We are a manufacturer and have a lot of experience shipping via carriers like Daylight. Will never ship with them again as they literally destroyed a custom built pallet (fully enclosed). My parts were all over the place, thrown haphazardly back into the pallet that was now upside down (because they had destroyed the bottom and all of the parts fell out). I filed a claim, inspector came out, and after much pestering and almost 4 months they finally denied the claim because they said the pallet was not strong enough. We have lots of experience with pallets the same as this one with many other shipping companies. Never has the pallet been the problem. Bottom line is their forklift operators obliterated the pallet. This company does not stand behind their services nor will they do the right thing. Plenty of other carriers out there, use them. read more

"Exceptionally poor communication, poorly trained employees, poor follow-up to a simple complaint. As the consignee I was unavailable to receive delivery on delivery day and damage noted on box so shipment refused by an employee. I called but unbeknownst to me shipper had already told them to return it with no contact to me. When I spoke with Milton he informed me the shipment was in Neenah terminal (just 70 miles from me) and would be held there until I got back to them. I called and spoke to Nancy a day or two later who was clueless (but nice) but never called me back as she said she would. I had to call Alex a week later to get to customer service. Teresa said she "was listening" on an email and never got in touch with me. I finally reached out to them again after 2 weeks of no contact and the shipper got involved saying he had called to have board returned immediately after delivery refused and the board was already in transit back. Meanwhile Milton and his support team were telling me otherwise or not responding. My issue is with the incorrect information and zero followup provided by Daylight. I'm out $250 and lots of time because they didn't just tell me I had to call the shipper on the first phone call. The shipper who was shipping the board for a friend never mentioned that detail either. This is what Daylight finally replied after 3 weeks of emails! "Although it does not help you with this previous issue we are currently changing processes to avoid the confusion seen with this case. I can assure you we strive to constantly improve and unfortunately you were a case study to make improvements from." Christian Hope this helps other consignees. I was told the shipment would be picked up on a specific date, then it was rescheduled to another day later. I was told that delivery from coast to coast would be handled in 4-5 days. It took my delivery 4 days to move 300 miles and then has sat there for the past 3 days. I shipped a car coast to coast in half the time and for half the money. All they will do is tell you they are sorry and that they guarantee you get your delivery. read more

This freight company is by far the slowest on getting freight moved I have ever seen. Definitely wont be using there services again.

This carrier was the transport company for a 350 pound, double sink vanity I bought for a re-modeled bathroom on line. Daylight Transport arrived with the vanity out of the blue, unannounced. No phone call, no e-mail, no snail mail, nothing. And then they had the effrontery to just leave it at the front door. That's right, once I signed for it the driver just left.... left a 350 pound vanity at the front door. A further complaint. I have had absolutely nothing but headaches with Daylight Transport. Our company ships large freight throughout the US on almost a daily basis, we use multiple different carriers, and without fail, every time we use Daylight there is a huge problem. They NEVER pick up on time, they NEVER delivery on time and their customer service is horrible. I told my freight forwarder to never even bother quoting with them because they are literally the worst carrier EVER. Do not use this company if you need to get a shipment somewhere and want to keep your clients happy. This company gets good marks for getting the product where it needed to be but bad marks for the rude driver. This unyielding delivery person flatly refused to move the delivery truck to the rear of the building. Prior to contracting with this company, make sure they will follow specific delivery instructions. read more

Bad customer service. I was told the goods would be delivered within a specific time slot, which didn't arrive. Waited patiently for another 30 minutes before calling them back, and was told that I was supposed to set up a delivery appointment with them... To further exacerbate the situation, the delivery guy was rude and told me they would charge me an EXTRA $45(!!!!) to drop off the goods on a hydraulic lift gate!!! I ended up handling/unloading the boxes myself without any of his help. Will NEVER use this company EVER again!!! Should've read these other reviews before hiring this terrible company. I paid for 2 day delivery and it arrived 7 days later, 5 days late! No updates, no explanations. I had to call them to find out what was happening and they never took any responsibility all, blaming it on everything under the sun instead of finding a solution. Terrible. They were over 24 hours late on the pick and product arrived damaged. Then we made notes of the damage on the paperwork and the driver signed the copy that didn't have the damage notated and now are denying the claim which was obviously the carrier's fault. Our product was all over their truck bed. Avoid Daylight Transport at all costs. read more

