I was super excited about trying out this place because it was being hyped as the competitor to Cane's. I have seen people wait in line for like 45 minutes to a hour in a massive line to try their chicken tenders. Thankfully, we only waited in line for 20 minutes. Yeah, i was very disappointed thought the chicken would be tender and melt in your mouth. It was tough to chew and hard to swallow. Definitely, not tender. Not worth waiting in line for it and the quality isn't worth the price point. Don't think there will long lines after people try this place out. I don't know maybe I got a bad batch. Thought maybe the bread would floor me but it seemed like they just went to local Giant bought bread and slightly toasted it and then, placed it under the chicken tender. Ordered extra hot combo 2: which is 2 tender sliders, with fries and pickles; hot not ckn nuggets: 6 pieces of battered and fried cauliflower, and a strawberry milkshake. Unfortunately the chicken wasn't juicy and the spice coating really dries out your mouth, the chicken doesn't really taste like anything and the spice flavors are quite dull. Idk if they messed up, but the hot was spicier than the extra hot. The cauliflower was good at first, but it was just eating oil near the end of the meal. The milkshake was solid. Wow. First timer at DHC and I had no idea what I was missing! I placed an order online for the slider/fries combo and even though this was a to go order, everything was still hot, crispy (even the fries), and tasted fresh at pickup. The fries, Dave's sauce and the medium spice level tender saved this from being 3 stars. Seen reviews and a lot of nice pictures of food and I was a little disappointed after trying it. Ordered a #3 which is a slider, tender and fries and I also added another tender. One tender was medium, one was no spice and the slider was mild. I do not eat pickles or slaw so I can't comment on those, I didn't have them. The no spice tender is pretty much the no seasoning tender. No seasoning at all. This is not a place you go for tenders and expect them to be tasty, you must get a spice level for flavor. The mild slider was okay but not much seasoning or spice. It does have the Dave's sauce on it with a potato bun which helps. The medium was just perfect as far as taste and spice are concerned for me. I would def get that spice level again. I wouldn't do anything lower than mild which is little spicy and no spice. If you don't like heat start at mild or maybe little spice. I'm not sure about little spice though, but the difference between no spice and mild isn't that big of a jump so I don't think little spice has much flavor, so starting at mild would be good. Fries are crispy and have some seasoning on them, so good! Everything was fresh and hot without a doubt. Customer service is great as well. The space is pretty decent, but how they have the seats makes it seem smaller than it is. Nice artwork on the walls too. The food was $18.74, pretty fair prices, filets are nice size, most ppl will be good with one. The Dave's sauce it's slightly sweet and savory, nice mix. I visited the first time in November. The tenders were large and were part of an entire chicken breast. Also they were juicy & loaded with seasonings. I ordered the mild level of spice, which was tasty and had a little heat. Revisited yesterday & totally different experience. The two tenders COMBINED were the same size of 1 tender I received in the past. The spice levels changed too. My mild was tasty, but no heat. Seemed like a dry rub. This place rocks let me tell you for around $13 you get two chicken sandwiches, which are well seasoned, juicy and large with an amazing sauce and pickles, fries, which are plenty for two and soda. Not only does the food but the ambience is also pretty cool and hip. This is probably my favorite chicken sandwich from a chain in the area go try it! read more

They served many dine in customers that ordered after me as I stood there staring at the staff wondering if they forgot my order. I checked in, but "they were working on it". They staff was apologetic about the wait, but it just didn't seem justified based on customer volume and the decision to serve customers after me. The food is just ok. The flavor was fine, but the seasoning over-coated the food so the texture was a bit too dry. You NEED to use a lot of sauce to save it from itself. read more

I'm not the biggest fan of Dave's to be quite honest. The chicken sandwich tasted like school lunch, and maybe it's just me but it had a plastic or McDonald's taste to it. Kraft Mac and cheese is better than theirs. The best thing I had was there fries and honey. Overhyped imo. read more

Decided to try Dave's Hot Chicken since it recently opened. It was crowded but the line went quickly to order. It did take quite a while for the food to come out. I had #4 slider with fries and ordered it Hot level . Chicken was juicy but I was disappointed with the pickles and sauce. Just thought they would have a bit more flavor. Pleasantly surprised by the fries. I am not a fan of crinkle fries but they were crispy and had a nice flavor. I couldn't feel any heat at all on both orders. I went there twice to order the reaper just to confirm that there was no heat at all. So tried this place today. Seems a bit pricey for chicken but it is what it is. The facility is nice and clean. They also have an outdoor area. I ordered the two piece tender with fries, hot level of spice. It took about five minutes for them to make it. Fast considering. First impression was the size of the tenders. They are very big, more like half a boneless breast. The crinkle cut fries are nice and they include very nice pickle slices, two pieces of white bread and a sauce. The spice is a dry seasoning. Most places when they say hot it is really mild. Dave's hot is actually hot. Nice kick to it. I don't think I would try the higher levels. The chicken was moist, cooked right and very good. The fries were good, could have gone a little longer but they tasted good. The pickles were excellent and the dipping sauce worked well with the chicken. The only annoying thing is I asked for catsup and they gave me one small pack. I had to grab some more. Otherwise a good experience. read more
