This is the number #2, two sliders and fries. The picture shows one of the two slider. Definitely share this meal. $14.49

First off, Laura at the front counter was fantastic--so friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared about making our first experience at Dave's a great one. Honestly, I don't think I've ever been helped by someone so professional and welcoming at a counter. She really set the tone. The food was excellent, and the portions are huge! I gave the food 4 out of 5 stars--not because it wasn't good, but just based on personal preference. I ordered the "hot" level, and while it had great flavor and plenty of heat, I personally prefer a saucier, wet-style hot chicken over the powdered seasoning. Still, the chicken was very juicy and fresh, and the sauces were amazing. Prices are a little on the higher side, but the quality backs it up. Next time, I'll split a meal with my partner--it's definitely more than enough for one person with a healthy appetite. We'll absolutely be back.

I am obsessed with Dave's Hot Chicken! The spiciness is awesome, and the flavor fresh. I've only ever ordered delivery, and despite the distance from the restaurant to my house and office, it's always hot and crispy! The fries are tasty as well, and I'm a huge fan of Dave's sauce. Absolutely delicious. I just can't get over the juiciness of the chicken tenders! This place definitely makes the rotation for my weekly lunches.

Went on a Friday night. Not too busy. Parking was on the other side of crisp and green but there was lots of spaces available. The staff was very nice. Able to use the app for rewards easily. The designs were pretty cool. The slushees were GOOD. I had the strawberry lemonade. Would get again.

I've a few Dave's Hot Chicken locations and it always hits! I am personally a fan of the hot level - I think that is a good heat without being unbearable. I would definitely recommend a sandwich over just the tenders. The bun, slaw, sauce, and pickles make it. I wish I remembered the name of the cashier when we went, but he was super sweet! :) I'll be back!

Food is great! The service that I get every single time I go in is also great. I have been treated with the up most respect every time. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that my order is correct. I don't do a lot of fast food but Dave's Hot Chicken is right up there with one of the few that I will go to.

I come here all the time with friends and get the 2 sliders with the included fries for around 15$. It's a cheap, delicious meal for 2. I've yet to have a bad meal here! Service is always quick and usually friendly. Chicken is more flavorful than Chick-fil-A and great if you love spicy. We love the seasoned fries and always ask for extra Dave's sauce!

I had dinner from here. The place was larger and I expected. It was modern as well. I went with daves #2 2 sliders with fries. I went extra hot. That was actually hotter than I would like. I should have just ordered hot. Mac n cheese side was just ok. Dave's sauce was good. I also went for a top loaded oreo vanilla milk shake. This is the worst milkshake I had in Wisconsin. Generally all milkshakes in WI are rich and creamy.

Love Dave's chicken! I opted for Dave's #1 combo which included two tenders and fries ($11.99). It's cool that you can choose plain (no spice) all the way up to a truly HOT level of spice. Even your fries can be made spicy if you choose them to be. I went plain chicken, plain fries. They were very delicious! The white meat tenders were literally SO Tender and delicious!! My plain fries were coated with a light sprinkle of seasoning, but they were not spicy at all. The Dave's Hot Chicken sauce included in my combo was awesome with the tenders. The combo was stacked on two pieces of white bread, which was not appealing to me. I think next time I will ask to skip the bread. This may be my new favorite fast-food Chicken place.

Cool vibe, large pieces of chicken, comes with a piece of bread and pickles. You pick your spice or heat at this place. I'm always amazed seeing more quick chicken restaurants popping up. According to my kids they said it's right up there in same level as chick fil a. Above Raising Canes. Nice seating area outside during nicer months. Be prepared to pay a little more but it's bigger than a normal chicken tender.

As others have said, it is a bit pricier than you'd expect of a fast food type place. That said, it is pretty good. I got two tenders and fries. The bread is nothing special, just standard white bread. The tenders are generously sized and they were very nice and crispy after taking them home. I got the "hot" spice level which I'd say is fairly accurate. They don't use the Midwest spice scale. It's the kind of spiciness where you'd prefer to savor a bit instead of wolfing it down. I was also surprisingly full after this meal although I didn't think it was that much food at first.