Item was damaged during shipping. It was covered up and they got someone else to sign it, so I did not have a chance to inspect it. Company acknowledges damage, but since it was signed for refused to take responsibility. Will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Don't trust the quote. They quoted me a price, then billed me nearly double with no notice. It was for the same weight, pallet size, and goods they had shipped previously. After the pick up, they changed the class and category in increased the price with no notice. Further, they were very slow to deal with the issue and in the end told me to "do what you have to do, the law is on our side". This was from a manager. Call some one else. read more

Daylight was hired by Shade Pro for delivery of my awning. I blame them as much as I blame this shipping company. After waiting for seven days after expected delivery I call and Shade Pro will not help me and tell me that it is my responsibility to find my $800.00 awning. I call Daylight and find out that my awning has been sitting on their dock for 7 days. Why didn't they call to set up delivery? was told because I live in the country. So after 35 minutes on hold 09/12/2016 I am told that I am scheduled for delivery between 10a-2p and that the driver will call me when he is 2 hours out. I am presently on hold for 15 minutes with Daylight while this customer service rep. finds my awning. This company is not good for an individual ordering. We are on a major highway so it isn't like the truck has to drive on any small back roads. So frustrating. read more

Absolutely horrible. They missed the first and second appointment, same day for my shipment. When calling about the problem, customer service person interrupted me and talked over me, with no regard for what I was saying. Avoid these people like the plague. Daylight transportation is one of the worst freight companies I have worked with in nearly 20 years. Their internal personnel changed the name on the BOL to another company in our business complex. My shipment was refused by the other company and returned. Contacted customer service and told product would be delivered next day. Two days later I am still waiting for my product. Customer service was contacted again and was told I would receive product next day and call me back. Call never came. I would NOT recommend them. read more

According to the tracking information the package was supposed to be delivered to my warehouse. the tracking number showed that it was delivered. my office receptionist called the customer to let them know and when they came to receive the package it had never been delivered. this was a very important package that was important to receive. i was then told hours past when the delivery was supposed to be made that the driver was not going to make the delivery the day it was said to be delivered. My client was extremely upset and associated this delay with my company which reflected there opinion on our company. We were then told after the operator said that he wasn't going make the delivery he then said that the truck had technical difficulties and had to be towed back to the warehouse. We ended up having to drive a distance to meet the driver and unload him at a different location the package is quite heavy and should have been unloaded by a fork lift at our warehouse. This was my first time working with Daylight and i am very disappointed I would expect arrangements would have been made to have the package delivered as posted. If i had a choice I would not use this service in the future nor would i recommend anyone to use Daylight Transport. read more

This company delvered an exterior from Door 4 Home door in a crate that was not available for inspection. The outer cardboard was intact but upon opening the inner box it was clear that the box was damaged from a forklift and left gouges in the door. The driver clearly covered up the damage and hid it from view. read more

If you ever need a transportation company - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! I was expecting a delivery on Tuesday and didn't recieve it until Thursday. but that is not all, they were supposed to call and schedule a delivery window, not only did I have to call them the day after it was supposed to be delivered to schedule a delivery for the following day ( 2 days late) but was told that they would be here between 8 and 11:00am. The equipment I was waiting for was going out on a truck for delivery from us that day ( 2 days after it was supposed to be here) Also asked that the delivery driver try to be here as early as possible ( call me crazy but you would think after being 2 days late they would try to accomodate the client in any way possible ) - the dispatch told me that the delivery driver has the information and will try as hard as he can to be here by 10:00am. 11:00am rolls around and the driver is not here - I called and was told that his pallet jack was broken and is running late, he will be there by 12:30pm, 12:30pm rolls around and I call and they tell be he will be here within the next hour. 1:45pm rolls around and the delivery driver pulls up. Doesn't unload the shipment and tells me immediately before even saying hello that he needs a check for payment. I ask if I can see the shipment first and he says he is not allowed to unload the equipment until he gets paid. So apparently if the shipment is wrong and he doesn't have all of it they get paid before that is acknowledged. He goes to unload the equipment and has me (7.5 months pregnant) help him unload 20 ft. poles. Then he rolls the actual pallet off the truck with the fully functional pallet jack. The equipment was 2 days late as well as 3 hours after the scheduled 3 hour window, the driver and dispatch were completely unhelpful and rude. To make matters worse, they will not even allow a discount!!!!! I have never written a review in my life but was so appalled at the function fo this company I couldn't help myself. read more
