On my second visit since Dave's Hot Chicken had first opened its doors in Indio, I was introduced by Yahaira who was at the register, "Hello Welcome In" and with a smile. She was consistent with every other customer who had entered as well, which made the place feel more alive. I did have a few questions about what to order and the spice levels. I ended up with Yahaira's go-to order. The transaction went smoothly. I did not make it complicated and neither did she and Yahaira did not mind speaking about her favorite orders at the restaurant. I ate at the restaurant as I sat down and waited for my order. I noticed when the restaurant had slowed down, Yahaira kept the restaurant clean and fixed chairs to make the place look neat while asking every customer how their food was and how their visit to Dave's Hot Chicken was going. My food was amazing, and the seasoning was seasoning! Tasty hot food with spice/warmth and crispy fries. The foods really good, the workers are really sweet or atleast the ones I have encountered. Today I saw an employee I have never seen before, her name was Katie I believe and she was the sweetest! Super nice and patient. My go-to is the 2 sliders and I get them in "HOT" since its not toooo spicy to the point im having trouble eating it but its also not like I cant taste the spicyness its the perfect level of it, I replace the fries with mac and cheese not because the fries aren't good because they are super good but I prefer the mac and cheese. The customer service here is AMAZING, the young man that took our order was really nice and very attentive. It would be great if there were more employees like him out there. I know there was some online/phone orders that people were picking up but took so long for 3 pieces of chicken. There was absolutely no urgency. I said no no I got it, gave her my card. She gave me the burritos. She asked me if I wanted fresh salsa or the packets. Hard to believe some of the negative " haters" on Yelp who must be very unhappy with their own lives. Especially the guy who blamed Riyad for an Uber Eats/Door Dash delivery driver issue. If one is intelligent enough to understand that third party delivery services have NOTHING to do with a given restaurant. These kind, hard working people deserve praise for their commitment to their customers!
