I enjoy Daylight Donuts and frequented the other locations regularly because they were near my past two places I lived. I now live closest to this daylight donuts so I thought it would be a good new option. The first time, I waited in a very short drive thru line for 20 mins before leaving. The second time, I waited 5 mins for the one guy in the drive thru to be served. I then pulled up to the ordering board and was asked to "wait just a minute". Ten minutes later, she comes back on and says "thank you for waiting we currently only have two chocolate donuts and they are gluten free". She could've told me that initially before I waited. This place is walkable to my house so yeah I gave it a third try. I went to the empty drive thru line and I ordered a maple long John with white cream and an iced vanilla latte. Basically, it took five minutes to order because first she heard it was two maple long johns no filling then two with one with filling then one with no filling then finally got what I was trying to order. I got to the window and she seemed frazzled. She apologized for the donut being "way overfilled" as it was all over her hands. She then gave me my latte in a paper cup, which I first thought was a hot latte so started to ask and then realized was an iced latte. I said oh sorry I didn't realize you serve your iced lattes in a paper cup. Her reply was "yes we do but I can charge you for the smaller size" which was an odd response. The donut was way overfilled, but the actual donut was overcooked with off texture. The other two locations are consistent with excellent customer service. This one is terribly inconsistent with what Daylight Donuts (a chain in many states) usually offers. Their staff is either not trained correctly, poorly managed, understaffed or something. Donuts and baked goods should not take longer to order than an entire fast food meal. Now I drive an extra several miles for my donuts. read more

My first time coming here it was 9:30 am and not much to choose from and the pregnant girl working there was not helpful at all and had an attitude 15$ for 5 donuts and a lil bag of donut holes would not recommend this place don't waste your time just go to city market for donuts they are much bigger. read more

Great little donut shop right in the heart of Grand Junction . It's very old Timey and has a locally owned flair and attitude. The donuts are definitely made by hand as each donut was a little different and they had a wonderful variety of different types of fun donuts like cherry pie and bacon maple, I wish I was able to bring my kids with me when I traveled and went to fun spots like this because it's not every day you get a unique experience like daylight donuts I give a solid four stars only because of the price it was $32 for 18 donuts while I'm not totally up to speed on the price of donuts I don't think that donuts should cost that much apiece but it is locally owned and up totally worth it. The donuts were delicious and the staff was wonderful and friendly. They have a drive-through, which is a plus and the seating area is probably the largest seating area I've ever seen in a private Leo donut shop. read more

Ordered donuts twice from them. Neither time could they fill my order. First time was day of, second time was an order placed two days ahead of time. They still "ran out" of donuts. Grubhub was supposed to deliver both times. I've had issues with them as well. Apparently, menu items that show on their site, they don't carry. Maybe they should change their menu to be correct. Won't try a third time with them. Disappointed! Looks like we need a real donut place in town that can handle actual orders. read more

Daylight Donuts (on NORTH Avenue) is the best donut place in town. Their donuts are the perfect blend of not too dense and not too airy. My daughter says they are nicely frosted! My favorite is the Honey Bun...chewy donut with a nice crunch, and not too heavily dressed with drizzles of honey and frosting. There is a great variety of cake donuts, fritters, hand pies, and more. Something for everyone. A handy drive through is available if you're car-bound. They also offer coffee, lattes, milks, and other drinks. Great for kids and adults. It's a bit sterile but spacious and clean. The staff is friendly. Come early though as they start to run out of donuts by mid-morning. A great way to start the day! read more

Daylight Donuts is always a safe bet for a tasty donut. The service is hit or miss, but the honey bun and twist make up for any disappointments. A dozen donuts for the family was just shy of $11 today, which included the specialty donuts like the twist, fried pie, apple fritter and filled long johns. The donuts are great, the coffee is OK, and the service is excellent. The line was almost out the door at 9:00 on Saturday morning, but they have lots of friendly counter help and two registers, so we were served surprisingly quickly. I asked for a Danish, but they only do donuts here, nothing fancy. I had a Death by Chocolate long John, a raspberry filled donut and a double shot of espresso. I must have been the first person to order a double shot, as it confounded both the "barista" (it's a completely automated machine) and the cashier. The espresso was average at best but drinkable. Next time I'm just going to have a regular coffee. My daughter said the hot chocolate was excellent, and she knows her hot chocolate. The parking lot is too small, but that's a good problem to have. Oh, and in addition to unhealthy breakfast fare, they also serve hot dogs later in the day! 3 1/2 stars read more

They asked if she wanted them to sing to her and within a minute they had five people singing to her along with a special donut with a lit candle for her to blow out. I recently tried 3 of the local donut shops for their glazed buttermilk and apple fritters. The glazed buttermilk was rather small in size. The glaze coverage was good, but I've never seen choclate drizzled on top before? The texture was good, but the taste was a little off, not necessarily bad but different. Perhaps because of the chocolate. The apple fritter was just ok. Very little apple flavor and no apple chunks. Texture was good, but almost the only flavor was cinnamon. Daylight donuts on North Ave. is not good. I am a local and have gone to this location. Been to other daylight chains that are awesome. So I'm disappointed about this one. There's a young blonde girl who's rude & can't pick out the right donuts in the drive thru. The donuts aren't very fresh or tasty & the coffee is gross. Do not recommend. I drive an extra 10 min from my house to the one on orchard mesa because they're so much better instead of this one on North that's less than 3 min to prove how much I don't like them. read more
