My husband and I were touring Los Angeles for the weekend and decided to spend some time on Rodeo Drive. I've shopped many DY pieces in department stores since we don't have an actual David Yurman store in San Diego, and I was pleased to see a life sized store in Beverly Hills. We walked in and while it took a few minutes, we were greeted and told someone would be with us shortly. This was the perfect opportunity to spend some time walking around the store and looking at the different pieces the store had that I haven't seen in Nordstroms or Bloomingdales, completely uninterrupted. Sam R. was our salesperson and he was instantly warm and friendly and was able to assist me with my purchase, as I had already decided what I wanted within those few minutes. Sam answered the few questions I had and helped me select a beautiful bracelet that complimented the one I was already wearing. I am a fan of David Yurman and I've come to expect quality products from them . Less than 2 yrs ago I purchased a rosary bracelet that I've been wanting for some time now . The service at the store was impeccable and the store itself is beautiful. I left Happy with my purchase and loved my new bracelet . While in class about a year and a few months after the purchase I was sitting at my seat when I felt the bracelet slide off my wrist . I thought the class had come undone until I saw one of the beads fall off onto the floor. I was in shock because it hadn't been long since I purchased and I couldn't believe that David Yurman would sell or make an item that would fall apart so easily . I called the Rodeo Store where I purchased and was told by a sales associate that it's considered normal wear and tear and that I would have to pay $85 to have it fixed. I explained to him that I understand normal wear and tear but not on an item this recently purchased . The sales associate just reiterated that that's the store policy . So now do I want to spend $85 to repair a $250 bracelet where the same thing might happen again or do I completely cut ties with David Yurman for making and selling a cheap quality item and not standing behind it . In addition to I want to add that I'm a bracelet user and have a few other pieces from other jewelers whom I've purchased years ago and they have not had normal wear and tear or fall apart on me . Good thing we have other places to shop I will be going elsewhere from now on . read more

This is by far my favorite place for David Yurman jewelry in the area as the selection is outstanding, the quality of service exceptional. I always return to the same saleperson, Alex. Rant: When I'm interested in purchasing a $14,000 piece of rock, you better try kissing my ass a little harder. I know sales associates in these types of stores (especially on Rodeo Drive) are bombarded with people who are "just browsing," but when I'm carrying bags from other stores on Rodeo and I tell you I'm interested in looking at something, you better snap to attention, especially since I can just hop over to Saks or Neiman Marcus and buy the same thing with less of a bitchy attitude and a better return policy! Also, extra minus stars for not knowing the origins of your product. When you're selling high-end goods, you better be an encyclopedia of your company's products otherwise you make your customers doubt the actual quality of your products. End Rant. read more

Another designer I never heard of. They must be big if they have a store here. I did google them when I went to the hostel and wasn't sure what the BFD was. I have been to a lot of David Yurmans in LA and in Vegas but I have never purchased something my own until Christmas time. This is by far the best store in selection and most helpful staff. Sam was the men's specialist that helped me right away. I showed him what I wanted and he picked out the bracelet right away. We were having trouble finding the ring I wanted in the correct size so he pulled out everything similar. He showed me the most perfect ring in the correct size. It was better than the one that I came in looking for. I said I'll take it and was finished with my Christmas shopping!
