I called to make an appointment & the office staff were so friendly & accommodating. We went in for the initial consultation & it was fantastic! From the front desk, the nurses, Dr. Ericson. They were all friendly, patient, answered all our questions--even the silly ones. Prior to surgery, we were contacted & again, all instructions were made clear & we felt reassured that we were prepared. The day of surgery, we arrived & my son was quickly taken in for the procedure & came out in less than an hour. We picked him up at the back of the building, again with instructions & went home. I was given the cost of the initial visit and despite my inability to have a full set of X-rays after I'd already paid I was given an option of a panoramic view at no Extra cost! He never rushed us or tried to push a decision -- instead, he gave us the time and space to decide what felt right for our family. We decided to move forward with the laser procedure, which took less than two minutes. Dr. Yazdi walked us through every step, made sure our son was comfortable, and carefully explained the recovery process. He even called us personally afterward to check in and ensure we had everything we needed to support our son's healing. He took a couple photos and talked a lot. He threw around lots of unfamiliar medical terms and then gave patronizing analogies to explain the conclusion we should be coming to. The facility was clean and the people were friendly, but you should only come here if you've already decided to have the procedure done. It's hard to know who to trust because I've read online that lactation consultants get a kickback for referring patients to get this procedure (I cannot confirm myself). As feedback for the office, I would suggest sending something more professional than the buzzfeed style "55 reasons to get this surgery" blog post ahead of the initial visit; this was a red flag for me. You can also consider a more consultative approach but you might make less money.

I mean, I called everyone on my provider list in Hayward, San Lorenzo. San Leandro and Castro Valley. Out of desperation, I began calling people out of my coverage. Dr Fong agreed. It took 3 hours to do one side. (I needed both sides). He said it was one if the hardest extractions he has done. He has declined to do the other side, but will be giving me a referral for the other side. His office called me 2x a week during recovery to check on me. I have switched dental plans. I am thinking of switching dentists entirely because he is forthright, communicates clearly and his staff is wonderful.

WOW. I called back three more times asking to speak to Dr. Wong or Estella and she hung up on me THREE MORE times. I demand Margarita be reprimanded for her horrible customer service demeanor and apologize to me. That's just NOT how you EVER treat a customer that's been frequenting your practice for almost two decades with her three kids.
