Got helped quickly and went through the process easily w all my questions answered! happy I was able to get my glasses same day since I was able to find a pare of frames I liked. Came in to polarize a new set of sunglasses. The Korean lady was really polite and professional. I thought I was going to have a smooth, quick work from Davichi. I was wrong. The week after I requested the polarized sunglasses, I came in and tried it on. Something was really weird, and I told the staff. They were looking at each other and speaking Spanish as if I were lying to them. One of them even looked offended that I didn't just accept the sunglasses as is. After I persisted that something was off, a Filipino gentleman came over to the table and checked. He admitted that the polarization percentage was off and needed to be redone. Another week later, I came back in to check the "fixed" sunglasses. It got better, but I still didn't feel comfortable with it. Spoke up about it and (the Korean lady was there that day) the lady checked the glasses. She then said that the lab only worked on the left side of the lens, and the right side didn't even have the right prescription. The staff, again, looked puzzled and made themselves look busy. The Korean lady then apologized profusely. Because of here sincereity, I was willing to wait for them to do another week. However, by now, it was a day after Christmas, and they were saying that the lab is going to have delays because New Years was coming up. Now, I'm getting a little annoyed... "Okay, I'll come pick up a week after the New Years week to give you plenty of time," I said. January 10th, 2024. I called right before I headed over to Davichi just in case.... THEY STILL DONT HAVE IT! The staff weren't apologetic, and they didn't even want to deal with me anymore. They transferred my call to three different people before telling me that the glasses would arrive the next day.... The next day, it's not here, and I've been told that it's "on the way.". I usually dont write reviews (especially bad ones), but the only positive thing I can say about this place is that the Korean lady and the Filipino gentleman are courtrous and professional. I highly recommend against coming here, and if you HAVE TO, make sure you check your prescription very carefully before leaving the place. read more

Nondescript, yet when it comes to quickly getting your eye exam, glasses and contacts there's no place like it. Walked in today at 10am, I got my eye exam in 15 minutes, paid $40 for glasses prescription and $40 for contact lens prescriptions. Took in 2 of my glasses (already had good ones) and it took them 2hrs get them ready. Paid $95 to get two glasses prescribed with anti scratch, anti glare and blue ray. Now that is hard to beat! I wouldn't come here for designer glasses/sunglasses since their options are limited. This doesn't bother me since I mostly buy them at department stores (with the gift cards I receive). Department stores are best since they have the latest glasses and you get to try them on. Some also offer generous guarantees. I love the staff and how they provide quality services for an affordable price. I just got pho next doors and drank coffee and my glasses were ready. For a busy person like me, this place is perfect-no waiting forever in waiting room, no appointments, no waiting for days to get my glasses. Also, I read ton of reviews before choosing Davich.Most of the reviews on other shops simply talked about friendly service which was quite frustrating since I had no idea how long it would take, how much it would cost and if I can do a walk in. Fantastic service! I had to pay a visit to LA earlier this morning so I had called Davich Optical asking if I can come in later today to have my glasses checked due to one of the lenses being a bit blurry compared to the other. The person who answered the phone was very quick and helpful and told me I can come in any time. Fast forward to 30 minutes later, I walked into the office and was able to see Dr. Chen within 10 minutes. He had redone an eye exam on me to see if there was a difference in my vision and was able to get my eyesight correctly. (Honestly every time I do an eye exam 1 and 2 always looks the same to me. So that's on me for the incorrect lens.) Again thankfully they had the lenses available and told me that everything will be done within 1 hour. Glad they were able to fix the problem so quickly and efficiently! I am wearing my glasses again and I can see much more clearly than before. Thank you! read more

I was never seen by the doctor here or had anything prescribed BUT I had been wanting to buy sunglasses for a long time so I popped in here many times throughout this last year. Customer service here is amazing!! I would get treated sooo well even if I ended up not buying anything. I recently went back because I needed to buy polarized sunglasses because I got Lasik Eye Surgery. Let me tell you, everyone was super attentive!! But, the one who ended up helping me the most was Karen. Karen is such a sweet soul! She made me feel so comfortable when I was being indecisive and she helped me figure out which brand would be the best fit for me. I purchased Maui Jim sunglasses which are super lightweight and was told they are durable with proper care. I am so happy with my glasses! I have two weeks with them. They also give you a case and a cloth. She also went out of her way to clean the glasses thoroughly and I got them fitted. Okay, she even fixed and cleaned my partners glasses for free! I'm not sure about price ranges but they did give me a discount for my first purchase. I signed up for their rewards program and I already have a $20 off coupon :) read more

