I would have mostly empty bags on the way back. I trudged back up to the Jamba parking lot and drove over to Dave's place. I was hungry, but not 2 slider hungry, so I got the #4 with a small fountain drink. Ok so 9.95 for the sandwich (I refuse to call it a slider) and a reasonable portion of fries was reasonable. The $3 for the small drink was kinda kooky though. Because profit margin. Anyway the sandwich was fire. I just got medium heat, maybe next time I will bump it up a notch. The chicken was super flavorful and combined with the crisp pickles, kale slaw, and their somewhat familiar sauce it tasted delicious. Just the right amount of tang and crunch to amplify the experience. The fries were tasty as well. And just the right amount. I have decided that Dave's Hot, is like Five Guys and Chik-Fil-A had a baby and I don't feel like I am compromising my morals when I eat there. I'm not big into spicy, but love fried chicken, so I wanted to try it out. No line on a Sunday around noon. I ordered the #2 Sliders with fries Lite mild, which is one level above "no spice." It was yummy with a slightly sweet seasonwouldn't necessarily describe it as "spicy" at all. The breading on the chicken is very light, which is nice. The buns are slightly sweet, soft, and nicely buttered and toasted, but since the chicken is definitely long (tenders?), it would be better-suited for a hotdog-like bun. The slaw is minimal, and I wouldn't mind more. The sauce is like a slightly spiced (like paprika) ranch. They give you extra pickles and sauce. The crinkle fries are slightly battered and spiced as well and were still a little crispy after the car ride home. Staff was very friendly, and it took about 5 minutes to get my food. Because the burgers were also called sliders so I thought they were going to be like small but they were normal sized. So I couldn't finish my meal at all. For any small eaters, I would recommend getting a single slider and other sides if you want. As for the spice level, I got hot and extra hot and I can say that extra hot is too hot. I had never tried Dave's Hot Chicken but my friend had a coupon on Grubhub so we gave it a try tonight. We each ordered a two tender combo, with one mild one medium, a side of kale slaw, and a side of Mac and cheese. First of all, the chicken is absolutely five stars. The tenders were large and juicy with perfectly crisp breading with excellent flavor. We ordered mild and medium to try, and the medium was a very light heat, so I would imagine the hot is closer to what a typical Nashville Hot would be. Unfortunately everything else was 2-3 stars at best. The fries were standard golden crinkles and would be pretty decent fresh. For some reason we couldn't order a side of cheese sauce, but I imagine that would be quite satisfying with both the fries and the chicken. The mac and cheese was just OK, pretty bland, similar to Velveeta but less creamy. The kale slaw was fresh and crunchy but completely flavorless. No acid, no seasoning, not even salt. Both the slaw and the Mac and cheese could have been so much better with just any amount of seasoning! Very disappointing. Lastly, the bread was stale and essentially inedible, and "Dave's sauce" seems to just be fry sauce with a bit of paprika. We didn't try a sandwich but if the buns are good quality, then just a sandwich with fresh cheese fries might be a 4 star experience. I also think mixing a spicy tender in the Mac and cheese would be satisfying. Overall there are a lot of places to get fried chicken with better sides, but if the perfectly crisp tender is at your heart and soul, then Dave's can deliver on that front at least. read more

Overall, this is not what I expected. The chicken was not juicy thus no need for the bread to soak up any juice of which there is none. In my mouth it feels like sand paper dry rub. I liked it fine. They also walked around and asked how the food was tasting for everyone which is a nice touch! I always get the slider or sliders, medium is the best of bot world a little spicy but not too much so you can still enjoy the crispy juicy chicken! I typically get the kale-slaw as my side, it is on the creamier side of coleslaw but I usually add a honey packet to lighten it up. I love the size of chicken you get in between the buttery soft buns. The service is what makes this location! Headed in right at noon and no line, with 3 combos the menu is straight forward. The sliders are more like regular chicken sandwiches. Drinks are not included in the order. Cheese is not automatically on the slider, unless added (from pictures it may look like it, it is just Dave's sauce) Got myself #3 (one tender medium heat and one slider with mild heat) and the food came out within 5 minutes, picked up at another counter. Headed outside to eat as there is quite a lot of tables. The chicken itself is larger and thicker than your average tender, the heat is more from a dry rub rather than a sauce base, so with that said I wish I got a higher heat rating. Though the juiciness of the chicken and amount of food made it enjoyable. Napkins and to go silverware along with ketchup and honey packets available when you pick up. Really like that you can choose multiple heat levels for your tenders and sliders- stickers placed to tell you which heat level is for each item Convenient to order online as the pick up window is located on the side of the restaurang, with a bell if you need. This window is also used to call out order numbers if the customers are seated outside too. Service is above and beyond! Crystal took my order and explained everything, they do have a first time guest button on their menu as there was a special mark on my receipt and was thanked. Chicken was fresh, crispy, and hot. Fries were fresh. I got the single tender and one slider meal. I initially thought it sounded pricy for one tender and one slider, but they're huge. food is pretty good, service is alright, but it gets very busy especially after 7-8pm. the male worker with a bunch of ear piercings at the front counter had an attitude, but i can understand how frustrating customer service at food places can be. the only thing i don't like about this place is how tiny the sauce containers are. you can dip your slider maybe 2 times and it's gone LOL. 50 cents for a tiny little container of sauce, maybe the size of a quarter in width, and 3 quarters in height. very small, i guess 50 cents isn't much but i wish they had larger sauce containers for different prices. the shakes and slushes are very expensive so i never get drinks from here. read more

We stopped by on Sunday for lunch. We placed our order online and it was so fast and easy. Our order was ready in ten minutes and there's a pickup window, so you don't even have to go inside. I'm so happy I read that the portions are giant before ordering. My daughter and I split a slider and one tender which was more than enough food. I loved her slider and would get that next time. The tender was moist and delicious despite being huge. It was hard to eat and I think I would have preferred two smaller tenders. I did love their signature sauce, it was so good on its own but even better mixed with some ketchup. The fries were crinkled, crispy, and well seasoned. My husband loved his medium chicken tenders.
