My bf and I each got the 2 slider combo and Mac & cheese. The tenders in the sliders were ultra crispy and delicious, fries were crunchy - could be a tad bit crispier. Mac and cheese was solid - nothing special, it's on the runnier side for Mac. Each combo came with Dave's sauce plus extra honey and more Dave sauce packets on the side. We got a side of ranch too but it was kinda annoying that it wasn't resealable for us to take to-go. The wait took a while but I appreciate the fresh food! Little to no interaction with the staff in store since we ordered on the kiosk; the tables were also dirty when we came so we had to wipe it down ourselves. I honestly didn't mind waiting as long as the food was good when I got it. But after the drive and the wait, everything was cold. Of all the Dave's locations I have been to this one is the most unwelcoming. Their restrooms are covered in graffiti (that is not part of the theme), their handwashing area is not very conducive to being used at full capacity, and just overall was dirty both inside the stall and out. The times I've been to this location in the past the staff has been lukewarm and today it was more of a cold interaction. Look, I dont know if its because I am a black man in a Asian community or what. I walked in with my wife after getting 2 orders canceled over sauces that they clearly had upon arrival. Uber eats stated my order was ready at 8:26pm. We arrived at 8:29pm. When I walked in the lady clearly said "order ready for Justin" I walked up to the counter and showed her my phone with the complete order so she would know that the order was legit and valid. Another guy came up next to me asian decent and she took his word for it and gave him my order in my face and told me that she was working on my order. We literally watched 6 other orders go before us. We waited so long that even another customer looked at us and was astounded that his order came before mine. The lady then asked the young man in the back about the order and he then told her that she messed up and gave out the wrong order after I told her that she gave out the wrong order. So 30 mins after my pick up time we then got our order. This totally put a bad taste on my overall experience after spending over $70.00 on this order. Whoever is the order checker needs to be restrained ASAP. I literally showed her my paid for order. She by passed the order and gave my order to someone else based on their word and gave them the wrong order. Will I be a return customer. Highly unlikely. Will I post this on Google and Yelp. You know, I love Dave's Hot Chicken. Upon arriving here, I felt that this place needs a little bit of attention from the owners. The employees seem to be pretty disconnected from what they're supposed to be doing because I stood the counter for a while and then finally someone came up and said I'll be with you in a second and then finally said do you have a pick up? I told him no I wanted to order so I ordered in that point forward. Young man was actually very friendly and helpful. It did take about 15 minutes to get my food which in my opinion is a little too long. But once I receive my food, the food was fresh tasty as usual and frankly put I was happy with my food. The decor the place is different than the other Dave's Hot Chicken's in Ventura County that I'm used to which is it's cleaner it's nicer. It's well organized this one seem like it's missing furniture and just has open space and it kind of feels not like it's typical it felt like it was you know a warehouse kind of feel I'm still gonna give this a high rating because I love Dave's Hot Chicken and it's excellent food.