I actually love this place! Dr. Chen is amazing - very friendly and knowledgeable in this field but also random subjects. The staff here is very welcoming and always greets with a hello and goodbye. It may sound like something that's basic but a lot of businesses lack it. So I went in February for my contacts and came back today to get new glasses. I was approached by associate sales manager BJ Lee () and he was so helpful and accommodating to all my needs. I had a very specific style I wanted and he definitely helped me get that. I love all the staff here but I would definitely recommend BJ if you are ever coming in for your optical needs ! FYI if you get your eye exam here, they discount your glasses by $40! Storytime: I work at a place called Gabba Gallery on Beverly x Dillon, and there's an elderly homeless man named Sam who comes into the gallery sometimes to look at the art, and talk. He seems to have some mental disabilities, however he has always been extremely kind to us, even bringing us little gifts and food. (We don't eat the food since we are really unsure of where it came from, but the gesture has always warmed my heart.) Sam has one crossed eye, and always wore glasses. A couple weeks ago I noticed he wasn't wearing them, so I asked him what happened? Sam responded saying some men beat him up and took his things, including his glasses. I was so hurt to hear this--the degree of insensitivity and malice it must take to steal an old, disabled, homeless man's GLASSES of all things -- not fashion glasses, just prescription glasses so the poor old man can SEE. I have poor eyesight myself and can't begin to imagine what it would be like being homeless without my glasses. I don't make very much money, and in fact I need an eye exam myself. But something in me can't let this man go without glasses. I called around and found a company called Angels for Sight who typically provides glasses for kids who have trouble learning because they need glasses. They told me they could do an exam and get him glasses, but the waiting list for an exam is 9 months out. However, if I could get the prescription, they could provide the glasses in the next couple weeks. I called Davich Optical, and was told an eye exam for glasses was only $40! I talked to my boss, and he agreed that $40 was something we could spare for Sam to see. So today I brought Sam in, and Dr. Chen helped us out. He was very kind, and patient with Sam. And to be fair, I imagine Sam is not the easiest patient given what seems to be a slight mental disability. (For example, Sam kept saying his first and last name was Sam, and he was born in 1986 when he is clearly much, much older). Regardless, Dr. Chen humored us and was able to figure out his Rx. And $40 for a glasses exam is very very affordable for your average person. Apparently a full comprehensive exam is $80, which is awesome. I know when it's time to get my own eyes checked, I'll definitely be coming into Davich Optical. Other pros: the entire staff is incredibly warm and friendly. Everyone that I talked to had a smile on, and spoke very warmly. Not one person had even the slightest micro-expression of being judgmental towards Sam. They had a charging station (to charge my phone) as well as a coffee and water cafe area. Two adorable cats -- whom one staff member asked right away if we had an allergy. We didn't but I appreciated how promptly she asked us, just in case. Everything was very clean and well displayed. Even though we weren't getting glasses, they have a huge selection of very nice looking glasses at different price points, starting at $50. I was very impressed. Great visit, left with a pair of contacts that were included with my exam! I used a Group on, but they also have a discount offer here on Yelp, and when I called they said they could price match most discount offers. Very nice clean location with free parking! Everyone was very nice and helpful. They do try to upsell different services additional exams, which you might need, so it's good they mention it. I just needed am exam to get my contacts refill prescription. So I stuck to the exam only. They are super nice and great at explaining things. I'll go back next time I need additional exams! I did a walk-in eye exam with Dr. Chen and it went very smoothly. Dr. Chen was very informative about my prescription and also offered a comprehensive eye exam and contacts but I stuck with the basic eye exam. I went around 3pm on a Tuesday and it was fairly empty in the store. My wait time PLUS eye exam time was about 45-50mins in total, and the eye exam costed $40. I recommend coming here for an eye exam. I checked around at other places and their eye exams range from $60-100 so Davich Optical definitely has great pricing. read more

This is my go to Optometrist. They are so welcoming and very kind. They have great prices, exams cost $40 and if you spend over $60 on eyewear they will deduct the $40. The atmosphere is clean and organized. They have free coffee or espresso and water. They have books and toys for kids and even a tv. I would highly recommend this location as it is so convenient and affordable. My husband and I came in with my coworkers family and Davich employees were super super nice and service was superb! I had gotten my glasses in Korea at the chain and was thrilled when i found that they had a location here and was more excited that the customer service was on par and even better at this location. I live in Colorado and the selection and time frame is horrible and from now on i will be a davich advocate for life! Thank you!!! For the details Exams are $40 which get credited when you buy a pair and the frames start at $50 and up and lenses are $90 and up for single vision with double compression i think. I got 2 pairs $50 each frame with double compression (poly) and a high index (triple compression) and it came out to only $300! Talk about a great deal! The first time I came in, I was just looking to get a repair done on some old frames. Was greeted upon arrival and was treated with friendly smiles. I handed over my glasses to be examined, browsing their (incredible) selection of frames while I waited. They have budget options for $50, 100 and 150 as well as great designer choices. After about 20 minutes, one of the opticians came back out to explain to me that my glasses couldn't be fixed here due to a lack of materials at the store, but that he might be able to fit my lenses into one of their frames. He tried popping the lenses out of my old glasses and ended up breaking them. I was so upset, left immediately, and almost didn't come back. I did, however, fall in love with a new pair on the shelf. When I returned, my experience was totally different. The guy who took care of me this time around was so amiable, respectful and very knowledgeable of glasses types, how they fit etc. I was pretty blown away with how he treated me. Slightly older Filipino guy (thats why he was so nice!) It was enough to bring me back to purchase two more pairs of glasses after the first! Going to be a regular here:) read more

