It is so refreshing to find a company that goes above and beyond. i was on my way in a hour drive when my tire showed a faulty tire pressure sensor. I pulled over and was not able to get the valve stem cap off I went to the next exit and found day heights auto. They were able to get me in replace the valve stem and get me on the road in app 30 minutes. I was also impressed with the help they were given another customer who was 8 hrs from home. Heads up that you have to pay diagnostic fees to just have them look at your car. $190 and doesn't apply to your job. Had strut problem and was in a bind, but called multiple other places after and they laughed at fact they charged for something so obvious. Will not be taking my fleet of 5 cars here again! I wouldn't waste your money, because they will be happy to take it. I've always worked on my own vehicles, but there are some machines that are too impractical for a backyard mechanic to purchase. This story started when I was replacing my car's front brake pads, and because nothing is ever simple, the front right caliper had a hard time decompressing enough to get the new pads on. Without sucking air in, I carefully opened the brake lines and got the new pads on. Knowing that the rubber hoses on my car were known for getting clogged, I went online to order new ones. Instead of swapping out all of the rubber brake lines, I decided to try and have Day Heights Auto use an expensive "fluid flushing machine," to try and blow all the lines out. This was a mistake. When purchasing the new brake lines, I found a front right caliber for $25. Even though I didn't need it, for that cheap, I added it on. Before I started swapped out parts, I asked day Heights for a price check. It was $150 for the flush, which is a pretty typical starter cost that shop use to sucker you in. I thought, well they are already opening the lines, I wonder how much more it was cost to just have them replace the front right line and caliper before they did the flush. Considering that this should only add 30 mins to the flush, I asked how much they would charge. They wanted another $300. Astonished, I couldn't believe they wanted $450, so I went home and swapped the line and caliper myself. Later, I go back to have the flush done and this is where the real fun begins. They first tell me that the back calipers are so seized that I'm going to need all new back brake calipers and hoses. Keep in mind that these brakes are working fine, I'm just trying to do some preventive maintenance. They say that they couldn't even open the back lines because of all the corrosion. Which on a flush, is where you have to start. I'm thinking well they weren't able to do what I was wanting but I guess they at least tried to do something, so how can I make this fair. I said, alright I'll pay for the flush today, but when I come back with everything flowing, can I just pay for a brake inspection because that's what basically what you did for me today. Fair is clearly not on this shop's interest; the manager tries to tell me that they were able to suck the fluid out from the reservoir and got 75% of the fluid flushed. So, I needed to pay full price then and again when I come back. If this impractical situation was even possible, it's still 0% unsafe to be driving like this. I went through and replaced all the rubber hoses, and even ordered new bleeder valves just because they told me they stripped them trying to open them up. I hope you can appreciate my frustration when I go swap the bleeder valves, there was a decade of dirt still wrapped around them that easily peeled off when I put a wrench on it. They hadn't even tried to flush it. So, I track down the owner of the company, explain my situation, just so I can have them agree to finish the flush without having to pay for a new one. I didn't spend thousands of dollars wasted on lies, but I hope you heed to my warnings that Day Heights Auto are just blatantly trying to steal your money. read more

Where do I start? Absolutely THE MOST SHADY, DISHONEST repair place I have ever been to. Not only did they NOT fix my car, I had to take it back twice because they didn't put a part back on correctly and had to take it back immediately. Then they didn't put my wheel back on and severe damage was done to my car because of it. Of course they won't admit their mistake so obviously won't make it right. Definitely would not recommend. I had these folks replace an electronic lock actuator. The door panel isn't on correctly and they bent or misrouted a latch cable, because the sliding door will not latch open now. They allowed the window regulator unit to unspool and now it sounds like gravel to roll the window up or down. I warned them to tape the window unit in place and obviously they didn't. Then instead of replacing it they tried to re-spool it. I told them the issue and they weren't the ones to diagnose it so they aren't owning up to any of the issues they caused. Shoddy work and an unprofessional response to damage caused. Almost $800 and it looks like a shade tree mechanic hacked it back together. I know exactly what they did as I replaced the other side but couldn't do this side. They misrouted or kinked a cable connected to the door latch and wouldn't even come out to look at it because it was five minutes until closing Now I'm going to have to take a day off work to finish It correctly myself which will require a new window regulator costing another $103. I can only assume (until I open it up) that the retainer pins on the door panel are now broken and that's why the panel is hanging loose. I was willing to pay the price for the work, but this is just shady. I went to them because of how much integrity the family shop had. They've taken good care of me over the years at the flagship shop but this was a slap in the face. I had to save up for this repair because I didn't want to try the side that would require left handed work shoulder deep in the door and after they botched it they won't admit fault. they successfully resolved the above the next day, but the day of pickup I was met with nothing but resistance and refusal to admit anything was amiss. read more

I received a coupon in the mail from this company for a $29.95 oil change. I decided to give them a try and made an appointment. Around 45 minutes after my appointment time the person behind the service desk asked me who did my last oil change. I responded at the Valvoline shop at Union Cemetery and Montgomery Rd. The service person said they must have overtightened your drain pan bolt because they could not get it to seal. I asked them what they could do and they said they could put a temporary drain plug in to get me back on the road. He also indicated it was just a few dollars. I waited about another 45 minutes for the temporary plug to show up and get installed. When I went to pay the bill, my new total was $59.49. I asked why so much and was told the plug was more than a few bucks and they needed to charge for the labor. When I got home, I went out to see what kind of plug they put into the oil pan. The plug was a toggle bolt style but was leaking oil on my driveway. I called their office and they said they wanted to make it right and not to drive the vehicle. He said they have their own tow truck which they sent to pick up my vehicle. I also told them I had found a new oil pan and gasket online that I could order for $40 + shipping to eliminate the temporary drain plug. It was Friday evening before the tow truck arrived and they would not be able to work on it until Monday. I received a call from the service person on Monday. He said they could not get the temporary plug to stop leaking but could fix it for around $680. I asked him why so much, and he told me he couldn't warrant customer parts and needed 2-1/2 hours of labor. I told him that was outrageous and asked him to return my truck. He said I would have to pay for the tow which turned out to be $96.40. The tow truck driver was respectful of me and my property. I fixed this myself using my $40 parts and it took me 1-1/2 hours lying on the ground with just my ratchet set to remove and replace 10 bolts. I do not recommend using this business in Loveland. read more

Either inept mechanics or deliberately trying to rip people off. Said car needed new engine. Had it towed to another shop. It was a seized a/c compressor unit. Repair cost was a 1/4 of engine replacement. read more