This is an outpost of this growing chicken fingers restaurant. Located on the corner and parking is to the rear. Located near a BBQ place and several other businesses. Handicap parking is available and no drive through service. You enter the restaurant and place your order. Various options for chicken and sauces. Cash, and credit card. They take on line orders as well. Based on my first and last visit, most people placed on line orders. Requested no pickles and yes I had pickles. They must cook to order, chicken fingers were hot, fries were not hot. Apparently, you can download the apps for a free soft drink. I tried, and didn't get it. Yes, the manager was called. No free drink. If you want to have a conversation with others, best to have it earlier or after you depart the restaurant. Music volume is way to high and hard surfaces so not absorb the noise and music. I don't see any reason to return.

The décor and overall aesthetic are lovely, but the food and service didn't come close to matching the first time. The biggest issue was temperature. Majority of food on the plate was not hot and not warm -- not the chicken, not the rice, not the beans. At the previous location, you could see the chickens roasting on the spit, and the food arrived hot and fresh. Here, I'm not sure what's happening behind the scenes, but the food temps indicate it had all been sitting. The only item that was freshly prepared were the plantains. I didn't bring it up to the server because she was checked out the entire time, and honestly, I can't expect her to remedy the kitchen if she can't bring waters. Why is the kitchen sending out food that clearly isn't hot? Is it being held in a steamer? If so the temps are not being checked and that becomes a food safety issue beyond quality‑control issues. Service itself also missed the mark. The pretty glasses are small -- though pretty-- and I had to flag the server down for refills. Same with the sauces that are supposed to come with the meal; they only arrived after I asked. To be clear it was 1:00 on a Monday and there was one other table in the place at arrival, and one table after our arrival. I had been planning another visit to introduce a different friend, but after this experience, I don't think I'll be returning. I hope things improve, because the new space deserves better execution than what's currently coming out of the kitchen.

Food? life-changing fried chicken, cheese curds, and cocktails that I'm still not over. Environment? somehow cozy and cool at the same time. This is the kind of place that feels way too unique to ever become a chain... which is devastating news because I desperately wish there was one in Kansas City. And honestly, that's probably why it's so special. It feels deeply Madison in the best way- intentional, high quality, and focused on doing their thing really, really well. Also, shoutout to Ian, the manager, who was amazing and made an already great experience even better with trinkets! Overall, nothing to write home about, but nothing bad. I ordered the Butterbird Classic (fried chicken sandwich) but removed the pickles. I got the sauce on the side. I'd been worried the lettuce would overtake the chicken, but it was a very small amount of lettuce that really had no impact either way on the sandwich. The chicken thigh was a decent size and cooked very nicely. There wasn't much to it, it didn't really have much flavor, but again it wasn't bad at all. I tried one bite without the sauce, then added a small amount of sauce. It's got a dill vibe going on which I dislike, so I did not add any more, but the sauce did help with some flavor. My co-worker got her sandwich with the sauce on it, and it was also a very small amount of sauce. On the side, I got way more sauce and gave the rest of mine to her. She used almost all of it.   I also got the French fries with my order. They were good fries where I did not feel any need to use ketchup with them. We all commented that they reminded of us McDonald's fries, but obviously a little bit more gourmet. Another coworker got the coleslaw instead of fries, and said that it was good but way less substantial than the fries. So, the food didn't live up to the hype, and I'm not sure I'd spend the money again, but I do really want to try their Old Fashioned on Tap... so I might have to go visit in person when I'm not working and get another order.

Delivery was unsatisfactory, directions were specific on how to be let into our building, the directions were ignored. Food was left outside to get cold, if I had not noticed the delivery had been completed, it could have spent a significant amount of time outside since we were expecting the door intercom to buzz.
