This was the worst experience ever. We went in to find my already hesitant sister a dress on Monday 1/16/23. We were helped by Alexis (that's what the receipt said, her name tag said lex). Initially everything was amazing. Lex told us the dress my sister picked was a clearance dress and we couldn't get any other size except size 18. I asked if it would be that same dress or a new one simcw the dress tried on was dirty. She said jt would be a new one, she clarified she only had size 18s in the warehouse.She said she would place an order for the dress and usually because it's a wedding dress it arrives fairly quickly she said 2-3 days. We agreed and even ordered additional bridesmaid dresses. We had a wedding dress, two bridesmaid dresses, and a veil that was being ordered. On Friday 1/20 I get a cal stated my items are in. When k went to pick them up they said three items were in. That was weird to me since it should have been 4. I asked the lady but ones the wedding dress right. She said no I only see two bridesmaid dresses and a veil. I was about to lose my shjt. She said let me go to the back and check. She took what felt like forever. And then came back and said sorry it is here. She said lex had steamed it for us as a courtesy. I thought how nice. We went the very next day Saturday 1/21 to get it altered only to discover the wedding dress was dirty. I was like sis isn't this the same one you tried on? I immediately called David's bridal and spoke to Briana. She said let me check. The system showed they sold us a floor model and no one ever told us. I was like no that's not what we agreed on so I went back in to return it and exchange it. I had to drive from San Bruno to Pinole since they closed the one that used to be in colma, and let me add on gas ain't cheap. She said that's fine come on in. But didn't take any ownership or even acknowledged their shady mistake. When we arrived we said we were there for Briana. The girl said let me go get her but I think she's about to leave. Then i overhear someone tell someone else I'm a snarky way "I'm off". As in y'all figure it out not my problem no more. So we were handed off to Tiffany. I mentioned the issue to Tiffany damn near 10 times so y'all think she apologized even once? Do y'all think they tried to explain the mistake? Do y'all think we got anything out of it? No instead we had to pick another dress and they can't even expedite the dress. They said it would take an additional 10days. She said she could try to call and hound them but that's as much as she can do. I said how is it that y'all mess up and now we need to pay for it? Again ignored my comment. This was supposed to be a fun exciting experience for my sister. Now we're left with waiting for a dress till the end of month when the wedding is 2/15. So close to the wedding we should not be having to be worried about a dress. I am shocked that a place that deals with an outfit for a woman's most important day was so wreckless and showed zero remorse about what they did. I've managed a bank for the last five years and you should always acknowledge how the client feels and apologize if you or your staff messed up. I am not surprised no one apologized because if the managers don't take ownership why should the staff. Tiffany, Briana and Alexis y'all need to do better for your clients. And my sisters dress better hurry the fuck up. And we even tipped Alexis the first day. It's frustrating to know we tipped someone who played us. read more

I had by far the worst experience of the wedding. planning process at this store. Unprofessionalism permeated through the alterations department--so much so that after spending several hours getting my dress poked with hundreds of pins (with me standing in it in heels for 4 hours while pregnant), I had no choice but to have every pin removed and take my dress to get altered somewhere else. Alyssa made me cry. She was mean and sarcastic. I don't understand how she could have this job. She has no business working in customer service and her combative attitude left me feeling terrible. I will be telling my friends not to get anything altered here. And to avoid this store altogether if possible. Jessica F. was my stylist/consultant and she definitely made this first experience a great one! She pulled a few dresses I picked already from online, then she also added dresses in an out of our selection between me trying them on and discussing what I liked or did not like. With the help of her manager (sorry I did not get her name, but taller, fun, white woman with glasses,) she snuck in a dress for me to try on and this later became my wedding dress! She suggested this dress after seeing me in the first try on and really liked the shape on me. I am thankful for the experience overall! Between one dress that I thought was going to be the one, and the dress picked by the manager and Jessica, Jessica pointed out how she could see my body language and better reaction change when I had on THEE dress. I appreciated her honesty and what she had to say, it was very helpful! Shortly before this, there were 2 bride-to-be's who found their dresses and rang bells! Hearing them shake the bell made me surprised because it seemed like everyone found their dress quickly in there! Nonetheless I started this appointment unure if I was actually going to find one, but here we are. My first wedding dress from my first appointment. I feel lucky! The ambiance inside David's bridal was nice. I did not feel judged and I felt like everyone was there if you needed them, but also gave you enough space to feel everything out on your own. Jessica was great with explaining how dresses would fit after the alterations, and suggesting different veils or styles for alterations that could be made to suit what I liked from other dressses. Highly reccomend coming here, especially if you are wanting to spend less than $2k but still find a beautiful dress for any type of wedding. While the customer service (on initial fitting appointment) was not super attentive (and there was basically no one else in the store at the time) the prices are worth dealing with any deficiencies in service. I found my perfect dress on that first appointment and have been happy with the customer service follow up since then. The alterations fitter was very experienced. I cannot express my disappointment enough in the quality of the dress my daughter recently wore to her high school prom. It was gorgeous, and in appearance worth every cent. We had a few alterations. It was a little too large as she had recently decreased a bit in her weight, but not enough for the dress to be taken in. She tried it on once in the store, once at her fitting, and once at pick up. The dress did not need to be pulled to close at all. When she put it on as the last step to leave for her dance, one side seam was torn, the fabric shredded. I rushed to put shred-stop fabric glue on and resew the seam while she cried. We pulled it off, and you could not see the tear in photos or while she wore it. By the time she came home, there were three other tears on bodice seams and where the bodice meets the skirt. I know she ate and danced in the dress, but it is what we expect people to do in prom dresses. It wasn't too small, if anything it was a little loose. My mother has her prom dress, three girls have worn in since. I handed down my dresses to my nieces, and they wore them for years as dress up and to middle school dances. My daughter's dress was by far the most expensive gown any of us have bought, and it did not hold up to one night. The staff at David's Bridal in Pinole where we purchased this was AMAZING. They were kind and professional and fun with my teen. We adored them. The dress was a poorly sewn nightmare. I dropped it at the dry cleaners, where they pointed out yet another shredding seam, and told me they'd never seen a dress fall apart so readily, and advised I get a refund or a new dress. Because of your workers, you could have had a customer for life. Because of the quality of product, you lost our business forever. As stressful as this was, I shudder at the thought of someone's wedding dress falling apart like this prom dress did read more

