The food here is great, which is why we've come back so many times. But the service is terrible. While there today for my daughters kindergarten graduation lunch with my parents and two small kids (2,6) we received service like I've never had. The adults ordered sandwiches and we got two pizzas by the slice for the kids. The first two sandwiches (one cold) came out quickly, as well as the fries and soup. As for the kids pizza slices and other sandwich? A 45 min. wait. At which that point I went up to the counter to tell them to make them to go instead. We were apologized to, and given an excuse that there was a mix up in the kitchen, which would be fine if they hadn't used the same excuse at our prior visit when the service then was also less than satisfactory. I'm pretty disappointed. They did give $6 off our bill, but I would have rather my kids gotten their food. Hope they get it together, until then count my family out. read more

Had awful customer service from their "shift lead" and support staff on 5/8/23. My family and I have been going there for the last 4 weeks. Called and placed an order for Half can bacon and mushrooms and half pepperoni with mushrooms told the lady on the phone I didn't care if it cost more and she replied it's no extra charge. Our first pizza was half pepperoni and half pepperoni with can bacon. We went in to get it right (anyone that knows us knows we are not rude or anything) and the young lady in there was rude didn't pay attention or try to look at the receipt but said she'll remake the pizza. I've dined in but usually get takeout. I've gone here for about 15 years with my family. The pizza is not consistent. Some days it has raw dough, others it's perfect or burnt. We went there the other day on a whim. We haven't been to this location in several months since we moved to a different side of town. We weren't greeted when we got in and when the "waitress" finally got to us there was no warm welcome or smile just asked us what we wanted to get started. When the pizza got to us it looked amazing, sadly the pizza wasn't cut well and we had to fight to get the slices and the taste didn't meet normal David's standards. The pizza crust was crunchy and not soft like it normally is and the worst part was the wax peppers, they we RANCID!! I have posted a pic of them even the color was horrible On top of that the darn ranch was like water and didn't have flavor. The pepperoni and ham tastes like the kind you'd get at the dollar store, the cheese is rubbery, the sausage is spongey, and the crust makes Little Caesar's look like they're trying hard. It's basically like the best high school cafeteria pizza you'll ever have. Which means it's ten times the price anyone should have to pay for it. I would've added another star because it wasn't burnt, but they piled all the toppings in the center with no attempt to spread them around. BIG Problem here - I didn't order the Hot Sandwich! I wanted the Cold Sandwich with the Soup & Chips. Taught me a lesson today... don't be too creative on substitutions. I'm a little prejudiced in my review - I never, ever did like Hot Sandwiches... no matter how good a restaurant would make it. Just don't like the yucky, sticky, oily feeling of a Hot Sandwich. Side Order Fries (* 1/2) Thin-cut Fries that are 3/8" wide, pre-dipped in a batter that makes the outside crispy. The problem here is that the Batter will get crispy ahead of the Fries which are still undercooked... as in Tacky. YUCK! Came with a side container of Ranch Dressing and Pizza Sauce (I guess). Total: $13.00. Value - Kinda expensive, don't you think? Atmospere - Typical Pizza Joint atmosphere with three LCD TVs arranged around the room. Do NOT come here for Lunch... unless you want to have a noisy Lunch with Teenagers from Lincoln High School (just a few miles down the road). I guess the Teens have to eat somewhere... There's a nice little Patio, constructed by David's Pizza, directly in front of the restaurant... with it's own TV in a box. I would think it's only practical in the Evenings. read more

As soon as you walk in you know that you ate going to have a great dining experience. The location is pretty much seat yourself which is not a problem because seating is ample. This particular day I decided to get to-go. Process was super pain free. Just called ahead of time with my order (customized it a bit because I wanted mushrooms) and picked up hassle free. The staff were all quite nice about it. The pizza itself was delicious. I love coming with large parties that have never been because I know I will get heralded as a hero for picking such a great place to eat. In this particular instance the pizza was a little salty but keeping water on hand makes up for it easily. The flavor is always there and the ingredients taste great. I read on the menu that the ice cream sundae has 3 scoops of ice cream but I only received 2 scoops and the ice cream was so hard and frost bitten that I didn't even bother to bring it to her attention, the whipped cream was super runny because the girl who made it didn't shake the can before using it. We ordered a large combination pizza with no linguica, the pizza had barely any toppings or cheese and was paper thin (we did not order a thin crust) I love good food and it was such a let down, especially after paying $50+ for such bad food and service. read more

Have to agree, the YouTube video is hilarious! There are a few really good pizza places in town, and this is one of them. If you are looking for fresh dough, fresh toppings and good meat, this is a place! Side of garlic bread for me, please. They recently merged with the frozen yogurt place next door and created a door between the dining areas. Now your kids can have frozen yogurt with their pizza. Two great things in one place. For adults they have a fine selection of local wines and craft beer. For those of the young at heat they have an arcade with a few games in the far corner. It used to be THE place to go for a good pizza, a plus is they gave back to the local high school. David's Pizza has always been our long time Family favorite for Pizza Night for the past 5years. Unfortunately the Customer service has been lacking in Personality and Kindness. We haven't dined in for sometime because of this issue, so decided to just call in to bring home because at least the food is still good. However, calling in my order was no different. We ordered the Family Special with an additional Large pizza and 2 whole sides of wings & fried green beans. Upon asking if we can order half 2 topping on one side and another 2 toppings for the other, the response was "yeah sure whatever." She then gave me the total and ready time and hung up. Not even asking is there was anything else she just hung up. Wasnt too happy at all with the customer serivce, especially when I have a large family and paid a hefty price. Even worse when I got here she gave me my receipts to sign and literally shoved them in my hand and dropped the pen and walked away. So disappointed!! We just took the entire Bear Creek Bruins girls' soccer team plus a bunch BC parents to David's Pizza and as we were getting all the tables set up to accommodate everyone and prepare to drop some serious money on the table, Coach gets a "contract" shoved in his face by one of the waitresses that states the girls and their families are only allowed to stay for two hours and then they have to leave. Coach shoved the contract back and refused to sign it. I tried to see if I could help the situation by talking to David and that did ZERO good. He was adamant about his "policy." So coach took the girls to Eddie's pizza instead. I guess David's head has gotten too BIG for his pizza box. Remember when David's was just a little HOLE IN THE WALL back in the day?!? Remember when our money was good and we raved about his fabulous crust and helped him grow his business?!? I've been frequenting David's for over two decades and I've never seen this kind of business practice there before and had I not experienced it myself, I wouldn't have believed it. He refused to serve us unless we signed his contract agreeing to leave in two hours. The girls (22+) were pretty bummed. His crust might be the best in Stockton but his customer service SUCKS. I order regularly from this pizzeria. I often order "Taste of Gilroy" which has fresh tomatoes. Once again, today I ordered extra tomatoes and when I got home, the pizza had NO tomatoes. This pizza used to be my favorite. Grew up eating it. The quality has TANKED over the last few years. My family ordered our last pizza through them. He said they called their other location...still no order. I preceded to call the store to talk to the manager....who said he was sorry but the order was never placed. So ummm who did i place my order with????? He asked if I spelled my name right? He also proceeded to tell me that I called the wrong store. I told him I don't know how I called the wrong store when I just pushed redial. Pretty much making it to it all being my fault. Which upset me even more. Needless to say they reorder and paid. Came back home then went back.... turns out they gave our order to someone else. The only reason why they figured that out is cause the other people called and said they got the wrong order.
