So I have been wanting to do invisalign to straighten my teeth, and after price matching a few dentists I found Dr. Eshom. They offered the treatment way cheaper than any other dentists in the area, so I went for a consultation. The office is beautiful and his staff is very nice. Amber is amazing and has been assisting me as I have been coming in for my new sets of trays. Today was scheduled to be my day where I was finished with the treatment, but I wasnt happy with a few things. Dr. Eshom and Amber saw my concerns and was happy to continue the treatment to get my teeth where I want them to be at no extra charge. I've never had a better experience with orthodontia and general dentistry than I have in the past year. I looked into Invisalign about a year ago (3/2014), and found raving reviews for Dr. Eshom. I decided to give it a try and asked for a free consultation + cost analysis. For Invisalign, I primarily worked with Amber with appointment scheduling, payment etc. My treatment plan was only ~7 months, and they were extremely flexible with scheduling appointments for me, especially since I work in North County. The staff members I mainly interacted with during my visits were Brooke, Amber, and Cynthia. Really sorry to the others who I've interacted with but can't remember their names. Everyone I encountered during my visits were great. I had nothing but the best care possible. They were great with insurance claims as well as in the dental room. Dr. Eshom walked me through each step of the Invisalign process. Pictures were taken, videos recorded, and a out popped a theoretical representation of what my teeth would look like after the treatment was complete. I was left without any questions or concerns, and my teeth now look GREAT. I saw Dr. Ferrera for general dentistry - specifically to remove a filling and replace it with crowns and onlays. Brooke and Cynthia were great while I was in the dental chair under my mouth numbing anesthesia, and Cynthia was wonderful at taking care of insurance claims and billing. Comfort of the dental office is amazing. The seating area seats about 5 or 6 people, but the wait is never more than 5 minutes, and they are ALWAYS on time. I was offered a warm neck wrap during each of my visits. Their bathroom is in impeccable condition, and I'm often using it because I'm either headed to or coming from work, both of which are 40min+ drives. There are TVs in the general dentistry rooms that were on when I had my filling cleaned and filled. There are small water bottles at the door in an ice bucket. I usually will take one to remove any sort of after taste of dental work that's been done. Plus my mouth gets a little dry, so a small bottle of water on my way out is perfect! There is nothing but professionalism, friendliness, and the strive for great patient care from this office. I highly recommend Dr. Eshom and Dr. Ferrera for Invisalign and general dentistry. After looking into Invisalign for a long time I finally decided to go for a consultation to figure out what the financing would look like. When I first walked into the office it was VERY nice and pretty upscale id have to say but then again you are in La Jolla. Not only is the office nice but the staff is equally as good. From the initial phone call to leaving they made it very easy for me and I felt extremely welcomed. As far as the negative reviews about the discount goes id have to strongly disagree in saying that I not only got the discount but used my insurance as well cutting the cost in HALF!!! Cant complain about that one. Although I couldn't do their in office payment plans Sierra helped me find other options that better suit me and my budget. Because of that I will be getting my first trays in about a week!! Dr.Eshom is the real deal, now I see why he is so highly praised. He was very personable making me feel comfortable and insuring I was on board with everything that was happening. I went to get Invisaligns back in 2013- so I guess this review is LONG overdue! My results were amazing! I went in because I had a few misaligned teeth in my uppers but he showed me that my lowers were crooked too. The difference between my smile before and after are night and day! When my Invisaligns treatment was finished, he did some gum treatments for free just so I can have the best smile possible! All of his staff were friendly and professional. Lori is THE BEST dental hygienist in the world (well at least in MY experience). She is very personable, does not pressure me into buying anything I don't need and takes good care of my teeth! Yes, I realize that you must pay up front (and get reimbursed by your insurance later), but the service you receive at their office is incredible. Dr. Eshom is also very friendly, and looks out for the health and maintenance of your teeth. He doesn't pressure you to fix everything in your mouth, he listens to what bothers you, and recommends ways to improve (again with no pressure). I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Eshom and his team. I had one tooth on the bottom that was leaning inward that really bothered me. I also had spacing on the top as my teeth were shifting due to grinding my teeth at night. Everyone is their office is so helpful and kind and I feel really lucky that I picked them to do my Invisalign treatment. It lasted for about 7 months and the buttons are kind of awful, but it's over now and my teeth are definitely straighter.