This year, the David's Bridal store that I originally purchased my dress closed down so my bridesmaids and I drove over an hour to the Pinole location to shop for my wedding dress. I found the dress, and when I went to purchase it, they would not accept my store credit, which explicitly states "to be used as cash at any David's Bridal". There is no way to contact customer service. All numbers have been disconnected. And now I am out $1,330. NOT COOL! BRIDES BEWARE! read more

I only had alterations from this store so this comment is only for alterations. If you want a dress that fits your body, STAY AWAY. My wedding dress was SO beautiful with a beautiful train. The only things that didn't fit were the cups and the length. After spending almost $1000, the cups still didn't fit and their advice - use tape. They also cut my dress way too short! The train was gone and you can completely see my shoes in all my wedding photos. I put on the same pair of shoes/flats to every fitting for them to take measurements and make adjustments so as to why the dress was too short had nothing to do with my shoes/flats. I told them my concerns during my first two fittings and when I came back for my last fitting, the dress was still short and it's still missing the train. As for the cups - They couldn't do anything about the cups. They made the dress so tight for my waist which was unnecessary cause the waist was fine but the cups still didn't fit. I used tons of tapes on my wedding day per their advice but tapes were useless. Just go somewhere else. This place is not even cheaper but it's conveniently located that's why I brought my dress here for alterations. Wedding is a once in a lifetime event. I wish they could have admitted that they didn't know how to alter my dress to fit my body so I could have gone somewhere else. read more

This review is specifically for Tiffany, who was absolutely wonderful. My best friend, her Stepmom, and I came to David's Bridal for bridesmaid dresses and a mother of the bride dress. I had favorited a few things online that I thought would look cute and my friend had taken screenshots of the dresses she liked. When we got there Tiffany took all our measurements and collected all the dresses we were interested in. She made it very easy and kept us organized. All of the dresses I had picked for myself looked like paper bags on me, they were bad. I asked Tiffany if she could find something she thought might look good on me and she knocked it out of the park. The dress she picked for me was super cute. The color I had to pick was sage green but the dress I tried on was in powder pink. Note to all future brides out there: the powder pink dress is basically see through and probably not the best color option. I had a decent experience with my consultant but left with a beautiful gown. I wasn't pressured into buying anything and while this place doesn't have the personalization of smaller boutiques, you can still buy a gorgeous and high quality gown here. There is a lot of unnecessary hate towards DB and after doing both bridal salon and DB, it is not justified. The experience is what you make of it. David's bridal allows you to try on 5 dresses, but she was able to bring a few more for me that fit. I liked that the dresses were actually my size (size 4) rather than a size 12 pinned up. It allowed me to feel more confident. I found a style I didn't know I would like, and there are many to choose from. They are also a lot more affordable than other bridal shops. My sister had her first bridal consult a month ago. They gave her an hour to try on dresses her consultant was giving her the opposite of her dream dress. We had an appointment for her followed by 4 other bridesmaids appointments and a mother of the bride appointment. She left without having her wedding dress. The store had no choices, no sizes and no suggestions. Staff was unprofessional. It was 8:30 pm and my mom picked out her mother of the bride dress, my sister asked if one of them can pull a size for her and the girl replied with she has to go on her break. I can understand that people need to go on breaks but the girl that said that could've helped us. I also left really annoyed by the unprofessional staff. Today I called and asked if I can come in to just try on a dress and check my size (just to verify) before making a purchase but they said I need an appointment to do that. I was greeted right away and was explained the process from the get go. Jessica, who was working with me was friendly, professional and attentive. I need to update my review. I have been to David's Bridal a total of four(yes, four!)times all looking for my perfect wedding gown. Each time the stylist was kind and extremely helpful. However, the last two times my stylist was Jessica and I cannot say enough good things about her! She made me feel like I was the star of the show. She picked dresses I loved and let me try on ones I saw on the website previously and liked. She gave honest feedback while giving me plenty of information about the dresses.