This place gets 5 stars alone for customer service. They have a great system so you don't feel like you're waiting forever. Once I passed the eye check/screening, I finally got to Dr. Chen. He was very funny, down to earth, and knowledgeable. He also explained everything to me in detail. Dr. Chen was actually the first doctor who's given me the best prescription for my contacts. I have slight astigmatism. Because of my astigmatism being so small, I would never be able to wear the right contacts. Nope. Dr. Chen debunked that! I got a free pair to try. You can also order more from their website. I did a price comparison with all of the online stores. In the end, Davich won even with discounts and rebates. Not just the price, but I'd rather support a local, small business. On top of the great customer service, Davich offered a discount on a pair of glasses. If you're on a budget, they have really great frames for $100. They also have some name brand frames if you're wallet is not hurting. They had my glasses ready by the end of the day. I was only in the area to visit family for Thanksgiving when I decided to go to an opto. I called several offices but went to this office because of the convenience, you don't need to make an appointment to be seen and their hours are very flexible even on weekends, and because of my Uncle's recommendation. The employees speak English, Tagalog and Korean (not sure if anyone speaks Spanish) which is very good for customers. The office is big and offers several amenities. Try their coffee. Their pricing is very affordable. My eye exam was only $40 which is applied towards the glasses if you decide to purchase it there. Dr. Chen is very professional, personable, and nice. He offered me to try contact lenses which is additional $40 for the exam with training or no cost if I don't want it after I try the lenses. He gave me the contacts I tried, which is good to use for a month, for free. They did not push me to purchase any products from their office, which is nice! I didnt feel forced to get anything! I bought a pair of glasses but decided to wait for the contacts as I want to see how it turns out. After 3-4 hours of wearing it, my eyes were really irritated after I removed the contact lenses. It was red, itchy and burning. I went back the following day for Dr to see it. They have a lot of frames to choose from, which probably was the hardest part of my visit. LOL. I got my frame for a good price. The only downside during the visit was that I had to ask the employee for the 20% off they have posted in their office before it was applied. Other than that, everything was good. I was able to pick up my new glasses the same day. The reason why I gave this office a 5 star is because other than the price, they go beyond their service! They accommodated to see me after hours for the eye irritation from the contact lenses, since I have to drive back north the same day. I am very pleased with the care I received! read more

GO SEE CINDY - if I could tell you ONE thing about this place it would be to come see her!!! Otherwise there are of course other great things about this place. One very important thing is their price point. They don't only have expensive or inexpensive frames. They have a WIDE variety of choices and their service really tops any place I have visited. Period. Most of the time they will be able to provide a very quick turn around on your glasses unless you have really bad eyesight. In this case they may have to order your lenses in and it may be ready the next day but my sister and I's were done same-day and in a little over one hour. Their interior is simple and easy to figure out where what is due to BIG signs that show you prices, too. This is great since if you have a budget you don't have to feel uncomfortable asking about prices and flipping over the glasses to check on the price either. You simply know the part you are browsing is a certain price and that's that. How great is that?? Anyways I am bringing my family back to get their eyewear here and not to mention the eye exam costs $40 and is deducted from your purchase if you buy glasses here. LOVE LOVE LOVE ~ I love the way they run their business and you can tell everyone who works here is happy, too! I already can't wait to come back. Dr Dickson Chen is a legend! He's an incredible Doctor and Human Such a nice man full of joy, Love, and laughter! I've never liked past optometrists, but Dr Chen is such a pleasure to visit! The exam is quick, fun and easy and Hi tech! Plus the biofinity lenses you can get here are way better than any other lenses I've ever tried! Davich Optometry is amazing as well! It's absolutely beautiful in here and the selection is amazing! There's definitely no need to go anywhere else, this is definitely the best place in Los Angeles ! Davich is a Korean based chain with really trendy affordable frames and glasses. They also have a ophthalmologist in house to help you with an eye exam. If you spend a minimum of $60 on glasses and get a $40 eye exam, you get $40 off your frame (aka a free eye exam)! Their customer service is on point. They make glasses a little less overwhelming. They assist you each step of the way: choosing a frame right for your face shape (and are super patient/helpful), choosing a lens (tailored to your lifestyle) and finally shaping the frame to fit like a glove! They are multicultural and have associates that speak English, Filipino, Korean and Spanish. Cindy is so awesome! She was so helpful and patient with me! I have a really "round" head and usually have difficulty even fitting into men's eyewear. Cindy was able to find me the perfect pair!!! I've been searching for a couple years to find a pair that fit and look cute; spent a fortune trying to find the perfect pair. I'm so thrilled!!! I was even able to find sunglasses THAT FIT MY HEAD (and look cute).
